Overcoming Offendedness
The following article is part of a larger series by Rick Joyner intended to help people prepare for the battles right on our horizon. I highly recommend prayerfully going over the entire set of articles as time permits.

The Great Commission was to make disciples of all nations, not just individuals. The Lord said that when He returned He would divide the nations into “sheep” or “goats.” The sheep are good and the goats are bad. We have come to a time when nations are determining ultimate issues that will result in them being a sheep or goat nation.
In this series, I will continue to unpack the dramatic dream I had about the American Republic that deals with ultimate issues of our purpose from heaven’s perspective. Regardless of what country you are from, there will be a level of civil conflict coming in your nation too. Many will be similar to what is unfolding here.
Therefore, even though this is American-centric, in many ways it addresses the same basic issues all nations will be facing, as these are all connected to what The Lord said would come at the end of this age.
As covered previously, the first two Great Awakenings in America each preceded wars, the Revolutionary War and the Civil War. As we study the primary messages that came from those two Great Awakenings, we can see a direct link from the Awakenings to the wars.
So did these great spiritual awakenings cause the wars? In some basic ways they did. The light from these Awakenings exposed the darkness, and this required that it be confronted until it was driven from the land.
Could the darkness have been driven from the land by spiritual warfare so that the physical conflicts would not have been necessary? Perhaps. That certainly would have been desirable.
However, what I saw in my dream included physical conflict. I saw the nature of this, which I will share later in this study. Even so, it is my conviction that to the degree that evil strongholds in our land are destroyed spiritually, the degree of the physical conflict will lessen.
As we enter the Third Great Awakening in America, we can expect the same kind of light to expose the great darkness in our time. When powers of darkness are exposed, they rage. When they are cast out of their high positions they come to the earth with great wrath, as we see in Revelation 12.
God’s provision is to send us great champions of the truth to face specific evil strongholds in our time. They are being sent to completely destroy these strongholds, not just defeat them and push them back. What is happening in the Spirit will be reflected in the natural with rage and conflict.
It is always a tragedy when our differences degenerate into violence. It has been a great hope of Western Civilization to rise above war, to eradicate it completely from the earth. That is a noble hope, however, as we see up to the end of the Book of Revelation, there will be increasing war right to the end of the age.
As we see in Revelation 7, for a brief time the winds of war (winds of the earth) are held back so that The Lord’s bondservants can be sealed, but this is a short time and the winds are released again.
To be prepared for the times we must understand that violence has already begun, and it will get worse for a time. Again, this may be reduced by spiritual victories, but there is now a level of violence that we will not be able to avoid and we must be prepared for—spiritually and physically.
A major reason we can expect increasing violence is because of a contingent that not only does not want open debate, but cannot tolerate it. This is the fruit of an education system that no longer educates, but rather indoctrinates.
A generation has been conditioned so that if you disagree with them they will be offended, and being offended has been elevated to the level of being considered almost worse than a physical assault.
That many are so easily offended is a major cause that will make the physical violence unavoidable. As we are told in Proverbs 18:19, “A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city.”
One of the most important things we can do to prepare for the coming conflict is to refuse to be offended. This is basic Christianity and is called “forgiveness.” Jesus forgave the ones who had Him crucified and even those who nailed Him to the cross. Learning to be quick to forgive is basic discipleship and basic to following Christ.
To stay on the right side in what is unfolding, we must not engage in the rage and bitterness that is fueled by unforgiveness. We must learn not to react to personal offense, but take the actions that we do because they are the right thing to do.
To make it through what is coming upon the world will require all Christians to follow Christ more closely and be more like Him than we ever have. We must guard our hearts, especially from the evil stronghold of unforgiveness and offense.
The Lord will help us get ready by allowing opportunities to learn to forgive quickly and totally. Don’t waste these trials. Embrace them as the opportunities they are, especially when you are persecuted for doing what is right.
The Lord promised a special blessing for this. See these as an opportunity to get closer to The Lord by bearing your cross to identify with Him, and getting closer to Him will be the greatest blessing of all.

Is anyone else thinking about Haiti with the hurricaine conditions in the Bahamas? About kids disappearing with “rescue groups”? Fox news reported on people using their personal boats to rescue women and children first. While Im sure most are good intentions, I am suspicious.
Yes, I immediately had the same thought. All those children, many without any family left, and no one knows they’re even alive in all the chaos. I’m sure many will disappear without a trace. It’s horrifying.

