Judgment vs. Judgement
We have two different spellings of Judgment/Judgement…and both are correct.
Whichever spelling you use, ‘Judgment’ or ‘Judgement’ is a noun which means… a cognitive function that arrives at a conclusion; opinions expressed as facts; a legal decision, made by a judge & jury in a court of law.
Both words are used interchangeably. It is said that ‘judgement’ is the US spelling for the word ‘judgment’…but both spellings are used in the UK, as well.

Is Mr. Wheatie still running the chainsaw? You may want to invest in a new chain and send the old one out for sharpening. There is a marked tendency for guys to “make do” with less and less useful blades until they end up essentially shoving the blade through material through sheer willpower and muscle strength. Blades should go through the target “like butter”.
Guys are even more likely to do this “in an emergency”, when they need to be always cutting. But that’s precisely when a 30% reduction in efficiency just kills you. If you took 10 minutes to change the chain, and it saved you 30% effort on each cut, the effort will have paid for itself over eight times in a single day. And it’s not like you throw away the old chain — you can send it out to be resharpened. It’s just not the one on the saw that’s busily buzzing away.

The debris is mostly soft wood; Elm and Maple.
No hardwoods to deal with.
So the cutting is ‘like butter’ for the most part.
Having a second blade on hand — you got a smart one. Never mind.
OTOH, maple is not usually considered a softer wood. The Janka hardness of maple can be 1450, which can be compared against Northern red oak’s hardness of 1290. Elm is typically around 830. (That of course is for properly-dried select wood — random fallen wet wood should come in much lower.)

You’d have to live someplace pretty exotic to have harder hardwoods on your property. I suspect that Padauk and Sepele, Moabi, Wenge, and Lapacho probably don’t grow well in Oklahoma.
The maple trees around here are a fast-growing ornamental variety.
Planted for their shade, they are heat & drought resistant.
Kind of an escaped, invasive species, really.
They proliferate via their little winged seeds…which get everywhere.
If you don’t pull up the seedlings, then in a few years, you’ve got a big shade tree.
Their wood is pretty soft though…and prone to breakage in storms.
With iron bark we always have a few sharp when we need to cut wood. They blunt fast
There are freakishly hard woods out there that make ash, oak, maple, cherry, and even hickory look like pine…..but they’re generally found in Australia, Africa, Australia, South America, Australia, tropical Asia, and Australia. It’s no great surprise that you’d keep a couple of spare chains in Australia.

That area is pretty depressing, you can just feel it when you drive through that area. Also with Cornell university in Ithaca at the end of Cayuga Lake you truly have a leftist stronghold. Lots of multimillionaire homes on Canandaigua, Seneca, Keuka, and Cayuga lakes. Lot’s of haves and have’s not in the region. The economy in that part of NY is in real trouble, industries are gone thanks to the Democratic control from Albany. They pretty much relie on tourist know. Hard to believe it’s the day I go cast my vote.
I’ve got mine signed and sealed — and I’m also carrying the Fiancee’s. There’s some extra dealio involving the flap in such cases, but it’s ready.
Our county has about a hundred official drops — city halls, libraries, county buildings, and the like. I’m planning on taking mine to the Santa Clara City Hall. There are too many to hope to influence the vote by systematically modifying one; but too few to just dump GIGO into the system without it being noticed (I hope). If there’s any hanky-panky, I’d expect it in the mail or in the count. If it’s the count, then everyone in the county will be disenfranchised in favor of the bureaucrats counting, but there’s no easy way around it.
I’m heading for City Hall around 2:00. If they’re going to count mine honestly and rig-up some vote fraud, I want them to at least experience a sleepless night.
Planning to vote in person. If I cannot, I will fill out the ballot and drop it off.

I thought I recognized the location, and the properties of the image confirmed it. It’s on the grounds of The Hermitage, near Nashville, TN. Andrew Jackson and his beloved wife Rachel lie there, in a back corner of Rachel’s garden.

Nevertheless, returned ballots from a party registrant will by some proportion favor THAT PARTY.

Since the Left is going to lie, cheat and steal anyway, why not have have the Secretary of State of each red state (and any so-called swing state willing to participate) certify their election results on national television, while the WH keeps an electoral map and tally on live TV.
Early in the evening, all of the red states will have voted and been certified, and most of the swing states. That should be enough for Trump to declare victory no matter how the intransigent blue states turn out.
That would completely circumvent the MSM and the games they play every election, and it would render whatever games the blue state governors intend to play irrelevant.
The blue states can hold back certification of their vote totals until whenever, it won’t matter, because DJT will already have enough electoral votes for victory.

It would only require a very small portion of our Navy to effectively surround and blockade anything (or anyone) going into or out of Japan, for as long as it would have taken.
It’s the same thing we should have done for island battles like Iwo Jima. I wouldn’t have wasted a single American soldier’s life attacking islands with entrenched Japanese determined to fight to the death.
I would have simply left three or four small ships to circle the island, cutting off any resupply, and starve them out, while the rest of the Navy moves on to the next objective.
Even if they find a way to grow food to survive, they are trapped on an island, no longer relevant to the field of battle.
In some cases, though, we actually did need the island as a forward base, we couldn’t just encyst it and move on.
In general the problem I see with your suggestion is that we have to task warships to keep up the blockade, and we needed those warships further forward.

