The rabbit, Notchy, who dug the shelter under our Agave on Sunday, showed up this morning to dig a little more, stay for lunch and supper, and then leave, exactly the timing shown on Sunday.
I saw that rabbit earlier in the day with another rabbit at the front of the house. Cottontails normally don’t pair, but sometimes they do. Perhaps this is one of those times since a rabbit without a notched ear inhabited the shelter all day Monday.
It’s certainly not exciting, but kinda interesting having a very clear view into the shelter. Maybe there’ll be two in the shelter if they’re a pair . . . and maybe a shelter full of little bunnies later. It would be a sheltered and safe location, with food and water available . . . not bad for a litter of kits to start life in.

There are three kinds of people in the world. Those who care about nothing but “pro choice,” those who care about nothing but “pro life”, and the other 80 percent of the population who could live with first trimester abortions ONLY.
The first two classes of people really irritate the hell out of me (and yes I know the second group is people on “our side”–or at least they are until an otherwise perfect candidate turns out to be OK with some abortions).
Part of the problem that the activists on either side are missing is that technology is closing the lanes.
Jemarius Jachin Harbor Jr. was born at 21 weeks, 0 days in December, 2019. He has been released from the NICU in June and is now at home with his parents. That tells me that abortion after 20 weeks is prima facie murder — just like shoving contagious people into nursing homes.
If you get into the weeds, you can argue about conception, heartbeat, quickening, and all that — but let’s stick with the easiest possible case. Jemarius set a new mark at 21 weeks, 0 days. Pro-life activists should focus on linking the law to the facts……and then push the facts. If we saved a 20 week, 0 day preemie, the law should automatically slide to 19 weeks.
The pro-abortion eugenicists have already figured this out — that’s why Northam in Virginia is talking about abortion immediately pre-birth and killing “aborted” babies that somehow survive the “procedure”. When there are kids running around, playing tag, behaving like kids who are born at successively shorter gestations, abortions based on calendars become increasingly meaningless — and the activists have to give ground……or embrace their inner Moloch.
Although I can’t say this in TN, I would be ok with legal abortion at 8ish weeks or prior being legal. But after the little ones are left/right handed, choose to suck their thumb or not (the thumbsuckers in the womb tend to be thumbsuckers out of the womb), have their own finger prints and all body parts present …. personality emerging, choices, uniqueness …. too fullly physically human for me to say its ok to kill.
Do I believe life begins at conception? Yes.
However, reality intrudes … the culture, our society, creates people making choices leading to so many unwanted pregnancies … IDK
When does physical life begin for that little person, our smallest humans?
Even limiting to 12 weeks would go a long way and perhaps to 8-10 weeks for a healthy, viable pregnancy. 12 week old, tiny humans are so advanced as individuals … really just kind of startling! and beyond that abortion seems barbaric at older ages.

I follow this also…not so bad usually but with weakened magnetosphere we cop it a bit harder with any minor flare or coronal hole stream which I think is what hit us. Interesting times times I think with all going on to add a solar minimum let alone a grand solar minimum! Biblical times indeed!
Enjoying the sunshine at the moment with an awakening of the sun (Solar cycle 25) at the moment but has been a pretty overcast this year thanks to the extra cosmic rays delivered.
Have added extra solar panels to deal with. No choice as to being off grid/our choice to invest as necessary to negate. Loving the freedom to deal with whatever comes our way.

He has managed to take this giant, sprawling mess and distill it down to a very manageable and understandable summary.
Durham’s lead investigator William Aldenberg has been fully briefed, so whether he knew it all before or not, now he knows what We the People know and what is already in the public domain.
And that means Durham knows or should have been informed by Aldenberg, by Tuesday evening (the 18th).
And that means that if even if the AG is Chauncey Gardiner (not that I think he is), Bill Barr should know what the Public knows by tomorrow.
So now it’s all up to Barr, which it was always going to be.
I sure hope SD has more leverage planned, because unless ENOUGH of the public comes to an awareness of what has been (and still *is*) going on, the temptation will remain to simply ignore it, because I don’t believe they care WHAT we know, until public awareness reaches some critical mass, and it becomes impossible for them to ignore it.
Until it becomes impossible to ignore it, I suspect they will continue to ignore it.

I’m sure everyone here knows the tradition…it was supposedly to protect the female from the mud splashes and other nasties from the street traffic.

Street Departments were corrupted even back then. Potholes and non-draining gutters were common.
I spotted it, and it’s a good thought, but may be a little dated in today’s society.
When we walk down a city street, particularly at night, and particularly if there is no on-street parking, my wife often takes the curb, and I walk between her and the building, sometimes a step or two behind.
That way, if a bum or an anti-1stA thug leaps out from a hiding place along the side of the building, she is farther away, and thus has more reaction time, plus me as a shield. She is typically more situationally aware than I am, so the curbside position gives her a better sight angle to peer into the dark spaces behind corners, columns, etc.

