This Labor Day Stormwatch Monday Open Thread is VERY OPEN – a place for everybody to post whatever they feel they would like to tell the White Hats, and the rest of the MAGA-KMAG-KAG! world.
Yes, it’s Monday…again.
But it’s okay! It’s a Holiday!
You can go back to bed:
Or have a nap:
Free Speech is practiced here at the Q Tree. But please keep it civil.
Discussion of Q is not only allowed but encouraged. Imagine that! We can talk about Q here and not get banned.
Please also consider the Important Guidelines, outlined here in the January 1st open thread. Let’s not give the odious Internet Censors a reason to shut down this precious haven that Wolf has created for us.
Our greatest gift to President Trump is FIVE WORDS:

Great choices of Labor Day honorees, Wheatie! #BuildThatWall #DrillBabyDrill 🇺🇸🇺🇸🤓
Thanks, Alison.
😌😊
I fretted over that for quite a while…because I could’ve filled up the page with all the hard working people who deserve a shout out too.
👮♂️👨🌾👩🍳👨🏫👨🔧👩🔬👨✈️👨⚕️👷♂️
But I decided to narrow it down to the ones whose labors are quickly doing so much for our national security.
😊. I started thinking of a bunch more just like you did, Wheatie. We have much to be grateful for and many to thank for building and maintaining our communities and country. Your tribute definitely embraced them all. 💞
Yes , . great Labor day tribute clips Wheatie,

I’m already sharing a couple . Moar Wall ! Git-r-done!
Swallowell is a sleazebag and a total nobody. Pay no attention to this clown.
I told a follow choir member yesterday morning that with more open carry, there would be a lot less of this. Purple peace lover that she is, she had to agree.
Swalwell epitomizes the slimiest of maroon politicians.
From what little I read, shooting area is a bit expansive…multiple cities.
Nothing says someone open or conceal carry was in immediate area AND able to respond with deadly force.
AND, if they were able to respond, they take it on themselves to be legally responsible. A BIG deal in itself.
AND, IF LE was on scene “good guy” engaging “bad guy” may complicate resolving the shooter.
Awesome job I really love the wolf on the bench.
Thanks, Rodney!

Night n God bless Wheatie and God bless everyone in the QTree, tomorrow is the start of a very big week.

The Trump administration is considering using far left tech giants to rate Americans for gun ownership.
Because the far left tech giants can be trusted.
These are the same corrupt and inherently dishonest outlets that censor and eliminate conservative voices and publications on a daily basis.
They even built in censorship of conservatives in their algorithms.

Eh…I’m doing a wait-and-see on this.
Key word there is “considering”.

And what this does, is put attention on how much power these Tech Tyrants have over us…and how creepy & scary it is.
Yeah shining a spotlight. That’s the way you get these night critters in your crosshairs
Sometimes it just makes a lot more sense to say you are considering something than to say you are not considering something.
It’s called bait.

Uh, this seems like 101 for President Trump and his administration…they muse along the lines of…we are looking at, lots of people working hard, great ideas and concepts being considered…

100% doubt President Trump will trust Google socialists, TW, FB…to manage much of anythingin the pursuit of, goodness.

Okay, here’s the story with more meat. Still the same problem who’s going to administer this and how do you stop the Dems from weaponizing it in the future? https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2019/08/22/white-house-considers-new-project-seeking-links-between-mental-health-violent-behavior/
I have a cheaper and quicker solution to the problem. All democrats hand in their weapons. Democrats clearly suffer from a mental disorder.
Yep, but it’s the Washed Poo, Bozos from Bezos…
Best to wait a bit until the truth comes out…
I think VSGPDJT may have let another canary loose…

As I said yesterday in another thread, thousands of guys are crying in their beers that Candace is no longer available for possible dating.

Wasn’t his Dad a criminal?
Bootlegger during the Depression. Otherwise, old Joe Kennedy did business with anyone who could keep him alive. His wife, OTOH, was a keeper. And, like a lot of people we know, she was too Catholic to divorce the SOB.
IMO, bootlegging booze during Prohibition should not be considered a crime.
Me neither, given the agendas involved.
What about all the crime(s) that stemmed from it? Murder, blackmail, coercion, money laundering, etc, etc, etc.?
Residual crimes, yes, but Prohibition itself was a different kettle of fish.