T3 I’ve been thinking these same thoughts a lot lately myself.
The leftists, SJWs, snowflakes are quick to take offense, reflexively, with anything and everything. For them, outrage is normal, so much so that the phrase “outrage pr0n” has been common for a long time to describe their social interactions on Tumblr, instagram, etc.
I’ve lost friends over the last twenty years or so over completely idiotic stuff, that usually came down to them being unwilling to accept that I have legitimate reason for disagreement with their position.
For me, it is a matter for a mature healthy discussion, for shared learning, perspectives, growing, generating light rather than heat.
But in immaturity, every small matter is elevated to the status of HERESY! Their vitriol, denunciations, shame-casting, name-calling are shocking and unreal!
[The nerd in me wants to talk about the PS/2 MCA bus, devices designed to the 2nd level of FCC certification, where devices were required to not put out any EM interference, but must be capable of accepting any EM interference they receive… but I’m just shooting from the hip and memory right now.]
The reality is that we have to be unoffendable, and to be quick to forgive, and frankly to be the mature adult in the room when no one else will be.
Like when Kanye West is in the Oval Office with Trump. His language garners language warnings, but there’s no need for the President to be offended.
With the left we’re going to receive an unreal amount of verbal and psychological abuse. It’s a non-stop continuous assault, and avalanche of screaming and finger pointing and jeering that never ends. You can’t apologize to the online mobs b/c they don’t want apology – they want blood, and they won’t be satisfied until the Christians are thrown to the lions in bloodsport. If you give into the mob, they will only seek your destruction with all the greater ferocity.
They will do whatever it takes to provoke a reaction out of us. The second man gets the foul, isn’t that how it works? Send an obnoxious player onto the basketball court who is totally in the other players face, but knows how to irritate while the ref isn’t looking. When the other player finally loses it and responds, he ends up taking the foul.
Being unoffendable is one of the fruit of love. Loving others as Christ does is the key allow ourselves to let go of the right to be respected and treated appropriately, and instead of accept that sinful people will hate you. We don’t have to be cornered into an emotional reaction of offense, or forced to respond to them in kind. In Christ we have both an example and the power to love others and not be offended.
There’s more that can be said of course but I’ve already written enough…
* Be able to accept, take in the offense. If a ball is thrown, you catch it and pull it in and take all the momentum and energy from the ball into your body.
* Do not give offense unnecessarily.

I was thinking about this last night when the video came out capturing Kamala Harris agreeing (and giggling) with a questioner calling the President, “mentally retarded” – of course, now she is claiming she didn’t hear the question. We all know that’s really what they think about us, and during the era of Obama, they got the “GO” signal to say and do anything they wanted toward Us, We the People. They’re not going to stop.
The malignant media has been the conduit for propagandizing and pushing the hatred. The Democrat party attracts people who are mentally ill, misfits in society, and people who really hate themselves, but project it onto others.
Then there are the “True Believers” – like Harris, Warren, et al who know exactly what they’re doing and saying – it’s fulfilling their agenda to take power and control over the country, and the world. It’s about a ruling class over the worker bees.
The offense I feel is for my fellow good and decent patriots, that we have to suffer such abuse. Still, it helps knowing that our cause is right and just in the eyes of the Lord. He accepts our imperfect efforts, but at least we’re trying.

I’m not sure that I agree completely here. The left/Democrats attract people who are conformists, and who are into fads and trends, not matter how illogical. None of the ones I know hate themselves. In fact, just the opposite. A lot of them are very narcissistic. They are also far more materialistic than not. The spiritual journey is all about THEM and no one else.
This is what I see and hear. It may just be my circle, but the most liberal people I know are the ones who either HGTV to the max or take pride in not having central air conditioning and putting solar panels on the roofs of historic houses.
I was painting with an over broad brush, and they do attract the folks you mention – it seems like something is missing from their lives – which then lends itself to becoming narcissistic, with elements of virtue signalling.
When you say “conformists” – that fits: people who might feel out of control of their lives… often seek to find something they can be in control of. The Democrat Party lends itself to that type of personality.

My opinion: it was perfectly obvious that HARRIS was trying her best to spin the incident into a “look at my mental health proposals” reply to the issues. However, it is ALSO perfectly obvious in Harris’ facial expressions, words, and body language, that SHE KNEW she was caught — and had to LIE her way out of the situation.

