I have been wondering what President Trump was going to do about voter fraud.
I read that “previously ” dismissed cases of illegals claiming amnesty are being reopened at increasing rates. Its good and surely ties in here.
This is the third time this scare article has popped up in the last few days. Or the message. The stories aren’t identical, but the message is. Somebody is trying to get into the deplorable heads with this. The source is not the Commerce Department which is actually going to do the distributing, it’s coming from the Center for Immigration Studies that has ZERO authority to say any of what they did.
When the citizenship question was quashed, Secretary Ross did say there were other ways to determine who is a citizen and who is not. I’ve been thinking about all of this, and put this with Barr bringing up Soros and a few other things floating around, and the “something big” coming might well have to do with exposing election fraud. Otherwise, why prep the people?
I knew the origins of this story was CIS. They are a pretty good organization. Their projections have been reported on in several sources.
I don’t know that I would characterize it as a scare story, exactly. But I hope like anything that it is wrong or that something will intervene to keep this from happening.
I do recall Wilbur saying there were other ways to determine who is a citizen…..and True the Vote and Judicial Watch have teamed up to sue states who are not cleaning up their voter rolls.
The big problem with voter fraud isn’t the rolls that need to be purged so much as it is the Motor Voter Act that gets people registered to vote on the “honor system.”

Since they are still doing house to house census, along with mail outs to residents in the US, it is not improbable to think that many many Non_Americans will be counted.
Remember there used to be a question about citizenship, but now there isn’t.
If citizenship is not asked on the census, then the population of quite a few districts could be skewed. Sorting out how many are citizens or not citizens would be an added costly expense. Remember that district representation is based on total population not just voters with use of the census. This method was adopted in 1941. Although it was challenged in 2016, it still stands.

“specific gravity” is just the fancy word for “density” (how much a portion of a certain size weighs). It’s generally quoted in comparison to water; so water’s specific gravity is 1.0, lead’s is 11.9, silver’s is 10.5, gold’s is 19.3 (yes, it’s “heavier than lead”), tungsten’s is also 19.3, platinum comes in at 21.45, and the champion is osmium, 22.6 (those are all from memory so don’t take those to the bank; check). Anything material has some density, including gas.
The sun is largely gas…actually, it’s largely plasma, because it’s ionized. But as it’s made of matter, it has mass, and because it has a certain size, it therefore has a specific gravity.
Gravity (without the word “specific” in front of it) is the attractive force exerted by any mass; the more mass, the more gravity, the greater the distance, the less gravity is felt.
The gravitation exerted by the sun depends solely on its mass and how far away we are from it, likewise the gravity exerted by the earth. Because both the Earth and Sun are radially symmetric with regards to how the mass is distributed inside them (a fact Newton spent a lot of skull sweat in proving–having to invent calculus along the way) we can mathematically treat them as point masses for computing orbits and so forth.
With all that in mind…the only ways the sun could lose “specific gravity” would be to expand (so that the same mass occupies a larger volume, so it’s less dense)…or lose mass (less mass in the same volume–less dense) or, of course, some combination of the two.
If it lost mass, the earth’s orbit would definitely be affected; if it merely expanded (while keeping the same mass) it would make no difference whatsoever–unless it expanded so much the earth ended up inside it, which would cause a LOT of problems (such as earth boiling away).
Neither of these is expected to happen for many billions of years. Well…the sun constantly loses mass, blasting it out as the solar wind, and some is consumed by fusion, turning it into the energy that makes the sun shine, but the percentage is so close to zero we can ignore it. But no significant change in size or mass is expected for a long, long, long time. (You still have to do your taxes.)

The conversion is pretty hefty; a kilogram of (whatever) converted 100% to energy [we have no idea how to do this] would result in 90 quadrillion joules of energy. That would keep a 100 watt light bulb lit for 28 million years, if you could convert THAT into electrical power without waste.
So, giving your professor friends some poetic license, they’re right. (What does it mean to say energy is “organized” is my main hesitation in saying “absolutely, they’re right.” )
Oh, and a back of the envelope calculation..all the energy we humans use (worldwide), cars, lights, electronics, washing machines, etc., in one year..is the equivalent of about 6.5 tons of matter.

