The prior election must be acknowledged as fraudulent, and steps must be taken to prosecute the fraudsters and restore integrity to the system.
Nothing else matters at this point. Talking about trying again in 2022 or 2024 is hopeless otherwise. Which is not to say one must never talk about this, but rather that one must account for this in ones planning; if fixing the fraud is not part of the plan, you have no plan.
Mid-Independence Day
Yesterday was the Second, and tomorrow is the Fourth, of July.
Although the Declaration of Independence proudly proclaims “In Congress, July 4th, 1776,” the actual resolution of independence, the Lee Resolution ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee_Resolution ) was passed on July 2nd.
July 4th was when the text of the masterfully-written-and-butchered document was approved. It includes the Lee Resolution in its own text, in the last paragraph:

So in a sense Friday was the real Independence Day, and today is just the average of the real one, and the commonly celebrated one on Sunday.

I remember when one of the chain supermarkets in college offered loss-leader hot dogs, cooked and with a bun for a dime. Mid 1980s and for college students it was a favorite.
(If you’ve traveled around the country you may have noticed that pretty much everywhere you go there are two or three BIG chains of supermarkets…but the *names* of the chains vary a lot. I’m most familiar with CO (Safeway and King Soopers, with Albertson’s having bowed out), CA (Ralphs and Vons, with some small presence by Safeway and Albertsons (as of 1989), and then in northern AL, there’s Publix and formerly Winn Dixie.
Of course Walmart is just about everywhere with their grocery sections.
Stater Bros is getting bigger and bigger. Kroeger, the parent of Ralphs also owns Food for Less.

We had Weingartens here growing up, then Safeway moved in and bought them out. SW like Albertsons and Randalls is long gone here. I think Ralphs is a sister cousin of our Kroger stores. And then there’s HEB and Wally World. Those 3 are the biggest ones we have. Sad state of affairs for the 4th largest city.
A lot of chains are “Krogers” including Safeway.
They hoovered them up too, just like PAC MAN!! Decent on groceries. HEB is actually lower, except mine. It’s a small old Randall’s store so they charge more. If I drive 15miles to a newly built HEB then prices are cheaper than Kroger. WW beats them both, but beware what you get there. I use them for cheaper staples. Their fruit usually rots quick. Some veggies are ok, inspect everything!! Sams is the place for lifetime supply of toilet paper and paper towels and cheap water and rotisserie chicken.😁
Wmart, OK for cheese, canned goods, meat (including bacon, not to mention bacon and let’s not forget, bacon).
I hate the other chains here because they all have deceptive “loyalty programs” and union labor.
Krogers has perks, an app, digital coupons, and from $ .10 -.40 off each gallon/gas depending how much you spend.
Much of which is bullshit.
When loyalty programs arrive, the store lowers prices to crazy-low levels for card holders for a few weeks. Eventually, the card prices become “normal,” pre-card-program prices and if you don’t have a card you get reamed in the ass at the checkout line.
It’s just another way to be tracked so they can hit you with advertising. FUCK that nonsense.
Get a card, use the app. Save money. EZ PZ! I can put my list in the app. I can also compare prices between Kroger and WW using the apps. Helps me to decide what I’m buying where.

Nah, it’s just groceries. They’ll ask did you forget something and show me stuff I bought before. Sometimes it’s a good reminder. The coupons are build it and come off the total. They send you coupons based on your buying habbits so I am saving on stuff I normally buy. And they gas is good. Since I get my meds there too, I almost always get $ .40 off a gallon. Need that now, especially in Creepy’s gas lines.
With Trump, I was buying $1.29 gas. Miss him!
Gas never once got below two bucks here during Trump’s term.
The lowest it got in the last twenty years was $1.69 during the Great Recession.

The gas deal is superb. Through our local Smith’s we have that gas deal discount deal. With the credit card we get .55 off, so long as we have points to add. Which we always do.
Commonly we can buy gift cards and get four times points. So, buy a $50 gift card for HD or Lowe’s and get 20 points. 90 day prescriptions used to be 150 points, they are now 75 points.

As Steve points out Safeway is with Kroger in some fashion, but I have not sorted out to what extent. The gas deal is available at some Safeway’s with gas stations.
Selected weekends and all summer along, they double our points. But they never let us use more than .40 off a gallon. Last year during pandemic when it took me 5 mos to use one tank of gas, I left over 1200 points on the table.

I swear if each brand couldnt hide behind the different names and labels on food, people would be shocked at the monotony.

Ralphs has closed lots of stores. The grocery market here is chock full of competition. Trader joes is pretty limited but i never go there. Aldis is the newest and Cardenas is a large chain from Mexico thats popular.
I should add that I was in the LA area; I’ve no idea if the Bay Area was the same or different.
My favorite grocery store in the Bay Area was Cosintino’s. I miss them and wonder if they have survived.
Oh wait, that’s in Missouri… I’ve lived too many places. Let me think about a similiar wonderful market in Silicon Valley…
There was a Cosentino’s in the Bay Area. They were a fine market. The family Italian ones were very good here. We currently have Lunardi’s and Zanotto’s.

Neither Zanotto’s nor Lunardi’s are particularly small — but they have real meat counters and the deli/prepared stuff is nice.
Up in Palo Alto, there’s Molly Stone’s, and another one I can’t recall the name of in a weird corner of Stanford Shopping Center (that may no longer be there).
And, then, there’s the international places that have spices or teas or staples like lentils and chickpeas.
Draeger’s in Menlo Park is fantastic, but expensive.
I forget the reason I read Ralph’s closed lots of stores in SoCal. Maybe Orange County or LA County specifically.
It may have been rampant theft by homeless, druggies or everyday shit head lefty’s. AND police doing nothing.
It started several years ago when they decided to make some stores higher end called “fresh fare”. Nice but didnt last. Many stores needed significant remodeling and they looked at the ralphs stores vs food 4 less and the neighborhood and just decided to shut them down. My city when we moved here had 3 ralphs. Now only 1, but its the newest and biggest. The other 2 were in bad shape.

