I found his walk to the church and holding up the Bible to be very brave acts. I had tears running down my face and was thanking God for President Trump.

In personal news, I generally have a couple of mugs of tea to kickstart my productive day, after reviewing status and checking newsfeeds and the like. After my morning cuppa, around noon, I evidently decided to accelerate my wakeup plans by not waiting for the second cup to actually brew, but rather slopping boiling water over my left hand.
I don’t particularly remember making this decision, but I do remember stabilizing the equipment and having my hand under running cold water within about 1.8 seconds. I must say that it is a very effective wakeup technique. After a few minutes of this, I got a baggie of ice and a little water to put across the area. After about seven hours of that (so much for productive), it stopped stinging. Now, about two hours after that, the line is blurring between the area that got hit and the rest of my hand.
The Fiancee keeps talking about blistering. I think I got to it fast enough, and effective enough, that it’ll be gone tomorrow. Nevertheless, it is unlikely that I’ll be doing that again any time soon. While adrenaline outscores caffeine as a stimulant, a serious flash of pain is definitely inferior to having a peaceful cuppa as an administration method.

You will note that I waited until I could joke about it.
At this point, it’s a lost day and a memory. Plus, there’s little trivia points that I find interesting — for instance, I’m old enough that when I raise my palm up in comparison to my forearm, there are certain habitual creases. One of which was in the slop zone. And while the areas on both sides of the crease are no longer even red, the crease is.
Overall, it’s yet another example of where effective incident response is critical. As another example, some time back I leaned on the back of a toilet to steady myself while standing, and the tank broke where the bolts come through from the bowl (this required surprisingly little force). Before assessing or addressing the extent of the problem, you must shut off the source. I cut off the water at the valve in the wall and then moved to deal with the rest.
More recently (as in, this weekend), the Fiancee decided to clean some parts of the bathroom. (I’ll do this, albeit reluctantly, because I am very susceptible to chemical fumes — so I tend to use other products.) So she sprayed this wonder-foam around the place with gay abandon…..until I had to evacuate my room. We had the whole-house fan dumping these fumes into the attic, from whence they left the immediate vicinity, but she had done so much in that bathroom that not all was going outside. When we went to clear that end of the house, she suggested that we clear my room first…..and I said, “no”. We had to clear the bathroom, the bedroom, and the hall before clearing my room because otherwise we’d clear my room and it would just get contaminated again from upstream. You have to start by cutting off the source.
It is said that stupid people don’t learn. Regular people learn from their mistakes. Smart people learn from other people’s mistakes. I’m trying to save people the trouble of looking for mistakes to learn from.

My hubby gets nervous when I am cooking or doing things in the kitchen…because I so frequently hurt myself in some way.
One time when I was chopping up corn on the cob for our parrot, with a butcher knife…I nearly cut a finger off.
It was bad.
Ever since that happened, whenever he sees me with a knife trying to cut something…he hurries over and says, “Here honey, let me do that for you!”

My dad, also a Marine, died of leukemia. Was he stationed in Asia at any point? My dad was in Japan at one point.
Korean vets have high percentages of such diseases.
One of the very amusing things about this breed is that they build stick nests — and have learned to build them next to human sources of heat. So they are actually colonizing Connecticut (next to power pole transformers) and have made it up to upstate NY.
I’ve seen some of their huge nest builds, in Youtube videos.
And they are massive!
I created a nesting-perch for Peaches, by affixing a little ladder horizontally up near the roof of her main cage.
She was constantly fidgeting with it, rearranging the small dish towels and such, that I would give her.
So I learned about her species penchant for nest-building, first hand.

Yeah, I had plenty of time to reflect on the fact that boiling water (at atmospheric pressure) pretty much tops out at 212F. There was a story I read once where someone tried to grab his watch falling into a deep fryer — that’s about 350F. Hot bacon grease would probably not be good.

An “old time” treatment for skin burns…one that my family used for generations with success…is strong brewed, cool (or cold) tea applied with a soft cloth. It has to do with the tannic acid in the tea. Immediately soothes and prevents blisters. We used it for sunburns, and I can personally attest to that.
Of course, my maternal grandma was a great believer in aloe Vera and always had a plant or two growing wherever she lived.
PS….isn’t it nice we can post about parrots and little accidents (sorry, Coothie!) instead of the carnage being done to our country? Mental health break.

