It’s starting to look like, when people copy an embedded image from our blog and try to post it to our blog from certain browsers, it inserts a weird thing that starts with “blob:”.
You can embed quite a few things on the blog if you “copy image link” and strip out everything after the “.jpg” or “.png” or whatever.
But some “advanced” browsers try to also bring forward content and context and it doesn’t work right.

Coothie – I’m not a technophile – I don’t even have a smart phone – never used an app – never texted. My cell phone is a 2002 Nokia candy bar phone. No camera – no GPS.
I am a technophile — I got a smart phone as late as possible — I don’t use 95% of the apps that AT&T preloaded on the thing and don’t load new ones. The more you know about technology, the more you realize that smartphones are evil. I’ve never seen the great appeal of cameras in phones.
Even with a soap-bar phone, your cellphone carrier can triangulate your location with a resolution much finer than GPS can provide [unless you are in the way-far boonies], and they sell this to absolutely everyone without a warrant.
But what we’re really talking about here is whether you use your two old Macbook pros for copying and pasting links on theqtree. If you don’t, just keep on truckin’. If you have, and you ever got some weird response with “blob” in it, please try to recollect the circumstances and post the tale.

Hi Wolf! Ground report. Yesterday, I started having trouble using Safari to access WordPress and your site (using my normal login). I had deleted all my cookies to solve some other issue that I can hardly remember now. It should have been simple but ummm. Not so much. LOL I’ve gone round and round. I can get here using Chrome but am a guest even though I got logged in at your site (using a Google acct) though it shows me with a paused user account from a company I had not worked for in the last year. I can also login using a new google acct but have not been able to get logged in to my original WordPress acct. When I try, WP does a redirect back to home when I try to login there and leaves me at a blank window with just their logo. I’ve tried various fixes but so far, no luck.
For now, I’m just glad to be here and be able to Like stuff. It at least remembers my name, email, and website so I don’t have to type that when commenting. Eventually, I’ll get new hardware but do wonder if Safari (12.1.2 on Sierra with 2017 iMac) could be one of those “certain” operating systems. Or perhaps some of this people go through could be due to setting up an acct using our Google or other login info and then forgetting about that cross connection. I access the internet using wifi so the OS updates are way too big for me to update online. That is why I am still back on Sierra (10.12.6) and sometimes sites like LinkedIn tell me I need to update. Hope I’m not a tech troublemaker somehow. 🙂

Yes – it looks like it’s displaying you as a guest. If you have a WordPress account, try logging into wordpress.com in a separate tab, and make sure that it remembers you (check the box) and THEN do not log out, once you’re logged in – just kill the tab. That will create an active cookie and leave it there.
THEN you should be able to log into THIS site, using the login at the end of the sidebar, and using “Log In With WordPress” to log in – provided that your browser allows third party cookies ON THIS SITE (you may have to specify in any privacy software).

I point this out to my Mom fairly often. She has Fox News on 24/7. Their propaganda is so obvious to me at this point that I have to turn it off or leave the room, because my blood starts to boil at the lies and manipulation.
Mom doesn’t understand, says it doesn’t affect her at all. Claims she knows how to tell the propaganda from the truth, so it doesn’t affect her.
So I ask her a few quick questions, proving how it has obviously affected her, both her mood (agitated) and her understanding of events that have been clearly disproven at least a week earlier (usually longer) online.

I have an on-and-off project of rewatching all of the media I was exposed to during my younger years. I call it an “archaeological dig.” It was disturbing to realize how much of an influence it had on me in ways I didn’t understand at the time or could even see until now. I’ve had stuff show up in dreams from a movie I watched once twenty years ago, and I didn’t even make the connection until I started this project. There’s part of the unconscious mind that simply doesn’t forget and interprets these images in ways that the conscious mind doesn’t. Nobody is immune to it. The CIA knows this from all of their sick psychological experiments, and has developed ways of abusing it. When President Trump calls the media the “Enemy of the People,” it’s not just for the blatantly obvious reasons.

