Beyond that, nobody had to annually report what they had done the previous year to the government to be assessed on it. Income taxes are evil in so many ways — not just in efficiently picking our pockets, but also in loss of privacy.

Then, again……VAT is worse.
The overall theory of a VAT tax (which are normally compared to sales taxes, but no they are NOT….) is that you are taxed on the Value Added. So if you buy a widget at $70 and another widget at $30, and sell them stuck together at $100, you would pay no tax. If you bought a widget at $1 and sold it for $1000, you’d pay tax on $999.
The way this works in practice is that you have a *shrugs* 20% VAT tax. When you sell something for $100, you collect $120 from the consumer for your widget. Then you have to go into all the components of your widget and claim back all the 20% tax you paid to stick the parts in your warehouse — because you can’t buy things without VAT if you intend to resell them, like you can with sales tax.
That means that VAT tax audits not only look into all of your sales and purchases, but also your bills of materials and processes. And, mind you, you are guilty until proven innocent throughout the administrative state.
And going back to the original paragraph, if you buy a widget at $70, you’ll stick $70 of widget in your warehouse along with $14 of VAT tax; if you buy a widget at $30, you stick $30 of widget in your warehouse along with $6 of VAT tax. When (and if) you sell the munged widget for $100 and $20 of VAT, you are only recouping what you have already lost. Everyone back to the poor damned bastard who shoveled coal off a seam has been lending the government money at 0% interest until he could offload it onto some other unfortunate.
That is one tricky technical piece of sculpting there, to remain (mostly) balanced on its base. And a very artistic piece to have it tell a story.
If you are ever this way, the Garden is most definitely one of the top five places I would recommend visiting. That’s just one of the sculptures worth seeing let alone the flowers. 72 acres of land which has never been developed other than what it is now. The city grew up around it. It was Henry Shaw’s country estate in the mid 19th century. We laugh about it now, but most of the city was still farmland when the Civil War hit.
As I mentioned, I’d probably prioritize my weirder fixations with the place — the Rosebud Cafe and Scott Joplin. But you are making the rest seem very attractive.
Cathedral Basilica, the Brewery, the Arch if you’re not claustrophobic, and the Old Courthouse would round out the list. It would take two days to get through just that.
And then…there’s more.
You’d previously mentioned the Cathedral with all its mosaics. The Arch seems too touristy. The Brewery? I’ve brewed my own beer and seen various microbreweries and breweries up to the Busch brewery in Van Nuys — which had a monorail ride that went through it. The Garden sounds lovely.

I used to be in the choir. Outside of Rome, there is nothing like it. I mean nothing. And, as one person involved with Archdiocesan music put it, the sound of eternity is built in. 7-10 second delay depending on where you are sitting.
The Arch…it’s not as touristy as you might think. There’s really not much around it. The trip to the top is about five minutes, and it’s a tight fit, but the view from up there is really cool.
The Brewery tour is a walking sort of thing. It’s like being in Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. The Brew House alone is worth seeing. It’s six stories high with the mashers at the top. The brew works its way down as its cooked. And then there’s the Clydesdale stable with the Tiffany windows. (We have a lot of Tiffany windows in this town. He lived here for a while.)
IDK that I’ve ever been to the Scott Joplin House.