Think of the Universe/Space as an un-manifested. i.e. unobservable perpetually oscillating ‘Dynamic Ether/Substratum’, and resulting in a hologram, when different oscillations interfere with each other. Batteries have come a long way with the Lithium multi-cell batteries that power my lawn mower, weed-trimmer and blower!
Every year these get more ‘aH’ capacity so they run longer.
The mower doesn’t have quite the rotation speed of a gas or corded electric mower, but it cuts a pretty lawn.
There are also battery operated pole and chain saws, saws, drills, even shop vacs!
I love being able to do my own lawn/yard maintenance without oil/gas/cords! :8-)

Attorney Lin Wood came up with the brilliant idea of seeking a writ of mandamus from the Supreme Court ordering Pelosi to transmit the articles of impeachment. I read this a couple days ago and cannot find it now. Maybe some sleuth can.
Wood is probably right about mandamus, and he has probably thought about this, but for anyone who pursues this path he might want to consider simultaneously seeking a writ of prohibition and also a declaratory judgement. They are all extraordinary writs used in emergency situations, and the concepts are very distinct but serve similar purposes, and there is sometimes overlap. For instance, should Pelosi be ordered to do something (transmit) or be ordered to stop doing something (holding the articles)? The details of the analysis is different, but one fact can change the analysis from one thing to another, and it is better to do the extra work sometimes and include all paths, rather than being told: “sorry, you got it wrong, you are doing one thing and should have done the other.”
And it would seem like a declaratory judgment might be apt to decide the unprecedented yet critical question about the sufficiency of evidence underlying the articles; problematic, but possible legal path.
I am assuming the SC has jurisdiction to do all these things, based on Wood’s suggestion about mandamus. IOW I am relying on a necessary premise of his suggestion: jurisdiction.
So many other suggestions regarding this extraordinary circumstance just seem off the mark and not quite right. For instance, I love Levin, but simply declaring impeachment null and void (IMO) is too jerry-rigged, and too clever by half.
IMO Wood is looking at a more solid approach.
I do not go OT, but wonder what Ristvan’s analysis of extraordinary writs has been. Does he agree the SC has jurisdiction? What has he said?
I just wanted to add my opinion about whether VSG is impeached. I believe he is impeached.
The situation is unprecedented so no one knows for sure, but an apt analogy is indictment. A person IS indicted when the grand jury votes are recorded and the foreman signs the bill. And there are legal consequences to that fact at that point, even before transmittal,
An indictment has to be transmitted to be tried, but the person is no less indicted, I believe.
The problem with impeachment is that there are no established legal consequences now unless a person is both impeached and the articles are transmitted. But just as the will of the grand jurors has a legal consequence, the will of the Senate has legal consequences, not the least of which is calculating speedy trial time.
And there should be negative legal consequences for those who are charged with implementing that will but fail to do so (Pelosi). But a court is needed to decide the issue, and before a court decides the issue a party needs to get the issue into court.
My guess: if Trump seeks a writ in the SC, Pelosi will IMMEDIATELY transmit the necessary documents, because she knows she is engaged in wrong-doing.
And BTW, this is why the ridiculous Feldman said there was no impeachement, the usual leftist propaganda masked as legal analysis. If there is no impeachment, then there is no basis for complaint. Amazing how that works.

But today is the day for the Appeals Courts to send down ruling on 6E Grand Jury info (only reason it made sense for Pelosi to delay the Impeachment articles + the Don McGahn ruling).

Why do we give gifts at Christmas? When we were children, presents were the highlight of the season, and for some of us, the joy of giving and receiving gifts has not waned. Some people wonder what all this has to do with the celebration of Christ’s birth. But there is a connection—although nothing came wrapped in paper, the occasion was marked by extravagant generosity.
God gave His only begotten Son. This was greatest gift ever given, because His precious Son was the only one who could die as a sacrifice for our sins.
Mary gave her body and reputation. When the angel told her she would bear the Son of God, Mary responded, “May it be done to me according to your word” (Luke 1:38 And Mary said, Behold, the bondslave of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.)
Although this was a glorious privilege, it also included the loss of her reputation. Her engagement to Joseph was as binding as marriage, and to be found pregnant before the actual ceremony would have been scandalous in the people’s eyes.
The shepherds gave a testimony. After hearing the birth announcement from the angel and seeing the newborn Messiah, they couldn’t keep the news to themselves. They told everyone what they had heard and seen (Luke 2:17-20).
When they had seen this, they made known the statement which had been told them about this Child. 18 And all who heard it wondered at the things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary treasured all these things, pondering them in her heart. 20 The shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, just as had been told them.
The magi gave gifts and worship. Having traveled a long distance to find this new King of the Jews, they fell to the ground in worship and offered Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh (Matt. 2:11). After coming into the house they saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell to the ground and worshiped Him. Then, opening their treasures, they presented to Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Although materialism and commercialism have hijacked the tradition of gift giving to some degree, we must also remember the true generosity that is at the heart of Christmas.

