Short story. All Tennessee Vol football fans know the storied background and history of Gen. Robert Neyland. He served a a Brigadier General in the Corp ofEngineers in WWI in France and after the war as an aide to Gen. MacArthur. Being an athlete, he went on after that to be an assistant coach at West Point after graduating from MIT. After that he became a professor at UT in Knoxville and took over coaching the football team a year later in 1926. All they did was win – a lot – with 5 undefeated seasons in 6 years. He then headed to the Panama Canal on military assignment and returned to UT to coach a couple of years later only to win again – a lot – until WWII when he reentered the Army and also served as a coach for one of their regional All Star teams during the period. After the war, he returned to UT and started winning again – a lot – including a couple of national championships. He then became AD until his death. He had a record of 173-31-12 and only lost 17 games in the conference in his entire career of 20 seasons there. The great Bear Bryant said the General taught him everything he knew about football. In seven total attempts Bear never defeated the General and his teams.
He developed, and it is still displayed and followed at UT, the 7 Maxims (principles) for playing the game. Some of which apply to everything in life. The one applicable for today IMO is:

I did a little checking, and there are several different ‘pitcher plants’ around the world.
But this one…the Sarracenia Purpurea, is the one that Dr. Zelenko specifically mentions.

The big plant is the pitcher plant. The “groundcover” that surrounds it is sphagnum moss. I have a setup much like this outside on my patio.

Pitcher plants, sundews, butterworts, flytraps, and other carnivorous plants all like to keep their feet wet — and need as few nutrients (besides insects) as possible. If you use tapwater to water them, they get bad and thorough salt-burn. Collected rainwater, distilled water, or industrial DI water do very well at keeping them alive. Fertilizer and real dirt are very bad for them.

Another beneficial thing is a *front* window defroster for the place where windshield wipers “sit” when they’re off, and also where snow accumulates at the driver’s side edge of the windshield.
I would settle for a working defroster or at least finding my brass window scrappers.
Do you know how long a diesel takes to actually warm up on a cold day?
I am pulling into the parking lot of the store when it FINALLY starts getting warm.
Over here, at least for diesel cars/trucks, we have “preheaters” (Zuheizer) built in, or “Standheizung”, which actually warms the oil and water in the motor as well as the interior of the vehicle. As soon as the temps dip below 5°C, the zuheizer kicks in when starting the car; Standheizung, otoh, is started by remote control (or a dash switch), as it warms more than just the engine.
Better still is a block heater, which (IIRC) uses one of the blind plugs in the engine block to allow a heating element space to heat up the coolant (sounds contradictory, but appearently works quite well in places like Calgary, etc.). This then plugs into the wall (outdoor outlet) for power (120/240V).
(no)Thanks to the Greens, gas engines here are getting smaller and smaller (cars are taxed by displacement) so, for instance, my wife’s Golf Plus has a 1.4ltr engine, with turbocharger to make up for the fact that it’s not the equivalent normally-aspirated 2.0ltr. engine. Of course, with the smaller cooling capacity that goes with that, there is less coolant to warm and circulate through the heater core. So it takes a looooooong time to warm up. Her Golf III with a 2.4 (IIRC) motor warmed up much faster….
[Then again, there’s always Siberia, where they keep their diesels running 24×7, otherwise they won’t start 🙂 ⛄ I don’t think gas-powered cars run there at all…]…..
My trucks have plugs so we can plug them in but it is not worth it when it doesn’t go much below 20F here in NC It is just a bit of a pain.
I actually use a vest or sweater vest most of the winter and rarely wear a coat.

In 1977, I checked my Chem Engineering news. As a female with a BS in Chemistry, financially a sex change was more lucrative than getting my masters degree in chemistry.
My daughter coming out of College 30 years ago with masters in Physical – Chemistry from Northwestern was not able to get a job. She finally worked for Kelly temp at a water treatment plant for $6, 95 an hour. From there she worked different places since it was Kelly Temp she next moved to $10, 95 and hour. Lucky she had no College depth since she had a free ride all the way through College including Master.
She now makes lots of money but she worked her way up with grit and did not let anyone push her around. She is good very good in what she does and has no problems competing with any man even hanging sheet rock 🙂 On a summer job in College the interviewer ask her “what else she could do ? She said “hang sheet rock”. she got the office summer job and the boss loved her answer 🙂
In her field she gets paid like a man.
I was 20 years earlier. And a degree in Physical Chemistry is HARD TO GET. I hated P-Chem.
Yes it is hard to get specially if the professors are not keen of women. She opted out of PhD and is glad she did.