The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens

The Huntington is awesome, but most people don’t “get it” to the extent one can. You can do a day just looking at it from its use in movies and TV shows. The cactus collection is superb, but you kind of need a botanist explainer….
To go up a few notches, you can look at Kew Gardens near London — https://www.kew.org/ — it is just thorough. As an example, there are five species of bird-of-paradise flower. At Kew, you can see them all in about 20 minutes.
If you want a slightly smaller version than the Huntington, but from the same inspiration, you can head north to Montecito and visit Lotusland — https://www.lotusland.org/ . When you take the tour, you can count how many times they say, “the only other example is at Kew” or “the only other example is at the Huntington.”
The California Botanic Garden at Claremont is quite something and will increase your awareness of your surroundings wherever you go in California — https://www.calbg.org/ .
And, then, there’s the first frivolous and fun one…..Disneyland! Disney’s landscape department is well-furnished enough to hybridize their own variety of roses. And one night when we were there on a multi-day pass, they did something that completely blew my mind. When we went back into the park for day 3, I could tell something was odd….and it bothered me. And worried on my attention, until I went back and looked, then confirmed it at City Hall. There are something like five large trees in the center of Town Square…..and Disney landscaping had changed them overnight — to entirely different trees. And had it all cleaned up so well that they could pretend nothing untoward had happened the next morning.
And, finally, the second — which is fun, but is not as frivolous as the previous. The San Diego Zoo essentially coexists with a botanic garden, but nobody ever talks about the garden.
On one of my trips to Kew, I was tickled beyond belief when I found — with plaque and species identification — a California poppy.
Mind you, they grow like weeds around here, but are notoriously difficult to transplant, so someone probably had to plant it there.
My husband always wanted to do a garden tour through the UK. We visited the botanical garden in London.
San diego zoo has been undergoing expansion and remodel for a couple years…and there is a separate botanical garden somewhere down there.

I looked over at Huntingtons website. Bc they are technically in LA…even though Pasadena is slightly better.. .they are draconian and 😠 and a bit hostile towards guests right now. Even stating if you have a medical exemption you must wear a mask….to walk around on 140 acres of land.

When we lived in St. Louise we visited the Zoo , Botanical Garden , the Science Museum in rotation almost every Sunday. My kids loved it and the love for gardens, animals and science stuck with them. The Arch non really cared for even though we did that one time.
My one son have one summer a job at the botanical garden and sorted moss from around the world. He could not believe he got paid for it 🙂

Alternatively, you could configure your email client to segregate any such odd emails and delete them in bulk……if one had that level of control over one’s email client….

Well…it was really a “sleepy azalea park” until Dr. Peter Raven was the director. Mrs. McDonnell put up the big cash for the Japanese Garden, and they’ve done continuous improvements ever since. Right now, a new entrance is being built.
Fascinating, DP – Well – I for one – am thankful they came back in a flash with the cash – What a glorious accomplishment for all to enjoy – and a compliment to God’s Creation!!!

I’m about ten minutes in, and a few things come to mind.
The Durham connection, IMO, is a bit of a stretch. IDK that you can make that comparison with a modern cargo ship.
Yes, it’s Passover, and the Red Sea is involved…I’ll leave that for the history books. There’s a dry lakebed that was once the Reed Sea, and would have been a more probable place for the passage. We’ll probably argue about that for a while.
As for the ship and the figure it drew before it was run aground, according to a different source, it was the white hats who did that in a direct message to the Rockefellers who essentially run China. It was not male genitalia, but flipping a bird. This, apparently, was taken as an act of war – the ship being run aground – by China, so the satellite that was shot down was actually ours. At first, I doubted that, but Emeraldstar chimed in with some info from other anons that claims there was a high level US-China meeting in Alaska last week, and it didn’t go well. Over the weekend, a wealthy black hat from the Czech Republic died in a helicopter crash in Alaska. Put that up against POTUS being MIA last Wednesday and Thursday, and MilSpecOpsMonkey NOT posting air traffic updates on those two days, and one suspicious cat could be cued pretty easily.
As for offloading the ship…Egypt being involved changed the game. All of a sudden the thing was free and being taken to a holding place for inspection.
We’ll see where we go from here. But, it’s on, I have no doubt of that.

The trick to figuring out what is happening is to have a variety of sources and put together the scenario that makes the most sense against known facts.
We’re going to take hits. We can’t assume that everything that happens is our side striking the other side.