The SC schedule can be tweaked as long as it doesn’t cause conflict with the attorneys schedules. Also, it would not matter if Roberts was at the Senate or not. RBG was reading briefs and still voting on cases while she was on medical leave. Same thing would apply to Roberts. He would only miss oral arguments, as did Ruthie. Oral arguments are not an essential step in the process. When there is no oral arguments, the case often is submitted as per curium with no justice signatures thereon.
And the SC takes a straw vote as soon as oral arguments are done. They go to the conference room, take a vote to see which way the wind blows, and then the appropriate justice from the winning side gets assigned to write the opinion. Somehow, this step in the process was ignored or postponed until Ruthie got up to speed.
Side note: individual votes only matter in 5-4 decisions. Also, any case can be recalled for re-briefing and/or re-argument. For any whim of the Court.

3. We are witnessing an ESCALATING game of chicken between PDJT and the swamp. The latest 2 moves in this game were: A) PDJT pointing at Joe Biden and his son in Ukraine and B) then the dims response to that, namely “Shampeaching” PDJT on the ridiculous charges of…well, nothing actually, because there has been no “high crime or misdeamenor” that dims have uncovered and the idiotic “obstruction” charge is stupid because that is what Presidents do to a Congress that isn’t playing ball with the WH…they OBSTRUCT Congress (which, btw, if a FEATURE of our Constitution and the “separation of powers”, NOT a glitch. Guess what? Congress, when controlled by the political opposition, OBSTRUCTS a President of the opposing party in the WH. But I digress….)
4. Piglosi has no intention of EVER sending the articles of impeachment to a GOP-controlled Senate. Why? Because she knows it will go no where and get thrown out by a simple majority vote.
5. HERE, then, is what Piglosi and the vile, disgusting, America-hating dims are going to do….
They are going to HOLD ON to the articles of impeachment, arguing the entire time that the partisan GOP in the Senate would not play “fair” and give the ridiculous articles of impeachment the “fair and impartial” trial the dims want. No, they are going to HOLD ONTO the articles of impeachment in a 2-part gambit…
….namely….
1) They are going to go into the 2020 elections telling voters that PDJT has been impeached but that the GOP-led Senate would not conduct an “impartial” trial.
Why?
A: Because they want voters in 2020 to vote against PDJT and hand the WH to the dims.
And, failing that and if THAT doesn’t work…
2) Democrats are hoping that they can win a Senate majority in 2020, at which point….after they take control of the Senate in Jan 2021…THEN Piglosi would send the articles of impeachment over to a dim-controlled Senate which would, naturally, create the rules and conditions necessary to convict PDJT by simple majority (ie. partisan) vote.
Of course, throughout the next 12 months there will be more leaking of selective material, gossip, and fake whistleblowers…to say nothing of fake news and leftist punditry….giving what democrats will naturally see as 1) justification for withholding the articles of impeachment and 2) creating the urgent calls by democrats to voters to give them control of the Senate in 2020 if not the WH itself.
Naturally, throughout this fiasco, dimocraps will also be claiming that any action taken again the criminals in the Obama administration over the course of the next year (ie. Brennan, Clapper, Comey, et al.) will simply be “corrupt Trump trying to frame innocent people and distract from the corruption we are trying to hold him accountable for.”