That is a stupid argument they use, and it is completely un-provable. You can’t prove that something would or wouldn’t have happened if you have prevented it from ever happening.
In other words, Liz Warren can’t produce an unvaccinated Liz Warren to infect with the current virus to see how sick she would get. That’s not how it works.
The most you can do is statistical comparisons between large groups of vaxxed and unvaxxed. And even that (assuming just for the sake of argument that it shows the vaccine helps most of the time) wouldn’t necessarily indicate that in one particular case the vaccine didn’t make it worse or have no effect.
I wouldn’t trust those dweebs to do such a study properly though.
The problem with that kind of study is viruses mutate. The original strain of Covid, that the so-called vaxx was developed for, probably exists nowhere in nature anymore.

I have had that bagpipes thing my whole life. Of course, when I pursued genealogy seriously, I found out why! A huge part of me is Scottish. I am related to some of the really wild ones in history.
My mom got into genealogy in a big way and came up with a great-aunt who came over from Ireland. She made it to America, only to fall off a potato truck and be impaled on a pitchfork — which sounds like the epitome of Irishness.
Some of the stories I find in genealogy are tragic. Some are funny. Some are both. Yikes!

The date of this exhibit is copyrighted 2001. The exhibit was part of a centennial celebration of 100 years of home economics.
I was hired in 1999. On my first day I was given a calendar as part of the orientation packet. The calendar’s theme was 100 years of Home Economics, in celebration of this upcoming centennial. They had a daycare program on the campus that was research when I was on staff.
I suspect that the entire facilities organization was used as an opportunity for research by the ILR. What business sends their entire organization to 9 days of off site training in organizational values?
The trainings were designed by Facilities HR staff people out of ILR. When I attended, the training was at a facility designed and built by university staff, and owned by the VP/CFO’s head of HR. This person had the contract for training the entire organization.
Later, I was part of a team that designed a pool house addition for another of the facilities HR leadership, to be built by facilities skilled trade staff, at the direction of the university architect.
This was so in your face, that the VP/CFO spoke at one of the inaugural training days at the facility to allay concerns about any seeming conflict of interest.
The inaugural group trained at the facility named themselves the “Highland Lab Rats” during the course of the 9 day program. (Highland Lodge was the name of the training facility).
The VP/CFO later retired. His position was then endowed by the family of the US Secretary of Energy which paid the salary of his replacement.

I sometimes wonder if they could have picked a more idiotic thing to sue about.
They’re complaining that the Trump organization uses different values for its assets depending on whether it’s talking about property tax, income tax (depreciation), insurance, bank loans (past), bank loans (future), or other such purposes.
Mind you, this was a surprise to me when I first encountered it as a naive fledgling accountant in 1983, but it’s completely obvious once you understand it.
Let’s start with the basics.There is a thing known as GAAP — Generally Accepted Accounting Principles — that are used for general purpose financial statements. In GAAP, you depreciate fixed assets, usually evenly over periods, over their economic life. If you buy something expensive, with no other use, for a non-recurring project you expect to last four years, you will depreciate that item evenly over 48 months.
If a related company built it for you for $120,000, then sold it to you for $140,000, you will likely need to “eliminate the intercompany profit” of $20,000 and depreciate it at $2500/month.
For Federal income tax, this same asset would probably be booked at $140,000 — and they would tell you what life it was supposed to have (likely 7 years), and what depreciation to take over each year (e.g. .1429 the first year, then .2449, .1749, .1249, .0893, .0892, .0893, .0446). None of this requires great thought and judgment on your part, it’s merely what Congress decided to shove down your throat.
For State income tax, this same asset may be booked at $140,000….and they may insist that you depreciate over seven years at 1/7 x 1/12 x $140,000 per month. It’s their rules, but you have to fill out the form for them and sign that it was done properly.
NYC has their own separate income tax, BTW, and God alone knows what their rules are based on — probably a psychic reading of de Blasio’s corns.
For state property tax, you’d list the same asset at $140,000 — but, in CA, you have to disclose that you got it in whatever year and it is discounted according to opaque rules by state employees, plus you can’t remove it from the list unless you can prove you got rid of it. In addition, you disclose all of your property in the state according to its assessment date. We had a trade show booth that was in CA for the CA assessment date, but was at a trade show in TX during the TX assessment date — so we got to pay property tax on it twice.
Your building has a premium tenant on the first floor, at whose request you got this widget and installed it in his premises (that he leases from you) and he is required to insure it with you as a named beneficiary……it is now illegal for you to include it in the value of your building for insurance purposes, because you’d be “double-dipping” if it got destroyed (you’d get insurance money from your insurer and from the tenant’s insurer).
When you got a bank loan to buy this building, ten years ago, one of the loan covenants was that you had to continue insuring the building for $XXX,XXX,XXX with certain insurance provisions, riders, and coverages. You buy this insurance from insurer A. You got a second loan on the building five years ago when it had increased in value, and did a better job negotiating the loan covenants, so you insure the building for $YYY,YYY,YYY without the expensive provisions, riders, and enforced coverages.
In all of these cases, the Trump organization is providing statements of value, under oath, under rules set by other parties.
Back in the early 80’s, the IBM AT was introduced as a business computer. There were companies that purchased them to just install and run asset management / depreciation software. Not payroll, not payments, not receivables, and not the general ledger — just the assets. They’d typically have the ability to keep track of 20+ values and corresponding depreciation methods for each asset.

