The Fear of the LORD . . .
Proverbs 9:10 says, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” Basically, this verse teaches that the fear of God is foundational to true wisdom; all other types of learning are worthless unless built upon a knowledge of the Lord Himself. Many other passages talk about the fear of the Lord (e.g., Psalm 111:10; Proverbs 1:7; 14:27; 15:33). Before we can understand how the fear of the Lord leads to wisdom, we need to define what the Bible means by “fear” in this context.
In the Bible, the word translated “fear” can mean several things. It can refer to the terror one feels in a frightening situation (Deuteronomy 2:25). It can mean “respect” in the way a servant fears his master and serves him faithfully (Joshua 24:14). Fear can also denote the reverence or awe a person feels in the presence of greatness (Isaiah 6:5). The fear of the Lord is a combination of all of these.
Fear of the Lord can be defined as “the continual awareness that our loving heavenly Father is watching and evaluating everything we think, say, and do” (Matthew 12:36; Psalm 139:2; Jeremiah 12:3). As Jesus told each of the seven churches in Revelation 1—2, “I know your works.” Nothing escapes His attention.
In order to develop the fear of the Lord, we must recognize God for who He is. We must glimpse with our spirits the power, might, beauty, and brilliance of the Lord God Almighty (Revelation 11:17; Hosea 12:5; Isaiah 6:1–5). Those who fear the Lord have a continual awareness of Him, a deep reverence for Him, and sincere commitment to obey Him.
Proverbs 1:7 says, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” This verse gives us some added insight with its antithetical parallelism—there is a sharp contrast between the wise life and the foolish life. A wise person fears/reverences/obeys the Lord; a fool despises God’s instruction and cannot be told what to do. The wise person is wise because he has started at the starting place; the fool has no foundation on which to build wisdom.
Romans 1:21–22 speaks of those who “neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools.” This is a description of people who try to obtain wisdom while ignoring God—it cannot be done for the simple reason that God is the source of wisdom.
The link between the fear of God and wisdom means we cannot possess wisdom if we recreate God in our own image. Too many people want to “tame” God into a non-threatening nobody. But, if we redefine the Lord as a god that makes us feel comfortable, a permissive “buddy” who exists simply to bless us and give us what we want, we will not fear Him in the way He deserves to be feared. The Lord God Almighty is far greater than that, and the fear of the Lord begins when we see Him in His majesty and power (Revelation 4:11; Job 42:1–2) The Lord shows Job (and us) a glimpse of His power in Job 38—41 when He describes His absolute sovereignty over everything.
When the reality of God’s true nature has caused us to fall down in worship, we are then in the right position to gain wisdom. Wisdom is merely seeing life from God’s perspective and responding accordingly. Wisdom is a priority, and we are told to seek it above all else (Proverbs 3:13; 16:16). Proverbs is known as the wisdom book, and the entire second chapter gives a detailed explanation of the value of gaining wisdom.
Until our hearts are in a right relationship with God, we’re unable to have the “wisdom that comes from heaven” (James 3:17). Without the fear of the Lord, we may gain knowledge of earthly things and make some practical choices for this life, but we are missing the one ingredient that defines a wise person (Psalm 14:1; Exodus 20:3; 34:14; Jeremiah 25:6; Matthew 22:37). In the parable of the rich farmer, the rich man had a “wise” and practical plan for his profits, but God said to him, “You fool!” because the farmer’s plans were made with no thought of God and eternity (Luke 12:16–21).
Without the fear of the Lord, we make final decisions based on our faulty human understanding (Proverbs 3:5–6). When we incorporate the fear of the Lord into every moment of our lives, we make decisions based upon His approval. We live with the knowledge that the Creator of the universe is intimately involved in our every move. He sees, knows, and evaluates all our choices, and we’ll answer to Him (Psalm 139:1–4).
Our respect for God’s majesty causes us to honor Him (Psalm 29:2). Our gratitude for His mercy causes us to serve Him well (Psalm 2:11; 107:15). And the understanding that our God of love is also a God of wrath inspires enough fear to help us stay away from evil (Romans 1:18; Proverbs 8:13). Sin is foolish; righteousness is wise. When we live righteously, we are on the path to wisdom, and everyone in our lives benefits (Proverbs 13:20; 19:8).

In the beginning, it was all about the story. But money corrupts most things, and Star Wars was no different.
The same thing happened with Tolkein’s LoRs. They SWORE up and down, left and right, they would not bastardize his work, only to turn around and do just that very thing.

