Daughn…. Here is “The” story you have been trying to get me to publish…….
I fully realize that I am…. and have always been a “Nobody” to people outside my FAMILY. (I am a “Leader”… NOT a “Follower” …. at least in MY mind 🙂 )
I was an “Import” in my small town…. Having NOT lived there my entire life…..
I had an “Ah Ha” moment back in High School when the “Jocks” I went to lunch with….. noticed I was walking with “Them” in the front of the pack…. and one said to me: “What are YOU doing up here with “US”? I IMMEDIATELY turned and walked AWAY from the “Jocks” and followed my own path.
That was a “Turning Point” in my life.
Another “Ah Ha” moment was:
When I was in High school…. while on the Varsity Basketball team… On “Senior night” ( I was a Senior)…. I was the ONLY person NOT announced as a “Senior”…. While the Others were recognised by the PA announcer and stood at Mid-court for the recognition.
Damned near QUIT the team right then and there! (But I did not… because of my Dad)
I Graduated 3rd in my High School class… ( Only 1st and 2nd got “Scholarships” at the local “College”…. (So My parents paid my way for 2 years)
Never mind that I graduated with MOAR “credits” than any previous “graduate” from that school…. Because I had moved there as a sophomore from a different State (Washington)….. I had to take 4 years worth of “Core” classes in 3 years…..
In Arkansas….. They did NOT accept Washington States 9th grade classes and I had to make them up. I had taken “Band”… Not even a “Band” at this school… I took “Spanish”… Didn’t offer that at this school…. I took “Washington History” (Required in Washington)…. but NOT accepted in Arkansas towards “Graduation”…. Washington State REQUIRED “Health” class…. Not in Arkansas. I got the “Credit”… but it did NOT count towards Arkansas’ “Required” Graduation “credits”.
“After School Sports” were exactly that in Washington State…. AFTER SCHOOL!…In Arkansas.. Senior High School Varsity sports were done in our 7th school hour (AND… BEFORE and AFTER school).
My Senior year…. I HAD to complete a Chemistry class in order to GRADUATE!…That class was ONLY “offered” in that 7th hour of school….. I was stuck!… I wanted to Graduate….AND.. Play Football, Basketball and Baseball like I had EVERY year previous.
I took the Chemistry class in order to graduate…. AND… went out for the sports teams AFTER I got out of Chemistry class….. The Coaches in our “school” held that against me…. ( I missed the Warm-ups, Stretching Exercises and “Fundamental” drills due to having to complete the “Core” Chemistry class). Therefore…. my “Coaches” would NOT allow me to “Start” ANY game..(I did get to play and CONTRIBUTED to MANY “WINS” for our team).
When I moved to Arkansas from Washington State…. The “Dating” scene was an eye opener! I was Dumbfounded that the girls here seemed to admire the “Bad Boys” over us “Normal” guys. All of the Cheerleaders and “Beautiful” girls seemed to “Go with” the “Bad Boy” types…. I was confused as to why they were attracted to “Bad” guys? (Druggies and trouble makers).
I “dated” my share of girls in High School but soon tired of the insanity of “Dating” ……
Another “Ah Ha” moment….
At some point around this timeframe….. The Lord revealed to me that HE… was in control! It was NOT of myself…. so that I could not claim (Boast) to have ANY part in my Salvation…. It Is/Was ALL because of HIM! Hallelujah! (If I had ANYTHING to do with it…I would SURELY screw things up!)….. So….I let Go… and Let GOD!
When I was 20 yrs old….. I asked the Lord Jesus (the Christ)…. to send me a “Wife” as I was tired of the “Dating” scene. He DID! (And I LOVE Her with ALL that I am and EVER will be)
My WONDERFUL Wife of almost 37 years now….. Has stood by me…. Helped me… and… CORRECTED me over the years 🙂 (Thank you Jesus!)
WE… Now have a Brand New House…. (With a Pool installed this week)….. 3 vehicles, a Tractor, and a shop FULL of “Materials”…. all with ZERO DEBT!

