God’s Purpose of Prophecy
Between a fourth and a third of the Bible is prophecy. So it’s clear that prophecy is important to God. But why is prophecy important to Him? And why should it be important to us?
Prophecy reveals who and what God is – prophecy reveals God’s greatness and power—power such that He is able to reveal the future. In Isaiah 42, He connects His creative power with His ability to reveal the future long before it comes to pass:
“This is what God the Lord says—the Creator of the heavens, who stretches them out, who spreads out the earth with all that springs from it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it: ‘. . . I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols. See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you'” (Isaiah 42:5, Isaiah 42:8-9)
No one or nothing can compare to God in his might and majesty. No other can speak and bring galaxies, stars and worlds into existence! No other can create living beings from nothing! And no other can declare what will happen before it takes place!
Prophecy reveals that God exists and that the Bible is His revealed Word.
Critics sidestep the plain evidence that God exists and that the Bible is His revealed word and offer all kinds of convoluted reasoning to explain it away. But God offers this challenge to any who would doubt Him:
“This is what the Lord says—Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God. Who then is like me? Let him proclaim it. Let him declare and lay out before me what has happened since I established my ancient people, and what is yet to come—yes, let him foretell what will come . . . Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago? You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me?” (Isaiah 44:6-8, NIV).
History itself is a witness that God foretold many events hundreds and thousands of years before they happened, then brought them to pass exactly as He said. God put it in writing well ahead of time where it can be easily disproven if it doesn’t come to pass. Yet time and time again, what He has written has taken place just as He foretold!
The Bible is unlike any other religious “holy book” in many respects, but one enormous difference is that the Bible alone contains hundreds of prophecies that have been fulfilled just as they were recorded years ahead of time—and with hundreds more waiting to be fulfilled.
Prophecy shows that God is in ultimate control.
Not only can God reveal the future well ahead of time, but He can also bring to pass what He has foretold. In Isaiah 46:9-10 He declares plainly that no one or no thing can remotely approach His power, using prophecy as an example:
“Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come” (NIV). He ends this statement saying, “My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please” (NIV).
Clearly, only God can do this.
The biblical prophet Daniel, who served under the rulers of Babylon and the Medo-Persian Empire, said that God “removes kings and raises up kings” and “reveals deep and secret things” (Daniel 2:21-22). Daniel had no doubts when it came to this great truth about God. Daniel was a senior royal advisor to the court of Babylon with a front-row seat to God removing, restoring and replacing kings—and even striking down a mighty empire when it came time to move on to the next great phase of Bible prophecy.
God is in complete and ultimate control, raising up and striking down kings and empires according to His plan and to fulfill His purpose!
Prophecy reveals the consequences of obedience and disobedience.
A theme found again and again in Bible prophecy is that choices and actions have consequences. Paul summarized this very well in Galatians 6:7: “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”
Two long chapters of the Bible—Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28—spell this out clearly. They describe in considerable detail what happens when a nation chooses to obey and honor God and what results when a nation turns its back and disobeys Him.
“Now it shall come to pass,” begins Deuteronomy 28:1-2, “if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God . . .”
The chapter goes on to describe blessings of agricultural and other material abundance, good health, national respect and prestige, victory in conflict, divine protection, good weather, national wealth and more.
“But it shall come to pass,” the chapter’s warning begins Deuteronomy 28:15, “if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you . . .”
The curses that follow are the opposite of the blessings just listed—agricultural and material decline, “rebuke in all that you set your hand to do,” diseases, drought, military defeat, mental illness and confusion, oppression by foreigners and invaders, natural disasters and more.
“Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything, therefore you shall serve your enemies,” God declares (Deuteronomy 28:47-48). The warning continues with graphic and sobering details of what happens when civilization and moral standards begin to completely break down, leading to utter depravity.
The ancient kingdoms of Israel and Judah failed to heed these warnings, and they stand as an example to nations such as the United States, Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and others who’ve been greatly blessed by God but now increasingly deny Him and trample His laws and Word underfoot. Their fate is likewise spelled out in prophecy if they refuse to turn from that treacherous path!
Prophecy reveals God’s will—that He wants all to receive His gift of salvation.
Much of Bible prophecy is grim and at times frightening. God wants us to understand the painful consequences that will follow from choosing the wrong way and the blessings that come from obeying Him.
God doesn’t want any of us to suffer. In Ezekiel, He says: “Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord God, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?'” (Ezekiel 33:11).
The prophecies of the Bible almost always end with hope and good news. This is because, as Paul told Timothy, God “desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4).
And Bible prophecy reveals how that wonderful truth will play out!
Prophecy reveals God’s plan for humanity.
Bible prophecy reveals that God is working out an incredible plan for us, a plan for how He will bring us to salvation and eternal life in His divine family.
“I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty” (2 Corinthians 6:18).
“Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure” (1 John 3:2-3).
God’s promise is that as His divine children, we will be like the glorified Jesus Christ!
“Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years” (Revelation 20:6).
Few realize this truth, but God’s plan for us is to serve Him as priests and to reign with Jesus Christ when He establishes the Kingdom of God on earth!
Prophecy should motivate us to repent and turn to God.
Jeremiah (25:4-5) summarizes the message of God’s prophets to His people: “The Lord has sent to you all His servants the prophets . . . They said, ‘Repent now everyone of his evil way and his evil doings . . .'”
Peter (2 Peter 3:9) tells us: “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance”.
God says: “The instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, to pull down, and to destroy it, if that nation against whom I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I thought to bring upon it.” (Jeremiah 18:7-8)
God sent Jonah to warn the Ninevites of their judgment and impending doom for their wickedness. The Ninevites believed God and repented. As a result, “God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it” (Jonah 3:10).
The message of every prophet of the Bible is that if we turn our life around, listen to God and heed His warnings and change, we can avoid the terrible times prophesied to come on our world.
All prophecy is ultimately a message of hope. We have God’s assurance that He is in perfect control, that He is a God of love (1 John 4:8, 1 John 4:16), that His desire is for us to turn to Him in heartfelt repentance and turn our lives over to Him. If and when we do so, He promises to bless and care for us, intent on fulfilling His purpose for us.
He tells us what we must do in Isaiah 55:6-7: “Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.”
God shows us in His Word His vital purposes for prophecy. More than anything, He gives us prophecy to help us understand who and what He is and how much we need Him.

