Catholic nuns for centuries have been a hugely under-appreciated and unheralded force for good. Their goodness has been done on the retail level, so their devotion is remembered on the retail level.
It probably exists, but I am unaware of any book which credits Catholic nuns for their contribution to civilization, not to mention God’s plan.

Nuns do not get credit for what they have done as a whole. Individual women, yes, but the bad apples are the ones that get all the publicity, usually. Teaching, nursing, and social work all have their roots as professions in the convents.

Who is Denninger? I have not heard of that person. Glad Wolf is on the case. I have listened to many expert MD.’s and have not heard blood donation talked about.
Karl Denninger. Blogs at the Market Ticker. He frequently rants about absurdities in our medical system and is well informed and intelligent, so there’s sauce there. He is also a bit of a nut (as we all sneak a peek at mirrors). He has been doing good work on real COVID info.
Different people have different ideas about COVID VAX and blood donation. I have to say, very bluntly, that “you get what you get” with blood donation. My mother almost got AIDS from a transfusion. The guy who got an operation the same day got HIV – she didn’t. Luck of the draw.
The vax mRNA or DNA should be GONE in some short time, beyond any incorporation, and what is the risk after that is spike protein, until THAT is gone or not being produced.
I don’t know how long that is, but the protein should be detectable, and those pints excluded.
Denniger is a smart guy who drinks far too much. He was part of the start of the tea party movement.

I think he cut out a bunch of the drinking when he went low-carb.
Going low-carb would make him feel much better. Also alcohol can affect blood sugar levels LINK which is what going low-carb is all about.
It’s funny, many people who have gone paleo find that their tolerance levels improve after a time.
The whole thing is moderation, and if you’ve got a drink that tastes good, you’re going to want another.
And…there is a former WHO researcher, Kari Poikolainen, who disagrees with a lot of what is put forward on booze. He claims we’ve all been gaslit on the topic, and I think he’s right.
Also, exercise is the important counter-measure to both alcohol and carbs.
Alcohol (Beer or wine) was used esp in more tropical locations as a method to keep the local water from making you ill or killing you. Kids were given ‘watered wine’ from an early age. As a result of adaption over time, southern Europeans and others have a much better tolerance to alcohol compared to other, more northern populations.

For whatever reason, the powers that wannabe controlling various institutions don’t want the people drinking. Since they don’t have our greater good in mind in any other arena, why would this be the exception?
Some alcohol certainly has good ‘side-effects’ generally it is the other stuff in wine and beer.
They do not want people drinking because it goes with SOCIALIZING and TALKING.
The masks, 6 ft distance, no church, no taverns, no bars, no restaurants is ALL ABOUT STIFLING COMMUNICATION.
The anti-alcohol campaign has been going on for over a hundred years, though. We don’t really know how to do it socially, like it really works.
Ancient civilzations throughout Egypt and Mesopotamia developed beer for the same reason.
My mother had a glass of wine a day all her life never became diabetic. My grandmothers either. No one in my family ever was. My husband side is different. I think has a lot to do with persons inherited genes?

I agree. It’s genetics. An old family friend died at the age of 89 of total organ shutdown, and he had a gin habit that made a lot of people look twice. Previous to that, despite a crappy diet and being grossly overweight, his blood and liver numbers were “perfect.”
I remember reading an article where someone was intrigued by the amount of drinking during Dickens’ time and tried to emulate it — from an “eye-opener” immediately upon arising until a “nightcap” right before lights-out.
The average per capita consumption of alcohol in those days was staggering….and so was the author halfway through the afternoon.
I wonder if the drinks had less proof. That might be part of it.

Distilled spirits may well have been more potent — they are currently diluted with water to bottle at 80 proof (used to be almost universal, but now we’re seeing “cask strength” and other other higher proofs become more common).

Had a glass of bone broth this morning. I do the fasting kind no food until 2 PM and then at 6 PM and no snacks no carbs. I feel good no hunger eat all the vegetables I love and like chicken , fish pork and stake. Love my boiled eggs also. Meat in moderation .
Miss my oatmeal ( Bircher Muesli).
The muesli I make is,
1 Tsp home flaked oatmeal 3 Tsp water and let sit over night.
In morning grate 1/2 apple
1/2 lemon
1 Tsp walnuts
1tsp honey
Whole milk organic yogurt
cup blue berries or other berries in season.
1Tsp of flax seeds.
So I miss that and its the only thing I miss.