I suspect they care more about destabilizing America than they do about helping the Left, at least with this operation. They’re cheap as chips right now, with all the Black Friday specials, and substantially faster (and shockproof to boot)(unless you hit it with a sledgehammer 🙂 )… Crucial MX500 and Samsung 870 are good (but not the QVO-type memory). Probably Newegg and Amazoon have specials, and if you have a Microcenter near you, they often have really good in-store specials…

Cuppa gave you some great advice. Black Friday/Cyber Monday is an excellent time to replace computer parts, and SSDs are very much worth it. You will be shocked at how fast everything runs on one. Strongly recommended. I stick with the Seagate brand for hard drives.
I’ve had zero issue with Western Digital.
(I swore off Seagate years and years ago because at the time (barely at the start of Windows over DOS) their drives had this annoying software that was supposed to make it run faster, but instead just conflicted with other software I wanted to install. It turned out to be totally unnecessary, but I still resented them playing such games. On the other hand, I use their “passport” USB drives quite a lot today; again, I simply ignore their cruft software.)
But realistically, unless you have a terabyte of stuff or more, SSDs are the way to go now. I’m at the point where I’ll boot off a “small” SSD (250 GB) and keep data, pictures, music, etc. on spinning platter hard drives.
Newer machines have some kind of card that goes directly into the motherboard and is blindingly fast, but DePat would have to buy a totally new box to use those.
NVMe, runs directly off the system bus (as it were). Even 2TB SSDs are relatively cheap, but then go up asymptotically.
The MX500s are 550-560MB/s read, 510MB/sec write; the NVMe drives are 3500/3300 (970 EVO Plus TLC) read/write on PCIe 3.0, the ones for 4.0 (980 PRO) are something like 7000/5100 MB/sec.
(and cost a fair chunk of change, for now)…
The NVMe drives, though, are breathtakingly fast… and the IOPS are ridiculously high (around one million IOPS! according to the following review). I can remember in the good old, VERY OLD days when HP was touting the 25 IOPS of their new 7925 disc drives 🙂 And that was fast at the time…

Seagate had a bad series (forget the name of it) that REALLY had problems, and tarnished their brand. IBM also had their DeskStar (renamed DeathStar) which had a ton of problems – I think the platters were glass(!) IIRC… Their disk drive division (wherever it is now; I think part of WD Enterprise line) makes great drives… Somehow the thought of 18TB on one device makes me blanch, but with redundancy (and backups) it’s all OK… Backblaze keeps track of that stuff…
I actually bought a NAS that is running 5 6TB drives in what is (basically) a raid 6 configuration with a sixth drive serving as a hot spare–18TB capacity. Two other 8TB drives in that box serve as in-box backups since I’m not even actually above 2TB yet.
Try giving your hard drive an electro-shock treatment to bring it back to life.

Years ago, before it was a Commie nightmare, I visited a friend in Australia. Her parents had a “ranch” in the Outback. I mistakenly called it a “station,” and they laughed at me. A station has 100,000 acres or more, and they had a mere 33,000!
Anyway, I wanted to see a koala in the wild. They said that’s unlikely, as there are “lots of trees, and a few koalas,” but we’d try.
So we’re out walking up a dry wash in the Australian winter (a balmy 70 degrees), in chest-high grass I could only see through two feet in any direction, and it occurs to me to ask if there are snakes. “Oh, no,” they say, “it’s winter, they are hibernating! We might see a lizard, though.”
Innocently I ask “what kind of lizard, and how big are they?”
“The frilled ones,” my host replied. “Only three or four feet. If we stumble onto one, they’ll just run up a tree and spread out at us!”
I almost fainted. I could not get the hell out of there fast enough!
I did eventually see a koala in a tree, in the wild, only twenty feet above my head. But that was in a clearing. No more high grass in Australia for me!
I see frilled lizards in pet shops and they aren’t nearly that big. Certainly NOT like in that GIF. Bearded dragon size, tops. But it appears I am seeing young ones:
According to Wikipoo (which I will trust on lizard descriptions, since they’re not climate changes, epidemiology, or elections), they get up to 85 cm which is about 34 inches…that’s longer than beardies but not as bulky looking (and most of that length is tail). Nor is it a matter of different species, there’s only the one (Chlamydosaurus). They can walk on their hind legs. They live in North Australia and New Guinea (they don’t hang out near Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, but probably near Darwin). I’d certainly not be freaked out by one. There are considerably larger lizards in Australia including perenties (large monitor lizards, Aussies say “goanna” instead of “monitor”).
Quck edit: I just saw one range map that does run around the northeast down to the Brisbane area, so basically, Northern Territory coast AND the entire Queensland coast.
I think it is possible the Aussie rancher was exaggerating to see if I would run!