Very true, DP – each person adds another piece to the puzzle – however – Q has taught us well – and given us insight we did not have oh so many years ago.
Just an FYI on ships, power plants etc and automation. I know everyone believes someone can just remote in and take control of stuff. But the operators of the stuff do have the ability to “stick shift” the equipment. So when a ship is going through an operation like mooring, in restricted maneuvering (suez canal) their operators are in place in case there are issues with the steering, engines, power etc.
I agree – especially for BIG vessels, whether commercial or military.
When electronic systems fail, one reverts to electrical systems.
When electrical systems fail, on reverts to mechanical systems.
This, though, assumes competence – and willingness – from the captain all the way down to the crew.
It also assumes that the mechanicals are 100% “un-hackable”, whether indirectly or directly (on-board sabotage / bad maintenance)
And many times people cut corners, and/or have ulterior motives. It’s difficult for me to imagine that the captain “drew” that middle finger.
Didn’t know until recently your background – I hope my back-of-the-envelope analysis is valid, and sound, according to your first-hand experience.
When it comes to ships, mechanical failure and human error probably make the top two failure points. Agree on the Capt. Getting assigned that ship is like the pinnacle of their carrier.
The big weak spot of the manual back up systems is the operators do not practice using them enough.

Vaccine passports are a good idea. Among other things, it will single out the still large contingent of people who refuse vaccines, who will be foreclosed from doing a lot of things their peers can do. That should help break the resistance down.

There’s been a couple turns of a kind of spiral already.
Lockdowns, vaccinations, then when everything started to lighten up a bit, a couple new mutants appeared, and oh noes! what to do!
Next turn:
Lockdown again, and more masking, and now maybe open up in May, then nah, maybe open up in September when enough people have been vaccinated. Presuming of course that another mutant (call the variants of the virus «mutants» to make them sound scarier) doesn’t appear in the meantime, for the third round of lockdowns.
This cyclical combination of purity spiral and whack-a-mole has no visible end state as such. Seeing as vaccinations or having had the corona both are insufficient to guarantee no further infections, this won’t stop the cycle by itself. And new mutants (yep scary!) will appear as is the coronaviruses wont.
Then there is the halfhearted promise that if just enough people get the vaccines and get the documentation of such, (PAPIEREN BITTE!) society can be opened up again. In May, no, can’t be until August, no December…. Except that there still has to be masks and separation and limits to congregations and parties and limits and limits and on and on… Lest the next mutant (BOOH!) come and hit you.
Which there is no guarantee whatever that won’t happen, so once it does happen, here goes: another lockdown and another round of whack-a-mole.
But as what can’t go on won’t go on forever, something else will happen. Each round of lockdowns causes the ends of businesses and puts more people out of work. Eventually the economy hits stall speed, and all bets are off.
It is all political, as the way to put an end to this is early intervention and reinforcing of the body’s immune system. This has been known almost from the beginning, back in early 2020 — prevention with vitamins and minerals (zinc, magnesium, selenium, etc) and the hydrochloroquine+zinc combination that blocks the virus from attack so the body’s ordinary processes can flush it out.
But there is no big money in this so TPTB have been downplaying and prohibiting «non-approved» uses, while the experimental vaccines that no-one knows the long-term effects of are going at flank speed.
Yes very true all that you shared. There was some some scientific person I read who explained that generally the viral mutants are safer than what they mutate from. The more virulent forms of a virus kill off the hosts more quickly so diminish viral spread. Less lethal forms can infect way more people & perpetuate viral activity. So the mutations are likely Less Dangerous, at least to those w/ natural immunity & antibodies from more lethal forms.
My family caught CV about 6 months ago & we had less issues than people like Wolf had who had it a year+ ago, iirc. My husband & kids were each sick about a week, where I was more like 2 weeks (I have more health issues). For all of us it was like a nasty flu. Now our only lingering effects are wonky senses of smell…no lingering breathing concerns.
This kind of rhetoric is devoid of logic and reality, but is a useful slogan to impose tyranny.
I wish the world would hold Fauci and CCP reponsible for the virus. The CCP should not be allowed to travel outside China until they were in a reeducation camp so they are fit for humanity.

