There was a time when I didn’t know

But then I looked deep into God’s Word

I come to this from a somewhat different perspective — that of technical diving. You measure everything possible, you calculate, you have safety divers and reserve tanks, you double-check everything…..and there are horrific stories of people who were watching as safety divers who realized that their friend — 200 feet below — was as good as dead. They couldn’t go to help, or they’d be dead too; they couldn’t stay, or they’d just be another casualty. They had to leave their friend to die.

I didn’t think the AUMF was “stretchy enough” for the first version, and the second is even more flagrantly off-the-rails.

None of the parties involved actually have competent armed forces.

Assad is infamous for car bombs, so his people did it in order o draw in the Kurds.
Assad, the Kurds, and Russia lack the ability to defeat Turkey, so that will be done by the Gulf Cooperation Council, fighting in disguise.
The Turks will give up, and the last, lingering issue that plagued Syria will be solved.
Assad lacks the power to remain in office. the various offensives he’s been carrying out are kabuki.
It’s the same with Russia.

The status quo in Syria was untenable.
When US troops moved out, the status quo changed without anyone losing face.
The only thing I don’t know is what’s on Erdogan’s mind. It’s very likely that he was fooled again into making another massive mistake.
But the Kurds were in a trap of their own making. There was no way that an independent Kurdistan could be created.
That had to reunite with Syria.

Without leadership, they are scattered, disorganized, ineffective, like sheep without a shepherd.

So I read some replies to one of my tweets & got curious & wanted to read a bit of “The Last President” written in 1893 & page 5 it says, “The Fifth Avenue Hotel will be the first to feel the fury of the mob. Would the troops be in time to save it?”
Guess where Trump Hotel is.
In 1893, Ingersoll Lockwood released a novel titled Baron Trump’s Marvelous Underground Journey. In the book, Baron is a boy who travels through time. His adventure begins after he receives instructions from a character known as THE DON
to find a cave in RUSSIA that contains a portal. Keep in mind that Barron Trump is the actual name of Donald Trump’s son. The character’s illustration looks uncannily similar to him. I’m just as weirded out as you trust me.
There’s also a real cave in Russia that was recently discovered in the same area the author described. Even stranger is the fact it was found to contain OOPAs, or Out of Place Artifacts. In 1991, scientists unearthed 300,000 year old nanotechnology.

Lockwood released another novel in 1900 called The Last President. In the book, Trump becomes president. He’s not taken seriously, but still ends up winning. He also lives in a hotel on Fifth Avenue, like the real life Trump Tower. There’s even a character named Pence. Lol.

In The Last President the story begins with a scene from a panicked New York City in early November, describing a “state of uproar” after the election of an enormously opposed outsider candidate.
“The entire East Side is in a state of uproar,” — “Mobs of vast size are organizing under the lead of anarchists and socialists, and threaten to plunder and despoil the houses of the rich who have wronged and oppressed them for so many years.”
Book mentions Baron lives in “castle trump”. Trump owned a Casino called Trumps Castle.
Reminds me of an episode of the 1950s western TV series ‘Trackdown’ featured a character named Walter Trump who claimed he would build a wall in order to protect a town from the end of the world. This is some fascinating and crazy shit.
Even more strange, along with Baron and Don, we have Ivan (masc. of Ivanka) and Yuliana (Melania??) as fellow characters. Yeah it’s all in these books. DEAR GOD

The last president starts off talking about New York but the opening credits talk about Chicago and Illinois is mentioned many times. Like in reference of Obama being the last president or something.
In the end of book, businessmen take over congress and set things to rights.
The first page mentions Tuesday November 3. The next time November 3 falls on a Tuesday will be in 2020. November 3 2020 is Election Day.

Fun fact: I discovered “Baron Trump’s Marvellous Underground Journey” on 7/14/17 (I checked my journal before writing this comment). Q’s first post was 10/28/17. Time difference between those dates? 107 days, or 15 weeks and 2 days. 15+2=17. That book was one of many synchronicities I experienced that summer that foreshadowed Q.