I very briefly dated (as in once) a woman who just absolutely HAD to walk on my left side regardless of where the street was. It was like her ideal vision was “her man by her right side.” Problem is I’m deaf on that side, and I couldn’t hear her very well at all.
I have hearing impairment in my right ear. I like to be on the right of people. I get it. It’s hard to carry on a decent conversation when all you say is “what?”

My grandpa was deaf in one ear from some child hood disease. If he didn’t want to hear my grandma prattle, he’d lay on the side with his good ear down. Cracked me up.

In Medieval courtly society, the lady would always be on the gentleman’s right. Later, when opposite-sex friendships became a thing, if they were “just friends”,’ she would deliberately walk on his left, so that bystanders would not mistake their relationship for a romantic one. Twenty years ago, this custom was dying out in Mexico. Though everybody knew about it, the younger generation was already ignoring it. Don’t know about other parts of the Latin world.

Poly-America makes plastic film and trash bags. The company also recycles plastic. Apparently one of the largest of it’s kind.
The Grand Prairie Fire Department said the fire was caused by high-tension power lines falling into the plastic inventory.
Several railcars near the facility that reportedly contain flammable material have already caught fire. The fire is also threatening a nearby lumber yard and electrical towers.

Last paragraph is pretty much how it is in China right now. You have the “farmers” (anyone living outside cities) and the “urbanites”…and you cannot simply choose to move from one to the other. This sad story is as old as NAFTA.
Mickey Ray Williams keeps a Goodyear tire in his Gadsden, Alabama, conference room. Made in Mexico and imported to Gadsden, that tire induces fear.
It’s an Assurance All-Season tire. Those were developed at Goodyear’s Gadsden factory in 2014. Now some, or possibly all, are built in a brand-new, half-billion-dollar plant in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. And Goodyear is furloughing workers at its tire plant in Gadsden, where Williams is president of the United Steelworkers (USW) local union.
The workers took cuts when labor agreements were negotiated in 2006, 2009 and 2013. But Americans can’t compete with Mexican workers earning $2 to $6 an hour.
This sad story is as old as NAFTA. That’s a quarter-century of pain. An American corporation, GM or Nabisco or Carrier, builds a factory in Mexico. There, NAFTA will protect the company from tariffs when it imports the Mexican-made cars or Oreos or furnaces back into the United States. And in Mexico, the company can pollute freely, pay workers as little as $2 an hour, and establish company-controlled unions so workers can’t bargain for more. It’s a lose-lose for workers. American workers get fired; Mexican workers get exploited….
Hmmm. Now that NAFTA’s history, how will the perps deal with it?

Btw., something similar has happened in the glass container industry. Owens-Illinois (O-I) shut down their largest plant, Plant 20 in Oakland, CA, so they could consummate a deal to purchase a Mexican bottle factory, which, natch, is now making the bottles that Oakland used to… Tons of jobs lost, and one of the last large industries in Oakland, which is figuatively sinking into the Alameda Slough and the SF Bay…
NAFTA was bad for American workers.
NAFTA was BAD for Mexican Farmers too. they lost their livelihoods. It was a lose-lose for workers on BOTH SIDES and a win for the corporations.

In a criminal hearing before federal Judge James Boasberg, former FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith just informed the court that he pleads guilty to the charge of doctoring evidence included in the FISA warrant against Carter Page.
The judge has not yet accepted the plea.

I tried again and he just walked away after saying OH…. He has a couple of direct payments and it is TOO HARD to move them he says.

We have something like 60 or more tires on this place, many (30 or more) we change ever year or so at $200 to over $500 a tire we spend a lot on tires in a normal year. I am sure there are a heck of a lot of other small business people or farmers with Tractors, trucks and trailers too. Farm tractor tires are going up to $800 or more a tire. Luckily they last although we just had to replace two this summer.

My parents were on a cruise excursion around that part of the VIs (and they didn’t go to St. John when I expressly told them that was the gem to see), and their guide pointed out pedo island and said that Jeffrey Epstein was not allowed on any other one, and that Bill Clinton was there all the time.
Amazing how that’s helped my red pill my mom to an extent.

Being a submarine pilot is a huge benefit if you happen to be in a submarine. Especially if nobody else knows how to drive it.
Probably means the difference between ever getting out of the submarine again, or not.
Could probably say the same about being a helicopter pilot… in a helicopter… 😂
