Ah that is something. Hes beginning to grow again. I can see it.
I remember how funny it was when there was this big announcement where kids got cranky for 3-4 days, went to sleep one night, and woke up 1/8″ to 1/4″ taller. It had been denied for decades as “old wives’ tales”, but someone finally got around to actually doing measurements. It may have been the 90’s. It really made you wonder what sort of claptrap was taught in med schools.
An even more recent example was when it was “discovered” that blood could pass through bone, and surgeons said, “that’s how we’ve been looking at amputations for a hundred years or more — bone that doesn’t sweat blood is dead bone.” That came out within the last decade.
Did the post-surgical thing across your belly completely heal up? I don’t see how you can avoid that sort of thing except for blind luck — it’s a basic movement that you might well do in your sleep. I’ve got a herniated umbilicus that will need fixing one of these days, and I could well see a similar problem for myself when the time comes.
The abdomen did. I have deep healing with some out of the blue painful spasms that are likely to take 6 months to heal. All these things that happen with sudden changes. I have to constantly monitor for normal, abnormal, and call the dr now changes. Ive got a few concerns, like my hair keeps falling out, but may be transitory and ive got to wait it out. Still very tired.
Blood loss depletes iron and ferritin, check your levels. Could explain fatigue and hair loss. And I STRONGLY recommend Serrapeptase for endo. Over time, Serra breaks down and dissolves that junk – Miraculous!! 🤸♀️🤸♀️🤸♀️

Traditional Shepherd’s Pie is mutton or lamb….then there’s “Cottage Pie” with beef….and “Soylent Pie” with mystery protein (presumably “long pig” from those who engineered a famine)….
I like it with cheese melted over the top.
The pictured version looks dry and crumbly — I prefer one that has slightly more of a “gravy” inside, to help meld the flavors. To be this crumbly, it needs to be served in individual ramekins instead of a casserole dish.

“Deep immune profiling of COVID-19 patients reveals distinct immunotypes with therapeutic implications”
There’s LOTS of information and graphics in this paper. Discussions on the CYTOKINE STORM that a COVID-19 infection induces. Discussions on evidence of SUPPRESSION of the body’s critical immune system “killer cells”, CD8T and CD4.
Lots to scroll down and read through in the discussions, for example:
“SARS-CoV-2 infection is associated with a CD8T cell activation in a subset of patients”.
It appears that persons who are ALREADY immunocompromised, or otherwise have low levels of natural immune system resources, are at high risk.
It is ** interesting ** that many of the research papers cited at the end of the Science paper are from the WUHAN LAB.

It will be remembered that Dr. Thompson tested the blood of one of his patients who FORMERLY was a Type-II diabetic, but who then beat it to become PERFECTLY HEALTHY, which was proved by blood tests. This person got both shots of the “vaccine” so he could keep his job. Dr. Thompson tested this person’s blood after EACH of the shots. He found that the critical immune system “killer cells”, CD8 and CD4, were at very high levels after the first shot. After the second shot, these levels had COLLAPSED, and the results matched those of a person WITH HIV.
The blood test Dr. Thompson used for both samples is the one used to measure immune system levels in people who have HIV.

Mussorgsky’s “The Great Gate of Kiev” from his symphony, “Pictures At An Exhibition”. Mussorgsky was a Russian composer. A lot of recent pro-Ukraine sentiment in the YouTube comments. Go figure…

It’s a suite of ten piano pieces presented with a recurring theme, and not exactly a symphony…..
It has to do with an artist named Viktor Hartmann, who up and croaked in 1873 at the age of 39. He had been an architect, a designer, and an artist and had all the right friends and was seen in all the right circles. When Hartmann passed, the Saint Petersburg art scene fell into a deep funk.
Some months later, they arranged a memorial exhibition of Hartmann’s works at the Imperial Academy of Arts, which included two pieces from Mussorgsky’s private collection. It is believed that all of Mussorgsky’s cited works have been identified in that exhibition (with a couple of works sometimes debated).
Hartmann had attempted, in his brief life, to emphasize the “Russianism” of his works. They alluded to Russian folk-tales motifs, and tropes. Mussorgsky’s masterpiece is similarly very Russian by intention.
No less a personage than Ravel re-scored the piece for orchestra.
When we went to Saint Petersburg, there was a plaque on the wall for Mussorgsky’s house quite close to our hotel.