The deistic (not Christian) language of the D of I notwithstanding, when the Constitution was written, it was an entirely secular document. Secular, meaning it had nothing to say on religious matters whatsoever, other than Art 6’s prohibition on a religious test for public office (i.e., someone could not be barred from public office because of his religion). This is not withstanding five different state constitutions to the contrary; those provisos all invalidated by SCOTUS.
God is not religion? But he is the subject matter of religion. The various religions/faiths of the world do not agree on the nature of god, the number of gods, how god(s) is (are) best worshiped, what god(s) want(s), etc. We are of course free under the First Amendment to adhere to any religion at all–including, perhaps, one no one else follows but yourself. We are also free to not follow any one at all or even–shockingly–to believe that there is NO god.
You assert that “God is.” I simply don’t believe that god is, I find it far more likely that he/she/it is NOT (though I don’t claim certainty). I don’t expect to convince you of that; I DO hope you to realize that many people do not believe that God “is.”

That’s science, which is the language of the Creator. So whether one believes the Creator “intercedes” directly or not, the mechanism is there. There is a lot of science that backs this up. This amazing miracle, both scientific and spiritual, was created for us to use.
I understand that you are an atheist, and reject the existence of God. But there is nothing in the Constitution which guarantees your “comfort” within our society. If you never want to handle money, because it has something on it you don’t like, use a checkbook and a debit card. And stay out of monuments like the Supreme Court building, because you’ll run into things like this:

I object to the use of the *government*, which uses my tax dollars, to propagate ideas I disagree with, particularly using tax dollars. It has no constitutional warrant to do so.
But I see that you’re now arguing that it’s OK because the majority approves of it. I hope you see the error of that when the majority decides to do something you don’t like.
And you’re still arrogantly presuming that god exists and that therefore my opinion of the matter can be disregarded; your logic is predicated on it.
My logic is actually NOT predicated on the non-existence of God, but it IS predicated on the existence of people who don’t believe that god exists, who have the SAME right to a government that doesn’t spend their money to crap on what they believe, that theists do.
You will note that that argument doesn’t start, or contain, the phrase “because God doesn’t exist,” it does contain things of the form “because not everyone agrees that God exists…” And that is undeniable. There are people who don’t agree with that.
Your argument is based on a premise I simply deny. And quite frankly, I don’t see how it would be germane if it were true. OK, stipulate that god exists for the sake of argument. Why does that mean we have to put some silly virtue-signalling motto–that is in fact a direct LIE as some of us do not trust in god–on our public buildings and coinage? It doesn’t require it, and it doesn’t even *justify* it when you are forcing people who disagree with it to fund it.
Government’s sole legitimate purpose is to protect rights (that too is in the Declaration of Independence), and no right is protected by this action; no right would be harmed by not taking this action.

What’s different about this one is it has no justification whatsoever, where the other ones did.
Ostensibly, impeachment is meant to remove those elected officials guilty of crimes who can not be charged while in office…
President Donald J. Trump has not been charged with a crime… no cite… so, yes, it is a purely POLITICAL effort to remove him from office. A nuanced difference, but a difference nonetheless.
It IS a difference…but it’s not captured by calling it “an attempt to overthrow the president.”
I don’t think any of the past three (Johnson, Nixon, Clinton) would have gotten off the ground without an opposition who would love to have kicked them out of office. The only success, though, was in the case where the impeachment didn’t actually happen, because Nixon resigned before the vote.

In one of his books, published in 1908 (Cy Whittaker’s Place) there was a political issue in a Cape Cod village regarding the deepening of the harbor. The politician who promised that it would happen was lying. Nothing new there.
In another of his books, the hot topic in the village was slavery and those who supported Lincoln were called “Black Republicans”. There is a lot of humor in his books, The laugh out loud kind. But, they are also interesting for the picture of times past.

When we talk about red-pilling people, some things are easier to accept than others. For me, the thought that people like GHWBush or LBJ could have had a hand in assassinations is difficult. I keep an open mind and will look at evidence, but everything within me does not want to accept such an idea. I have no problem believing it of others of the Dem persuasion whom I won’t name here.
I know an elderly man who thinks the Bushes were not perfect but did their best. He actually thinks that any policy aberrations in the GHWBush administration came from Barbara’s influence. So someone like him would never entertain assassination stories without rock-solid proof.
This makes me wonder how many Dems feel this way about their Dem heroes whom we know to have evil intentions. And then some Dems go all the way in the other direction and would champion the elimination of people standing in the way of their “saving the world.”