When it comes to “Travels And Adventures Of Little Baron Trump” & “Baron Trumps Marvellous Underground Journey” You really will want to read the first one before moving on to the second if your going to get any sort of synchronicity from the Baron Trump stories other than the uncanny portrait on the cover but since they sell both with in the same cover along with “1900 or The Last President” it shouldn’t be a problem.
The descriptor for the book is that it is ‘a children’s novel’. Personally I found it to be more akin to Virgil’s “Aeneid” with the most remarkable thing being, that I could well imagine Donald Trump having grown up like the young man in this book. What you have in Baron Trump is an indomitable genius since birth going out into world at an extremely young age solving intractable problems that mere mortals would simply walk away from. The other remarkable thing is the level of detail in describing things. Lets just say it’s not a minimalist approach and takes “Be Best” to the extreme as does Baron in the book. Rated G, its not a light read and you can leave your decoder ring home. Lots of dry humor done exquisitely and I found no overarching theme other than what was mentioned.
Oh and if you have heard stories of the real young Baron in the tabloids you might well think he mastered these books at a very young age, which wouldn’t surprise me at all.
On “The Laconics of Cult”, by Ingersoll Lockwood published privately in 1910. It is a 91 page early attempt by a New York lawyer to bring one part of Marxism into vogue through his call on the disestablishment of religion from all human affairs. Lockwood makes a romantic yet angry and discordant attempt to deny the existence of God and all gods everywhere past and present and then to supplant the new modern day humanist ideals of his times, and unfortunately still ours, as a replacement for worship and religion.
Part of his rhetorical device is to compare and contrast the older already failed mythologies of the ancient world with Christianity, Judaism and Islam with lighter touches on other religions. Doing this he picks up an almost nostalgic tone for the older mythologies leaving the reader with the idea that those at least served humanity better by having left us more in the way of arts, technology, and science and were thus more superior than what came after.
Having the reader half won he continues on with his other themes emphasizing the failings of religion and the nonexistence of God, any god, while placing the blame on religious adherents. It’s the old ‘religion is the cause of all our woes and wouldn’t we be so smart as to shun and deny it’s practice’ arguments that you find in Cultural Marxism but he broaches the subject as if he’s never heard of Marx or read Das Capital. Not a mention not a whiff of a mention.
Where Lockwood fails the reader is in his ignoring the upside functions of Religion by failing to note that many of the examples he gives against established religions is that much of the down side examples are committed by either those who purport to believe but don’t really and are no better than the atheist he wants you to be, or by those who are falling back on peoples superstitions to achieve what they believe to be a more nobler good. I’d have more on this but that’s thick enough. Let’s just say spit on “Laconics of Cult” for now as established Religion has done a thousand times more good than it has bad in the course of people’s daily lives throughout history and has been a strong rally cause for matters of importance when done with respect and honor.
A last and final thing on the Lockwood mystery’s. If one was to believe that Tesla actually had a time machine and I’m not saying that I do, then I’d point out that Lockwood’s brother was the preeminent authority on Bankruptcy laws in NY at the time. Might it make more sense that the bits of prescience you see in the Lockwood books might be derived more from the extra circular activities of someone with a more primary objective? Okay, idol minds and all, that’s crazy, maybe more another time 🙂

Concerning “The Last President” by Lockwood there is an amazing feat of prescience that you will not find remarked upon pretty much anywhere as the subject had largely been exhausted by the time that day in the book came about in our present day. People were enamored with all Q-oincidences and a possible link to time travel and Donald Trumps Uncle Nikola Tesla, the renowned MIT physicist (who btw Wolf will sometimes put his portrait up, unremarked upon, in preludes to special posts) and there was much chatter on the internet about it. But all this talk had happened before the President gave his first State of Union speech.
If you look at the last couple of pages in the book the last predictions are that the speaker of the house would cancel the State of the Union and then finally relent and allow it, after which the dome to the capital building would be exploded with dynamite at where somehow no one is hurt and a vote to dissolve the Union takes place. Story Ends.
Well, after everyone had finished trying prove or disprove all coincidences in the book, to include to say the book was fake (which they couldn’t, though the disambiguation pages on Wiki are strange in of themselves) and so on and had just moved on from the subject as if there was nothing further to see, the last freaky thing occurred like a large ocean liner coming out of the fog and should still be fresh in your memory. The speaker of the house did indeed cancel the State of the Union and then relented and allowed it. Just like in the book. Neat trick if you can pull that off.
Note. Ingersoll Lockwood allegedly wrote this book (1900 – or the last president) in 1896. The first State of the Union was given in front of congress by President Wilson in 1913. A lesser neat trick.
The “exploding Capital dome” part and the title (“The Last President”) have always bugged me. I don’t consider this book popping back into my reality for the first time in years to be a good omen.
Definitely a strange rabbit hole.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but will advise again that everyone read Andrew Jackson’s Bank Veto speech of 1832. I frequently carry around Andrew Jackson dollar coins and hand them out to people who promise to read it.
I always suggest that they start with the last four paragraphs, the summary —