The bolder among them might even use the fact that you called them to argue that the dems are non-responsive to their constituents.
I’m in the opposite situation, GOP reps, Democommunist trifecta. Here, it probably IS futile.

Interestingly, when Next Generation came out with its character named, er, Q, there was speculation that Trelane might have been of the same species. I don’t know if this ever became established canon or not.

It is very interesting That NASA docs show that the shape of the earth was not known in 1948. They have patents that work based on a flat earth concept, because that is what they believed it was. In 1961 documents they still have missile patents that work relative to a flat non rotating earth. In June 1971 in documents, they still had idealized assumptions based on a flat nonrotating earth. I thought they told us that we went to the moon in 1969? And even in 1978!

The earth is so big compared to aircraft that it can simplify the math greatly (while only being wrong one part in a billion) to write your models as if the earth were flat.
If, for instance, you wanted full rigor in modelling the force of gravity on an airplane, you’d have to assume that gravity doesn’t “point” in the same direction over the entire span of the aircraft, because down at any place on a spheroid isn’t parallel to down anywhere else on the same spheroid.
If the plane has a 200 foot wingspan, in fact, “down” at one wingtip is going to be “off” from “down” at the other wingtip by 1/100,000 of a radian or 0.00057 degrees, or about 2 arcseconds. So gravity would impose a compressive force across the entire wingspan of about 1/10,000 of a g. That’s absolutely trivial compared to gravity pulling down, air turbulence, light breezes, etc, and can be ignored. So they do.
Remember that computers back then were extremely primitive; certainly anything that could fit on an airplane was. Rather than taxing a model with all that extra precision which will give a result less than roundoff error (and less than modeling the effects of small dents in the fuselage–which they also don’t do), they approximated them away. Which is entirely appropriate.

The funny thing is, just last night I watched a video about flat-eartherism, which got down to the philosophical roots of it.
Apparently, a cardinal point of FEism is to refuse to believe anything you can’t see with your own senses.
However, absolutely everything we know comes through our own senses, including anything we choose to believe reported to us by others–because we hear/read the report with our own senses.
Taken to its logical conclusion, they would be unable to believe ANYTHING that isn’t first-hand verified by them…and if you think about it, they should be unwilling to trust that what’s in a can of soup is edible. They didn’t see it being made, after all.

I don’t understand Adams’ comment that “Market competition and transparency will work for this situation.” I don’t know that there is transparency, and I don’t see how competition among vaccine manufacturers enters into it when there have been problems with all of them. If you have problems or die from one manufacturer’s vaccine, it’s not like you can go out and try a different one. Adams is being incredibly trusting about this.

By the way the university in town has a law suit against them from a Professor. His student took him to court about 3 years ago because the Philosopher professor refused to call him by his selected pronoun.
The University reprimanded the professor and put it in his file. The Union and professor took the University to court for 800 million dollars. This is a State school.
A three court Judge said the case needs to be heard and is going forward with it and also said the student was not harmed since he earn a very good grade from the professor.
We know the professor very well and he refuses to call students July when in reality they are John. I think this is an important case with much implications.
He is confusing “experience” with “expert” not the only thing he is confused about!

I saw it yesterday and it was good. It used to be children learned consequences and responsibility at home. By the time they got to school they had an idea what was expected of them. We are seeing now when people do not know how to parent what happens to children and young adults.
Unfortunately, true, Sing – Parents are the first teachers – when they drop their children off at school – they relinquish their rights as parents – give permission to another person.
Reason why homeschooling makes more sense to me – you have control over what your children learn.
My daughter was out with her brood the other day. An older woman approached her and began complimenting her on how well behaved, etc. Then the Question:
Why aren’t they in school?
My daughter: We homeschool them.
Old woman: Don’t you want a break?
My daughter: I love spending time with my children.