Well, I just experienced a freaky coincidence.
I was talking with someone here about the TV series “Connections” written/presented by James Burke. It came out in the early 1980s, and its theme boils down to all the different connections between technological advances; he likes to show how totally unrelated-looking things are in fact related.
The very first episode, he wanted to emphasize how fragile modern civilization is. So he started out in New York City…walking across the World Trade Center plaza, you know, the one that’s not there any more, and eventually he gets into an elevator and goes to the observation deck–again, the one that’s not there any more. That was literally the opening shot and sequence of the entire series.
So then he tells the story of the power outage of 1965. One of the things that happened, of course, was a plane on final at JFK airport lost its ILS signal because all of the power at the airport went out. The pilot had to abort the landing, and finding himself heading towards a blacked-out Manhattan and NOT wanting to hit any skyscrapers, executed a fairly steep and abrupt turn.
It was Scandinavian Airlines Flight 911.

Here are some truths I will explain:
Tucker is right about EVERYTHING he says, but he needs some additional thinking which I will explain, because he cannot see some very cunning communist strategy which I figured out here. Jared Kushner actually sees it, too, and clearly Trump sees it. Thank God Jared is there to see this stuff.
Trump HELD HIS FIRE – that is a VERY important and different thing from not doing anything.
Tucker did NOT directly compare Trump to Nero – he gave a VERY valid warning about Nero. Everything Tucker is saying is true – even that Kushner is leading Trump in what appears to be the wrong direction – AS WOULD WOLF MOON!!!
Tucker IS (and I say this as a 100% supporter of Tucker here) “controlled opposition” – and once you see how the very smart and EVIL people behind ANTIFA did it, you will be amazed and angry at how LITERALLY evil they are. They DROVE Tucker in one direction and then FOUGHT Trump in the other.
There are MANY kinds of controlled opposition. In theory, ALL opposition is controlled, just by BEING in opposition. But set that theory aside to think in a general way about positively/actively and negatively/reactively controlled opposition, as the phenomenon of doing something that makes the other side act or react in a certain way. It is PSYCHOLOGY – and using violence, fear, sex, anger – primal stuff – gets past our reasoning and RE-DICTATES THE BASIS OF OUR LOGIC.
When ANTIFA attacked Tucker Carlson DIRECTLY and PERSONALLY – in his home – they understood fully that this would make him hyper-vigilant against ANTIFA and rioting. The left KNEW that this day was coming, and attacking Tucker Carlson was literally preparation for it, although that reasoning never resided with ANYBODY lower than George or Alex Soros, IMO. ANTIFA is an amazing TOOL to pull off this kind of stuff, but that is all they are – a 4GW tool, designed by the KGB.
Bear in mind ANTIFA’s first main use. CREATING HITLER. Yes – the big picture historical FACT is that ANTIFA – a tool of Stalin, succeeded in bringing down Germany as a powerful, world-leading democratic nation, by creating REACTIVE OPPOSITION which exceeded their wildest dreams.
I am sure that Jared gets this in the same way I do, but that is not the thing that Jared gets here that is important. THAT is driving Trump in the opposite direction on how/when to deal with rioting.
People are making a distinction between ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter which is subtle and not entirely complete, because “Black Lives Matter” is being used as a handy name for something different, and that is really black Americans as a whole.
The RADICAL LEFT is trying to pull black America BACK AWAY from Trump. Remember – Kushner was the ACTUAL Trump election campaign strategist in 2016. He understands what is needed to win 2020, and he is doing the right thing by breaking black voters away from Democrats. Kushner has a great strategy, and I am NOT going to spill all of it that I understand.
The Democrats, as usual, are using wicked crisis psychology to keep both blacks and whites on their plantation, afraid of or angry at the MYTHICAL BOOGEYMAN KLAN REPUBLICANS off the plantation.
Yes, I agree with Tucker – we need LOGICAL thinking, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE his harsh words for Republicans I love and respect, like Mike Pence (doing his perfect straight man for POTUS) and Nikki Haley (emotional thinker par excellence). We need all of these people. We need to understand that black American have been scared, once again, by Democrat LIES.
A guy who happens to be black was killed – MURDERED – IMO using fentanyl and a choke hold. This was a very evil, high-level, elimination of a risk of some kind – probably a witness or informant on a dirty Muslim operation protected by Ilhan Omar and Keith Ellison. There is SOME possibility that we will get real justice here, but this murder is so slick, and so evil, that the “easy” explanation of BLACK GUY TAKING DRUGS will take hold, and it is almost useless to fight it – very easy to give up and take a more believable narrative.
As an aside, NEVER take drugs, because it opens up plausibility on overdose, suicide, etc. In addition to ALL the other reasons.
In any case, LOGIC says that all of this – absolutely all of it – is wrong, and Tucker is brave enough to say it. This is why ANTIFA hates him – Tucker gets it all. HOWEVER, we are in an emergency situation. This is yet another scurrilous attack on Trump, designed to drive him. We have to allow him some DODGE ROOM. That means be emotional about an AMERICAN CITIZEN, protected by the Constitution, being very likely MURDERED by police.
THEY COULD HAVE WALKED HIM TO THE FUCKING STATION AND HE WOULD BE ALIVE RIGHT NOW. WALKED HIM IN FULL PUBLIC VIEW, AND HE WOULD BE ALIVE.
Think about it. LOGIC. Something is wrong with policing, and I suspect Democrats who pushed LE as controlled opposition are behind it.
LOGIC.
And yet why should I not be OUTRAGED and angry that one more citizen – very likely a WITNESS like ME – I said ***** LIKE ME ***** – DIED in the care of cops, most of whose patrol cars, every day, are the SAFEST place one can be?
So – I’m with Tucker, I’m with Jared, I’m NOT with Nero, but MOST OF ALL I’M WITH TRUMP. We are absolutely right to be outraged by deaths in police custody, but WRONG to allow violence to be justified by violence. THAT is communist. THAT is wrong and must be punished SEVERELY.