You and I have a bit in common.
A short story sums up my high school experience well. I came from a family of “new money.” I was/am a talented artist. In high school, I won numerous awards, was chosen among 30 student artists in the state to attend a six week college program for artists, won best of show state-wide for a painting, etc. I also was an actress, and our group won awards for that, too. I was also in the flag-corps for the band.
They chose “most _____” for the yearbooks back then. “Most likely to succeed,” most athletic,” blah blah. All my friends said I was a shoe-in for “most talented.” It was assumed I would be. Literally. But it was by student vote. I was naive enough to get my hopes up. I was somewhat of a social outcast, talent coming with some awkward weirdness, as it generally does.
When “Most Talented” was announced, it was given to a daughter of an “old money” family. She was very popular. She could play the piano, in mediocre fashion. That’s it for “talent.”
However, the reward for excellence is, you get to be excellent. When you look in the mirror, Razor, you get to see excellence looking back at you.

I moved to cali in 78 moved back home in 94 was at DMV to get new Dl saw a short very portly woman wearing shorts baggy t shirt and flip flops sitting waiting her turn and thought she looked familiar I walked over and asked if she was Lisa from HS, she turned a little red and said yes who was I? I said you would probably not remember me but I’m Suzanne I thought she was going to faint from embarrassment as I was dressed nicely and was put together while she looked like a bag lady. she was voted most popular in HS and was a cheerleader with loads of friends while I was a no body nerd who would have never been allowed in her click and wouldn’t have wanted to be in the first place as I march to a different plumber lol.asked how she was doing and such and she didn’t fare to well after HS 2 marriages bunch of kids low income ect.. So we never know how the jocks and cheerleaders turn out after HS .

Not applying it to you, Augbergine, but from my several years of Pageant and often being completely fooled by the talent winners…I finally learned that it indeed might not be the most talented that wins. Judges told me they looked for the person that could “sell” their talent/themselves. It was kind of a “show me what you got” rather than who plays the piano, sings, dances, twirls the baton, etc. the best.
I think we can all see this in big name entertainment throughout the decades…wasn’t always the most talent that got the fame.
High school is a popularity contest, which absolutely coexists with the idea of “selling” yourself. I never cared to fit in, and I didn’t.
25+ years ago . . .
Pastor’s wife . . . truly wonderful young lady in a small, rural, solid evangelical church. Pastor . . . having an affair with church member . . . gets member pregnant. Naturally and rightfully, wife divorces pastor.
Years later, former wife meets good, solid, caring single father and gets married . . . brings him back into faith and church. Children are problem kids. Kids very recently get old enough to leave the nest. All is great, now.
This morning. Husband is driving on his way to work and is killed by Ricardo, who flees the scene of the accident, and is arrested in possession of controlled substances and for driving erratically resulting in a death.
In times like this you could doubt the wisdom of God’s plan . . . He is in control. I can’t and won’t have those doubts. I don’t understand . . . but my understanding is not necessary. My lot is to have faith in God and His plans, regardless of how I perceive the outcome.
I know and absolutely believe that . . .

The universe appears to be extremely well-designed, and yet if we assume that its primary intended outputs are to a large extent OUTSIDE IT, though perhaps by necessity very difficult to understand, then it appears even more well-designed. To me, this is reason to believe. Take comfort in the idea that these parts outside our universe are indeed for OUR benefit, most particularly for those who seem cheated in this universe that we perceive.
The GOOD for which things work is NOT ALL HERE.

About doubting the wisdom of God.
Long time ago, I read a study about Harvard/MIT grads, which was done 25yrs after they graduated. Study was focused on “how successful were they”, and used may different metrics to measure success…. whereby it was impossible to reach a logical conclusion or formula to follow to guarantee success.
Funny thing happened along the way, during the study.
Participants were asked about adversity in their lives, their experiences, and how they overcame.
Without doubt, overcoming adversity was the single biggest factor to defining their success.
Those who had an easy life had lackluster performance. Those with a chip on their shoulder, who were able to develop determination, were the MOST successful.
Sometimes, we have to be forged with fire, finely sharpened, to reach our real potential.

