I agree! I think that the affected individuals going to WordPress and Akismet is going to get individual action. I need to do a POST on this, so that others will go to WP support and post threads. Meanwhile, I’m going to continue calling out the I.T. problem in no uncertain terms.

I’m working with Duchess right now on her case. She was my first one in the bin again after a few hours of relief.
Good grief. So many of us, relatively speaking, are or have been affected by this.
They don’t have many ways to stop us without being caught. This is one of their few remaining avenues to shut this site down.
Twitter is clearly protecting the coronavirus attack. When this is over, people are getting locked up. Or worse. I sure wouldn’t want to be WP on that.
Magically, I’m getting very little spam at the moment. I think the culprits were found, and their damage is being fixed.

OK – I’m gonna be honest – they’ve never had to deal with a situation quite like this. This is going to have to bounce up to management, which will inevitably try to bullshit us. It’s OK – like I said, they don’t understand what they’re dealing with. Some smarter people will tell them this truth, and they will try to work around it. It will take time for them to reach their first big mistake – we just have to let them do it.

There are – but they drag in so much JUNK and WORK that I hold this possibility out as a last resort.

I went Linux in 2015 because EVERYTHING, down to bits on pins, can be controlled or overridden by the system owner. If you didn’t like whatever was shoving things into spam on your website, you could drill down to the subsystem that was doing it and kick it into next Wednesday.
I looked at the choices being made for me in Windows, Apple, and Android, and I wasn’t a fan. Various distros also make choices for you……but, again, you can choose what you want. One of the first exercises you should perform on a Linux box is to brick your network — drop everything in or out.
You want to get an IP address? Enable DHCP — open port 67 out and 68 in. Want to find websites by name and not by number, enable outgoing data to DNS on port 53 — incoming data on the same port will be allowed as a “reply”. Want to print? Open port 631 for output to talk to CUPS. Want to surf the web? You have to open port 80 to say “hi”. If things will be https, you’ll need to open port 443. You don’t need to be wide open to all the garbage in the universe — you need only open ports to services you actually want to use.

Yeah I keep banging on it and not getting blocked… even with my crazy posts.
I have a bunch of ad blockers and that might be helping. Main one is uBlock Origin.
There are a ton of supporting frames and ad trackers that load if you don’t have a blocker. I suspect that it’s all those crappy ad trackers screwing things up.
So they responded at 1:02am. They want us to file a report with Akissment. That form requries name and email. I know how you feel about that.
“This is very unlikely to be a problem related to your site, but rather the accounts of commenters being mistakenly flagged as spammers by our spam filter. Only the team at Akismet can investigate and fix that, as I indicated above.
That said, to check an issue with your site we need specifics, e.g. we’d need to know which user, on which post, when they left the comment, and preferably we’d have to be able to see the comment still in the spam folder, i.e. not yet marked as not-spam by you.

Do not accept what they are saying at face value. This is how they corral us into a limiting bullshit process.
People are LYING to us already. There are MASSIVE changes in the spam spectrum I’m seeing. MASSIVE. Something is VERY, VERY wrong here.
Only Akismet and/or WordPress (basically Automattic) could be doing things that result in those changes – OR the people who are *allegedly* sending ALL the spam (ALL OF IT) are coordinated – again – THAT would be a TOP MANAGEMENT CONCERN at Akismet – that their spam is intelligently monitoring destinations at a level that borders on state-level or IS state-level.
There are an infinite number of potential causes for the changes, but they all run through Asksmet, the Akismet API, and the WordPress implementation of it.
I am no longer buying the official explanations here. I believe SOMEBODY is operating on the controlled opposition model of controlling both sides to control the middle (US).
What I am thinking of doing is a two-fold approach:
(1) preparing for WAR using new authors, selected from those who are spam-banned
(2) publishing massive data on my spam queue so people can see what Akismet is doing from my point of view
(3) being very transparent about my escalations, so that SMARTER management at Akismet and WordPress can fix this shit before I take it nuclear.