“GLEN COVE, NY (Newsday) – A Locust Valley man, who drove drunk and at a high rate of speed before crashing into an ambulance Sunday night in Glen Cove, killing a patient inside, was held without bail Tuesday, prosecutors said.
Alvaro Gutierrez-Garcia, 27, was arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead and charged with first-degree vehicular manslaughter, aggravated DWI and two counts of driving while intoxicated.
District Court Judge Martin Massell remanded Gutierrez-Garcia and suspended his license, prosecutors said.
Gutierrez-Garcia was driving a 1997 Cadillac STS east on Forest Avenue when he struck the ambulance at 11:45 p.m., causing the vehicle to overturn, police said. The emergency vehicle was going south on Walnut Road with its lights and sirens on and had a male patient inside who was having difficulty breathing, police said.
The patient, Denis Motherway, 85, of Bayville, who had an unrelated medical condition, went into cardiac arrest due to the collision and was pronounced dead at Glen Cove Hospital, according to charging documents. The emergency driver of the ambulance was taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries, police said.

Following initial reporting on the government demand from Apple and Google of user data for the Obsidian 4 app, ATN stated on Friday that they were not aware of the government’s request for information from the tech giants until a Forbes article broke the story. ATN advised they would not be turning over user information to the DOJ unless required by law.
“ATN has not been contacted by the Department of Justice, Apple, or Google,” the company said in a statement to American Military News on Friday.
“ATN will protect its customers and their identifying data to the absolute extent possible under U.S. law. And, it will not provide any information regarding the identity of our customers to any third party unless specifically required by law,” the statement continued.
The turnover of data could affect up to 10,000 app users who have downloaded the app through the Apple Store and Google Play.

The Obsidian 4 app allows its users to pair their phone with their rifle scopes, helping users calibrate their scopes and allowing them to take video and live streams.
Initial reporting of the DOJ information request, indicated the court order was later sealed from public viewing.
Before the court documents were sealed, Forbes reported that part of the court order alleges the company’s scopes have been found in shipments to Hong Kong, Canada and The Netherlands but have not had the necessary import licenses required by the International Traffic in Arms Regulation.
A report published by the Terrorism Research & Analysis Consortium also claims the scopes in question had made it into the hands of Taliban fighters.
“The manner in which the ATN Obsidian 4 application is paired with this scope manufactured by Company A supports the conclusion that the information requested herein will assist the government in identifying networks engaged in the unlawful export of this rifle scope,” part of the order reportedly read.
The DOJ’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement department is apparently seeking the data to find end users connected to the shipments of rifle scopes that violated the arms export laws.
Though the import of their products is facing government scrutiny, ATN itself is not under investigation for the alleged export violations.

The government’s requests for app user information sparked backlash from privacy advocates who warned the court order is overly broad and threatens to gather data from innocent users.
Tor Ekeland, a privacy lawyer, said the DOJ order amounted to a “fishing expedition.”
Ekeland warned the government may begin with a focus on one specific case but eventually use the overturned data to pursue other cases against unrelated app users.”

If you have knowledge of me from other sites, you will know that I have an odd “hole-in-my-head” when it comes to people’s names. I don’t have this problem with people’s online nic’s — which leaves me with an odd preference for online interactions. I can generally remember dog names……which leads me to know several of my neighbors as “XXX’s mom” or “XXX’s dad” without being able to remember their names. I recently did a Moron Meetup in Las Vegas with a bunch of AoSHQ regulars, and I was so proud to be able to handle introductions among over a dozen people at a time……..by nic. I knew maybe three “people names”.
Anyhoo…..there was a guy walking a pit, and I asked if it was “Daisy”. When the guy replied in the affirmative, I got to talking to him. I used to talk to Daisy’s dad for some years, and then we talked about his health, then he stopped walking the neighborhood and Daisy’s mom told me he had passed. I had met someone walking Daisy before and heard that Daisy’s mom had major health problems.
I was very pleased to learn that Daisy’s mom had recovered and was currently in good health……and, BTW, the guy was 99-44/100% likely to be the same guy I’d talked-to earlier. Of course, I had no inkling as to his name.
This is all as intro, of course, and the thing that I bring here that might interest people is that the guy grew up in Silicon Valley, and (i) a bunch of the friends he grew up with are with the DoD on the East Coast, (ii) some of his cohort are working to develop a method to keep apps from stealing data, (iii) he was very familiar with Silicon Valley’s current fixation on surveillance, (iv) everyone he knows is talking Linux, and (v) he is very suspicious of both the Google Play Store and iOS models.
And Daisy continues to be a total sweetheart. Intellectually, I know she’s getting old, creaky, and slow — but she refuses to show it.
I should have been clearer in my exposition — the random guy was also Daisy’s quasi-sibling.
Incidentally, the weird mental blanking is generally a pain-in-the-tuchis. I’ve had people work for me as my direct reports that I could not formally introduce because I wouldn’t know their names. I’d know their dogs, their duties, what kind of car they drove, and their activities over the last month in great detail…..and their kids’ accomplishments…..but couldn’t say, “this is Jane Smith” to save my life — even if Jane had worked for me for a number of years. I could even say “this is Rover’s mom”.
A family moved into our neighborhood a few years ago — I couldn’t remember the name of their dog, “Kirby”, until I started to think of it as a brand name of vacuum cleaner. If it had been “Richard Kirby”, the blank would have covered it.