Such a great post by VDH about the state of universities, well worth reading. He puts things so coherently and cogently. (IMO universities with their enormous endowments should be taxed as profit making businesses):
https://amgreatness.com/2019/09/01/from-icon-to-just-a-con/
I was just reading that and saw you had posted the link. Brilliant insights as always.
Reading it coined in my mind this phrase: “The Woke-Industrial Complex”. That’s my term, not VDH’s, for the unholy relationship between Academia, Non-Profits, Media, and Government to agitate for radical leftist causes.
[“Radical” in my usage meaning the leftist programme of destruction, anti-institutional, anti-American causes – anything that destroys what VDH identified as “traditional elements of American society and culture—the family, church, community, and government”]
You are right that Universities are at the point of being profit-making enterprises that should be taxed.
It’s not just that they should be taxed. The weak point of leftist academia is MONEY. Their supply of cash (not used for education or scholarship but for indoctrination and faculty busy-work) must be completely cut off.
Government funding must be curbed. Trump putting long-overdue strings on the money is one step in the right direction. Why should the government fund a University that actively undermines First Amendment protections of student’s free speech?
Government funding eliminates accountability.
In the early 1800s Universities were funded by denominational churches. The primary goal of the University was to train ministers and develop character.
In the late 1800s, Carnegie and others took control of the Universities by funding them with grants that stipulated they could only be granted to “non-sectarian” (not religiously affiliated) institutions. Many Universities dropped their religious affiliation overnight. The primary purpose of the university under the German seminar model became to create well trained worker bees that big business could put to work.
The G.I. Bill was a great boon to the United States but it perpetuated the myth of creating worker bees and added the concept of social and economic mobility into the mix. No doubt economic mobility is a valuable benefit of an education, but it is still a perversion of original intents.
The other result of the G.I. Bill era was the notion of a partnership between academia and government. Grants from the government flourished during this time. Universities slowly became uncoupled from accountability – which previously had been to denominational institutions or to business interests.
Of course, large endowments played into this, in the instances where the endowments were managed by the institution or by sympathetic parties who held the same leftist goals.
Another source of funding is also key: Student Loans. Individual students are powerless to hold Universities accountable once they’ve taken the bait and are hooked into the system. The loan bank scam deserves its own story, but will the banks ever hold Universities accountable? Oh hell no – they don’t care that they are swimming in bad debt. Their business model assumes and expects a massive government loan bailout!
MONEY is the WEAK SPOT of the entire vile system. Choke the money and we will choke off the beast.
It can be done. I think the logical starting point is the state level, individual states need to cut funds and demand much more stringent accountability of the institutions they fund.
Umm, Michael, if you are talking about the Harvard, Yale, William & Mary, Washington University in St. Louis, Northwestern, University of Chicago etc., sorts of universities that were, yes, seminaries at one time, yeah, they all dropped religious affiliations.
There was then, and still is, a list of religiously affiliated universities from all kinds of different avenues of faith. I can name quite a number of Jesuit schools, one Augustinian, and one Methodist that are BIG names yet.
And then there are the state universities. The land grand sorts certainly never were religious (list here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_land-grant_universities) and that includes some really tough schools to get in: Auburn, Arizona, U-Conn, Cal-Berkeley, University of Illinois, MIT, Mizzou as well as S&T in Rolla, Purdue, Rutgers, NC State, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Clemson, Texas A&M, and more.
The universities have been, for a while now, money sink holes, but the romantic picture that VDH paints is not completely true. My grandfather went to one of the above mentioned land grant schools which was, at the time, a commuter school. So did my mother, although her college was an all-women’s liberal arts school. They both lived at home while working their way through. My dad, OTOH, lived in a dorm, also at a land grant university. And the two local universities with the big names both had dorms from the beginning. (Saint Louis University in 1818 and Elliot Seminary or Wash U. in 1853)
Money is a problem in the university system to an extent, but the real problem, IMO, is tenure. Once a professor has tenure, and only comes up for review every so many years), there’s not much a university can do to get the person off the campus. That’s where the lefties really take advantage.
We make a lot out of federal student loans and grants, but the REAL big money is in alumni contributions. For example, at Princeton, tuition is technically free. The alumni are expected to support the students with tuition contributions post graduation. My alma mater sends out multiple shake the trees letters annually. And then there are major gifts (five figures and up). For XXXXXXX dollars, your name can be on a building. I’m not kidding. And with grants, you have to deliver. The grant money dries up, you’re gone if you aren’t tenured.
So, while universities are expected to exceed fundraising totals from the year before, thus making them profitable, going the government route to solve the issue is a little too simplistic. The boards of directors and trustees might be the better avenue. And, really, in Missouri, anyway, the state government tried to cut funds by looking at the budget without knowing what they were seeing and cut one of the most valuable departments without talking to the Board of Curators first. That didn’t go over well.
As a companion to VDH’s recollections, I HIGHLY recommend a commentary from a university professor that was first published in the 1980s.
In “The Closing of the American Mind” Dr. Bloom decries the loss of classical education – in 1987. From one of the reviews:
“Okay in all honesty I expected this book to be a shallow polemic along the lines of some of the “popular” authors today, pushing an agenda and setting up straw man arguments, to provide an illusion of balance. Bloom, never backs down or even bother to set up “illusory” counter theses to further his, he just piles on the examples, historical as well as contemporary to nail his indictment of the vapidness of modern “Higher Education.”
His thesis that the university today, reflects the general detachment of American society from the Puritan moral values that were paramount throughout American history, is conclusion that I would not have put together.
Is this book dated? When I started reading it I would ha e said yes, but as I digest the matter I have just completed, I see in myself the same sins of “culture” and value relativism that he sees as the symptom of the deconstruction of a Liberal education. As a engineering graduate, I hear in my own thoughts of a “superior” education that had very little of the messy humanities as part of my experience. I see that attitude as a shortcoming after reading Bloom, and one that sadly will be difficult to correct. Not that I am going to give up my technical high-paying career to become a philosopher, but I will now be forced to read and reread the very authors that Bloom uses to bolster his argument that it is those questions about values and the role of Man in relation to everything else that is important.”
DP comment: while I am not a Puritan by any means (too Catholic for that), the loss of any sort of shame and consequence of mistakes is a real problem in the US. I remember being struck by that when reading this book.
I have to read that book! TY!
“… the loss of any sort of shame and consequence of mistakes is a real problem in the US. “
And that was DELIBERATE.
No spanking ==> No Yelling at a child and you can thank the Rockefellers!
The Hand that Rocked the Cradle: A Critical Analysis of Rockefeller Philanthropic Funding, 1920-1960
Micheal Brown’s death and Ferguson riots were the RESULT of no consequences for bad actions.
PAIN is natures way of teaching you that you screwed up. If we continually protect children from pain of any kind they DO NOT LEARN.
Actually, a lot of us don’t believe in spanking, or beating. It’s counterproductive, and in parts of my family resulted in children walking away from their parents and not looking back once they could.
Yelling at children should be reserved for shock value when the child is in danger or is in need of correction that needs to make an impact. You get better results by being with the child and paying attention to them, showing them how to do chores in tandem, and saving yelling and harsh tones for the worst of the situations, like when they are in danger, or they put others in danger. And snapping orders one after another just results in frustration for a child who is trying to please his or her parents. That brings on tears, which brings on yelling from the parents, and a battle of wills that could have been avoided with a simple set of expectations, and consequences like taking away the ipad until the chore is done. That’s my experience with them, anyway.
Michael Brown’s death was a consequence of the breakdown of the black family. Ferguson was right place, right time, given some local history that is not well understood outside of North County (I live about six miles away) and central planning…and really all that was destroyed was a two block area. The people who did the worst of the damage were from out of town and a lot of them paid to do the agitating. I knew it was spearheaded by people who were not from STL when a list of “symbols of white” something or other came out and the Zoo, Art Museum, and Missouri Botanical Garden were on it. All three are part of the five cultural institutions that are on a special zoo museum district tax that the city and county pay. They are owned by the people. The pricing is either free or affordable enough that EVERYONE takes advantage. No way would anyone from here advocate targeting those places.
Yes, pain is nature’s way of telling you that you screwed up. But, at the same time, teaching children the way to live has been surrendered by parents more interested in having kids as an accessory. That’s part of the problem.