Since this is so random, it would be nice if we could further narrow down the culprit. What do you think about having others test to see if their home network IP’s are being blocked? If we could prove this is THE problem we can steer them where to look. At least would help to rule in/out issues.

My personal thinking is that home IPs versus phone IPs is not the problem – it’s just SPECIFIC IPs which somehow get associated with spam. This will become apparent as follows.
We could ASK everybody who is having problems whether they are having problems on home or phone IP addresses – HOWEVER – both WordPress and Akismet KNOW THIS ALREADY – AS DO I, because I have much of the same information. How do I know that? Because I know – thanks to WordPress – your IP address and everything that can be gotten FROM the IP address.
WordPress forwards this IP address information to the Akismet API to determine if this is spam, and gets an answer back.
THEN – in many cases – THEY ASK US, and then – because of a problem at the WordPress level – they DON’T REMEMBER THE ANSWER.
That is the problem. WORDPRESS IS THE PROBLEM.
This dodge to Akismet is a way to distract from their own responsibility.

You. Your email. Your name. Your IP address. NOT SPAM.

This is simply IT incompetence or management skulduggery.
There is NO feedback of information from admins like me, that our people are not spam. This is such an extreme DEFECT that it almost has to be intentional.

There are parameters that affect Akismet behavior. I believe that somebody “juiced our numbers” somewhere. There will be an excuse, but the true motive is political and nasty. We have to push the HONEST people on the inside to spot the problem and fix it. We are AIDING whatever honest people (probably no patriots, but a few honest leftists and moderates) who don’t like lies – there are perhaps a few on the inside of these companies. The nasty cabaloid tops have probably never had to deal with push-back like this. And it’s gonna get worse.

Just imagine ALL Trump has done, WITHOUT for the majority ANY help from the opposition, media, OR his own party. Imagine what he could actually DO if he had even 10% cooperation from the opposition. Imagine what he could accomplish with a TRUTHFUL MSM. Imagine what he could accomplish with actual, full throated, 100% support from his OWN party.
The man has almost singlehandedly, FIXED the world, not just the US. He has fixed the trade imbalances, the economy, and brought jobs and wealth HOME. He has fought evil in ISIS. Iran, and NK, and put them ALL in check. He has made all the other countries come to the table AND pony up their FAIR shares. He has NEUTERED China, the EU, and CRUSHED Globalism.
He has made us energy independent for the FIRST time in 75 years. Do you know WHY we were energy independent 75 years ago? Because we were in WW2, we HAD to be. What happened DIRECTLY after WW2? The greatest economic boom and prosperity until NOW. We became THE superpower. Trump has REENABLED and awoken us in that regard. He does it with the PEN and the THREAT of the “big stick”…simply AMAZING. He has REFORMED our alliances with our FRIENDS, and redefined our ENEMIES.
He actually has a CHANCE, better than 50% to actually SOLVE the Mideast peace problem. He has defined the terrorists that run the Palestinian “resistance” and formed Arab alliances ALL around them to up the pressure. He cut off their automatic aid, AND neutered Iran, ISIS, and even Russia that helped ENABLE them. They may talk big, but they simply will HAVE to come to the table, the promise of a 2 state system, AND economic development…just for PEACE and to recognize Israel’s right to exist is TOO MUCH for them to pass on, it is more than they EVER got, or will EVER get again. Were they to refuse ALL the things they have supposedly sought for centuries, their TRUE agenda, would be exposed. Look at the uprising in Iran as a template, how long before the Palestinian people realize that they are mere PAWNS and fodder. I know they are radicalized, and I know they are brainwashed, but common sense WILL creep in. The quest for freedom, AND Independence has to have some sway, however small, and it WILL grow. Only Trump could pull this off. I pray he does. Imagine IF he had help here and in the MSM, it might actually happen.