My regular is a “Lucky” run by SaveMart. Used to be an Albertsons, run by (IIRC) Kroger. One of them (forget which) had the same customer card as Ralphs in SoCal.
The thing is, most of these “brands” are fake. They’re the same chains, but with differently named stores.
The same is true with air conditioners (Johnson Controls makes Coleman and York), water heaters, garbage disposers, car batteries, and a host of other things.
Always check. I love mandarin oranges in their own juice. Only Kroger brand makes and they come from Chyna!🤬 Now if you want them in syrup or syrup lite, or no sugar added, all those come from anywhere else. 🙄

Weve had fireworks going off last night and today since it got dark. Lots of people out. On my way home from our quick trip, the number of cars leaving CA before noon was staggering…and they still had hours of traffic 😒.
Couldnt find fireworks out of state. And san Bernardino county sells good ones in a few cities but nada this year.
Had to settle for party poppers and snappers. Kiddo still likes those at least. He wasnt like me even getting to do sparklers.
I hate to tell you this…we can get some of the smaller fireworks in the grocery stores. You have to go to the next county to get the good stuff.

I had not seen a pic of the Lee Resolution before. Seeing it on paper, in handwriting, highlights the universe-altering gravity of what was written in it and the Declaration and makes me think about the minds responsible for them. Not only were their lives changed, but also the world. It gives me chills to think about the moments of decision they faced leading up to this final act.
You can even see, written sideways as presented, the clerk’s notation of the states voting aye.
I hadn’t noticed that because it takes a little effort to decipher the handwriting. It makes it all very real.

30 terabytes is still more than you can get onto “a” hard drive, at least on any single hard drive I can find for sale in the “consumer” realm (the current top is 18 TB). However, it’s not hard to set up a NAS with at least that much capacity, even with some raiding to guard against failure.
But that’s going to take about a zillion years to get onto/off of the cloud even at today’s connection rates!

I believe Bannon is a true patriot who knows PDJT’s MAGA agenda is the only way forward. He took credit for some thigns and said some things he shouldn’t have (see my other post about this) and DID get fired, but has continued his work for the good of the country. I think Bannon got too big for his britches and portrayed himself as a king-maker. Bannon’s failure to support Don Jr. (and calling him treasonous!) was the last straw. At the same time, I think Bannon really believes in MAGA and is on our side. I imagine things got straightened out somewhat.

People want things to be rosy and to gloss over this history. I do not buy into any theory that this was all a show. There would be no reason for it. All of this being said, I think Bannon is doing a valuable service and is exactly where he needs to be now.

Just curious, I did not see where Crestview was a condo conversion. Their governing documents are locked but it appears that Florida requires a reserve fund so it wouldn’t be totally worthless, I don’t know if insurance would pay anything.
A man from NY who lost his mother and father to covid, then his wife to a brain tumor all since around December was written up in one of the papers here. He moved to Crestview in January, his daughter and her husband went to visit him the day before the the building collapsed.
In following the article it stated the board of directors quit in 2019 but came back in 2020. They were apparently having a hard time getting the owners to agree to a special assessment to cover the repairs.

Just finished participating in a small town USA Indpendence Day Parade and it was FANTASTIC to see everyone come out to watch and So Many decorate up their cars and participate.
Small town so very few “official” enteries from businesses or organizations. Just vehicles and trucks and horses and suvs/trucks hauling trailers decorated up.
Ours was for a political org and had a Huge response even though we ran out of candy toward the end and ran out of Made in the USA mini flags about 1/3 of the way through. Need plenty more for Christmas Parade and will know for next year. Our first time so had no idea what to expect.
It was a Blast! SO many Trump flags too!
Town had no plans for a parade but a local, extremely MAGA politician said, WHAT?! and put it all together in 14 days. So proud of him and so grateful that he did this as the town loved it and it was needed. One person made it happen and that is all it takes!
Anyway, lots of fun and recommend going out to watch parades if you are able as it will lift your spirits. We are not alone in our love of country.

I remember one time when I was about 16, I was over at a friend’s condo, doing the pool thing (because, as is usual in Newhall, it was hotter than blazes). This girl comes in through the gate in a bikini and flipflops, carrying a towel…..and she was moving in all the right directions, all at once. Timothy Blodgett, in an exchange with Rep. Herrera-Buetler during a hearing on Jan. 6 that appeared on C-SPAN, seems to have casually dropped the name.
“The situation where you discussed, where Officer [Byrd] was at the door when Ms. Babbitt was shot, it was our Sergeant at Arms employee who rendered the aid.”
It is interesting that Blodgett names an “Officer Byrd” in the context of Ashli Babbitt’s shooting. An African-American Lieutenant Mike Byrd was reported by Roll Call as having once left his service weapon in a bathroom in 2019.

It does not appear that there is a ‘mandate’ to take the vaxx in this situation. The defendant was given a choice, either take the vaxx and get 1 year probation, or refuse the vaxx and get 5 years probation.
The problem is that, according to the defendant, the judge violated the terms of the agreement.
If the defendant’s attorney has the plea agreement in writing, then the answer is to enforce the written agreement.
If the defendant’s attorney did NOT have the plea agreement in writing, then there never was any agreement, and the attorney should look for another line of work.
Unless he operates on the ‘Just Trust Us’ principle when dealing with government.
In which case, he should still look for another line of work.
Something which doesn’t require a lot of thinking or discernment.