abraham counting stars when you see none trust Counting Stars in an Empty Skyq
Imagine looking up at the evening sky in the desert, somewhere in the Middle East, thousands of years ago. Think of all the brilliant stars you would have seen without the ambient lights of modern civilization. That’s the type of night sky Abraham would have seen when God told him, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them . . . So shall your offspring be” (Genesis 15:5).
Read Genesis 12:1-9. God made Abraham some amazing promises: “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you” (Genesis 12:2-3). But despite these great promises, the difficult reality for Abraham was that he was old, and his wife Sarah, barren. How could he possibly count the stars when all the odds were against him?
https://www.ltw.org/-/media/Images/LTW/Read/My%20Devotional/2019/09/edev_090219_2000x833%20jpg.
In those days, Abraham did not have a Bible. He did not have a small group or discipleship program. He did not have a church. He did not have a preacher. All he had was the word of the Almighty God, calling him as He calls each of us: “Come and follow Me. Leave your life of sin. Now trust My word and believe My promises.”
God wants us to take Him at His word, even when our circumstances tell us otherwise. You may have been burned by the broken promises of a loved one, but God never goes back on His word. You can trust Him when He says, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it” (Luke 11:28); “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5); “My grace is sufficient for you” (2 Corinthians 12:9); “I am working for your good” (see Romans 8:28).
We, like Abraham, are waiting for God to fulfill all His promises. They are already ours, but like our spiritual father whom God called to the promised land those many years ago, we must contend in faith. We must continue to count stars, even when we see none. After all, God has given us His word, and that is enough.
Prayer: Father, thank You for Your incredible promises found in Your Word. May my heart delight in them and my mind recall them in every situation. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
“Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them . . . So shall your offspring be” (Genesis 15:5).

