Keeping up with all the machinations of the other side and trying to make sense of the news which is supposed to be unlocking whatever is going on that we are not seeing is quite the chore. Thanks to someone here at the tree, the site Anonymous Conservative has become part of the daily routine in place of some of the more time consuming Telegram accounts (there are only so many hours in the day, and many irons in the fire…and then I still have to get to housework).
Daily, AC always has great links to news related to the fight as well as analysis from an intelligence community perspective on who may or may not be white hat or suspicions on who is faking it. (AC did a whole thing on Patrick Byrne probably being an intelligence asset for decades on Monday.)
Well, over the weekend, this about one of the few television series I followed after pretty much giving up the boob tube came up in a discussion about Roger Stone:
Everything in intelligence is misdirection. That is why I think it wise to watch a show like Burn Notice and ignore the campy aspect and grasp how people’s perceptions of reality can be twisted by natural assumptions that fill out just a little bad information into a completely wrong picture of reality.
There were a lot of people who tried Burn Notice on for size and either couldn’t follow it, or had some real problems with the level of violence, but it is true. The characters were constantly dealing with having to straighten out perceptions as opposed to reality. Bruce Campbell, of course, lent credibility to the whole effort. The whole series is available on YT, and as soon as I can get some stuff off my plate, I have every intention of binge watching.
That approach to the whole idea of “spying” might well explain this:

I know, carbs suck. I’ve been using layers of long sliced ham and monty jack cheese as bread – Easily roll up pickles/boiled eggs/bacon/veggies inside. Or as a pie crust for eggs/veggie casserole. That’s pretty darn yummy! 😋 I try to make that weekly, it’s high protein, low carb, can’t taste the kale or spinach, gives you energy. My Will finds a way!!🤩
There’s a company out there that uses slices of chicken breast where others would do bread. They make enchiladas, calzones, that sort of thing.
They even have little pizzas, which I cannot get to work well in the microwave (and stores here no longer carry them).
Some of their products, however, have the anathema: Cauliflower “dough.”
While the low carb bread replacements seem like a good idea, when you read the ingredients it is pretty bad. Unless you make from scratch at home and control what you put in it.
Still not worth the hassle.

I do several dishes where I start by pounding chicken breasts flat (on a board, between tinfoil). One of the more difficult things when I first started doing that was going, “am I allowed to do this?”

The judicial system is supposed to mostly run itself, and only rarely involve SCOTUS for anything — otherwise, why do we keep so many black-robed perfumed princes on the public payroll. The constant rush to present cases to the SCOTUS in order to get immediate relief and preclude the possibility of reversal is flooding them with utter crap. There have been several decades of worse and worse practices leading us to this state of affairs, and the steps back from this brink will first be tentative and small……and seemingly wrong-headed on occasion.
Note that this “request from 20 plaintiffs” is NOT a “request from 20 states”. This is a request from plaintiffs in New York. Where the hell are NY state judges here? Why is it a Federal case at all? If it is a Federal case, why should it merit SCOTUS’ consideration?
That said, I see Alito and Thomas (and Gorsuch in this instance) as practicing “broken-window judicial management”. If you royally curb-stomp egregious flaking by laying down the rules quickly and firmly, perhaps you get less egregious flaking. That is, of course, a valid option (and one I’d tend to favor). The liberal wing (Kagan, Sotomayor, Breyer the walking corpse) is trying to stir up trouble and destroy western civilization. The Naifs (Kavanaugh, ACB, and Roberts) are taking the position that they will stand upon normal procedure to tame the upstarts — which is, of course, how we ended up getting here in the first place.
Fundamentally, the problem with SCOTUS — their Original Sin, as it were — is that they have frequently leapt into controversial topics and exceeded their remit. They leapt into a case about one segregated school and ended up with forced busing and mandated enrollment levels; they leapt into a case about one abortion and set national abortion policy for six decades; the leapt into a case about voting rights in one district and supervised election policies in several states….. This was not only dumb on the obvious level, it also made SCOTUS an attractive end-run around proper political methods for activist factions — why bother to have a dialogue on abortion in 50 states where each state’s balance or rights and values can be weighed, when you can just convince 5 well-insulated SCOTUS Justices? And the third-level effects of the original sin is that EVERYTHING becomes a run for SCOTUS.
The thing is, had the naifs been in charge for the last 60 years, perhaps SCOTUS would not have committed so many Original Sins, and there wouldn’t be so many festering controversies papered over with badly conceived judicial overreach, and activists would go back to bribing Congressmen for laws to impose on their despised neighbors. But they weren’t — and I don’t see how sweetness and light is going to reverse the 60 years of poor choices.
You would be shocked to know the size of the clerks’ romper room. The justices accept the recommendations of their clerks too easily. If you called the clerks ‘lobbyists’, you’d be real close to accurate. They come out of leftist colleges and they promote their leftist views, much as you described.