Yep. We have that here, as well as a TON of other kinds of Müsli. In the stores are different packaged Müslis, as well as refrigerated ones mixed with yogurt, or two-compartment containers so you can mix it yourself (get a little exercise or test your hand-eye coordination in the morning 🙂 )…..
A popular brand here is Kölln Müsli, which we could probably buy by the ton 🙂 Still, home-made is probably the best; more control over what’s in it, and more variety…

The problem are the additives they are so damaging.

Yeah, but the more I think about this…my sister has been taking allergy shots for YEARS. The thing is, none are administered if no physician is in the office. They just won’t do it just in case.
If it’s true that resuscitation personnel and equipment has to be on hand when these shots are administered, is that standard practice, or do the manufacturers know something that has been withheld?
I’m not a medical professional, but I do have a brain. Something is not right with that.
My hubby has been getting a regular flu shot from our local pharmacy, for years.
But it’s never been free.

Yes they are and they are PERSONALIZED. I used to get two in each arm, four total because I was allergic to everything they tested for. I also got an ‘epinephrine rinse’ of the syringe to prevent major reactions.
During the ‘scratch test’ for rye, my arm blew up before they could withdraw the needle. They packed my arm in ice and gave me epinephrine. I do NOT take any shots unless it is absolutely necessary and was told not to take the flu shot.
A professional team came to high-density sites in the Boston area. Senior housing and highrise buildings where the R-naught has been especially high. (Multigenerational families, people dependent on public transportation, Orthodox Jews, etc.)
RNs screen for allergies and whatnot. MDs observe post-vax for a given period of time, depending on individual medi history. They’re prepared on the spot and within a mile or two from hospital ERs.
Probably because this version came from Moderna, which was developed here. Moderna trained this lot directly, so there was considerably more supervision than elsewhere.
I’ve heard Pfizer, covering similar sites, has been sloppy. Nobody gets refused, no MDs on hand for quick response to anaphylaxis.

That particular organ is not built in. It’s a stand alone with two manuals and about 25 ranks, if that many. It gets played a lot, and the Benedictines are more about chant.
That building is one of Gyo Obata’s continuous pours here in STL. He won all sorts of awards for St. Anselm. He’s such a gentle soul, and a kind man. I’ve been in an elevator with him on multiple occasions. Anyway, he’s one of America’s GREAT architects. Probably his most famous project is the Air & Space Museum on the mall in Washington.

To me, this seems a plausible correction/update. The first segment “(no samples) are currently available” changed to “(no samples) were available at the time of the study” seems to be just making it more readable for the future.
The updated version makes it sound like there *is* a sample available now since the study was produced. If there is not, then that would be manipulative.

Two days ago, a paper published in the Biorxiv.org journal presented findings that indicated the coronavirus appeared to be engineered with “key structural proteins” of HIV. The paper, entitled, “Uncanny similarity of unique inserts in the 2019-nCoV spike protein to HIV-1 gp120
and Gag,” concluded that the engineering of coronavirus with such gene sequences was “unlikely to be fortuitous in nature,” providing strong scientific support for the theory that the coronavirus is an engineered bioweapon that escaped laboratory containment in China.
The coverage of this paper by Zero Hedge led to a firestorm of denials by governments, health authorities and the CIA-controlled media, not surprisingly. Any suggestion that the coronavirus was engineered as a bioweapon had to be immediately eliminated. The prevailing panic by the establishment sought to blame this outbreak on Mother Nature — i.e. bats, snakes, seafood, etc. — rather than the human beings who are playing around with deadly biological weapons that are designed to extinguish human life.
Within hours, Twitter slapped down a permanent ban on Zero Hedge, making sure the independent publisher could no longer reach its Twitter audience. In addition, the publisher has posted a message warning that all the science papers it posts as “preliminary reports” that “should not be regarded as conclusive,” especially when the science establishment is panicked that its official narratives might be crumbling by the hour.
No doubt the authors of this particular paper have been sufficiently threatened to revise their conclusions, and an update of their original paper will soon be posted that effectively denounces everything they stated in the original paper. The criminal wing of the science establishment strikes again, of course, and this tactic of threatening scientists with loss of funding, being blacklisted or even physically threatened and killed is not unusual at all. The CDC, NIH and even the EPA have long histories of threatening scientists with being harmed or killed if they don’t fall in line with the prevailing lies of the establishment. In some cases, they’ve even imprisoned scientists for fraud after those individuals refused to retract their papers. Why does it matter whether the origin was a Chinese vaccine experiment vs. a bioweapon? As previous research has revealed, when these SARS insertions into the coronavirus are introduced into animal as part of a vaccine, they create heightened fatalities when patients are exposed to other coronavirus strains.
In effect, being vaccinated with this particular strain of coronavirus causes individuals to be more easily killed by the common cold and other non-pandemic coronavirus strains that are circulating in the wild.