A dive boat aka fishing tour boat caught fire this am near Ventura…though the boat is out of Santa Barbara. Some reports saying all the passengers dead but the crew is alive….34 people. Information coming in. Thats a massive fatality on a boat here.
“LOS ANGELES — More than 30 people were aboard a boat that caught fire early Monday morning near Santa Cruz Island off the coast of Southern California, authorities said, with multiple casualties being reported.
The boat fire was reported shortly before 3:30 a.m., according to the Ventura County Fire Department. More than 30 people were aboard the 75-foot-long dive boat, according to the Coast Guard’s Los Angeles base, which is supporting rescue efforts.
“The Coast Guard has launched multiple rescue assets along with assets from local agencies to assist more than 30 people in distress,” the Coast Guard said on Twitter.
Subscribe
“The vessel was reported as being on fire. A group of crew members has been rescued and efforts continue to evacuate the remaining passengers.”
One crew member suffered minor injuries, the Coast Guard said.
Authorities have confirmed there were fatalities, although the exact number is unknown.
The Ventura County Fire Department said 34 people died, according to KTLA, but the U.S. Coast Guard has not confirmed any deaths.
Santa Cruz Island is the largest of the eight islands in the Channel Islands. It is located within Santa Barbara County.”
https://patch.com/california/los-angeles/boat-catches-fire-near-santa-cruz-island-deaths-reported
This is the boat.
I guess it was a holiday weekend scuba trip. Maybe the o2 tanks caught fire? Hoiw did no one but crew escape?
Read that sleep on top whereas passengers stay were in staterooms below. Difficult to believe none could manage to escape.
And theyre 20 yards from shore with divers as passengers .
More puzzle pieces….
Later stories say that it was a 3-day sleepaboard trip — left harbor Friday night/Saturday morning, and was going back to harbor Monday night. Around 2 am, one staffmember called-in a Mayday, then jumped off the boat (as had four previous staffmembers). They swam to a nearby boat and woke the owner by pounding on the hull. Then they went back to look for survivors. There were reports of “explosions” every few minutes.
I had been thinking that an engine fire was the most likely scenario, thinking that they had motored over that evening and just set anchor. An engine fire would have been just on the other side of the access stairs to the sleeping cabin, and could have blocked egress. This later information opens up a plethora of ghastly possibilities for the initial fire — including a grease fire in the ship’s galley (which would be directly above the sleeping divers).
The standard recreational dive tank is an “Aluminum 80” because of their nominal capacity of 80 cubic feet of air at their service pressure of 3000 psi. 80 cubic feet is the amount of air in a box 8′ tall x 2′ x 5′ — or about the size of a large phone booth. You are never supposed to go dry on them, but return to the boat at 500 psi. Aluminum alloys melt in stages, depending on the metals used to alloy with them. 6061 aluminum, a common alloy, melts between 1080 and 1205 degrees F. That’s the temperature it becomes a puddle. [There are various tank manufacturers — these guys https://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-200/043208/XS-Scuba-80-Cubic-Foot-Aluminum-Tank.html actually specify that they use 6061 aluminum.]
However, aluminum alloys start to “soften” at temperatures as low as 400 degrees F. Anyone familiar with Ray Bradbury knows that paper burns at 451 degrees F, so this is not very high.
To go off on a little bit of math (the math adverse are advised to simply move to the next paragraph)…..80 cubic feet is 80 x 12 x 12 x 12 = 138,240 cubic inches. Normal air pressure is 14.504 psi, and a 3000 psi tank fill would be 3014.504 psi (because it starts from regular air pressure). This would mean the interior dimensions of the tank would be (138,240 / 3014.504) x 14.504 = about 665 cubic inches. The outside dimensions of a tank are about 7″ in diameter and 26″ long, so there’s about 1000 cubic inches of tank to put that in — which sounds about right. If you made the walls of the tank 1″ thick, that would make the inner cylinder 2.5 x 2.5 x pi x 24 = 471 cubic inches; if you made the walls of the tank 3/4″ thick, that would make the inner cylinder 2.75 x 2.75 x pi x 24.5 = 582….so the walls of the tank are a little less than 3/4″ thick (and, eyeballing it, probably close to 1/2″). Further, if expressed in degrees from absolute zero, pressure varies in direct proportion to temperature. Absolute zero is about -460 degrees F, so……heating a cylinder at 3000 psi from 70 degrees F to 400 degrees F would raise the pressure to (400 + 460) / (70 + 460) x 3000 = 4870 psi.
In short, as heat builds (even in a galley fire) next to SCUBA tanks (filled only with air), you rapidly get to a situation where the pressures inside the tanks far exceed their safe pressures and the aluminum in the tanks starts to soften. When that fails, it would sound like an explosion (and would likely result in the ejection of hot aluminum fragments at high speed).
The hull is on the bottom, and they’ve found eight bodies so far — four floating and four on the bottom.
This is an ugly story and getting worse.
Incidentally, using the same pressure/temperature formulas from my previous opus…..
The air in a standard Aluminum 80 SCUBA tank will heat substantially merely from being compressed. Starting at 70 degrees (about 530 degrees F above absolute zero), this would end up at ((3014.504 / 14.504) x 530) – 460 = roughly 110,000 degrees.
(This is, btw, why any air compressor units you have seen likely have fins for cooling.)
Of course, it is ludicrous to think that it would gain all that heat in one shot. At each rise in pressure, there is simultaneously some part of that heat gain and a substantial heat leakage to the compressor, to the piping, and to the tank. SCUBA tanks are typically filled while partially submerged in water to help dissipate the heat gain, and SCUBA compressors are not your normal 150 psi DeWalts. The fire could have even started at the air compressor, as the crew attempted to ready tanks for the next morning’s dive.
3000 psi has some freaky-deaky side effects.
The flip side of this exact same effect is that you cannot safely vent a SCUBA tank without a regulator — if you just crack it to release the pressure, it’s likely to freeze open so that you cannot close it.
The way those trips can work is that everyone gets on the boat, gets checked in, and bunks up downstairs at about 8pm. Around midnight, the boat motors out of harbor, across to the island, and anchors. At 8am, everyone gets up, gets suited-up and ready, and dives. You motor around to a different spot, and dive again around noon. Then the boat heads back to harbor.
In this case, it appears that things went normally up to the boat being anchored. After that, however, fire broke out — possibly an engine fire — and apparently cut off access to the downstairs. The crew survived, because they were upstairs. It’s possible that some passengers managed to escape and dove overboard — they were only a couple of dozen yards from the island and, presumably, scuba divers can swim.
I may have been on that boat, myself — although we elected the “get up at some ungodly hour of the morning and get to the dock by 6am” version.
I was hoping for your input. Says now 4 drowned bodies at Ventura beach found. They wouldve had 1 more dive today then home.
Any sort of fire prevention on these boats?
Coast Guard standard fire prevention and safety — and regularly inspected, as well. The boat operator claims they had life jackets and rafts for 100+ people. There was probably a fire extinguisher near the stairway below decks and above decks.
Typical boat design has people areas forward below decks, then the stair to the upper deck with doors on either side going to the engines. If one of the engines caught fire while everyone was asleep, things could get very bad very fast.
Boat l ayout.
Hard to escape when the entire boat catches fire quickly.
….and standard SCUBA tanks are filled with air, not oxygen, and would be kept up on deck.
I see. I thought they had to mix it. Only for certain circumstances then?
Mixing breathing gases is expensive and fraught with peril. Technical divers may do that for special circumstances (dives deeper than 150 feet, for instance). Recreational divers just stick with air.
And air is free!