Embedding something in the road would be much more precise, effective, and foolproof (as in, if the guide for the road disappeared, perhaps the road has also done so in a landslide).

And whatever the answer is, double it, since the engineers and construction companies can’t build or pave a road in the 21st century that lasts more than 6 months before it needs to be rebuilt.

The article actually goes into several good reasons.
“Snowplow drivers are paid comparatively low salaries, driving the trucks requires a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), and the job requires working in dangerous conditions at odd hours of the day, usually early in the morning or late at night.” and “there is a high demand for CDL drivers and diesel mechanics in other industry sectors”.
Sure enough, there’s also “LaBoe also noted that Washington had 151 winter operations workers quit over their refusal to comply with the state’s vaccine mandate.” And “Drivers also need to be trained to load their trucks with salt, sand, and brine before they even learn a route.”
These reasons have several obvious corollaries — (1) Don’t require a CDL. Have some other (easier) credential like “HEIR” (“Heavy Equipment for Impassable Roads”). A CDL enables you to be a trucker — there is only about a 5% crossover between trucker skills (weight limits, drugs/alcohol impairment, keeping regulatory logs, mandatory sleep periods, interstate transport regulations) and snowplow skills (finding the edge of the road, applying salt / sand / brine, running the plow, drugs/alcohol impairment, dealing with obstacles).
(2) Fire any a**hole talking about mask or vaccine mandates on skilled personnel.
(3) And, a giant one that stuck out to me — what’s this about “learning a route”? Aren’t these things documented?!?!? Aren’t roads somehow universally marked so that a snowplow can use the roads’ markings to do a plow?!?!? Shouldn’t this system be able to work in a blizzard during a power outage?
“Road markings” go out the window up on the high passes in winter. There are stakes designed to stick up out of deep snow, but if you weren’t well trained, you could drive right off a cliff, literally.

On our mountain, VDOT pays local contractors who have very large green John Deere tractors with plows that run up/down our side of the mountain during snow/ice storms. They run through the night as needed and probably change out drivers at the bottom of the mountain periodically. Typically, there are two large tractors followed by one VDOT snow plow truck that sprays chemicals behind them. I can’t say what happens on the other side of the mountain because the county line is at the top so it is a different VDOT office making decisions. On our western side, I always am so grateful to watch them running from the safety of my warm home. Other than their sounds, it is wonderfully quiet and beautiful during winter storms.

Besides the reasons mentioned in the article, there is also the fact that snow-plowing is hard on the trucks themselves. And with the low pay, how does the owner-operator finance the maintenance and repairs on the truck? It might not work financially. Though there are companies that take up this bill, so it might be less of a problem for them.

I don’t think you get many owner-operators for plow vehicles. They’d mainly be owned by governments in charge of road maintenance. Being able to swap in additional operators, especially with the “surgy” demand, would seem like a good idea.
Owner operators would do the back streets where the big trucks can’t get in. That’s always where the worst messes are when it comes to snow removal. They are usually guys who otherwise sell firewood out of the back of their F250s. You need an engine that big to push the snow. Snow is heavy.
And there are reasons why CDLs are required for the government departments of transportation. The trucks they use on the highways here are the size of dump trucks. They are literally commercial vehicles.
The interesting thing, IMO, is the clot shot resistance. I’ve thought for a while that might be why we’ve got a labor issue. That topic comes up over and over. The people are holding the line and putting themselves and their livelihoods, etc., on the line to do it, too.

BTW. Plenty of fresh snow out there this morning.
I’ll tell you what. One of the last big snows here, MoDOT asked employers and the schools if they would please let everyone out at noon as the storm was due at about two in the afternoon. They wanted everyone home and off the highways to have clear lanes to be able to put the trucks across in what they call a plow gang or something like that. The one in the far left lane leads, and the snow goes across the highway and off the shoulder that way.
This being STL, and it being a Friday afternoon when employers are NOTORIOUS for demanding work until five, did they heed the warning? NOOOOO. Well, the high schools did, so the teenagers weren’t on the roads, but the adults were. As soon as flakes appeared, THEN the bosses said let’s go, and MoDOT got blamed for poor road conditions when they couldn’t get the trucks in position to plow because of all the cars.
It’s always better here when the storms hit in the late evening or overnight. By morning, the main streets and the highways are usually at least passable.
And it is all driving independent business creation. Another couple of years and all those ‘sitting it outs’ will be operating as self-employed.
And loving it.