I could write pages on “how” – but lemme try to condense it. It’ll be incomplete, but I hope it’ll have value for you, and for others.
First, one must ask the right question. When you use the word “determine”, I suspect you’re looking for 100% true, or 100% false.
It’s very rare to be able to get that type of answer – especially in the setting of an information war.
Look rather to the *spectrum* of confidence-level, running the entire gamut of truth from zero to one. Hardly likely, maybe true, likely true, almost certainly true – and various gradients in-between.
But one must also make sure that one is using not just that measure, but other measures as well.
For example – perhaps the purpose of the source one cites isn’t to be right, RIGHT NOW, but instead to “seed” for the truth down the line, in the future.
This is how the enemy does it, yes? “No vax passport!” Then months later, some outlier site suggests it as a good idea. In the end, the vax passport is a reality, and supported by ALL the YSM.
Because that idea has been batted around for a while, the populace has become accustomed to it: this lowers the resistance, and helps enable its adoption / approval – even if grudgingly.
Separately, I look for sites that ALLOW commentary from the public. For years now, I’ve valued the opinions / posts of REGULAR Americans, over and above the site’s author’s words.
When a site halts commentary, that’s a pretty good sign that their narrative doesn’t wash. I read the comments on CFP, GP, and sometime others (ZH can be a bit dicey – too many shills; but now, the comments are getting more cohesive).
It’s quite uncomfortable for many people to adopt this strategy – that is, acknowledging from the get-go that one CANNOT BE SURE.
That said, by reading enough from better-than-most sites, one may increase the level of confidence that one is on the right track.
It comes down to probability (math / game-theory), rather than surety. But when one comes across PILES of likely truths, then the odds of there being at least SOME truth go way up. In some cases, approaching 100%.
See Gail’s comment above, in re how the enemy operates. CNN is 10% true, but 90% lie. Fox, OTOH, is the reverse – 90% true, but 10% lie. Like Tucker, **continually** referring to our country as a “democracy”, rather than the Republic that it is (or should be).
The enemy tries to control BOTH sides of any argument / assertion; it’s a helluva job to find that 10% lie, hiding in 90% truth, AND that 10% truth, hiding in 90% lie. This is one of the definitions of propaganda, IMO.

The conspiracy theory is that All ballots have watermarks, that all US federal election ballots are printed by Homeland Security (or other agency, depending on the specific post) and that the US fed gov controlled the printing and that white hats had put water marks on all ballots to tehn identify fake ballots.
The claim was that white hats/Trump Admin good guys/military/whoever had set a trap by secretly marking the ballots before they were sent out. And that was a fake news rumor. No big trap for all states set by the fed gov on the ballots that the fed gov supposedly prints. That Not true.
When a claim, a supposed plan in all encompassing, will catch all, will be a one stop event, a BIG reveal that will expose everything … red flag as that is just too unlikely.
Ballots are not printed by or controlled by the US Gov nor does Homeland Security control or print them all.
some states, counties, cities, etc., do have watermarks incorporated onto the ballots and others do not.
In some states, the entire state contractst the printing of the ballots and in other states cities and/or countries contract the ballot printing on their own.
There was No universal ballot printer and no gov agency in charge of all ballots and so there was no universal making of all ballots with watermarks by the white hats.
However, no one thought that watermarks on ballots was a conspiracy theory. Many states/counties/cities do use them. Watermarks are real and they will be used more and more in coming elecitons. TN just passed new laws that we will have watermarks on all paper absentee ballots. Good! Added measures of security. Hope other states follow this idea as well.
From what I have read, AZ does not use watermarks but they are looking for finger prints (no finger prints would inidicate machine marked ballots created in bulk) and perhaps looking for watermarks that would indicate fake ballots. Time will tell.
But, yes, watermarks are a great idea and I hope more counties, cities, and states include them in their ballot printing

how in the absolute heck did DEAF people EVER get any information before covid? never in my 45+ years have i EVER seen every local, state, and national broadcast covered by these supposed sign language people right in your face.