Democratic Party Passes Resolution Against Christianity
The Democratic National Committee has taken its stand, and it’s against orthodox Christianity. It passed a resolution last Saturday calling for the Party to be more inclusive toward non-believers. On its own that’s not remarkable. But the document also strongly denounces Christian belief and action.

voracious reader here… can’t go into a library w/o risking being lost for days! internet has only fed my obsession… grandson has been known to ‘drag’ me away ! (we all have our vices, right?)
I have more books than I know what to do with. I don’t want to get rid of them, they aren’t the kinds of books you can just go check out at a library.
I hear you !
ME TOO! 🕵️
Me three… 🙂
I also have TONs of music (sheet music, scores, lead sheets, books). Used to spend way too much time at Byron Hoyt’s, Carl Fischer’s, Shar, and music stores here in Germany…sigh…
Boy, does this sound familiar….
THIS POPE IS A PROPAGANDIST-MARXIST!!!!
Cultural Marxism is continuing its jack-booted march against the churches, crushing all who oppose them.
That’s the real story IMO. The Cultural Marxists are the enemies of Christianity because they know that Christian institutions are the best hope to oppose them. Corrupting the churches is the name of the game.
They don’t really care if the sign out front says Catholic, Baptist, Presbyterian, or Methodist. For them this is WAR.
Heck, if they can get the churches fighting each other rather than the radical left, all the better. They’ll be happy to hold our coats while we duke it out between ourselves.
But their real goal is subversion. Take control by every sneaky trick they can.
The story of the corruption of the Catholic hierarchy is slowly getting out there.
The war on the Southern Baptists is still very poorly understood, with many totally unaware. Right now the left is winning this one.
The PCA is in much greater danger than many even realize.
Methodists have been bleeding for so long – but they’ve finally had a few recent victories against Neo-Marxist hoard.
The enemy of the churches is the Anti-Christ movement of Gramsci Marxism coming on many fronts, under many names and banners. The NeoMarxism is the spirit of Anti-Christ to corrupt the churches, and if possible even lead the elect astray.
A particular front may not be “my church” but the reality is that it is all the same front of spiritual warfare.
To these Marxists, “everything is politics”. Every aspect of church politics is a Marxist opportunity to wedge themselves in. To achieve the Fabian goal to “mold it closer to the heart’s desire”.
Most of the churches are completely blind or powerless to what is coming against them.
Francis was installed. Plain and simple. I don’t believe the conclave was honest at all.
Has Pope even read the Bible??? Pretty clear Who’s in charge and how it all ends. False prophet in plain sight, lucifer’s not very smart, is he? devil is a liar and no truth in him.
Definitely re-enforces “My People are destroyed by a lack of knowledge” and “In all your getting, get understanding”.
Praise God for choosing us before the foundation of the world and giving us eyes to see!!!
ARGH! I quit reading. He starts with the distorted photograph of the audience hall that people keep trying to insinuate looks like a serpent. In truth, in person, it looks nothing like that. I’ve been there.
Francis was installed illegally. We get it. There was not other way for the cabal to get someone in that seat to tear at the Church from the top.
Something going on in South Africa? Why looting?
https://twitter.com/KTHopkins/status/1168494689823199232?s=20
South Africa has been a Marxist disaster zone since Mandela took office. Massive out-migration. Lots of radical elements seeking to gain power, demanding reparations from the remaining wealthy whites, demanding the seizure of farmland to restore it to purported rightful owners (typical Marxist lies – confiscate the farms and means of production). Johannesburg has had high spikes in crime and murder rates have been through the roof for years. Cities are failing to meet even basic services of sanitation and water treatment. Think like Detroit, Flint, Chicago imposed on an entire nation, except this doesn’t even really capture it. Marxist agitators are being actively supported by China to destabilize the county, and of course China is licking it’s chops to get its hooks in there. Despite everything there’s still a lot of wealth to plunder that China would be happy to get its hands in – Venezuela style. Though Zimbabwe might be a closer template.
We’ve had a South African post ground reports from time to time. It breaks my heart hearing what has been happening there.
Øbastard is also fueling the flames of hate and violence – he is utterly despicable!!!
Biat fire updated. I hope they at least recover the bodies for the families.
“Updates:
8:25 a.m.
The dive boat that caught fire off Santa Cruz Island early Monday had 32 passengers and six crew members, U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Mark Barney told KTLA.
Five people managed to evacuate with help from good Samaritans aboard a pleasure craft named Great Escape, according to a news release from the Coast Guard.
Two of the survivors suffered leg injuries, Barney said.
Because the crew members were in the main cabin, they were able to disembark, Coast Guard Senior Chief Aaron Bemis told CNN.
“The 34 passengers were below decks,” Bemis said.
Crews are still looking for 33 people, Barney told KTLA.
“The vessel currently has a portion of the bow sticking out of the water,” the Coast Guard said in a statement released just before 8:30 a.m.
The Coast Guard’s L.A.-Long Beach station learned about the incident after overhearing a “gargled” mayday call, Barney said.
“We threw everything that we had available that can get on scene as soon as we could,” the officer said.
While the Ventura County Fire Department reported earlier that there have been multiple deaths, Barney said the Coast Guard still can’t confirm that.”