My dear father-in-law (may he rest in peace) always said crows were the heralds of the woods…so I watched and watched for something –anything to appear–deer, bear maybe? but nope nothing.
this morning hubby was out and heard them again and followed them to a small deer corpse. he said it was half gone already–the front legs were gone, rib cage exposed, but it was clear that , like Epstein, this deer didn’t kill himself…

Every day I put out peanuts for the squirrels, (and the bluejays) but there is always a murder of crows nearby – one in the tree signalling the others that the peanuts are out.
The squirrels do manage to get their peanuts – they even come running from across the street when they see my door open – but if the crows are around, they clean up fast.
To keep my kitties entertained, I’ll put out several several piles of sunflower seeds, and corn. Win, win for everyone! 🙂
We live out in the country and have lots of crows but a particular group of 5 visit almost daily. We call them Brother/Sista Crows. Buffet for all Gods creatures here on the small farm.
My hubby said that’s how crows travel – almost always in groups of 5. One is on guard at all times. They’re really amazing birds.

George Washington is and always will be the greatest POTUS of all time.
1. He personally led the Continental Army FROM THE FRONT, sharing the same food, cold, risks of disease, and death/wounding as his men THROUGHOUT the Revolutionary War. (See: Crossing the Delaware at night in the lead Bolton boat as just one of countless examples)
2. His honor, integrity, character, HUMILITY, intelligence, faith, eloquence, courage, determination, foresight, tirelessness, fortitude, loyalty, and a continuing list of qualities were and are unmatched by any POTUS since. All had some of these, none had them all as did Washington.
3. HE IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE ONLY PRESIDENT TO HAVE FACED THE GREATEST TEST OF ALL.
When it came time for him to step down from the Presidency, no one wanted him to do so. Not the leaders in Congress (political), nor the judges on the SCOTUS (judicial), nor the leaders of the military (defense), nor the leaders of banking and commerce (trade), nor the people themselves (public). In spite of the Constitution…to and for which so many had pledged their lives, fortunes, and honor…no one wanted Washington to step down. HE WAS LITERALLY BEGGED BY ALL TO IGNORE THE CONSTITUTION AND INSTEAD DECLARE HIMSELF KING OF AMERICA. NO ONE WOULD HAVE OR COULD HAVE OPPOSED HIM, SUCH WAS HIS POPULARITY AND PUBLIC REGARD.

Let us say this: Washington was up against one clearly defined enemy attacking him from one direction only. Trump is up against an amorphous, diaphanous blob filling in and oozing out of every gutter and crack in D.C. and throughout the world. A different order of Greatness is in play now in President Trump.
I think about this often. So far, Washington is the pinnacle of presidents. Together, Washington and all the great thinkers and doers of the American colonies had to CREATE a new GESTALT of society, government of the people, by and for the people. Yes there was one defined enemy, King George’s army/navy/economy, but that has the total of history for support – the way things have always been – and Washington defeated that. Washington is the maker of a New World, defeating the old ways out in the open.
Washington was president of the Constitutional Convention. None of the thinkers thought themselves to be smarter than Washington. They knew he was the best doer. Washington was leader in all aspects. He is the FATHER of our country. The brightest lights of history were on his team.
However, Trump resides at the creation of a Second New World. Washington made a place for free people, and his opponent was out in the open plainly seen by all. Trump must defeat a new enemy built on computers, communication, and secrecy. Trump’s enemy and ours is truly a cabal and very powerful, a dark swamp and a deep state, and worse.
If Trump defeats the cabal then one like Washington is here – with us now. My eyes have tears in them, by thoughts of a kind and righteous God who loves us so. It is time for each of us to self-actualize ourselvf into who we ought to be. Trump is more on his own in this than was Washington.