Have you heard Emerson, Lake & Palmer’s version of “Pictures at an Exhibition”? Quite wild in comparison. Also, lyrics were added to some of Mussorgsky’s compositions.
I consider many parts of the ELP version to be calmer than previous versions…..with the caveat that an orchestral treatment of a piano piece is almost guaranteed to be more wild. Toning that version to something guitar-based may seem even more calm.
Then, again, when ELP kicks-in synth and drums, that leaves pianos and Ravel behind.
I’ll never forget my freshman year at music conservatory, when I, and the other students of my piano professor, went to the Senior Piano Recital of one of the professor’s students.
The second half of the recital was the piano solo version of “Pictures at an Exhibition.” I can still see and hear this performance in my mind. The entire recital was flawless.

Has a guess about why Petro Poroshenko came back into the country just as the war started. Remember he’s the one that Zelensky beat in the presidential election because his country was so corrupt. My experience, in hard times people barter for food and it brings people closer together your neighbor becomes your family. People will be kinder share what they can and maybe a simpler more fulfilling life. I know what it looks like our parents did our grandparents did. We lost so much in our affluent life style and everyone went for themselves because we did not need the other.

This is the story of my very best pie-making tip.
When I bought my house years ago, it came with a very old rhubarb plant. When I say old, I suspect it may have been planted around the time of the First World War. One time a friend needed a rhubarb start for her new garden, and when I dug down to get her a piece of my plant, the side-root I got for her was the size of my upper thigh! This plant is OLD.
Growing up, I never had rhubarb. It just wasn’t a thing where I lived. But then I moved to Montana, and everywhere I had dinner at someone’s house, they had a rhubarb dessert. And I HATED IT. There was just something about the taste of rhubarb, the weird tang of bitter “green” that sugar did not hide at all. Yuck for me.
And then I moved in with a huge HISTORICAL rhubarb plant. FREE FOOD.
My Dad’s mother, my Nannie, would have been very disappointed in me if I didn’t use FREE food. She was the woman who, when my Mom was pregnant with me and craving out-of-season turnip greens, figured out how to cook beet-greens so my mother couldn’t tell the difference. I swear she could go into what seemed like an empty kitchen and come out with a four-course meal with a fantastic dessert. This is my role model for cooking. She used EVERYTHING.
So I had to figure out a way to like rhubarb. Because I had to use it.
I went back to all my old cookbooks to see if I could find some kind of rhubarb recipe I could like. And way back in one of them I ran across a weird tip.
Vinegar.
I thought it was kind of strange and I only had balsamic, but I made a strawberry-rhubarb pie, and I added a tablespoon of the balsamic vinegar to the filling. And oh, man, what a revelation!
That was one of the best pies I ever made. Tasted like rhubarb, but no bitter “green” tang.
A few years later, my grandson wanted to make a pie to compete at the County Fair, and he specifically wanted to make strawberry rhubarb. I taught him the recipe, and the judge wrote on his blue ribbon award that the filling was “a slice of heaven.”
So, in any pie, crisp, or dessert made with rhubarb, I add balsamic vinegar. I even freeze sugared rhubarb for pie in winter. My Nannie would be so proud of me.
One of the substances that make rhubarb leaves toxic is oxalic acid, which is also the primary ingredient to Bar Keepers Friend. Some is also found in the stems, but much, much less.
Yeah, this is a very interesting mystery. Why would adding acetic acid to oxalic improve the taste? Is it some kind of competition for “sour” receptors, or perhaps for other “off-taste”/”off-smell” receptors? It’s a weird and contradictory tactic.
I don’t know, but it is fascinating. And really does taste amazing.
Yes, never eat the leaves! I use them as weed control around plants.
Most of the dark leafy greens contain some oxalic acid. Spinach, chard, turnip greens, etc.
VERY interesting that adding ACETIC ACID to something with OXALIC ACID makes it taste better.