When kids are well behaved it is wonderful to spend time with them.
I enjoyed every minuted with mine.
My neighbor had an unruly child at the time the age of mine. I tuck the kid in for 2 weeks while mom was in the hospital. My husband thought I was nuts. I told the kid the rules of the house and that I expected the same of him as my kids. He was wonderful to have around until his father came over for dinner the kid turnend into an uncontrolled little monster. Was so happy when dad left.
Yeah, that tells me the kid was into meeting expectations…but never exceeding them. 😀
When one is fair with kids and explains what is expected they live up to it. Parents also have obligations by fulfilling promises and love them unconditional. I have a gift with children and animals and am able to bring the best out of them.
“Fulfilling promises” most definitely cuts both ways. Not just the positive ones (“we’ll go to the park”) but the negative ones (“you’re gong to get punished”). Of course both must be given in the first place only when appropriate.
Congratulations, though…I believe it’s just as well I never had kids. I wouldn’t have had the patience, and my nephew was unbelievably trying. I think he basically made both his aunts and uncles swear off any notion of having kids.
Believe me if I had my last child first I only would have had one 🙂
The first two were so easy and the last one hyper and took a lot of energy all the way through getting his Phd. I was so happy when he got married at 45 and he wife took over 🙂
I used to go into my bedroom to calm down when he did things he was not supposed too. The good thing was he is honest and cannot lie. Honesty was reworded in my home.
My daughter did not want children and at 34 guess what? She wanted to drop the kid off at my house and pick her up at 18. She and her husband did a fables job with the girl who will be 18 in 2 months.

There’s a LOT more to raising humans, though, than keeping them fed and physically healthy, and lizards can’t set fire to the carpet except by freak accident.

I’d first have to get through the years before…about 10 without killing the kid or myself.
Before 10 is easy when they get to be teenagers one needs to have a 6st sense to keep them safe. Today the way the climate is I am glad my kids are middle age and all supporting themselves. I would not want to raise kids in today’s environment. The parents today that help their kids survive and kids turn out are heroes in my eyes.
I guess it depends on the individual.
Some people enjoy the very young infant stage, so when their kid gets to be about 3…they want another kid. If it;s strong enough they may even neglect the no longer interesting kids to some degree (not give them the attention they need). Someone like that might make an excellent daycare employee.

You know yourself best 🙂 My husband was that way he did not interact with the kids until they were 3 up. Never changed a diaper or fed them and it took him 9 months to hold our daughter. He was fantastic when they were older taught them how to navigate and find anything in a library and taught them how to use the dictionary. By the time they were in second grade he had to take books out of the library for adults. Specially history and archeology. They all love to read and learn.

I basically got rid of the lobotomy content (except for Star Trek) in the mid 90s and when re-exposed to “network TV” sitcoms just a few years later was stunned by how crude they had become. Literally every other joke was a double entendre.

I read a fictionalized account of Wyoming completely ditching public schools. They gave a year’s warning. Private schools moved in and hired most of the teachers, but few of the administrators. Some teachers were hated by everyone (students, parents, you name it) and ended up unemployed.
Another fictionalized story I read was of a school being converted to a private school; the assistant principal dug in his heels resisting the change, but then broke down in front of the new owners and said “all I ever wanted to do was teach kids” He was miserable as an administrator, and he was piss poor at it. They gave him a teaching job with only a small cut in pay; everyone was happy–he WAS a good teacher and had been ruined by the promotion.

Not necessarily. In the German army for example they recognize that a LT in the field maybe a great leader. But behind the desk as a paper pusher he sucked. So they gave them the option to stay at that level and do what they do best.
In the US Military you are expected to advance through different jobs, positions to achieve the next rank. So the one’s that rise to the top are typically the ass kissing politician types. The really good leaders typically don’t survive the PC mine field that is the upper ranks.
And that’s just one thing that sucks about how the US military is run…the constant pressure to be promoted or pushed out.
I am a bit suspicious of other things, too like mandating certain levels of college education to make certain ranks. I went to a grad school full of military who could have cared less but just wanted to check the box. They’d get annoyed if there were any challenging content in the classes.
I also wonder about putting people with no real experience as enlisted into the officer ranks. It’s not so bad when it’s the academies, but in some cases you become an officer just for having a degree when you join. That just seems wrong; you become senior to guys with a thousand times your level of experience with matters military.