Plumnelly, you’re not the only one who found their husband over a beer. Was at the Officer’s club (Navy Nurse) at Portsmouth Naval Hospital, Happy Hour, and there was this guy not making a fool of himself, and he liked to dance. His submarine was in the shipyards in Portsmouth, and a bunch came up to the club to meet some nurses.
Funny part to the story – turned out he’d actually had several beers. I was drinking Tab soda, and wouldn’t let him buy me one – didn’t like to take advantage of anyone.
Exchanged contact info – I had to leave, had a date that night. Reconnected a couple of months later, engaged 2 months after that, and married 2 months after. Celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary this month. 🙂

Your response puts all the responsibility on the Admin to resolve as none of us blockees have access to the SPAM bucket. He’s already added to this thread that the deluge of SPAM is burdonsome. It might be helpful if someone at WordPress could also escalate on our behalf. It’s beginning to look like a “targeted” problem for our Blog.”

If individual ID’s are being marked as SPAM, then why can they comment on some Author’s posts, and not others??? A flagged account would be blocked accross the board!

-What happens if you use a secondary WP account?

hi Kea, yes I’ve used 2 laptops, iPad and iPhone. Also used wifi at the gym. My results are same.
A second WP account requires a 2nd email. All new accounts here automatically go to moderation until approval from W. Would be introducing new variables to the mix. We need to concentrate on The known.

Akissmet is free, automatic in WP. I don’t think that’s the problem. If my account was marked as spam, I’d be blocked everywhere. Marica wouldn’t be able to access her own blog. Wolfie’s right, Someone’s F’n with us.

I asked this above but what happens if you try a friend or family member’s computer (or your local library) and log into your account and see if it still goes to spam. Of course, if you use a computer that’s not your own doing forget to log out of WP or clear the cookies after.

Go to a ‘text editor’ like Libra office in Linux or MS word in Windows.
press [Ctrl] [v] or [Edit] then [Paste] to paste the text into a text file.

I think about this often. So far, Washington is the pinnacle of presidents. However, Trump resides at the creation of a Second New World. Washington made a place for free people, and his opponent was out in the open plainly seen by all. Trump must defeat a new enemy built on computers, for vast wealth, communication, and secrecy. Trump’s enemy and ours is truly a cabal and very powerful, a dark swamp and a deep state, and worse.
If Trump defeats the cabal then one like Washington is here – with us now. My eyes have tears in them, by thoughts of a kind and righteous God who loves us so. It is time for each of us to self-actualize into who we ought to be. Trump is more on his own in this than was Washington.

The idiocy of the trans craze has touched me today.
One of the aspects of being a classical and church musician that you just have to live with is contact with those who choose to pursue non-God intended sexual attractions. For the past couple of years, I’ve had contact with a music director who we concluded (and a mutual friend who is a nurse all but confirmed) is – and given this latest development, hopefully now WAS – transitioning from…man…we’ll just go with anatomy, to woman.
This guy…not normal at all. I’m not sure what the trauma in his past is, but something happened, and last March, the weekend of a concert he directed, he fell and broke seven ribs. This guy is in his 20s. Falling hurts, yes, but seven ribs broken? Either he did more than just fall down stairs, or the bone density was compromised.
Within the last month, he was found unconscious on the floor, and it turns out he had a stroke.
All those extra hormones…just like in women, mess with the natural balance and you open yourself up to this sort of thing. Stroke is a risk of any hormonal birth control for women. This reality, along with heart attacks, is why testing of the pill was shipped to Puerto Rico. It was being noticed in the US. What makes the guys who think they want to be women not realize that it could happen to them if they pump themselves up with what was never meant to be in the male body?
This is one of the reasons soy is dangerous to male humans. So is flax. It’s loaded with phyto-estrogens. Lavendar acts as a phyto-estrogen for men and boys, but doesn’t for women. This is not uncommon knowledge.
Why would any responsible physician give these guys that which might kill them?
Now, truthfully, I have no great affinity for this particular guy, but he’s still one of God’s creatures. I just had not heard of a transitioning man actually having a stroke before now. I doubt seriously he’s the only one.

We also avoid domestic cheese and try to find dairy & eggs from animals fed soy free grain if they are given supplements. We are what we eat, eats! I get thyroid reactions from specific domestic cheese but less from European cheese as they feed less soy.