I was washing dishes and she flew by my window–ever see a turkey fly? they are HUGE…lol…she landed and strolled around the pond, then made her way to the garden. when she found the dirt pile, she settled in. I love watching the animals here!

RAM truck towing large horse trailer has to force it’s way through crowd. They were returning from a barrel race story says.
In some of the comments it describes the horse’s made it through fairly well. In other comments one horse was burned and died as demonstrators managed to start the back of the trailer on fire. That’s why I’m assuming it happened to more than once.
Personally kind of shocked people in Okl. would not have more respect for vehicles obviously transporting animals.

There are a lot of government buildings in that area, so doubt they would have used it close in there, unless maybe wind was from south.

Hi Zoe. Please don’t subscribe to fake news about Jared, they’re trying to divide us. Tucker was out of line about him last night. Jared is extremely bright and a good negotiator, he is only doing what POTUS has tasked him to do. If you’re mad at Jared, then you’re mad at POTUS, IMO.
Well, if the republican platform gets watered down by, for example, changing stands on marriage and other family issues, we will know if my concerns are valid, and I don’t get my info from “fake news.” I agree Kushner is strategic, and he will use Christians and others, but he is a liberal on social issues, and I am not. My dislike is long-standing. I am pro-Israel, but I believe his loyalty is much more to Israel than to our country. I do not trust him and never have.
Most of us haven’t either, we just have to tolerate him. I’m going with the assumption that POTUS would like to hear what the lefties want from some one who can be respectful and someone he can half way tolerate since the normal lefties have gone completely off the rails.
That’s what I want to think, but Kushner and his helpers at RNC have been trying to change the platform for at least six months.
Jared is complex and inscrutable – he is every bit as Sun Tzu as President Trump! I don’t blame people for thinking what they do about him. He keeps an EXTREMELY low profile, and allows myths about him to take hold. He may even encourage some of them.
I think Kushner allows people to think he’s as liberal as Ivanka, because it gives him incredible cover to do some of the really great things that he does. I know people won’t believe this, but I believe he’s DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for Trump’s strong mutual support pact with Christians. This is based on some strategic GOP insights I witnessed through rally operations in 2016 and before 2018. I am certain that Kushner was the strategic mind behind what I saw.
Sometimes Trump dodges in ways that people don’t get, but I believe that – like Trump – Jared is just VERY savvy about how to EVADE the traps that leftists set out for the religious, but even more so, he understands how to motivate the religious to stand up for themselves THROUGH TRUMP.
Jared has insight into a LOT of different types of voters, and I have to concur with his thinking. He knows what he is doing, IMO.
I don’t really want to spoil his great game, but I doubt that many will believe me on this, and those in high positions on the left who would believe me, already know it, and despise Jared because they realize how effective he is!
Jared is very very sharp. I hope, in President Trump’s second term, things are calm enough that his light can shine brightly.