Then again, there are a lot of deaf folks who don’t do sign language, but read lips (see “Sue Thomas, F. B.

My son is deaf (now has two CIs, but when they’re off, they’re off), and he’s going through HELL right now with “remote conferencing” at his University, and with all the masking in public. In both cases, the lips aren’t visible, and sometimes facial clues are missing too (which explains the strange look of signers, btw.).There’s a HUGE controversy about bringing up deaf children as lip-readers or sign-language-dependent. The state of Kalifornistan makes parents make that choice at birth, and, IIRC, it’s irrevocable (!). Ironically, the actress who plays Sue Thomas, Deanne Bray, is deeply involved in this as an advocate for bi-lingual speech/hearing training, i.e. both signing and lip-reading… Then there’s “little-d deaf (HOH hard-of-hearing) versus “Big-D Deaf” (total deaf, 100% loss). Cochlear Implant folks usually start off as d and end up as D. Thank GOD that there’s that possibility, though it’s not perfect, it works. Except with the masks… which are bad for all of us…
Long story short, they might be doing “the right thing” for the wrong reason. Typical DEMONRATS… (and, if nothing else, they’re probably creating yet another prejudice against deaf people, as deafness is a “silent handicap”, especially when (partially) corrected with CIs or Hearing Aids. People just think the deaf/HOH person is slow or stupid…

I still think a long walk every day helps in addition to diet.
People think I am 20 years younger than I am too. I have pretty much cut out sugar and most grain although I do eat brown rice. Pice does not seem to have the sugar high and bust of most carbs and I do not get acid reflux from it either like I do with wheat.

Diabetes runs in my family, mom’s side. My Gma had a diabetic stroke, went blind for a while.😨 Gpa had to give her daily shots. 😨 Neither Mom nor Sis heeded warnings, went on to develop diabetes. Knowing that needles make me faint and I wouldn’t be able to inject myself, I gave up all sugar, white flour, and fried foods at age 17 on Dr’s advice. I’ve spent years reading every product label, they put sugar in EVERYTHING!!! GRR!! Gotta be super careful w/ good carbs and natural sugar too. I’ll have a bad reaction within 5 minutes of ingesting. Did you know there’s 13g of sugar in skim milk? Kroger even adds sugar to their store brand cheese, so I have to pay more name brand without it. WHY?!?🤦♀️

I am oh so tired of people and their nonsense.
I had no choice but to see an acquaintance of mine today. She is liberal, thinks NPR is real news, you know the kind. She is also one of the over 50% of liberal white women diagnosed with a mental disorder. Imagine that.
While I was talking with her, my daughter texted me about a police situation that is going on in a town a little ways from here. I shared the text and commented to the acquaintance that I wouldn’t be a cop for anything right now, and related the story out today about the woman in the police stop calling the poor Mexican cop “murderer” over and over.
I said the mass media has convinced black people that cops only want to kill them. Her response? “It’s more nuanced than that.”
Well, by God, I have had enough of liberals and their frigging “nuance,” so I stated pretty strongly, no it is NOT. I asked if she had any idea how many un-armed black people were actually killed by cops last year. She of course gave me a blank look, and said “I won’t talk about politics with you anymore. I will talk about gardening, but not about politics.”
Yeah, well, she only wants to talk about gardening because she wants something. She wants me to babysit her garden (but she’d PAY ME, she says) when she goes on vacation at the WORST possible time to be away from your garden. But I guess it doesn’t occur to her I’d have to be away from mine to babysit hers. Oh, and she wants my bean seeds. Which are awesome, I grant you, but why would I give them to her?
I’m pretty sure we have gone past even being “acquaintance friends,” because when she said she wouldn’t talk about politics with me anymore, I picked up my stuff, turned my back and walked out. The last words out of my mouth were “fine, remain in ignorance.”
The truth about most of these people is they don’t WANT to know any real information, because then they would have to DO something with it. Good grief.
If they get real information, they have to admit they were duped. It’s uncomfortable, and that isn’t pleasurable. Human nature. It sucks, which is why the red pill is going to be such a bitter one to swallow for so many.