The main part of the speech is worthwhile, but couched with discussion regarding the particular bill which sometimes becomes technical. Those last four paragraphs, however, are extremely clear.

My mama used to love freshwater fishing and she liked speckled perch, even more than bass or bream. Each fish had its season. She lived on the shore of a lake most of my childhood and adulthood, but we never lived close enough to the coast for her to do much salt water fishing. If any of these prions contaminate a place where normal variants of the same protein are normally found, an increasing percentage of the proteins will be misfolded in the same way — prions are more like catalysts than infectious agents.
Next, “what is a prion disease?” A prion disease is where a substantial amount of necessary proteins get misfolded. They tend to be neurodegenerative diseases. In bovines, you get “Mad Cow”; in sheep and goats, you get “Scrapie”. In humans, you get kuru and vCJD. In deer, you get Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD). Since prions were only recently described (the term was first used in 1982), things are still in the investigative phase. Even though Scrapie has been recognized since 1732, the mechanisms of the disease are still unclear.
It is also entirely possible that Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Lou Gehrig’s disease are prion diseases. They share many of the same characteristics.
It is known that eating a prion can result in prion diseases. And, being just a protein, prions are highly resistant to most normal forms of sterilization — including heat, radiation, proteases, and chemical reactions (including digestion). Knowing this, one should reasonably be extremely adverse to consuming nerve tissue that may include prions.

For the purpose of this discussion, you should be thinking of “what is the possibility of nerve tissue being included and not sterilized to the level that would degrade prions?”
Put in that prion diseases frequently have incubation periods of roughly half the lifespan of those afflicted — and that the usage of lean finely textured beef was approved by the FSIS in 2001 and the particular disinfection system approved in 2007…..and one might anticipate an explosion of diagnosed prion infections about 30 years later…….
And, BTW, if you have consumed a single commercial fast-food hamburger since 2001, you may have been exposed. The only way to know you haven’t been is if you’ve been processing your own ground beef from cuts of meat.
Misfolded proteins are a genetic alteration – I’m not sure food or exposure to substances can cause the changes in genes and proteins.
Our daughter has a disease called Friedreich’s Ataxia, which has a Guanine Adenine repeat (GAA, etc.) in the 9th chromosome that causes a protein responsible for the metabolism of iron in the cerebellum and brain stem to malfunction, causing an iron build up which kills the cells in those parts of the nervous system. The result is a loss of reflexes, loss of balance, coordination deficits, gait abnormality, and can cause slurred speech, nystagmus, diabetes, heart abnormalities, increasing disability and early death. Her neurologists reported the swift decline of a young teen who had been a body builder and took iron supplements. She is now 48 years old and has taken good care of her health, continued to exercise as much as possible, and avoided iron supplements, but has still been in a wheelchair for many years now. The neurodegeneration has been slow and relentless.
There is one form of ataxia that is caused by Vitamin A deficiency, but I’m not sure if it’s a metabolic problem where the body can’t absorb Vitamin A and if it can be supplied somehow.
Forgot to add – YES the protein folds back upon itself abnormally in Friedreich’s ataxia. It is a recessively inherited disease, so both parents have to have the gene. It is the most commonly occurring inherited ataxia.