This article gives a..disturbing account of what happened. I’m not a boater but to me it sounds like they were trapped, locked in and that’s why they couldn’t get out.
Is it normal to have the sleeping areas locked?
No fire extinguishers on deck?

Ive read only 1 access. Also when coast guard asked captain on radio if they attemptec to gelp, are there fire extinguishers, etc, the response was garbled. I posted the bed layout. The crew must be being questioned repeatedly. Sharks will be there if they didnt hurry to get the bodies.

Arrogant of them, to say the least………..

The public has been over ruling Rotten Toms for well over a decade by now. I think people go there to see what they don’t like and then go see that.
Yep. You could say Rotten Tomatoes is living down to its name…
More than one decade. Try closer to four.
Yeah…the unfortunate thing is that well meaning people who have not been red pilled are being played. BIG TIME. There’s a Dominican priest who helps out at my parish on the weekends who is in that category. Good guy, hard worker, well meaning, but stuck in the legacy media echo chamber. His homily both on Saturday and yesterday, I wanted to stand up and shout, FATHER, you know not what is being kept from you.
It’s very frustrating.
“It takes some getti g used to.” Gruesome is vile. Read it.

I read earlier today that’s a parody account
not that Gavin isn’t capable of saying this
Ok. Hes saying it in action I suppose. Hes fond of saying “eat your heart out” which is a term Ive never liked. Hes bragging about being in East L.A. and pandering. Campuses are almost exclusively Hispanic now, and they ALREADY get everything free. Already did when I was in school over 20 yrs ago. I had Mexican girls who had kids in high school bragging about the money they got every month from being “disadvantaged”, meanwhile I had to sell things to pay tuition.
Since we’ve landed on censorship here’s a story I just ran across.
https://nypost.com/2019/09/01/in-praise-of-melania-trump-the-first-lady-treated-terribly-by-the-media/
Apparently someone has wrote a book comparing Big Mike and Melania and surprise surprise their not being nice to our FLOTUS.
Meanwhile following the Amazon link to the book, comes to find there are a few nice coffee table books and smaller bio types out there that look nice. That I did not know 🙂
This one in particular looks nice, available to preorder now and comes out in Dec. About damn time!
Melania Trump: Elegance in the White House Hardcover – December 3, 2019

5.0 out of 5 stars Melania Trump Books Exist! 🙂
September 2, 2019
Format: Hardcover
While i have no attention to buy a haters book it now has come to my attention that there are several what appear to be fairly decent books on one of the greatest first ladies this nation has ever come to experience. I was looking for nice expensive coffee table book that casts or wonderful First Lady in the warm and loving light she’s earned and I think I see at least two. Hopefully more will be published soon. Thank you for being such a snot Ms. Vigil.
Interesting, because, just now, when I clicked on the link, there were no reviews at all, including the star ratings!
Nods… that link goes to the good book that comes out in Dec.
Let me find the other link. You would of had to go through the link to the story to find it. Hold on.
Here it is > whoops more negative reviews from Melania supporters…
Thanks.
Yes, I see what you mean.
This is a good one-star review from a reader named Julian:
‘Very poor taste. Very condescending tone and extremely poorly executed assemblage of thoughts from an Author who clearly has Trump Derangement Syndrome. This book is an echo chamber on paper. Also, on a personal note to the author: que Disgraciada. Poor excuse for a Latin American.’