i had a guy that i respected for over 20 years, and who is in his 80’s and a very high up in his field (psychiatry) draw the last straw with me a couple weeks back. this is after he gave me a rachel maddow book to read that is “so fascinating” he LOVES rachel. after putting up with his and other people’s insta-change after trump. never saying a word and still helping these people with their “computer problems”… well i had it. he was spouting about how we need more immigrants, etc, which i was fine with. then he said “it’s better to be half breed than pure bred” and i said “excuse me?” and he said “you heard me it’s better to be half breed than pure bred anyday. diversity is good” i said, wait do you mean “half breed?” he says yes – and he points out how he has “2 gorgeous half breed grandchildren” and i said, well, you may not know but my child is “mixed breed as you might call it” and he was like “mixed breed! that’s what i meant! not half breed!” and i said, oh, silly mistake – but if i were you i’d listen more close to your beloved NPR and maddow because you might want to say “culturally diverse” instead.
That convo smacks of throwback ideas of classifying blood heritage by degrees. Is he basically saying that people who reproduce ‘pure’ Caucasian are inferior or any race who multiplies with their own..they’re lesser than?
It’s getting creepy. When I’d read about muslim men casually bragging about impregnating Western women to dilute their race it always made me feel angry. Have relationships with whomever you fancy but for God’s sake don’t do it to achieve some bloodline goal.

I don’t know if this is just a Southern thing or not but for as long as I remember most Southern families can rattle off stats and names about relatives. The terms mulatto and quadroon were known to me because in South Carolina hearing my grandmother and great aunts talking about their friends who were that. Friends*, not servants or maids.
People of all colors used to be able to acknowledge their heritage and ancestry without prejudice or anger…it was what it was. People used to enjoy smacking each other down with derogatory racial slurs…every race had several. that was when people could and did laugh at themselves. Not anymore.
We had a Receptionist at a previous company whose father was a black American serviceman and whose mom was Filipina. Ended up with a remarkable skin tone that always seemed to be glowing slightly — and this is not merely personal observation, she had a second career modeling (mainly for bodybuilding equipment, though not particularly a gym rat herself [she was especially proud of one where she was advertising a weight machine — she’d done the ad while she was four months pregnant]). She had a very happy, friendly, and pleasant personality, nice voice, and handled the miscellaneous duties of the front desk promptly and efficiently.
Her only flaw as a Receptionist was being too receptive — she got pregnant while still doing temp-to-perm and the agency just swapped her out.

n 2008 in the book, “Sly Foxes, Wolves and Men, Is Marxism Growing In America”, I wrote a test at the end of the book for readers to take to see how secretive they believed our government was or wasn’t. It was a truth in transparency questionaire. At the time, many thought a test score of “15 to 29” was not possible and never would be. Yet, I saw this is where we were heading if we continued to stay asleep. I’m curious how many people today will score in that range. I’d like to invite everyone to take the test, just based on what you see today.
When I wrote this test, almost no one was concerned about America being taken over by anyone and certainly not from within. Sure we had 911 and a couple stock market crashes along with the housing bubble…but, fake news explained all of that. Everyday life was a challenge all by itself, and people were too busy living to notice anything odd. Yet, all the signs were manifesting of a Totalitarian Government rising. There were a handful of people reporting all the things that were true and the word Illuminati had become laughable to the average person. TBN was huge and Joel Osteen was shouting, “Do what makes you feel good, God just wants you to be happy.”

Some group actually got funding for this, but it is actually interesting.
Everyone knows that bats echolocate — they chirp (at superhigh frequencies that humans can’t hear) and listen for echoes to tell them about objects near them. That’s easy — closer objects have echoes before farther objects. But knowing if the “farther away” is 30 feet or 50 feet requires knowing something about the speed of sound.
So researchers raised two groups of bats, but changed the speed of sound for one of them. To do this, one group was raised in a high-helium environment. They then swapped them.
The totally peculiar result was that both bats found the regular air “regular” and the helium air “wrong”…..which shows that there are various constants regarding the speed of sound in regular air that are incorporated in bat DNA and independent of how they’re raised.