This very specific secret video supplied to the prosecution at a critical time in the trial makes me believe in my heart that Kyle as well as the attackers that he shot were set up.
The ones that he shot were unstable, one had recently been released with mental issues IIRC. They were the very stereotypes that Creamer said they used for ops. Kyle was pictured with some of the boogaloo crew which I also believe to be glowies. They were armed but seemed to vanish during the night but there was Kyle, all by himself.
By himself, being filmed by a very accurate drone, not some yahoo’s inexpensive drone. Pretty suspect to me. Then this footage never appeared until the prosecution needed a heavy hitting piece of evidence . Also suspect to me.

Agreed. I also agree that the level of operations involved were way to large in scale and scope to not have a specific result intended. We’ve all seen the reddit write up of the potential landscape of the op.
However, I don’t feel the outcome of the incident could have been predictable or set up.
Too many moving parts and random outcomes to be able to ‘have a plan’.
Maybe KR was being set up to be the victim of antifa violence. I doubt the three antifa dooches were being set up to be kia’d by KR, as that would required expecting KR’s proficiency. Could he foil that plot by being proficient?
If KR was kia during the night, what would the narrative be then? Was that the intended outcome? If so, why was KR allowed to survive? Was it too chancy to ‘complete the mission’ after the first 3 fails due to too many eyes on or KRs by-the-book post-confrontation actions?

A few weeks ago, I noticed a lot of weird numerology pointing to Christmas Eve. Specifically, the Christmas parade attack (11/21) happening exactly 33 days before Christmas Eve. It seemed rather ritualistic to me, like they’ve got something terrible planned for Christmas, but I let it go. Well, now even Dan Scavino is making cryptic comments about Christmas and referencing a red SUV (the Christmas parade attack vehicle), so I’m just putting this all out there.

My brother ran into an old friend/neighbor today. Long story short, they both ended up a couple of parishes over due to issues in the parish where we live. My parents defected to the parish south, and I…well, no matter. Anyway, I had seen this man and his wife and their three youngest (out of eight) at the Cathedral a number of times, and it seems they have been going to Mass there over the mask thing. The parish they and my brother belong to is mask happy, and the choir director wants everyone masked and jabbed, and both of these men said, NO in no uncertain terms. So, my brother is not singing in the choir anymore, and this friend who is a really good guy with a beautiful tenor voice have jumped to another ship over this nonsense. At this point, the Cathedral is somewhat a magnet for a lot of us, because they really don’t care about the mask thing or jabs there.
Interesting in the overall scheme of things.
It’s really good to know that 1) there is a parish that doesn’t care about masks and vaccines, and 2) that people are congregating there. 👍🏼

How ’bout COVID?
Last day of my 10 day businesses trip. Finally. Working in northern Washington state. Stopped in a fast food joint for some work. Had to move a bunch of stuff to do it. Manger apologized for the mess. Dinning room was closed and I asked if that was still required. She said no, but she is short about 12 employees so she really can only run the drive through.
The funny part was she said when she gets complaints from customers about service etc she just says, “that’s build back better for you”.
Loved it. The down note is every where I go, multiple States, the lack of employees is a huge issue. 2022 going to be a tough one.

Even here, u see long lines at the drive thru, every drive thru. And long lines at the costco and sams gas.
Same here, and I saw a post on local social media explaining what’s happening. It’s a combination of:
1) Fast food restaurants going drive-thru only because of staff shortages
2) Delivery drivers from services like Grubhub and UberEats clogging up the lines because they’re making several orders at once.
Ohhhh!!! That 2nd one makes a lot of sense. They shouldnt be able to do that, should need to make the order on app.
“Picking up multiple orders” is what I should have said. I genuinely don’t know how exactly the delivery orders are placed, but the ultimate result is that some (or many depending on who you ask) of vehicles there are waiting for multiple orders which need to be packaged and billed separately.
This reminded me of something I experienced at the grocery store recently. I was in line at the deli, and there was a uniformed store employee in front of me with a cart. He was working for some delivery service. He goes up to the deli, makes order after order after order, and puts each deli package in a separate basket. This held up the line for several minutes. I encountered him later blocking up the milk case with his cart while he was picking out milk for the delivery orders. I don’t have any ill-will against this employee, but it’s a sign of the times of how these third-party delivery services impact us whether we’re using them or not.

RF, I buy Jimmy Johns pretty regularly. The manager of my place was all alone (!) a week or so ago. Said he can’t keep people bc they make almost as much on on unemployment than he pays…He says he refuses to raise his minimum wage, as he needs to make a profit…and this is a very busy location!

The Dairy Queen here in our town has been drive-through only for months. A couple of other places just opened the dining area back up. Almost every business in town has up help wanted signs. The best donuts in town, from a small grocery, are unavailable for the foreseeable future because of staff shortages. Many stores have reduced hours.
It’s a nightmare, and you are right, it is only going to get worse.