We are in the news almost every day now.
My only fear is the riff-raff will move in and screw it up. BUT…
We have six month winters. Seriously. And not like it’s winter every day of that, but like this winter. We had our first “hard freeze” in early October. The leaves were still on everything, and were frozen there all winter. But it got warm after that for a while, so people relaxed. We had a cold snap down to 10 below for a few weeks, but that’s normal. Then, we had an unexpected eight inches of wet, heavy snow in mid-April. If you hadn’t gone out and stripped the leaves off of everything, in the -10 degree weather of winter, then the snow broke all the plants. And if you didn’t realize you had better rake all that snow off the tender stuff that was just coming up, it died, too.
Also, that first freeze just outright killed some things. I lost two big old rose bushes.
Then in the summer, 95 degree weather shows up. Sometimes it’s over 100. That’s every summer pretty much. And if there are fires, you live with that heat with smoke added. I’m not being negative, just honest. This is a great place to live, but you gotta be hardy to do it. It took me ten years to adjust. If I hadn’t been married to a man who INSISTED we stay, I wouldn’t have made it past the first winter.
Some people will last through it because of the good things that offset the weather. But a lot won’t. Montana is NOT for the fainthearted.
Nor is Wyoming. But it seems we are having allot of people moving in. And they are probably bring there politics with them 😡
Joe Biden didn’t win.
We have considered Wyoming.
So far, Texas is holding up okay, but we keep our options open.
I grew up in Michigan, so have a small idea of ‘weather.’
Montana sounds beautiful to me. Harsh weather is to one degree or another in many states and Countries. I am glad you adopted and at peace and happy in your Montana.

One time here in OH we had 12 ” of snow in March. We had a flight to catch for CT to babysit granddaughter because her parents had vacation. We came to Columbus was not much of anything and made our flight
The extreme weather reminds me of St Louis in the late sixties through seventies and eighties. Summer hot humid and winter cold one time it was colder than Alaska. The ice storms were legendary. I have photos with my kids up to their waist in snow.
It is astounding when one realizes the resiliency we human have.

I remember in high school, Brave New World was required reading. I was already familiar with 1984, which was not.

We have a wind farm here. A solar company wants to install panels on the land around the windmills, taking over 1,000 acres out of agricultural production. Land experts are saying that the town will go from being an agricultural community to a power producing utility.