Actually I have an amusing tale from last night.
We were doing a gig in Durham. Unicorns for a Black family. The yard was small and a bit soggy (standing water in places) so we were tippy toeing along the neighbors driveway were the ground was a bit more solid and then out into the road and back down along the driveway of the party.
First the neighbor timidly pulls into the driveway.

The vast majority of those new voters are supposed to come from those between the ages of 18-29 and 30-39.
Let’s take a look at the data from 2016’s election. Pew does a really good job post election to determine who
4) voted by age group, ethnicity, income level etc.
Here is the current total vote count by age groups:
The youth vote 18-29 (Biden’s best group) is currently sitting at 12%.
The 30-39 year olds are at 13% (Biden’s 2nd best group).
5) The 50-64 year olds (Trumps best group) are at 28% while the 65+ ( Trump’s 2nd best group) are at 32%.
The one group I am not accounting for (40-49 year olds will break for PDJT over Biden / they are at 14%)
In 2016 the youth vote was 13% (+0) and the 30-39 was ~15%

Well the last minute panicked OH SHIT WE HAVE TO STOP LYING poll shift has begun!
RCP’s “no tossups” map moved FOUR STATES from Biden to Trump sometime between yesterday and today, they’re calling it 319-219 Biden which is as narrow (i.e., as un-ridiculous) as it has been since March.
Their “betting odds” are 64-35 in favor of Biden.
A couple of interesting things here. Hitlary was WAY higher than this in betting odds even though they showed her only eking out a victory on election day 2016.

Each state knows the number of REGISTERED voters they have…
All one has to do is count the total EVs (which most already have, if done on machine, they are already totaled) add to the Total number of votes at end of day tomorrow, add paper absentee ballot totals and

They could easily tell by end of day Wednesday if total number of votes Trump has in each state could be exceeded.

The Justice Department today announced its plans for voting rights monitoring in jurisdictions around the country for the Nov. 3, 2020 general election. The Justice Department historically has monitored in jurisdictions in the field on election day, and is again doing so this year. The department will also take complaints from the public nationwide regarding possible violations of the federal voting rights laws through its call center.
“Federal law entrusts the Civil Rights Division with protecting the right to vote for all Americans,” said Eric S. Dreiband, Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division. “Our federal laws protect the right of all American citizens to vote without suffering discrimination, intimidation, and harassment. I have to relate a story from my salon visit last week. I’m sitting in the chair while the color percolates, and struck up a conversation with the other woman in the room – Trump supporter. She told me a story about Donald Trump from years ago. She was waiting in a crowd to get into a concert at the Taj in Atlantic City, and Trump walks into the lobby. He must have been between wives because he was not with Marla. No media was present. Everyone was excited and loud, and there was a young man with Down syndrome calling out to him. It would obviously have been very easy, with all the noise, for DJT to ignore this kid. To act like he didn’t hear him. But he went right to where this young man was standing, talked and signed an autograph – in other words he made that kid’s day. And this woman in the salon remembered it, 25+ years later. Trump loves people, he’s a mensch.

Update 2100ET): Police in Vienna have finished their late-night press conference offering more definitive details from Monday’s shooting.
Police confirmed that 2 civilians died, along with one attacker, who was killed. 15 others were wounded, seven critically. At least one police officer was wounded. The number of attackers wasn’t immediately clear.

DO NOT get off the voting line tomorrow, no matter what. I don’t care who calls a state, you must vote regardless. God only knows how many Florida GOP votes were lost in 2000 when the media jokers “called” FL for Gore before the polls closed. Don’t leave the line. No matter what.

If you listen to the Political Trade (you can find it on YouTube), Cahaly of Trafalgar said Colorado might be the surprise of the night in terms of tightest margin (didn’t say Trump would win it).
Moved here six years ago. Hoping to retire here. But, they expecting 3 million more imports mostly voting wrong. Crying shame.

Right now, the Left is planning to hold the line and BS / cheat their way through it. But each petty / cheating / BS maneuver exposes them just a little more — puts them that much further over the line and into the sunlight.
And in some random state, some state functionary or media outlet (BIRM) is going to realize that no amount of BS or cheating is going to drag Biden over the line in that region — but every extra cheat from here increases their potential exposure — and chance of consequences. So they’ll knock it off. That’s stage one.
The next stage, stage two, will be when they realize they are surrounded by all this apparatus for lies and cheats, and — since they aren’t going to use it — they better move it far away from themselves. We’ll get a bunch of website revisions and the internet censors will be working 18-hour days. Stage two is a retreat.
When they realize that all the behavior they’ve been engaged-in over the last year is potentially criminal and they may actually be held accountable, we’ll see outright panic. Stage three is when it becomes a rout.
It’s going to start in scattered places at stage one. There will be places falling into stage two while others have yet to enter stage one. But stage three is contagious. There will be places going from “business-as-usual” directly into panic without engaging in stage one or two.
The Dems actually think they can brazen this out.
A random thought — is the whole anti-smoking campaign because our governing class is afraid of pitchforks and torches, and they figured that a population without lighters couldn’t light the torches?