Doesn’t work that way — I couldn’t remember a nic if it was a people-name, just like I couldn’t remember Kirby until I associated him with a vacuum cleaner.
You are not alone in not remembering names. Some of us are gifted with being able to recall names, but not everyone is. It’s just a variation on normal.
I knew all my customers by their animals’ names. (I knew the animals’ names because I always made a name tag to go on their cage, and my check in sheet had the animals’ names on it.) When we rented our facility out for a few years, and we had gone to the hospital for our third child to be delivered, and we saw another couple who had boarded with us who were also having a baby, and I knew exactly who they were, but not their names, their 2 dogs, oh yes I knew those dogs’ names!!

One of the neighbors has a young border collie named “Sage”. She’s about a year old, and was so cute a couple of months ago that it would make your teeth ache from excess sweetness. Her parents were out walking her yesterday, and she kept grabbing the leash and trying to pull them along. While it was cute to watch, I have to suspect that it isn’t good in the longer term.
Many dogs love to play tug-of-war, but it’s important that they obey the command to stop. Sounds like that dog may need training now – or MORE if it’s already been trained.
Border Collies are sheep dogs – they guide and they herd – perfectly natural behavior to guide owners away from what might be danger – away from the road – away from an obnoxious smell – what that dog was doing was totally innate behavior! No foul!!!

I don’t think you’re going to “train out innate behavior” though. Well trained herding dogs can also be well trained obedience dogs, and border collies are smart enough to differentiate between the 2 activities. The more experience the dogs have in their working fields, whether it’s obedience, herding, agility, protection, scent work or whatever, the better they become, and if they are intelligent enough, and have good enough senses, can master several areas.
Emphatically agree, jam! If they are taught to take rest periods, they can live to 15 years – the lifespan of a working border collie is 12 years. I have had two who lived to 15 years – my third is now 6 years old. I love them!!!
My daughter’s dog is at least 15 years, if not older. She was abandoned at our kennel, she was at least 9 mos old if not older at that time, and my daughter and her boyfriend (now husband) adopted her. A young navy sailor brought her in, his wife had taken all their dogs over to the east side of the state, where she was staying while he was at sea, but this one jumped out of the car on the way, He rented a car to pick up the dog, brought her to us as he needed to get on his ship, and the wife was supposed to come get the dog. He was pretty frazzled. I’m guessing her relatives didn’t want any more dogs than what she showed up with; it sounded like there was a small pack of dogs. So we ended up with her.

Our late lab was the offspring of a finished field champion. She could flush and finish ANYTHING. Birds in the bushes were dead. The varmint that invaded one fall evening croaked on the kitchen floor (it was a lot cheaper than vector control). The thing with the hard working herding, sporting and working dogs is they need a lot of exercise.
It’s funny, when the owners of the dogs I overnight sit come home, they are astounded at how calm and well behaved the dogs are. Well, we walk A LOT. It doesn’t hurt the dog or me. And, as Cesar says, and on this he’s right, a tired pack is a happy and well behaved one.

It’s a form of alpha behavior. You’re right, in the long term, it’s not good. Herding dogs have a lot of innate ability, in the form of prey drive, but it needs to be directed. Herding trials are neat to watch, but there’s a lot of effort that goes on teaching the dogs what the owner desires.
I think you are correct. Especially in a border collie. They need to be kept busy or they get destructive. SMART does not begin to describe those doggie brains. Before a walk with one of those, I’d start with a half an hour of frisbee, and put them in a harness rather than a collar and leash.

Meantime something to consider is that though you’d think the US Gov would be the only ones that have these tools, the truth is more than likely that the private enterprises that helped develop these tools have also retained them and these private enterprises are large enough to deploy them.