It’s one of those “should be true” things that isn’t.
I went to look it up…and maybe it’s not as wrong as I thought it was.
They do have *many* words for snow, since they basically build words up with prefixes and suffixes, a LOT more than most languages. (It’s considered a “synthetic” language, not meaning “unreal” but rather that it synthesizes words.) In most cases we wouldn’t, in English, have made separate words. Some of their words correspond to phrases and even sentences; but since they routinely build things up like this, snow is nothing special. There’s probably that many words for “meat” too.
Analogy: it would be like us making up compound words for whitecar and redcar, and saying they’re separate words. Well, yes, technically they would be, but they aren’t SO different an English-learner would have to look them up in a dictionary. Like “snow” versus “slush.”
I found a site that has some examples.
qanuk – snowflake
qanikcaq — snow on the ground (this seems to me with my parochial english-speaking outlook more like combining two parts of speech into one word–we’d think of it as a phrase).
muraneq – soft, deep snow. (A legit word.)
nutaryuk – fresh snow.
qengaruk — snow bank.
and so on.
So I (mostly) have to walk this back…but it’s more complicated than 50 words as we in English think of them.
Oh, but here’s one that IS English, or at least a suggested word for English:
fenderberg: The big chunk of dirty ice that forms in your car’s wheel well (and eventually drops off, leaving a big chunk of dirty ice in the road).

Today, they’re continuing to go down. Gold is below $1700 at $1684.20 and silver is at $24.05, both are significant losses since Saturday.
Platinum is down to $1159. Palladium is UP, however, today, to $2638 (which is still less than it was on Saturday). Rhodium is unchanged since Saturday at $25,000 (bring your wheelbarrow full of cash).

Can you stand the strain of a quick question about coins? I inherited a bunch of Kennedy half-dollars. After some reading online, I don’t believe they’re worth anything more than face value. No silver, no mint marks, no weird abnormalties that would interest a collector. Beyond keeping a few for personal momentos, what, in your opinion, would be the best way to dispose of them? I hate using the word “dispose” here, but I can’t hold on to them forever. I’m thinking of just taking them to a bank.
Sorry to impose, but I don’t know who else to ask, and I’m not sure I’d trust advice from anyone else on the subject of coins.

If they’re truly post-1970 coins (and mintmarks, by the way aren’t necessarily anything special), spend ’em, or give them to kids in your family as presents.
Dropping one of these in front of a youngster working at fast food or other retail might start a conversation. (He’s likely to mistake it for a dollar, too, so it’s a cheap test of your character.)
Pre-COVID, I used to buy half dollars from a coin dealer (one without a storefront) at face value, and spend them slowly. I haven’t seen him over a year thanks to the covidschina.

For the most part. Thanks for asking. She’s had a few bouts of the tingling or numbness since coming home. There are no signs of speech issues unless she attempts to talk when it is happening. I’ve suggested they periodically check to see if she’s having speech probs, like every half hour, but I’m not sure if they are doing that.
I was to stay with her a few hours Wednesday while Dad ran some errands but his event was cancelled. They plan to attend their church in person on Easter, about an hour away, & then visit w/ a friend my dad mentors after. Hopefully she won’t be too fatigued & will get a boost seeing friends. They’ve been going there for 40+ years.
A pseudo extended family Easter gathering will have to wait. 2 of our sons are out of town this weekend for a Bachelor Party weekend (our one son is the Best Man). My brother’s family isn’t available either so hopefully we can find a time that works for most of us.