These methods have their niche uses; I’m not going to complain about someone who installs a solar system for his own property. And if I were building a house far away from an electric line (and that means, basically, anything over a quarter of a mile) I’d absolutely consider just making it off grid solar, given what the power company would charge to run the line. But here’s the other side of the coin — the public school systems, fundamentally, simply don’t care that parents are taking their children out of the public schools. Two reasons:
One: the taxpayer subsidies they get from the Federal and State governments.
Two: the local Real Estate Property Tax (in some localities, called the School District Tax).
Citizens who own real estate have to pay these taxes. Doesn’t matter if the citizens are retired (therefore, do not have children in the school system); if the real estate is owned by a citizen who resides in another state (this person gets hit twice — by their own local real estate/school district tax, plus the ones for their property in the other state); or if a citizen has children in private K-12 schools of any type (they still have to pay the real estate tax/school district taxes).
Example: Albemarle County, VA, rolls their school district tax into their real estate property tax. Every year, the school district, responding to pressure from the teacher’s union and other leftwing entities, gives the teachers and administrators a raise. This raise is passed on to the taxpayer.
Example: Pittsburgh, PA, has a separate School District tax that is billed and paid at a separate time from their real estate tax. They also give a raise to the teachers in the Pittsburgh Public School system every year. This increase is passed on to the taxpayers. A few years ago, the city tacked on a “Library Tax” into the school district tax. At that point, I had enough, and sold my rental real estate property in the city of Pittsburgh.
Mind you, everyone who can, takes advantage of any reduction program that is offered regarding real estate and/or school district taxes.
Example: Pittsburgh and some of the surrounding suburbs offer a “Homestead Deduction” for property owners who live on the real estate property. This deduction can be substantial. It is not offered to people who own real estate in Pittsburgh but who either use it as a rental property, and/or who live out of state.
The point here is that the ONLY way school districts will sit up and take REAL notice that parents are taking their children elsewhere, is to hit the school districts where it will hurt — in the Federal/State subsidies, and in the local real estate tax / school tax situation.
Oh I hear ya. It’s a racket that involves the local school districts, the tax appraisal districts and any other government agency involved in spending your tax dollars.
Texas passed a law to help taxpayers but the local entities just do end runs and join hands to get the money through houses suddenly appraising for 17% more than the precious year.
The corruption is from top to bottom. And those in charge laugh their asses off.
My neighbor had her property taxes raised because she had a small four-chicken coop put in her yard. I kid you not.
The one reason the left hasn’t been able to totally Californicate Colorado is that we have very strict tax limitation. And revenue limits. If, in spite of the tax limits, some government entity collects too much money (i.e, the increase is more than population times inflation), they have to ask voters for permission to spend the money. And must ask for permission to raise a tax.
This was put forward and passed through the tireless efforts of a man named Douglas Bruce. Every politician in the state hates his guts, because between him and federal mandates, there’s very little room to “maneuver” in a budget. The effect is that everything else other than what the feds force the state to do, or what the feds and state force the counties to do, gets squeezed, because those mandates grow faster than revenue.
It also doesn’t help that many years ago, voters stupidly passed a law mandating an escalation in education budgets; people are less educated and it’s consuming a larger and larger share of the state budget.
To be honest, Doug Bruce is, in person, an asshole. I love what he has done for this state, but I cannot stand working with him. This is, of course, exploited by the YSM here. (Whoever said that no publicity is bad publicity has never heard of the case of Doug Bruce. The media has gotten smart enough to cover personalities when they want to trash a political faction, rather than to try to make fun of the political positions.)

Watch for localities to start placing tight restrictions on what one can keep and/or grow in their residential yards in terms of livestock, chickens, crops, etc., as more people begin to raise these animals and fowl in their own yards.
For example, Charlottesville already has an entire “Animal Ordinance” series of regulations, some of which are ridiculous on the face of them (one cannot keep more than 10 female chickens; they must be in their henhouse by dark; they cannot make enough noise to disturb the neighbors. There’s even regulations for the construction and maintenance of the chicken coop. One cannot keep more than 3 miniature goats and cannot keep any goat for potential food use. All livestock animals and fowl kept on residential property must have permits and be fenced in. And on and on.)
Watch for localities begin to tax any livestock or fowl raised on private residential land, even if they are eventually killed and consumed only by the property owners.
Also on the radar are localities imposing regulations on what people can, and cannot, grow as “crops” in their own residential yards, how much yard will be “allowed” to be used to grow food, taxing the crops grown even if they are only consumed by the property owners, etc.
The only people annoyed by clucking hens are people who should not live near clucking hens.