I often think about my university days, the Vietnam Nam period, Kent State, etc, and absolutely cringe in embarrassment at my totally naive belief that the Government was a kind parent and would never do anything against us. Weather boffins are continually fighting to get larger and larger computers with which to run their models and analyses. They are nowhere near being able to model a single or even a thousand water molecules, or a similar volume of air, and the interaction between the two. Just far too many data points, and far to little processing power to do it in anything close to real time. And that’s ignoring the fact that most of their data is trash, or invented, and most of their models are woefully inadequate and inaccurate.
Creating or controlling a hurricane or storm requires not only massive computing power, it requires incredible physical power, be it electrical, nuclear, plasma, or something else. Many articles about “Tesla Domes”, Scalar weapons, and “weather modification” speak of deriving power directly from the Earth’s Core. Right. Just what kind of vampire tap did they have in mind that can go, say, 8000 miles deep, with another pole/poles going equally deep elsewhere to complete the “circuit”…
Might just as well talk about using Unicorn farts as an energy source. Again, the amount of energy needed is many orders (1000s, 10000s) of magnitude higher than anything we’ve got, even correcting for some whiz-bang technology of which no-one speaks. And drawing such an enormous amount of energy, were it even possible, would leave a mark or signature, the same as a nuclear explosion or “event” does.
Finally, the YSM/MCM/weather fakirs are always banging on about “biggest evah”, “worst evah”, “we’ve never seen anything like this”.
Yet the satellite record only goes back 60 years, max; weather balloons just over 100 years, and so on.
100 years is a looong way from “EVER”. Even the temperature records are only a couple of hundred years in existence, and that in only a very few locations (and with the caveat that these formerly pristine records may have been diddled by the Manniac, UEA, and their friends). All of this to say, we don’t have a true baseline with which to compare.^
Just as those folks who persist in building their houses on stilts in Malibu, folks elsewhere who build in flood plains, tornado alleys, or hurricane “landing areas” near coastlines are inviting risk, at best, and disaster at worst. Last night, looking for (free) movies On Demand, I clicked on one to see what it was about and it started to play instead.
I was called “Now You See Me II”.

It had Jesse Eisenberg in it. He was the hero in “American Ultra”, a film that I thought tried to inform the public about MK Ultra.
The “Now You See It” film delved into computerized invasion of privacy and also the use of this kind of technology to game the financial markets….a part I didn’t understand. I am hoping some of you who do might watch this and explain how it works and if we are up against this kind of stuff today.

There are some who talk nonstop, and there are others who hardly say a word. But there are times, for all of us, when we long to hear a word from someone we love, and we are met with silence. It can be devastating.
Read Genesis 17. Notice how this chapter begins: “When Abram was ninety-nine years old . . .” (v. 1). That means that thirteen years had passed since the close of chapter 16. And in that time, it seems there was nothing from God. Not a word of encouragement. Not a word of reminder regarding His promises. Nothing.

Every word God speaks is for a purpose and every moment of silence is equally purposeful.
The Bible doesn’t tell us precisely why God chose not to speak to Abraham and Sarah during this period of time. Maybe He wanted Abraham and Sarah’s faith to develop to such a degree that it would become unshakable. Or maybe God was trying to imprint on their hearts and in their minds the consequences of their impetuous sin of running ahead of God and not waiting for Him. Remember: Sarah and Abraham decided it would be a good idea to “help” God keep His promises, so Abraham had a child with Sarah’s servant, Hagar. Or maybe God was trying to bring them to the end of themselves.
We know that with God, every word He speaks is for a purpose and every moment of silence is equally purposeful. Whatever God was working in the hearts of Abraham and Sarah, it was to prepare them for what was coming next.
When you pray and hear only silence from heaven, God is working in that silence. Perhaps it’s the silence of His loving rebuke—God is shaking you free from a certain stubborn sin in your life. Perhaps it is the silence of mercy—God is giving you time to reflect on His goodness. Or perhaps it is the silence of waiting. God wants you to trust Him and to rest in His promises. He has not forgotten you. In those moments, let your prayer be, “Lord, whatever it is that You are trying to say to me, speak to me.”
Prayer: Father, thank You that, though You are sometimes silent, You are ever with me and Your silence always has a purpose. Help me to listen to You in whatever manner You choose to communicate. Grant me discernment and great faith as I wait on You. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Apparently, the House Judiciary Committee (that prime ass, Rep. JERROLD NADLER) is going to formally vote THIS WEEK to set the rules and procedures for the IMPEACHMENT PROCESS of President Trump. There is also apparently language in the proposed resolution to “jump-start” the process and to “expand” certain areas of questioning.
It also appears that the House is going to approve language that will permit HOUSE COMMITTEE STAFF MEMBERS to question a witness, AFTER House members have exhausted their own time allotments.
They’re going after POTUS on Obstruction of Justice and Abuses of Power.