Back-boosting is basically the phenomenon of “poking a sleeping dog” – waking up and further imprinting the OLD response to a prior virus exposure. In this case, a DIFFERENT VIRUS. Well, that is part of “natural immunity” as well as vaccination. That’s much like getting COVID, and having some immunity due to waking up of old related coronavirus immunity. But when you wake it up, you further imprint it. Thus the idea of “back-boosting”.
If the old virus doesn’t change, it’s good. If the old virus does change, it may be bad – particularly if evolution has INTENTION in “forgetting the old setting”. LOSING old immunities likely has a PURPOSE.
The authors of the original paper viewed it as positive – and that would be consistent with the assumption that NATURAL INFECTION by OC43 creates GOOD ANTIBODIES. But Denninger’s view that this is a BAD THING is possible IF there is standard mutation in OC43, and it morphs into something where that back-boost is a NEGATIVE – which is entirely possible.
I think his assumption that this is bad would be better expressed as a WORRY.

Actually, Dred Scott only ruled on the issue of standing. Most of the opinion (approx 200 pages) is dicta. It only had to do with whether a slave could have standing to petition the Court for relief. The opinion said no, because a slave was property and property had no rights. IMO, the Dred Scott opinion was correct on the standing issue (despite Chief Justice Taney being a racist).
But Taney went on to decide other big issues in favor of slavery. Taney wanted a clean sweep of all the legal issues. IIRC, whether those decisions were dicta or not was hotly debated then (although they WERE dicta). Regardless, the decision went out of its way to antagonize the North, and it succeeded.

Well, we had our telemed with the North Jersey doc today. All clear – back to weekly Vitamin Eye and supplements/gargle. Hubby still negative after 3rd Binax. I’m going to continue the Mercola nebulizer thing once a day, working down to a couple of times a week. I can taste OJ, citrus cough drops, and junky cinnamon cereal. Not full-on taste, but very recognizable. Still no smell. Appetite is OK, and nothing tastes horrible so it’s all a plus. But good Lord did I take a massive amount of pills over the last 10 days.
Found out from doc that there’s a compounding pharmacy in Mendham (in the ritzy way north, near Bedminster) – Robinson’s – that does Vitamin Eye. Will check tomorrow for $$$ to see if it’s reasonable. We still have a decent amount of the Edenbridge/3mg stuff – made in NJ. And of course enough of the international for a couple of years. 👍🏻

Kyle was only eligible for bail in Kenosha.
#FightBack went to work for raise the bail by posting a specific link for donors to contribute specifically to Kyle’s bail fund. #FightBackraised approximately $1,250,000 specifically directed for Kyle’s bail.
I solicited a $50,000 donation to #FightBack from my brother in Christ, Mike Lindell, that was directed to the #FightBack general fund account as requested by Mike.

I was told by someone that the actor Rick Schroder was willing to help on the bail effort for Kyle so I contacted Rick.
I told Rick about the specifically designated funds of $1,250,000 and that the #FightBack board was willing to go ALL in to raise the bail by using the $600,000 in its general account. The combination left #FightBack $150,000 shy of the $2M cash bail.
Rick generously agreed to loan #FightBack $150,000 to make the bail of $2M provided #FightBack executed a written promissory note which he insisted be also personally guaranteed by me.
While I was not thrilled with being personally guaranteeing the #FightBack promissory note to Rick, I agreed to do so because I thought it was important to Kyle’s safety to have the bail posted as soon as possible.

Kyle’s lead criminal defense attorney at the time, John Pierce, who was working with Mark Richards, Kyle’s other criminal defense lawyer, informed #FightBack that the bail could either be delivered in person by #FightBack to Kenosha or could be wired to his law firm’s escrow account from which he, as the agent for #FightBackfor the one transaction, would issue a certified check for the $2M bail.
For obvious reasons, #FightBack elected to wired the funds to Pierce’s law firm’s escrow account. Kyle was thereafter freed from jail.
I was never engaged to be Kyle’s criminal defense attorney. While I was included in some of the early team calls due to #FightBack’s willingness to help with Kyle’s legal defense costs, ALL final decisions were made by Kyle’s criminal defense attorneys.
I received a photo from John Pierce of Kyle after his release of Kyle along with John and Rick Schroder at his side.
I was proud of the donors to #FightBack for freeing Kyle. The credit for this good deed belongs to each of the individual donors. #FightBack was the deliver vehicle to deliver the blessings bestowed by the individual Patriots who made Kyle’s release possible.