We get the GOP that we vote for. And if we aren’t voting for the GOP leadership then there is half of the problem right there. If we didn’t vote for the current GOP leadership in our county in the elections over the last several months then who are we to complain about the GOP leadership we have?
If we are part of the SEC process for our state, then how do we have the right to complain about “our” GOP? Is it “our” GOP if we are doing nothing to choose the GOP leadership other than vote for GOP politicians?

If we aren’t involved Right Now in grassroots for the primary candidates to primary incumbents and to run in RINO and in Blue Congressional seats and for US Senate seats then do we have a right to complain when we don’t like the results in 2022? NOW is the time to get involved.
The best time was in 2015, or 2009 with the TEA Party or earlier … but the 2nd best time for all who have not been motivated to get involved before is NOW!

Your local county parties need you – esp. if there are already MAGA conservatives hard at work and if there are MAGA conservatives elected to party leadership in your county.
They need you there to bring up topics, to ask questions and to vote when MAGA issues are brought up.
Imagine: GOP county with a number of officers who are MAGA but they are not the full majority. censuring their RINO Senator comes up by MAGA conservatives but is voted down. No members have brought it up in meetings to ask leadership about it. Leadership things their members don’t want to take such action.
Imagine that same scenerio with more MAGA members in attendence, asking the questions, empowering and synergizing with the MAGA leaders.
Too many times, we get the GOP leaders and actions in the county parties because MAGA conservatives forfeit and don’t show up to vote and participate.
Same with primary candidates.

I got VERY lucky and purchased my house at the bottom of the market here in 2009. My ex-husband had great timing, at least for me. I had to buy, and the market had tanked.

Still commenting on the garden side theme from Friday since we are in an intense gardening time of planting and other gardening tasks including mowing and haying which then put on top of our garden plots to reduce the need to weed this summer.
One of our methods for picking what we garden is to ask ourselves:
“What do we like to eat?”
-we need to happy to do the garden work and we need to eat what we grow so it doesn’t go to waste. We grow only a small amount of fennel because I am the only one who likes it. We grow no brussel sprouts because we would waste them all even if we were motivated to take care of them, weeding, watering, etc.
“What do we like to eat that is expensive?”
-Melons and winter squash we both can be $2 lb for organic and they all weigh multiple lbs
“What do we eat a lot of that we could use more variety of?”
-Example: we eat lots of green beans but almost all are the organic frozen green beans from costco for only $7 but they are the same variety of green beans. So we started growing green beans, not to save $ or preserve (because we keep extra bags of the already frozen costco green beans with no work on our part) but to have variety throughout the summer.
-“What can we can/dry/preserve?”
-“What would be glad we have on hand and are growing if the grocery stores/supply chain shut down for any reason?”
Melons are such a treat and on the expensive side so we grow them.
Our goal is to have 1 – 2 of each bear fruit so we plant 6 seeds in 2 pots inside to end up with 1-2 successfully growing later in the summer in the garden. And we LOVE how many varieties of melons there are! We plant a few watermelon and lots of musk melons!

Cushaws were new to us last year and were fantastic! North Georgia Candy Roaster and Upper Ground Sweet Potato are new for this year.
Cushaws were huge last year + keep producing more fruit after we would harvest! We harvested spag. squash early and so they kept throwing off new fruit too. But the Cushaws were tremendously large and kept growing more and more until the squash bugs killed them about mid August
We have some heirloom varieties from our visit to Monticello including Green Nutmeg Melon. New to us this year are: Old Time Tennessee muskmelon, Cream (Green Machine) muskmelon, Noir des carmes muskmelon, and Eden Gem (Rocky Ford) Muskmelon. Banana Melon and other unusual varieties + orange watermelon & canteloupe
Complete failures have been potatoes last year. Not even trying this year. maybe next year. Ordered $80 of 5 unusual varieties of potatoes … for first time trying potatoes –> HUGE misake! Should have started with a bag of organic potatoes from the store so we weren’t overly invested for our first try. Lost all. Every single one of them.
Oh well.
That happened to us a few years ago. Made me sit back and evaluate. This year we have a 4 by 4 with potatoes. So far so good.
We will try them again next year and only with inexpensive, store bought varieties. If we get those down pat, then we will order the unusual & fun varieties. We only eat potatoes 1x or 2x a week at most and organic potatoes are cheap from the store (at this time) so we will give it a year before trying again.
Didn’t think they would be that hard. We grew Zero successfully!
Five gallon buckets for potatoes are the way to go. When you are ready to harvest, you just dump the bucket.
Or you can do what I do, cheat and root around with your hand in the dirt and “steal” baby potatoes all summer. There are a few left when I dump the bucket, but not too many!