Geert Vanden Bossche thinks so (about vaxxies getting better faster), although not only is that misleading from total cost-benefit – I still think it’s debatable, and not clear in the data, and probably less than disease-conferred benefit, if it IS true.
But still, most importantly, that is just the COVID benefit side of the equation, which is small chump change. The non-COVID risks of the vaccine are IMO much bigger than the COVID benefit, and this explains why overall death rates are now unchanged or higher for vaxxies.
And THEN there are long-term risks, including STERILITY, that are unknown.

OPINION::: It is VERY likely that the HIV-like inserts are responsible for HIV-like behavior. It is first-order hypothetical to expect such a change.
OPINION::: “VAIDS” (Vaccine-Acquired Immunodefeciency Syndrome) is a legitimate expected outcome from adding HIV inserts to another disease.

Yes, I’m taking all those plus Quercetin and a couple of others. I’m also investigating a couple of other possibilities. My main ongoing symptom is the “air hunger” shortness of breath. But that’s also a hypothyroid symptom and a B12 deficiency symptom. So I went and got some blood tests last week just to check. My thyroid is right in the range I try to keep it at, so it’s not that. The problem with B12 is that I have pernicious anemia, so I take lots of B12 every day. But in order to test it, you have to be off it for a week. I don’t want to stop taking it and risk all the nasty low B12 symptoms just to test it.
I am just going on my O2 being 92% — 94% for about a year and a half and then getting moxidectrin (Similar to Ivermectin) all over my hands while worming goats. My chronic ‘Asthma’ cleared up and has been gone since spring.

Supposedly sick but didnt want to see many patients this month already bc only seeing them 1x week(wtf really in her 30s), so i have an appt next week but was told its tentative. It appears that, in general, these coronaviruses have an OAS (original antigenic sin) effect on each other. Stated differently, they OR their vaccines all misdirect immunity away from the NEXT virus which has evolved away from the virus of prior infection or vaccination.

You’re right, I don’t trust the CDC, but I do trust my own logic, which I’ll try to explain.
Cases must be positive tests now – PCR or antigen or both. This rate would remain relatively the same (to an order of magnitude) from week to week at this point in the scamdemic. So even if those cases were to some extent caused by the vaccine, the huge flip from Delta to Omicron cannot be explained by vaccine mRNA which is all Wuhan anyway.
The jab itself can trigger PCR tests, but it can only trigger spike-based Wuhan identification – it can’t trigger Delta or Omicron identifiers.
I am thinking that CDC is either lying about numbers of the omicron increase itself, or they are chickening out on that one and it’s the truth.

This is where I disagree with both the Faucists who lie about and deny the superiority of natural immunity, and Dr. McCullough, who IMO overvalued the genetic distance between SARS1 and Wuhan SARS2, and thereby overestimated the immunological protection of SARS2-VAR0 immunity against genetic drift.
IMO it’s now extremely unlikely that disease-conferred SARS2 immunity from any variant is either worthless or complete against any other SARS2 variant, but very likely to range in a satisfying algebraic way. Omicron is very likely multi-year protective against Gamma, its closest relative, and somewhat less so against Delta. But the omicron-delta “delta” is THE question, because if Omicron is wiping out Delta, which is entirely possible based on the numbers in general – not just CDC’s – then that epidemiological superiority may be indicative of herd immunological protection – i.e., cowpox scenario – and suppression of Delta in general.
Bottom line – continued Wuhan vaccination is an error, IMO. Why? If those “toxic batches” were actually secret trials of variant vaccines, which would be a reasonable and “noble” lie, designed to help people, but sadly failing, then we need honesty here, because that has huge implications, albeit against vaccination, even continued boosting with Wuhan vaccine, which then becomes the “conservative” vaccination option, and is why Fauci and Walensky are clinging to it. It’s just one more “distance” – one more compromise – one more failure – of the vaccination approach. Frankly, we know more about making these diseases than we know about the vaccines. BTFO is the smart thing, and allow both vaxxies and non-vaxxies to pick their poison and live with it unmolested.

The defense’s argument seems like a straw man. She is not being charged with “being Epstein.” She is charged with her own crimes against young girls.

IMO, at some point we have to accept he’s wrong about things and the people he surrounds himself with at times. Doesn’t take away from his many great accomplishments as POTUS. But his stance on this one sucks. When I see friends and family with immunity systems screwed up and in pain from jab effects with their DNA forever changed and learn the real science about them here and other places – hard pass big fella. When I hear Drs. Malone and McCullough among others – docs with knowledge and dogs in that hunt – say do not take them and here is why – I know he is wrong. His one redeeming thing is that he stresses voluntary, not mandatory.