Good point. If were going to allow trans people on woman’s team why can’t the woman’s Olympic teams be made to compete against the men’s Olympic teams and just send the winner to the Olympics. Makes as good of sense as allowing men to compete on women’s teams. How long will it take for woman’s teams to be infiltrated with more men? When will enough be enough? Will we have to set up a quota’s so biologically born woman can remain on the women teams?
I am a woman and am coming around to a whole new appreciation for trans “women” playing women’s sports.

Not sure if this was posted yet, but Matt Gaetz is claiming that he’s a victim of a criminal extortion scheme involving a former DOJ person.
Sounds like Rosenstein. That guy is dirty as hell, IMO.
There is a LOT of bad stuff going on right now.
That is no joke. There is an undercurrent of real criminal behavior that we don’t see, but feel.
One of the real possibilities with the Gaetz stuff is that Dodge & Fib are basically running both sides of that operation, with the “former” guy in total cahoots with the agents who are responding, and that there is some game afoot.
These spy games are enormously complicated, and IMO the goal is often to simply anticipate that the target will move through the gauntlet carefully, touching none of the walls, and never realizing what the goal of it all actually was, that goal having little to do with the purported attack and defense.
In the end, though, I suspect the deepest game has little to do with this world or any like it, and that God, greedy to save, is up to some loving trick. My grandest conspiracy theory! 😃

I tell people, I have personally experienced stuff that I cannot actually describe on here without (1) people not believing me, and (2) possibly hurting the good guys.
What sucks is not really knowing which way “we” want it to go – drip faster to a stream to awaken, or drip slower to a closed and then disappearing faucet, to save it for another day.
The only thing that I am certain to talk about is “MK murders”. That is clearly ABUSE OF THE TECH and deserves to be outed.
I have only revealed any specific details of older MK tech. The new stuff is basically unbelievable. I can only guess how it works.
So you don’t mind me sharing these tidbits when I run across them then? I cannot vouch for any of it nor do I (that I am aware of) have any experience w/ any side of it…

Yeah, I do NOT get that move.
One article I read stated that the number of clotting incidents (I think something like 37) was not out of line with the number of vaccinations for a safe vaccine.
If that’s the case, that makes me wonder – are there dozens of clotting incidents due to flu vaccines every year?
Interesting.
I do wonder how many are women who have the clotting problem? Then I wonder the birth control pill can also create a clotting problem.
If women have more a clotting problem than men if there is a connection for women who take the pill?
Just thinking out of the box here.

Here is my reasoning to the solution…..
Remember how I’ve been likening the spike protein to snake venom? Snake venoms are also proteins, with the main category (hemotoxic) having hematological and cardiovascular effects.
Spike protein-based vaccinations ARE thus totally analogous to snake expert Bill Haast’s self-experiments on building up resistance to snake venom by basically vaccinating himself with it. Totally analogous. He concentrated on NEUROTOXIC venoms (cobras, kraits, mambas), but those are also proteins, and it works the same way.
NOW – back to the AZ vaccine – they actually know what is going on with the AstraZeneca vaccines:

In the tumultuous rollout of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine, all eyes this week were on the United States, where the company had a highly public communication breakdown over the vaccine’s efficacy with an expert panel overseeing a large study in the Americas. But on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, the vaccine faces new concerns about safety as an explanation gains ground for the unusual strokes and clotting disorders recorded in at least 30 recipients.
Many European countries suspended use of AstraZeneca’s vaccine earlier this month following initial reports of the symptoms, which have led to at least 15 deaths. Most resumed vaccinations after the European Medicines Agency (EMA) recommended doing so on 18 March, saying the benefits of the vaccine outweigh any risks. EMA is continuing to investigate the matter and will convene a wide-ranging committee of experts on 29 March.
Now, a group of researchers led by German clotting specialist Andreas Greinacher of the University of Greifswald says the highly unusual combination of symptoms—widespread blood clots and a low platelet count, sometimes with bleeding—resembles a rare side effect of the blood thinner heparin called heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT).
The scientists, who first described their findings during a 19 March press conference, recommend a way to test for and treat the disorder and say this can help ease worries about the vaccine. “We know what to do: how to diagnose it, and how to treat it,” says Greinacher, who calls the syndrome vaccine-induced prothrombotic immune thrombocytopenia (VIPIT). Greinacher has posted a manuscript on the preprint server Research Square.
Even if Greinacher’s mechanism isn’t the whole story, multiple researchers told Science they were convinced the vaccine was causing the rare set of symptoms. If that turns out to be true, it could have major consequences for the vaccine, which is one of the cornerstones of the World Health Organization’s push to immunize the world. AstraZeneca is working with partners around the globe to make and distribute billions of doses in low- and middle-income countries, which might have a harder time identifying and treating rare side effects.