Fortunately, the ladies of that parish made sure he ate before the concert. Among the singers of the three parishes that get together for the Lenten concerts is a WORLD CLASS physician. I mean, like, he’s one of the people who administers the board exams. Plus, a few nurses. If this guy went down, we were covered. He didn’t, and there were some glorious moments in that concert.
A stroke, though, is a completely different thing.
He is WAY too young for a stroke. I hope he gets a decent doctor who can straighten him out.
If this is from the transitioning drugs, just think what it is doing to those poor kids who aren’t even grown yet!

It’s hard to say. It could be somebody inside any of the three companies, acting in a rogue fashion. It could be an outsider who knows how to tweak their API against people here. It could be a PLAN by management at AutomattiKKK to begin restricting conversation on their blogs, starting by what appear to be random restrictions on content, which cover for increasing logically discernible restrictions.

Yes – the LINK by itself goes into spam. But you’re not spam. You are a valued poster here who can post a link any time. You don’t need to post anything more.
Try that same link again – the one that gets trashed – but put a sentence about it on a previous line, like “Look at this link about blah” – see if that changes the outcome of their algorithm.

The Twitter URL may have inadvertently helped the CFP URL (hard to explain – it’s a bit like a mathematical bona fide). Try the CFP URL by itself – remove the twitter URL – see if that works.

True – anything i tried to post disappeared.
This leads me to believe that they are trying to adjust your “score” behind the scenes.
What does that mean?
It means that they have some kind of values in their systems that are applied to posters who have been identified in some way, and those numbers can be – quite literally – “crazy”. A bunch of our posters got “crazy” values, and the system essentially goes after them – treats them like spammers.
This is a HUGE weakness in WordPress. But I can see how they were snookered by Akismet on this.
Akismet makes it easy to deal with spam, BUT you have to give up control of things to Akismet.
WordPress is now a HOSTAGE of Akismet in dealing with their own bloggers and commenters. Akismet’s functions that determine who is a spammer and who is not have weaknesses. Worse still, MORAL JUDGMENTS of posters have been off-loaded to Akismet, so WordPress is no longer in charge of who is an OK poster, but they have to pretend that they still are, and that any Akismet actions are just a “mistake” or a “bug”, or a “problem in the code”, or worse still, “something the poster did wrong to ‘run into’ Akismet code”.
The whole thing is wrong. Sneaky and WRONG.
That STINKS!!! So WP cannot do anything to override the CONTROL Askimet has over this blog – and scott is in the SPAM CELLAR right now – isn’t he?
Oh, WordPress could EASILY fix this without ANY effort by Akismet. They just pretend that they can’t do anything.
This is all a dodge. WordPress could whitelist every one of you AUTOMATICALLY, or let me whitelist every one of you, but in doing so, it would lead to one or both of two things they don’t want – (1) giving up hidden censorship, and (2) making the censorship transparent.
I could write the code to fix this. Whatever language. Or specify the design. They can’t lie to me. This is a pure design problem. They are not being honest about their design criteria.
Anybody who WP’s GUI liberates from spam as “OK”, or who their GUI says is not OK, based on an admin click, needs to be gray-shaded toward whitelist or toward blacklist. My guess is that Akismet talked WordPress out of their own responsibilities to their users. That is how *I* would take down free speech if I was some satanic buttplug selling Akismet as a Trojan horse to WordPress.
The Akismet software, founder, and company have a real “heart-string tugger” story. Not sure that I buy it. Not at all.

This tells me that there are complex functions involved, both at WordPress and Akismet, and that these can be TWEAKED to MESS WITH PEOPLE OR BLOGS. What happened is that somebody went in and spun some dials to make them BACK OFF on posters here.
WordPress admins start getting complaints, and WordPress / Akismet start getting bad press here, and suddenly there are CHANGES behind the scenes.
So…. more likely to be an algorithm than a person?
Can’t really say. I smell people involved here. And remember – ALGORITHMS are written, deployed, and their buttons PUSHED by people. So there ARE people involved – writing and USING algorithms. The question is simply HOW the people are involved. Multiple times and places, no doubt.