It would be nice if they showed all the photo’s and then explained how they were photo shopped. Just making the statement leaves one a bit dissatisfied I’d think. I mean the other photo’s were taken at different angles and one in particular sort of changed the narrative of the others. (One with Trade displayed on a bldg in the back ground, her sitting on a large folder, and her dog with the noose thing or has that one in particular been debunked?)
Meanwhile there has been this, not sure if I’ve seen it posted here or not:
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2019/09/millionaire-model-agency-boss-and-close-friend-of-jeffrey-epstein-who-is-thought-to-have-information-on-the-epstein-case-has-disappeared/
That story was on Drudge and latter moved to the bottom of the page as of this morning, signifying that it was going away? We’ll it did go away, it does not even appear in the Drudge Archives now. Poof.. gone.
Is it common to say crew are on board when they arent? I bet theres way more to this story as the info trickles out.
“The four people who were found off the Ventura County coast appeared to have drowned, U.S. Coast Guard Lt. Comdr. Matthew Kroll told the Associated Press. Twenty-nine or 30 people remained missing, but those numbers could change due to some conflicting information on the manifest, Coast Guard Petty Officer Mark Barney told KTLA.
A sixth crewmember on the manifest was actually not aboard the boat, the AP reported.”
Yep. Something just doesn’t add up. The crew shouldn’t have abandoned ship. Second, it was a diving trip, SCUBA divers, who normally are expert swimmers. Could be smoke inhalation, and then drowning. From the look of pictures, the boat was totally engulfed in a gigantic fire, which seems odd, unless there was a fuel leak, and possibly oxygen sources fueling it… though normally SCUBA uses somewhat of an air mix, or? Pure O² could accelerate things quite quickly, that’s for sure…
May GOD help the victims, the divers, the responders, and their families…
(Conspiracy spidey sense says, “was there someone ‘special’ in that group???”…).
I’m thinking the helo ops in downtown LA, sort of like what Øbozo did to Seal Team 6…
I thought the same about the “manifest irregularities.”
My best guess:
Propane leak (galley use).
Propane gas is heavier than air, and in the event of a leak (including from an unlit burner), could easily find its way belowdecks.
Any source of ignition from static electricity to open flame can ignite an accumulation of this gas.
The boat likely has Diesel engines and generators (not gasoline), and therefore, diesel fuel in her tanks.
Diesel fuel is relatively stable (in comparison to gasoline), and probably not the CAUSE of the fire, although it may have contributed the fire caused by the explosion of propane gas (while it is likely that diesel fuel would burn, it is unlikely that it would explode).
I agree with you Nor’easter. I was present when a driver brought in a diesel powered vehicle when one of his fuel tanks had a leak. The mechanic started welding the tank with fuel and vapors still in it. While I was quickly backing up looking for an exit the manager explained it wasn’t dangerous, unlike propane.
On boats with inboard gasoline engines, they are required to have a bilge blower with an ignition protected electric motor, which is to be run for a specified period of time prior to attempting to start the engine(s), as well as spark protection at combustion air intake, as the vapors from gasoline are also heavier than air, will accumulate in the bilge, and are highly flammable.
While not common, it is also not uncommon to hear about a boat explosion from the ignition an accumulation of gasoline vapors in the bilge.
And propane is even more dangerous.
My last boat had twin 5.0 liter I-O’s gas powered and I spent a lot of time in that bilge cleaning and inspecting for gas and oil leaks. Yea, religiously ran that bilge fan before firing the thing up.
Surprising how quick a fire will consume a boat right up to the waterline and it burns HOT!
Too many boat owners don’t take the time to conduct due diligence for inspection, maintenance, and repair.
Most of them are lucky nothing bad happens.
If it just BURNS you’re LUCKY!
EXPLOSION on the other hand…
Right…. BOOM on a boat is bad!
Got that right!!
We’ll one thing does stand out immediately in that this appears to be a rather singular case. Given the amount of boats on water in similar circumstance and the lack of something like this happening before or at least more often to the point one might remember a similar story, that alone should raise questions.
SCUBA normally uses ordinary compressed air.
Also a LARGE COMMERCIAL boat is probably going to be DIESEL because a diesel engine is going to last a heck of a lot longer ands cost less to run (That is why I have 2 diesel pick-ups with a bout a 1/2 million milles on them.)
WOW!

Just found this site, but I didn’t find it before getting banned for mentioning Q. Covefefe posted a comment dissing Q and Q followers. I posted a defense of Q as another source of information. The next day I noticed that any comment I made had a message of “Awaiting Moderation”. I watched the comment and it took about 24hrs before it got moderated effectively removing me from the conversation, on twitter it’s known as being Shadow Banned, people have already moved on to the next days stories and never see your post.
I asked the Admin why I was being moderated, they said it was because of my post mentioning Q. So I went to https://theconservativetreehouse.com/guidelines-for-comments/ and read thru them again thinking I missed something, I didn’t. So I tried to contact Admin again to complain about the fact that nowhere in the Guidelines for posting does it even mention Q so how can I be punished for a secret rule??
Then Sundance banned me completely without responding to my e mail. This is behavior I expect from commi/lib sites, but I was blindsided to have been banned for asking questions, obviously questions that Sundance doesn’t want to answer. Is Sundance afraid if Q? or consider him a competitor, I really don’t know but somethings wrong.
So, “Beware” of secret rules on TheLastRefuge aka ,https://theconservativetreehouse.com/ I don’t know how many other “Secret Rules” Sundance may have but if he has one he has others. I know him and Levin had words so maybe mentioning something about Mark Levin may get you banned. It’s really tough to know when the rules are Secret. That’s the way the Communists and Nazis did business, they used secret rules to get rid of people they did’t like.