I suspect that I would be a horrible mess were I in your shoes. I see advances in medical science inching along and I keep screaming, “FIGURE IT OUT, YOU MORONS!!!!” — but I am fortunate enough to have little skin in the game. My beloved uncle died of leukemia probably 15 years before it will have a cure (about 6 years ago). We are all in a race to see whether technology or destiny will win.
Medicine is advancing incredibly rapidly, but it is still advancing piece by piece, study by study…..there are corners of medicine that could save thousands of people that won’t be generally accepted for years to come.

My grandfather alerted me to “engineered food” 30+ years ago, with the observation that McDonalds shakes don’t melt right because they’re mostly composed of rice flour.
Well, I always brown my rice in a bit of oil before adding the water and it never does anything abnormal.
I use all genuine Publix brown rice. A Florida chain, Publix is careful about food. Never had a problem with their products.

The drug is acetaminophen — AKA “Tylenol”. I will not have it in my house. I can only imagine the amount of graft and corruption that allows it to be sold. It is a killer.
If you want one of the surest ways to commit suicide, knock back a few Tylenol — it will blow up your liver in hours, but your death will be some days later in screaming agony. But, then, you might do the same by accident with a flu pill and a muscle ache pill and a headache pill while drinking a beer — that’s where that “LD-50” statistic comes in.
By contrast, you can slug down about five Motrins [ibuprofen {AKA Advil}] without a mishap — and if you have a problem, it’s generally reversible.
Acetaminophen was probably the most dangerous drug in the US until the opioid crisis. I would recommend that neither have a place in your home.
Be careful with ibuprofin, though. Never take it on an empty stomach. A friend lost a niece who had been doing that, taking large dosages on an empty stomach, and ended up hemorrhaging.
Takes a heap of Tylenol to cause liver poisoning and taking N-Acetyl Cystein can offset or heal Tylenol liver poisoning.
Taking too much Motrin/ibuprofen can cause bleeding. At my age, 70+, I can only take one and it causes my skin to bruise easily and bleed just under the skin when I hit anything.
I know this because my daughter takes many mg of N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC) every day and has done so for 15+ years as part of a study to use antioxidants to slow the progression of her Friedreich’s Ataxia.

2 Corinthians 1:20 For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.
God’s Word is our source of comfort and hope because the Lord always does what He says. Every prophecy in the Bible either has come to pass or will be fulfilled in the future. In fact, Scripture is so trustworthy that Jesus said, “It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of a letter of the Law to fail” (Luke 16:17). But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of a letter of the Law to fail.
However, we must not assume that every promise recorded in the Bible is for us. The Lord’s biblical pledges fall into several categories, and it’s important to understand the difference so we don’t mistakenly claim one that is not meant for us. When we misapply Scripture, we can develop an inaccurate view of God, and that usually leads to disappointment and distrust of Him.
Some biblical promises are limited—they apply to a specific person, nation, time, or purpose. For instance, in Genesis 18:10, He said, I will surely return to you at this time next year; and behold, Sarah your wife will have a son.” And Sarah was listening at the tent door, which was behind him.
the Lord assured Abraham that Sarah would have a son, but we cannot presume that He will do the same for us. He can certainly use this passage to teach us about His providential care and provision, but we shouldn’t grab verses and expect them to be fulfilled in our life regardless of their context.

Yeah I was tired but I made it and there were sports teams up earlier than that. School districts will have to change every schedule and buses will change too. Parents who commute will be in the tightest bind.
“California will become the first state in the nation to mandate later start times at most public schools under legislation signed into law by Gov. Gavin Newsom on Sunday, a proposal designed to improve educational outcomes by giving students more sleep.
The new law is not without controversy, though, opposed by some school officials and rejected twice before by lawmakers and Newsom’s predecessor.
“The science shows that teenage students who start their day later increase their academic performance, attendance, and overall health,” Newsom said in a statement. “Importantly, the law allows three years for schools and school districts to plan and implement these changes.”
The law will take effect over a phased-in period, ultimately requiring middle schools to begin classes at 8 a.m. or later while high schools will start no earlier than 8:30 a.m. The law does not apply to optional early classes, known as “zero periods,” or to schools in some of the state’s rural districts.