Yes, at least six or eight holes for drainage.
One big problem growing potatoes is they need good drainage or they will rot.
I’ve heard of some people who plant them in bales of hay — and cut the wire for harvest.
Hay bale gardens are cool, too. You can plant almost anything in hay bales. You add a lay of soil on top. The interesting thing is that the hay generates heat as it decomposes, so plants that like warm roots, like peppers, really like it.

We have had the forestry service here twice … 1st summer and last summer. Told there is nothing we can do. I even tried to sell the idea of them helping us clear these trees to stop the spread to other ash tree stands in the area but to widespread.
Yes, ash is beautiful and the flooring we picked for our house as we fix it up.
Checked harvesting and selling. While its a lot of trees to us … not big enough stand to be commercially viable. Plus previous owners topped many of the trees so they split at a certain height where they were topped and then split into many branches to grow post being topped.
We checked into have guys come cut who would not tear up the ground and would mulch and leave in place alot of the under growth and the ash tree branches. They were $1,000 a day and we would get back some $ on any lumber that were able to salvage/make from the trunks. Too much for us as it was at least a 3 day estimate.
Maybe with the lumber shortage the price/costs have changed … might call them again … but because its ash bore some of the wood will be messed up/not premium lumber
So we live with dead trees and cut them down as we have time which isn’t often between fixing up the house, gardening, working (H), volunteering GOP, schooling, etc. Oh well.
Upside? Lots of downed limbs for mulching for layers in our gardening and to help raise the beds. Also, getting more and more woodpeckers as we have dead tree stands.
Lesson learned: ask! All trees look dead in the winter so we couldn’t tell and never thought to ask. Asking would have been worth it

And, then, there are some delightful things that are dirt easy — like nasturtiums. Not only are they voluminous and nice to look at, the leaves and flowers are edible.

Nearly all Europeans had ancestors who ALSO ate little meat — until the 20th century.
They ate a lot of bread, potatoes and/or humble pancakes made out of some sort of flour. Let’s look at France for pancake/crepe examples. In Nice, people made crepes out of chickpea flour. In Brittany, the poor made crepes out of buckwheat flour.
In Italy, the main food was pasta. Tomatoes were plentiful, so those made up a humble sauce.
In season, there were vegetables to accompany those foods. If there was any meat, it was mostly fatty bacon or a few slices of dried sausage during the winter.
MOST PEOPLE DID NOT EAT MEAT REGULARLY until the 20th century.

Well, the thing is, my dad is 80. He’s had two Moderna shots, the second one about 10 days ago. So far, I’ve not had bruising or unusual female issues, but he’s the only fully vaccinated person I’ve been around for any length of time.
We went over to my sister’s place for dinner, and just being in the front seat of the car with him (Ying was in the back seat whining), I was really uncomfortable. I doubt there’s anything to worry about deep down, but I’m avoiding my dad because of spike protein shedding.

My manager at Virginia Tech called me out in our weekly zoom meeting for not signing up for VT’s massive vaccination push two weeks ago, and told me I had to get the shot for our program to continue. I’ve been developing a strategy in the event things get ugly, and my usual legal counsel doesn’t cover this field. HR at Virginia Tech told me that they are not mandating it, but you never know with Governor Racist Ralph, I think it’s better to be prepared.

I’m in a similar situation, but not as serious (in a sense) as yours.
So, I’ve been researching the legal tools necessary to FIGHT – as we all must, according to both my perspective and P45DJT’s, with his admonition to “Fight, fight, FIGHT!”
I’m in MA, and Dr. Shiva couldn’t get a *single* law firm to take on his case to represent his interests (victim of election fraud), and the MA Atty Gen’l (Maura Healy, I believe) did NOT retain the election ballots / images for the federally required 22 months – in fact, it seems that they were *deleted* (WHAT???).
He had to file “pro se”, as his own counsel.
IMO, we all must do this (fight back), when our rights are violated.
PS – Make sure ALWAYS to call it an “experimental vaccine”, rather than a “vaccine”. It matters BIGLY, in law. Words matter.

