In Germany the dachshund brings the slippers when the owner comes home 🙂 They learned to make themselves useful in the household. My uncle had one he brought into the restaurant and he would quietly sleep under the table. One has to train them and to be firm just like any hunting dog.

There is no clear definition of it, and more than one nurse at different facilities said, “Oh, that’s just hospice.” So they are trying to ease people into hospice care without being candid about it. One elderly person I know had a palliative team and care plan put in place without their consent or that of their medical power of attorney. We need to be very wary.
That happens routinely in many hospitals.

We don’t live in the United States of America. We live under an oppressive regime located in Washington D.C. They are allowed to lie in court records, spy on Americans, and hold people without a trial. Federal judges are happy to approve these oppressive tactics.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KTXL) — Gov. Gavin Newsom will not be allowed to have his Democrat Party preference printed on the recall ballot, a judge decided Monday.
The judge’s decision comes after attorneys representing Newsom and Secretary of State Shirley Weber faced off in court for about an hour. Newsom then requested the Sacramento County judge make a decision on the issue in writing Monday.
Newsom was required to include his party preference in his reply to the recall petition in February of 2020. One of his lawyers who handled the paperwork admitted to the judge Friday he screwed up.
On Monday, the judge said this did not excuse his noncompliance with the law.

pgroup2 here. I can’t log in. When I clicked the login link at the upper right of this box, I got a 404 not found page. Figuring the redirect failed, I clicked the one in the sidebar. Same result with the added ‘not found on this server’.
After I last posted, I had a crisis: fever of 102; chills that made me shake; 135 pulse; so weak I couldn’t stand up. Called 911 who were so freaked out at my blood results that they used the siren!
ER put me in an isolation room (I am on their CCP [cranky covid patriot] list) My fever started to break with profuse sweating. ALL my labs from blood draws were in the normal range and no urine infection. They were stumped but while they were pondering, my fever went back to normal. Imagine that – the compromised immune system of a 73 year old beat whatever invaded me.
I suspect a bunch of prayers were made at the same time, and they work. ThanQ all.
I will repost this on the new Daily Thread because I posted this so late.