We have soooo many questions.
I believe that was the primary reason for the free “Obama phones”…who were the majority of those who got them? Lots of interesting possibilities about MK, voice commands, etc. I know, it’s kind of out there in conspiracy-land, but I thought of that immediately.
And here’s why….many years ago, I was working in rural Guatemala in several villages. One day my partner and I stopped by the (very nice) home of some(American) Catholic priests assigned to the area. They lived a VERY nice, comfortable life with several young women servants and proudly showed us their “missionary” work to convert the poor, ignorant natives to Catholics.
In each remote little village, they selected one man to be the leader…giving him a calendar, a watch and a shortwave radio, teaching him how to use them. Then, on certain days, at certain times they had the leader assemble all that he could gather to listen to the Rosery recited by one of the priests. However, interspersed among the rosary were “suggestions”…such as “lavo sus manos (wash your hands)or bring a friend next week, etc. so, without actually leaving their very comfortable home, they could spread the Word of God and help the poor natives. Mind control…manipulation?
Another group in the country at the time were the ever-present “Mormones” with their white shirts, bicycles. They went into remote villages with generators to show movies at night. Of course, in the early 60’s this was a miracle to see and people would walk miles in bare feet to witness something so wondrous. Of course, each attendee was counted as a “convert.” They would also sponsor small building projects and pay the natives to work as laborers. One caveat…you had to be a “Mormone” to work. If you made less than $10 a year (!), of course you said “si, como no” that you were a Mormone. Church quotas met.
I went to Guatemala as a young, idealistic Peace Corps Volunteer at the very beginning, and it was quite a life-lesson to deal with the realities of a kind of Deep State mentality, even all those decades ago. Later I worked in Venezuela’s barrios and witnessed more of the same, including Protestant missionaries. I have never respected religious “outreach” since then (perhaps Quakers being an exception).
If you notice, most “missionaries” make their overseas life a career and are reluctant to return…that’s because they get very accustomed to servants and the lifestyle they can create for themselves for very little effort.
Yes, I know there are exceptions but I can tell you from personal experience there is a lot of manipulation and “ experiments” of the very people supposedly being served. Those Priests didn’t think up the shortwave radio thing themselves, but they were so smug about it.
And, mind you, this was long before all the current tools were even available.

Over a period of a year, I have debated with a friend who has TDS. Patiently, I have defeated him on every single topic. Whether it was, “Trump is a Russian traitor” (our debates started a while ago…), the wall, “good people” hoax, Gab em by the p***, Meryl Streep and disabled people hoax, tax cuts, etc…. I have shown him the fallacies of his statements and opened his eyes to how he is just a parrot for the Dems talking points.
Every single point of his has been shown to be without merit. In fact, I’ve embarrassed him repeatedly by reminding him of statements a year ago that “The dossier is already proven!” and “There is no way that the Trump team was bugged. He’s a liar!” …oops….
When I ask him now why he doesn’t like President Trump, he doesn’t even offer a try. He just shrugs his shoulders and says, “I just don’t like him.”

I think so many were brainwashed by the media that Hillary was going to win and when she didn’t they took it personally.

Nikole Hannah-Jones in the NYTimes claims falsely that the American Revolution occurred (sic) to protect the institution of slavery. Only in their DREAMS could the leftists have a world where a new nation could somehow be magically founded to allow rich people to keep the majority of people in slavery. PROJECTION MUCH?! NYTimes wants to be overseers of a permanent underclass of American citizens, and the 1619 project is their Hollywood fantasy moment.
This looks like an attempt at a complete reframing of history, one to be imposed in textbooks for our children.
It’s their justification of why our kids should be ashamed to be white and American.

In fact yo are 100% correct, that is exactly what it is, and we already know it because the NYTimes editor’s comments about it in private meetings leaked out. “Reframe” is the left’s word for turning the truth into a lie, courtesy of George Lakoff “Don’t think of an Elephant”. They stated explicitly that their long term target was not a series of articles but getting this into the schools. Reading up the thread about interacting with neverTrumpers brought to mind the conversation I had with the black man at the grocery store.
I asked him if he wanted this country to be ruled by the UN or Global Government. He was horrified. “Oh, no!” He said, truly shocked,

I asked him why he thought that and he said Charlottesville and the President saying that the “White supremacists were good people”. We talked about how no one thought that white supremacists were good people but that some people were there who just wanted to preserve our history. This, he thought, was bad but it opened up a discussion of history.
Our nation’s history brought upreligion and how he thought Christianity was forced on the slaves. I was able to tell him that true Christianity cannot be forced on anyone, that it must be a free choice of the heart or it is not real. (Jesus stands at the door and knocks…He does not force His way in). I told him it a religion based on love and race can never be taken into account because God looks at the heart…and we are to love one another as He has loved us.
We talked about slavery being wrong but that the country had recognized that and many people had risked their lives to end it.
When discussing this I said that slave owners were just like the corrupt politicians and global company heads we have today who lie to the people, steal from the top of all public monies to feather their own nests, hold themselves above the law, and keep the people down.
He thought Trump supporters were racist. I said that I was hurt that he thought that I was racist. He said, “No, not you!” Then I told him that Trump supporters were just like me, the salt of the earth—the most loving and kind people who care about the country and have fought and sent their kids to fight for it and who want to protect and care for Americans of every color.
We parted as loving friends and it remains a precious and beautiful memory for me and I hope for him, too.
This conversation prompted me to look up Christianity’s role in slavery and in ending it and also how slavery started in this country. I realized that I needed more facts.
It is hard for all of us to hold up a standard of truth when people say they are one thing and act like another.