IIRC, Baker was the CEO of one of the main health insurance companies in MA – Harvard Pilgrim Health, or somesuch name (its name has changed at least a few times).
Which means, IMO – because of his experience in the “health” industry – he KNOWINGLY and FALSELY promoted the masks as being preventative.
He slimed his way out of this – maybe (maybe not) – by saying that the point of wearing masks was/is to prevent OTHERS from being infected.
See the trick? It ain’t for ones OWN health – it’s for OTHERS’ health.
That’s communism right there (sacrifice oneself for the “good” of others).
I would wish him to be lawfully arrested, lawfully charged, lawfully found guilty – and, in the case of Crimes Against Humanity – lawfully executed. He’s caused more damage and destruction, IMO, than ANY other Guv in MA history.
Cuomo’s death-toll is likely over 10K, with the nursing home scandal (he ordered symptomatic carriers into those facilities, while residents were most vulnerable to this Covid-thingy).
Baker did the same in MA – in Holyoke, MA, where it was reported that 70 died in similar fashion (needless exposure to the infected).
And, Baker’s on the Shy-Knee-authored list as being one of the “friendly to Shy-Knee” Guv’s, per Pompeo.

Here in the UK, we also have the line about masks being for others’ health. That might be a WHO narrative. Other countries use it, too, which is why it is a policy that will, sadly, probably be the last to go. GRR.
Thanks to Howie, I knew about the Holyoke deaths of veterans in that care home. Horrible. Inexcusable. Interesting that Baker never, ever talks about it, nor does anyone else at the State House. It’s as if it never happened.
I cannot believe that Baker can call himself a Republican. I read that he was not invited to the national GOP ‘do’ earlier this year. Ronna McDaniel’s team left him off the list.
Michigan’s Whitmer also ordered CV+ patients into nursing home & was responsible for all those elderly deaths, imo. She compounded her crimes by Forbidding doctors from prescribing HCQ & pharmacists from dispensing it by threatening to pull their licenses if they did so, so a know curative/preventative was denied deliberately to the vulnerable. How many died needlessly? Monstrous Evil!!!

Here’s my situation:
Last week I tried to buy groceries at a local (independent) store.
My phone had just become inoperable due to charging problems, the store was within walking distance (I don’t have a car), and my fridge was almost completely empty.
The manager of the store – once he’d found out (by snitch?) that I wasn’t wearing a mask – confronted me aggressively, would not heed my claim that it’s unhealthy for me to wear a mask, and threatened to take away the groceries I’d already collected, and to call the local police.
I persisted (in a very civil, and measured, fashion) – but he was so aggressive and confrontational that I demurred (I absolutely needed the food!), and I put the stinking mask he provided (open, not sterilized or packaged as “new”) to my face just for a few minutes, in order to check out WITH my purchased items, and leave the store without citation, or possibly arrest (trespass).
The experience was quite jarring. I believe that many, if not most, of the employees working there were embarrassed by his behavior (acting with an “iron fist”, as it were). None of them spoke up – but I suspect they were in fear of losing their jobs if they did.
He mocked me for citing the law against discrimination. He also claimed (in his capacity as an agent of a private business) – that he had the LAWFUL RIGHT to refuse service to anyone not wearing a mask (IOW, my health be damned).
“My science trumps your science!” (direct quote) he asserted – which implies, I believe, that he’d come across others in similar situations.
But, by continuing to engage verbally with him, I elicited his belief / statement that because I *may* be infected (no proof, no symptoms either), that to protect his customers and the employees he supervised, the mask was absolutely necessary, citing his perceived risk against (paraphrased) my exhaled water-droplets and such (from sneezing etc.) … even though there isn’t any reputable science that any such risk exists.
I’m preparing a letter to the owner, and I EXPECT TO GO BACK TO THE STORE to buy groceries in the near future (I forgot some items under the stress and threats).
In the meantime, I’m conducting the legal research to substantiate my position … and figuratively “armed” with such info, I strongly suspect that the OWNER will countermand the orders of this IMO inexperienced and IMO ill-trained employee – manager or no – and allow me to shop WITHOUT wearing any mask / mask-equivalent.
I may call the local police MYSELF next time if I’m refused entry to the store, and/or if the store or its employees / agents refuse ring up my intended purchases, or otherwise impede my right to engage in lawful commerce.
This is Massachusetts.
I also believe that requiring me, or ANYONE ELSE, to wear a device which obstructs the ability to BREATHE, goes against God: I consider wearing masks to be wearing a mark of the beast.
The primary cause of death during the Spanish Flu pandemic (real), according to the 2008 academic / scholarly paper co-authored by the infamous epidemiologist Dr. Fauci himself, WASN’T the Spanish Flu – but rather bacterial pneumonia … CAUSED BY WEARING MASKS!!!
I write these words according to the best of my knowledge, information, and belief.
[It’s a legal phrase (as many know). I’ll likely print it out, should the situation eventuate into legal proceedings.]