they are naming it in analogy to something similar from heparin:

The key symptom is thrombocytopenia.
Well, I KNEW this was a common symptom of hemotoxic snake venoms, because the word was stuck in my mind from all the reading I did on those things.

Abstract
Thrombocytopenia is a common occurrence in moderate to severe crotaline envenomation. The exact mechanism by which rattlesnake venom leads to thrombocytopenia is unclear, but aggressive treatment with crotaline-specific antivenom often leads to resolution of this disorder. Crotalinae Polyvalent Immune Fab (CroFab(TM), Protherics Inc., Nashville, TN) (crotaline Fab) is now available for the treatment of symptomatic rattlesnake envenomation. Although recurrence of thrombocytopenia has been reported in patients after envenomation treated with crotaline Fab, cases refractory to this therapy have not been described. We report a case of severe crotaline envenomation that appears to have exhibited two separate episodes of thrombocytopenia, only one of which responded to antivenom. The second, later phase was refractory to both crotaline Fab as well as traditional Antivenin (Crotalinae) Polyvalent (Wyeth-Ayerst Pharmaceuticals, Philadelphia, PA) (ACP). By reviewing the literature regarding venom-induced thrombocytopenia, we attempt to explain this “biphasic” phenomenon and the inability of crotaline Fab to reverse this toxic effect.

Here are the key points:
(1) Thrombocytopenia is a common occurrence in moderate to severe crotaline envenomation.
These are pit vipers, which include rattlesnakes and most of the venomous snakes in America. They have hemotoxic venoms.
(2) The exact mechanism by which rattlesnake venom leads to thrombocytopenia is unclear, but aggressive treatment with crotaline-specific antivenom often leads to resolution of this disorder.
THIS IS THE KEY:
If aggressive treatment with antivenom works on these snake venoms, then it’s possible that similar treatment of the vaccine clotting patients with antibodies (natural or synthetic) to the exact same or similar stabilized spike proteins would work in the exact same way.
Now – here is some speculation.
IMO the main disadvantage of the mRNA-based vaccines, whether vectored by adenoviruses OR by lipid nanodroplets, is the same as the uncertainty of VIRAL outcomes themselves – there is no real metering of how much spike protein gets made. The “finished spike protein” vaccines like Novavax cannot introduce any more or less spike protein than they originally present. In comparison to Novavax, however, there is more “play” in how much spike protein results from an mRNA jab.
This is not a “forbidding” problem – most early vaccines using live, dead, or weakened viruses, were, to some extent, RNA or DNA vaccines – particularly live or weakened which caused actual infection to occur and then be stamped out. They did not control how much or how many proteins were created, but this would almost always be directly related to the amount of vaccine.
At this point, people should be able to see the problem. There are likely some very small number of people, when MILLIONS get vaccinated, who somehow turn on a small, broken-handled faucet of spike protein – some cells that just keep cranking it out, which “get ahead” of immunity to to great an extent, and lead to outlier symptoms.
Basically, spike protein envenomation.
This is fixable!
Treat like snakebite using products like Regeneron and Lilly.
While we may “know” several big Pharma names, they have a ton of corporate entities laying around for a variety of purposes. AstraZeneca may be renaming their jab, prior to transferring it to a controlled sub, prior to having any bad news come out about it.