It just showed up without fanfare today, and I just spotted it right now, so I haven’t read it, but wanted to get the word out there in case it contains something important.

Ok, I’ve skimmed it now, and read what seemed to be the important parts.
Pretty much it’s a short routine summary report with nothing steamy. Nothing about our good friends Comey, Lynch, Weissman, Ohr, Müller, Rosenstein, McCabe, Strzok, and all the rest of our favs.
The report covers the 441 allegations of civil rights abuses perpetrated by DOJ employees that came over the OIG’s transom in the 1st half of 2019. Except most of them turned out not to be complaints about the actions of DOJ officials, but about any random government employee at the federal, state, or local level, or even about private parties. And some were complaints from prisoners in the federal penitentiary system about the food, or so forth. The category most interesting to me was that of complaints “by others that the FBI did not initiate an investigation into particular allegations.”
So they boil it down to 14 cases within their jurisdiction. The ones that turned out potentially to involve Section 1001 abuses were 6 that were deferred to the Bureau of Prisons or the United States Marshall Service for further investigation.
These were summarized in a small dull spreadsheet that won’t appear correctly formatted here unless I capture it as a picture and upload it somewhere. So I’ll just let you follow the link above, or otherwise leave it to your imagination.
So there was no real benefits to reading this report, except that now I have a better idea of what a real OIG report looks like, so I’ll be better equipped mentally to interpret one when a “hot” one, worthy of August appears. Also, I got an idea of how boring it must be to work in the bowels of the bureaucracy boiling 441 complaints down to 6 meaningful ones every 6 months. I’m sure as it is repeated millions of times throughout the executive branch, this level of drudgery and irrelevance can, in the case of an employee with the wrong mentality, contribute to a boredom and mental flabbiness that makes it easier to be tempted by and succumb to corruption.
Perhaps this report is informing us of yet another set of spying activites undertaken by the Hussein Administration:
The OIG found that the DEA (and DOJ with respect to one program) failed to conduct a comprehensive legal analysis of the use of the DEA’s administrative subpoena authority to collect or exploit bulk data. The OIG also found that the procedural safeguards and audits for two of the programs were not sufficiently robust to ensure compliance with the requirements under Section 876(a) that the information being demanded by subpoena is relevant or material to an investigation and that the particular investigation is, in fact, a drug investigation. With respect to the third program, the DEA collected the bulk data without first developing a plan for the disposition or retention of the data, creating a risk that purchaser information unconnected to illicit activity will be retained in government electronic systems for a long duration.

I agree with you that there is not going to be a utopian time where everyone can relax because all have seen the truth. Every day I see how much deeper the corruption goes than I realized, and that won’t be wiped out by revealing what really happened in spygate or even if lots of famous people are convicted of human trafficking and the like. It is a never-ending war.
There are too many people out there who believe it’s perfectly acceptable behavior to try to get the government to do them favors. They were taught this in school, their parents did it…it’s “normal” to them, but “corrupt” to us. And corruption simply attracts the most corrupt, and corrupting people; they thrive in that environment.

But the BEST part was the mistakes. Just side-splittingly wrong. Even more of a hoot – it would identify things like GARGOYLES, insect heads, and MANHOLE COVERS as particular people! OMG – such a scream! Those kind of “rough similarities” – she looks like a fox – he looks like a frog – the software makes those, too.

The same goes for orders of protection. Someone with a grudge against you can obtain a protection order and you are considered guilty unless and until you can prove yourself innocent.
The problem with these protection orders is if someone gets even a temporary order against you and you accidentally violate one of the terms of the restraining order or the person who got it on you simply claims you did, you’re charged with a crime and have to go back to court and hopefully prove yourself innocent.
Many people have been wrongly convicted by these laws.