While school schedules vary, a legislative analysis in July said that roughly half the schools in the state will be required to delay their start times by 30 minutes or less to comply with the law. An analysis of the 2011-12 school year by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found the average start time for California schools attended by some 3 million middle school and high school students was 8:07 a.m. Some of the state’s students were required to be in class before 7:30 a.m.
The new start times will be implemented by the beginning of the 2022-23 school year or when a school’s three-year collective bargaining agreement with its employees comes to an end, whichever is later. Schools that have recently negotiated agreements or are in the midst of negotiating new agreements with teachers would have the option of adjusting to the later times when their contracts end.
In advocating for SB 328, state Sen. Anthony Portantino (D-La Cañada Flintridge), author of the legislation, cited a 2014 opinion from the American Academy of Pediatrics that said middle and high schools in most districts should not start school until 8:30 a.m.
“Today, Gov. Newsom displayed a heartwarming and discerning understanding of the importance of objective research and exercised strong leadership as he put our children’s health and welfare ahead of institutional bureaucracy resistant to change,” Portantino said. “Generations of children will come to appreciate this historic day and our governor for taking bold action. Our children face a public health crisis. Shifting to a later start time will improve academic performance and save lives because it helps our children be healthier.”

The question of whether to push back school start times has lingered for years across the nation, hotly debated by academics and health professionals. The American Academy of Pediatrics, which backed the proposal along with groups such as the California Medical Assn. and the California State Parent Teacher Assn., pointed to studies that found links between later start times, more sleep and better health and school performance among adolescents.
The pediatricians’ group said it “recognizes insufficient sleep in adolescents as a public health issue, endorses the scientific rationale for later school start times, and acknowledges the potential benefits to students with regard to physical and mental health, safety and academic achievement.”
“Teenagers in this country are sleep deprived,” said Assemblyman Todd Gloria (D-San Diego) before the Assembly approved the bill with a 44-17 vote last month. “It is a public health epidemic, and according to conclusive medical research, the primary cause of this epidemic is the early school start times that are not aligned with biological sleep needs of adolescent children.”

Opponents also pointed out the change could affect bus routes and result in higher district costs. They also said it could prevent parents from dropping their kids off at school before work and push extracurricular activities further into the evening.
The California Teachers Assn. called Newsom’s decision to sign the bill “unfortunate,” saying it creates significant challenges that will ultimately affect students.

Mmmm…no. Actually, one of the big, private all boys schools switched to the later start time, and the kids are doing much better with the extra hour of sleep. Of course, they have PARENTS who actually make them go to bed, but that’s another story.

And around here, the private schools are older than the public schools. At least a handful of the high schools are.
And, really, I don’t know that many private school people who think about paying for both. The sacrifices are made for the good of the kids.

When my kids became teenagers there was no problem to go to bed. They were tired from getting up at 6am got on the buss at 7 am to school. They were involved in school sports and marching band and concert band and had a rigorous academic schedule. They came home at 6 PM from school ate did homework at they turned lights out by themselves at 9-10 PM. We only had one TV in the house by design and they never watch during the week their choice they rather read a book. They also were involved in church youth group.
I am glad I do not have to raise children today with computer iPad and iPhone things have changed so much.
Getting our kids their own phone line was a huge mistake on our parts.
We needed the phone open for husband being on call, but their phone line put them on call at all hours from other kids.
That was before cell phones. I hear getting kids cell phones and unsupervised online time is very risky business – due to predators, etc.