I had a question about kosher/halal processing at the end of your Global Food Attack thread.
I really do not know.
I do know that the two slaughter houses I used, one is Muslim and does Halal. The other does both Halal and kosher upon request.
These are both slaughter houses for the use of private individuals although the Muslim one also sells cuts of meat. (You always get less meat than expected which is why I switched.) There is a third big slaughter house but they are booked about 6 months in advance and mostly do cattle.

The specific question in my mind was that the USDA is slacking off on the actual inspection of meat in favor of the inspection of paperwork, but the Kosher and Halal requirements not only insist upon the inspection of the meat, but also that it be killed in certain ways that (in ancient times) best guaranteed against cruelty.
Being that those requirements substantially predate the USDA and FDA, and are Commanded by a higher Authority, I wondered if any mite of sense may have crept into regulations such that Kosher certification could stand in for useless USDA paperwork….
I’m very far from a subject matter expert in any of these subjects, of course…..
I’m also interested to see that Halal slaughter is inspected by the STATE of NC rather than the deranged useless Federales.

The block editor has simple ways to show images and rumble videos. Let me explain those now.
To do images, use the IMAGE BLOCK. You select that by clicking on the plus sign on the right of a paragraph. The image block can then take a URL, or you can upload a photo, or you can select an image from the media already on the site.
YouTube URLs turn into videos nicely in the block editor when you paste them into a fresh paragraph block. However, Rumble videos require a trick.
Other videos may work fine, including vimeo
Bitchute videos have embed code like rumble. Same with Odysee. Both work using the IFRAME code. Other types of code don’t work.
SOME videos have URLs that end in .mp4 – those can be played using the VIDEO block, to which you then give it a URL just like the IMAGE block. Those videos are a bit sketchy – sometimes they play, sometimes they don’t.
You are free to ask me questions any time about how to use the block editor. I’m very good with it.

Yeah, the instructions are sufficiently worthless that I don’t even bother. I learned everything about the block editor interface on my own, thanks to existing GUI debugging skills – which is not exactly something which should be expected from users.
There’s a whole bunch of terminology in that business. IIRC, “clinical dose” is the lowest dose that actually does a minimal bit of what it’s supposed to.
For a large number of years, acetaminophen (my “favorite” drug) had the smallest gap between clinical dose and LD50 of any OTC drug.
In English, this said that Tylenol had the smallest dosage gap between doing something useful and killing you….of anything you can get without a prescription.
I actively get it out of my home, and I would support initiatives to get it completely out of my state and our nation. Depending on the year, it is typically the #1 or #2 cause of acute liver failure in both the US and UK. The stuff is seriously dangerous and is handed-out like it was an after-dinner mint — at the same time that much safer drugs like HCQ and IVM are embargoed.

Quick ground report before I dive into some other stuff.
My sister and I took our younger nephew out to one of the county parks that has a wild bird sanctuary and elk and bison (the herd must be imported) to kill a couple hours. I only saw one family with masks. Everyone else was bare. It was lovely. The place rehabilitates raptors, and they have a “show” of sorts. One of the falcons they brought out actually was found downtown with a wing injury. They have a number of aviaries, and one REALLY big one has three bald eagles. One of them was taking a bath while we were there.
Anyway, we saw a STUNNING snowy owl who is at the place due to vision issues. And what was really gratifying was the number of aviaries, and a deck and a pathway that were all Eagle Scout projects. Really rather interesting.
At market-ticker KD is on his typical sarcastic anti-Trump rant yet again. Using a quote from People I believe (same at yahoo, msm, etc) he’s claiming that Trump is hitting people up, via e-mail, for donations to pay for the 757 maintenance/cosmetic work. From what I have dug up, the plane was at LGA and used for some Trump business flights during his term. Then it went to Stewart/Newburgh while waiting for a new engine. Engine was installed and it then flew to Chennault/Louisiana last November for maintenance and a paint job. Still there. #N757AF.

I get TONS of emails from PDJT and his team asking for support. I imagine they are building a war chest for another presidential run, which is fine by me. I don’t read them all, but I have never seen one asking for donations for his plane.
I just looked and found this one.