Sometime after the bail was posted for Kyle, #FightBack learned that attorney John Pierce had signed a document with the clerk of court stating that upon the return of the bail, it should be sent to him at his home address.

The law is clear. The bail funds must be returned to the entity who posted the bail – #FightBack.
#FightBack thereafter filed the necessary notices with the clerk of court to insure that the bail funds were lawfully returned to #FightBack as required by law and not unlawfully misappropriated by others.
Upon receipt of the bail funds, #FightBack will use the funds consistent with its mission set forth in writing when it was incorporated as a 501(c)(4) non-profit foundation, i.e., to defend and protect the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. No board member receives compensation for their work on the board.
#FightBack elected to help Kyle last year due to the Second Amendment issues raised in his prosecution. #FightBack takes pride in its efforts and the contributions of its donors in fighting for justice.

Why did some whiz bang lawyer immediately with great fan fare say he was going to defend Kyle. ONLY TO DISAPPEAR, the lawyer that is.
AND. After the Not Guilty verdicts, Kyle’s lead lawyer in an interview CLEARLY said his earlier lawyers were on a Crusade OR pursuing a Cause. This lead lawyer told Kyle he would defend Kyle, NOT A Cause or Crusade.
^^^ When I listened to this interview, alarm bells went off in my mind. We WOULD hear more about this in time.

Were there reports that Wood said he would defend Kyle (with great fanfare)? I think there has been a lot of disinformation about the whole affair.
Several days ago, in posts earlier than the ones I posted here, Lin Wood expressed concern about the people influencing Kyle.
I haven’t seen anything that I can tell is false from Wood. I do see a mistaken (false) report from others (Gen. Flynn, Jack Posobiec) that Mike Lindell posted Kyle’s bail. At the Telegram link I posted, there is a 1-minute video (which I can’t post here) of Lindell on Jimmy Kimmel. Lindell says he gave Lin Wood’s foundation (FightBack) the money, and it went to a general fund. Lindell did not provide money specifically to bail out Rittenhouse. That’s just false. We’ll see if those spreading this will correct the record.

Kyle’s primary lawyer indicated Kyle’s words are accurate. At this point, I’ll take Kyle’s word.
As for Lin Wood, Flynn and the rest of them, they have money making machines to perpetuate. They likely intend the best, for their stated cause. Likely a portion of their money making machine supports individual livelihood.

Lin Wood was NEVER part of any defense team. He is not a defense attorney. According to him, he was retained by Kyle’s mother for defamation matters after the trial.
The family “spokesperson” – David Hancock – is former CIA – Tore posted at 1AM that he worked with Brennan. Never mind all the crap he pulled hacking #fightback’s donor rolls, and the phony foundation he set up for relatives of slain SEALs where he was stealing the money. There is a court case regarding the latter, so it cannot be disputed.
Just one little tidbit in all this. If Lin Wood stated that Ricky Schroeder LOANED the $150K to get them to the 2 million as opposed to DONATING it, and demanded a promissory note, and that were not true — isn’t that a slam dunk lawsuit for Schroeder?
There is something very not right about this. Lin Wood doesn’t need the money – he owns two plantations in SC and God knows what else. He has millions from the Sandmann work. He humiliated the FBI defending Richard Jewell. And he stands behind Jon McGreevey’s story regarding Roberts, Pence, Rosenstein, Seth Rich et al. This all out attack is how they retaliate from the shadows. I absolutely believe Lin Wood.

OK – I get it. There is a big difference between “putting up bail money” and “contributing to a defense fund”.

Lin Wood has earned, at a minimum, serious stink eye. From me any way. Kyle’s interview confirms some of what I’ve suspected for quite a while.
There is also a big difference between the legal requirement that the money be returned to the entity that loaned it — FightBack, which is working on the 2020 election — and stating that Lin Wood is trying to personally take the money from Kyle (which I saw alleged somewhere). Something is really off here.

One thought semi related to this, I was impressed watching Richards and liked how he slipped in that he lived 13 miles from Kenosha. I think being local and him slipping that in helped establish his authenticity with the jury.
Incase anyone you meet in your travels needs to be set straight. Lower tweet vid shows multiple separate strikes passing through eight separate intersections.
Brooks could have turned at any of the eight intersections of the parade route to stop the carnage. He deserves a painful death by execution in prison.