giloo, I have to disagree with you on this. For example, my city. We’ve had evidence (is real and scientific) for decades that teenagers cannot go to bed earlier, but they’ve had them starting school at 0730, while the elementary kids who do go to sleep earlier, and rise earlier start an hour later. Middle-school kids start the latest. All because of the buses! Teenagers will sleep in better, they biologically cannot fall asleep sooner…
Having had 3 teenagers, and seeing how they physiologically/biologically shift when they hit high school age – and our schools have them in high school at 9th grade (which I don’t agree with!) they should get the later start times, and the elementary-aged kids should start earlier.
Anyway, obviously the schools in California are controlled at the state level; in Virginia the state controls some of the start issues – ie. before or after Labor Day, but starting times during the day are left to local school districts. I’ve despised the business people who’ve lobbied our state legislators to keep starts AFTER Labor Day – while all our southern neighbors start late August. They want the teenage labor until the last summer holiday is over.
K-12 schools have been aligning with the college schedules more or less to give the teachers access to summer school to keep their qualifications current. That’s the detail NO ONE who is not an educator EVER considers. Teaching is NOT a September-June job. It’s year round with all sorts of professional advancement and continuing education things happening in the summer because that’s when teachers have time to do it.
As for the late start times for high school: what took so long????????????? Teenagers need a lot of sleep. They are still growing. I mentioned this above that one of the all boys private schools here switched to a later start time with good results. Yes, it messes with schedules that have been ingrained for decades, if not centuries, but the question of what is best for the kids does need to be asked.
The school board has known this for over 20 years, but the businessmen control much of Virginia Beach politics, and the board would cry we don’t have the buses for doing this. Nonsense. It could have been done long ago. I believe that FINALLY, next year, they’re changing the start times for the High Schoolers.
I guess coming from the private school world where there is no answering to governments on such issues, it’s rather ridiculous to me that business would have any say.

I’ve always been a morning person. Shortly after 9pm, I get unproductive and need some serious rack time. I also always wake up before dawn and feel my best in the morning.
So, ALL teenagers don’t need more sleep. Many also would do better without the availability of the stimulation of constant, instant-reward entertainment.

DOJ knows what they’re looking at, looking for, and from what Durham is now doing – expanded his investigation – seems to me this will continue working it’s way to full sunlight.
Federal indictments – good ones – take years to construct into air-tight trial-worthy cases.

All were very graphic and demeaning about our President.

I doubt this very much. Far more likely that she is simply technically minded and has a love for scuba (underwater) and flying, which is actually quite common in aviation. I am a certified Rescue Diver (a 1/2 step away from a Dive Master) in addition to my full time job. And I have many friends who are as well.

I have wondered, how can anyone with conscience reconcile themselves with the obvious lies of the left?
Imo, now I see that if you accept the viewpoint that there really is no such thing as good and evil and that Lucifer is a being of light who wants to lead you into enlightenment and a godlike ability to rule the natural world…then anything goes.

I believe it is all cloaked in “reason” and a desire to impose (their own, tyrannical) order on the world.
I believe that many, many people are under threat from it not least because it appeals to worldly reason and vanity. These people, some of whom are loved ones and friends, need our prayers and need our help.
We must be salt.
Christians need to understand what they are supporting when they lay aside their faith and support globalists and their global, leftist agenda.
For me, this is a call to get right with God no matter what it takes. The consuming fire of God is what we need burning within us to guide and equip us for the times we are living in. We are in a battle beyond our natural capabilities…at least beyond mine.
He is our refuge and our strength. Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.

Gordon Chang on Dobbs, China needs more time before agreeing to deal. Deal is on Pause. China got up front concessions with the delay of Oct 15 tariff hikes AND Someone sabotaged POTUS and leaked that there would be a Deal to the BIG BOX stores beforehand so they went ahead and placed orders w/China for the next season. 😡 They think they pulled one over on POTUS. I hope he hurts em real good for this!!
My understanding was that if China didn’t immediately act on the Agricultural orders – now in the next 3-4 weeks, while the agreement wasn’t signed, then the tariffs would go right back on.
They’re buying Ag cuz they need it immediately. But the Big Box orders mean that manufacturers stay in China longer instead of being relocated To other countries like we want them to. Orders guarantee them more money that we’re trying to suck out. If they renig on deal, I can see POTUS making the tariff increase uglier. The October 15 increase was delayed. Hope POTUS adds that back in addition to the December 1 tariffs.

Not too long ago, maybe last summer or the year before, a family of raccoons moved under the stage at the Muny in Forest Park here. They came up, and on stage, during intermission one night when The Addams Family run was going on. The audience thought it was just part of the show, but the company, The Muny, had to get Missouri Conservation to come and get mama and the babies. They liked to hang out in the orchestra pit.
Last I heard, they were released about 30 miles west of the city.