They should all leave. Take your businesses and go. What is more important, your family now, or staying for the history? I posted that looting article now theres this. This is like the kidnappings of kids in mexico. It wont get better.
The Suidlanders have this statement pinned to their twitter from a year ago.
Seems like things are really heating up there but the media there and here have a lid on it.
A fast look down the suidlanders tweet page shows much more…
And thanks for bringing this to our attention gil 👍
one more, two minutes of your time, from mid july.
60 years ago, the absolute horror of “apartheid” was happening in South Africa . . . blacks were being widely discriminated against. We must condemn this action to all the world, and punish and isolate those racist whites.
Now, the blacks are murdering and kidnapping whites and passing laws to confiscate their land with little or no recompense. And we hear . . . crickets. Everything’s fine with the blacks well on their way to destroying their country.
Absolute, total hypocrisy on the part of the oh-so-sensitive left . . . and a troubling portent of what conservative Christians would be up against if the left ever gets fully in power again.
The rapes, the murders, far too many. And whats awful, is THESE people, THESE families ARE REAL REFUGEES and many are being DENIED status, I believe because they are working, middle class, also formerly wealthy, and mainly white. It shows the hypocrisy and racial prejudices of those leaders who scoff at their plight. Its no joke.
Interesting. They call it the world wide web yet when I do a search in Google, Duck Duck, Bing, Yahoo, Qwant, Startpage, or Ecosia I get nothing on this story below (Savemore Cash & Carry in Tembisa) . Even when I narrow the search to news. Well not true I got a riot that happened 10 years ago using Ecosia but that’s it. I get plenty of info on the food chain even there in Tembisa, google has plenty of pics of the wonderful inside of the store but no one has a thing about this looting event.
I gpt that from katie hopkins this am. I use duck duck go, and am finding my searches are limited. Cannot find A LOT of topics via twit pages. Twitter is hiding, limiting, more.
Maybe retweets to important twit pages might help. Just a thought since “We Are The News Now”.

Thanks for the good video. “These sociopathic weather controllers have no compassion . . . they are truly evil people.” A rough quote. And evidence of aerosol spraying above Dorian, but no attempt to break up the storm. The Plan (not the forecast) is for Dorian to ride up the coast of Florida destroying coastal properties. Folks, the chem-contaminated rain is killing insects, coating everything with aluminum, destroying rainfall patterns in the Western US, causing fires in California. The technology to do this is already in use. So it’s not much a jump to imagine Dorian being engineered.

The assumptions in the above paragraph, stated as cold fact, are stretching incredulity just a tad . . .
I think KAR is talking about geo-engineering and chemtrails – even though he/she does not come right out and say it – what he says is not theory – it is fact – imho
“These sociopathic weather controllers have no compassion . . . they are truly evil people.”
. . . no attempt to break up the storm. [as though that would work???]
The Plan is for Dorian to ride up the coast of Florida destroying coastal properties.
. . . the chem-contaminated rain is killing insects, coating everything with aluminum, destroying rainfall patterns in the Western US, causing fires in California.
Stretch, stretch, stretch.
No, not really – I saw an article that declared similar conditions – some are saying this storm was geo-engineered – a very real possibility – chemicals from the skies have killed insects and destroyed vegetation such as trees – so not a ‘stretch’ for me at all – something the Deep State would do to stop PT.
Chemtrails are just as much a fable as HAARP.
Pixie dust and unicorn flatulence.
That’s just as much bad science as “Gore-Bull” warming. Sorry. Cuttingedge.org has a lot of good articles, but a lot of dross, too, and they’ve been whinging about this stuff for years, without a shred of evidence, either physical, or anecdotal (equations, scientific principles, etc.).
Talk to someone who has suffered from Morgellons – and you might change your mind – sorry you feel this way – because right now trees are healthier – the grass is greener – and life has returned to the soil – guess you do not believe in Q either – because there were (3) Q Proofs about Chemtrails – and many people are breathing easier, too.
Yeah for KAR……………..

I wonder . . . does flirty wear a diaper to contain liquids and road apples?
Prolly not – but, she probably carries a very large pooper-scooper with her – and some trash bags, too – lol
“DEPENDS…”
“Can I get you something for that cough?”
“No, I’m just a little horse”…
(Dodges flying scoopers, roadapples, Depends, and lemon-soaked towlettes [HHGTTG ref])…
Actually the minis that are service animals are house broke.
I had a tiny pygmy goat, about as tall as my cats that was trained to a litterbox. She became very ill and we had her in the house for a year. She had antibiotic resistant septis. We were hoping she could fight it off but finally had her put down.
LOL!!!
I’d love to see Quigley at a pantifa demonstration!!!
I would love to see Tom Selleck at a rally.
God bless him for this!
Thank you so much for sharing this Phoenix!
So encouraging!
👍😍
You’re so welcome LM !
Ive always liked him. Always. I got worried when people were looking to him to be the face of the NRA and he shied away. Plus his mistreatment by rosie idinnell. He is at the stage in his life where he just needs to be the leader in Hollywierd and say yeah I DO like Trump. This is how I think. Deal with it.
They have to control everything…the CCP
Vatican deal gets off to promising start
It may have taken the Pope nearly a year to confirm a bishop under an agreement with Beijing, but it is still cause for celebration

Whatever Pope Francis comes to be remembered for, it will always include two landmark events in the Catholic Church’s fraught relationship with China’s communist rulers, who broke off diplomatic relations with the Vatican in 1951.
The first was a deal sealed with Beijing last September, after a decade of negotiations, for the appointment of bishops who would be recognised by both the Vatican and Beijing. The second is the pope’s approval for the consecration of the first Chinese bishop to be installed under the agreement.