Ristivan, highly regarded and valued by so many of us, was dealing with ongoing heartache over the health of a loved one.
I believe that he was either banned or insulted by someone OT—someone ostensibly on the same side—who had a differing take on some legal point and who felt that that scoring a political point to prove their “rightness” was more important than valuing a long-standing, proven fellow Deplorable and helping him stay in the fight for MAGA.
This is a loss for all of us but also a lesson.
If we can just take it to heart and learn to air our differing opinions in a way that does not divide us we will all be better off,

Takes a time out. Has wanted to share this concerning one of the first Snake stories ever told and it has to do with an Eagle. However it’s not what you might suspect from an Eagle and Snake story.
The Story is Called “The Myth of Etana” and peoples were known to be familiar with it all the way back in 2300 BC though it’s true origins likely go back much further. Now mind you the story is much more involved with just the Eagle and the Snake as later the Eagle had to redeem itself for it’s trespass against the Snake and that’s where Etana comes in. Etana was the first mythological king on the Sumerian Kings List and is known as “he who stabilized the lands” and brought order out of chaos (sorry some how that seems relevant for today and maybe a bit eerie if you see it to the end of the explanations just before the deciphered text ). I’d venture, since I’ve seen plenty of other stories going back to similar dates, that put snakes in the normal bad light, that part of the reason for reversing the rolls was likely as a device to get people to listen to the whole myth.

If that tweet from Sen Collins was accurately portrayed, four things immediately come to mind:
1. The right to peacefully protest does not convey the right to block a public thoroughfare with that protest.
2. That crowd was not peaceful, having been taunting the police and occasionally throwing objects.
3. Tear gas was not used on that crowd, just smoke without the irritant.
4. When the President makes his way from point A to point B, his security requires that the way be cleared for him and and securely held for his passage.
You are correct on all 4 points in my view Carl… Sen Collins apparently needs glasses.

Elections have consequences….learn, voters of NC.
We DID VOTE REPUBLICAN!!!
However a few counties like Durham were not called until the morning of the next day. Attorney Chuck Kitchen told me that 20% of the counties in NC had MOAR VOTES than adult living in the county. Many ballots ONLY had Hitlery and NC Governor Roy Cooper(D) marked. Roy Cooper had been the State Attorney General BTW so any claims of voter fraud would have to go through HIS OFFICE!
The NC ballot was not arranged by party so it took quite some time to vote a straight Republican or straight Democrat ticket. I think this is why so many NC ballots ONLY had Hitlery and Cooper marked. If you are ballot box stuffing trying to check off all the Democrats would take forever and they just did not have the time.

What is interesting is that the fraud was caught. However thanks to The Consent Decree of 1982 which prohibited the RNC from investigating Democrat Election Fraud nothing could be done. With the ending of that Decree (The judge finally died) The GOP CAN go after voter fraud.

Two points about that consent decree:
1. Even though it was clearly a case of legal malpractice by RNC attorneys, AFAIK no malpractice suit was ever pursued;
2. The decree applied ONLY to RNC, not state GOP or local GOP parties yet the RNC never told those other parties that it didn’t apply to them. Instead the RNC allowed them to believe they were barred also.
To my knowledge, no one has ever investigated whether there was a side deal between RNC and DNC attorneys. If one existed, the decree would have been voidable (like Flynn is trying to do right now).
Rigging an election is a violation of LAW and of the Constitutional RIGHTS of the citizens (disenfranchisement).
The RNC shouldn’t be allowed ANYWHERE NEAR the crime scene, or have anything to do with it.
It’s a matter for LAW ENFORCEMENT, and the private country clubs (DNC + RNC) can take their ‘consent decree’ and shove it so far up their *&^ it comes out their mouth.

Just got home. Apparently there was a protest in downtown Houston, 60,000. The lefty Mayor, some of Floyd’s family, NFL players, supposedly peaceful. Crowd got some cops to take a knee, even the lefty police chief. That was a mistake. Now there’s an angry crowd around the chief demanding he turn over all the footage of officer misconduct for 17 years/cases?? Police are trying to get everyone to leave. Not everybody cooperating. Saw tweets where they used tear gas?? A lot of misinformation on twister. There is a lot a lot of police downtown, has been last few nights. I pray Antifa is not in that mix. There are not shops to loot down there. If they go to various sections of town, that’s gonna be a mess and difficult to amass lots of cops in a timely manner. Houston is HUGE.
This is beyond disturbing. Before Ferguson, there were shootings in the STL area. Quite a number from time to time. But never anything on the level of last night. It was mostly confined to the city itself, but amazingly widespread and in places EVERYONE goes.