I found LOTR to be the least-bastardized of any adaptation I’ve seen.
Starship Troopers, on the other hand, was SO bastardized I consider it a spoof of the original novel.
That was the advantage of having the three movies to present the story. I believe the biggest change was having the Elves show up at Helms Deep which was not in the book. A nice touch which made sense.
A lot of people griped about Bombadil not being there, but from my reading, Tolkein himself could have cut that out of the story and nothing would have suffered. (I’m amazed no editor suggested it to him.)
One thing I was hoping to see (but didn’t expect to, as it’s actually anticlimactic) was them having to run Wormtongue out of the Shire. They actually set it up in the movies (by finding the pipeweed in the flooded storerooms), but didn’t do it.
I also appreciated how the movie skipped back and forth between Frodo’s story and the other thread. Tolkien ran each story straight through in Two Towers, and I was getting frustrated reading the books because the first one he did was NOT Frodo’s story and this seemed like a side-thread. What’s going on with Frodo and Sam? Why are we wasting pages on this?
I really couldn’t see a whole lot that couldn’t be put down to the fact that movies are movies and books are books and what works well in one, sometimes doesn’t work well in the other.

Nice prices, only strange thing is no one walked past them. Even late at night someone should of waked by them, although there are people in the distance now and then. Second strange thing is the store is not being stocked. Although stores do stock during the day, it’s night when the larger stock crews come and they normally arrive well before closing and stage the stock on the main floor. Little strange. I know my HEB near closing would still be packed with shoppers (100 plus easy). Another strange thing is most of the small shops would be closed by this time as they were in the bigger store. Any ways interesting.

The stocking thing isn’t a big deal. Before Covid, we rarely saw the massive daily restocking during the day or evening. It was 99% EARLY morning hours.
Now a days, stocking is while shoppers are shopping. Pallets in the aisles. Dodging stocker’s.
Have been in stores in at least eighteen countries, discount Pakistan, change the language and it would align with most countries I’ve seen.

Just as there are degrees of wisdom, so too are there degrees of fear.
The opposite of wisdom is ignorance. Most fall in between these two. That said…
Those who do not fear the Lord, in any of the many ways which are possible, are truly ignorant. The worst of which are those who deny his existence. Such people are the worst because they lie to themselves and what is written upon their own hearts, which is nothing less than God’s (the artist’s) own signature upon his unique creation (work of art)…each and every person who has ever lived.
Those who truly believe in and love the Almighty today know they have nothing to fear in or from him, thanks to his only son. What is feared, at this level of wisdom, is his slightest reproach. Like a gentle, loving grandparent who says “I am disappointed in you” to the adoring grandchild. The grandchild, in this case, would actually PREFER a spanking to the disappointed verbal reapproach.
THAT is a fear born of love and appreciation, which is the opposite of a fear born of the terror of something like getting beating (ie. a spanking, or some other punishment).
True believers do not fear hellfire…they fear being permanently being cut off from the living light and Word itself, which is true hell. To have cause even the slightest disappointment, that the disappointed (ie. God) might withhold themselves in some way from the one causing the disappointment (me).
This is a radically different fear than the fear of receiving a whipping, for example. True fear, born of wisdom, is being cut off from living hope and promise itself. A whipping, or beating, or any loss short of being permanently cut off from the Almighty, is MUCH preferrable to actually having God’s face turn from the given individual.
Let the reader understand.
Excellent post, FGC. since my spiritual reawakening I have always told others that I rejoice in the receipt of the Lord’s discipline for when I fail. He proves He loves me and wants to see me do better when it happens.

Fear in this case is more fear of offending Him, and putting oneself into a state of sin. God is merciful about it, but it still needs to be avoided.

Now, there are several boxes with various cables sorted into them, audio, video, network, serial, DC, mains, USB, computer-internal, RF… And if anything out of these were to be discarded, there is a fairly certain bet that within three days, there would be a need or a request for borrowing that exact one.

LOL! A few months ago, the power cable to my external computer speakers crapped out for some unknown reason. Spent a half-hour digging through the “huge box of random cables” until I found something compatible. It worked. Have used it ever since. The meme actually came true.
In that vein, I have two small boxes on my workbench of everything from washers to screws to small hacksaw blades to wall anchors to ties to all sorts of this and thats that have accumulated through the years. My SIL laughed at me, until I spotted him in the garage looking through it for something he needed.
It’s just what some of us guys do. I have three organizer trays filled by size/type of screws, nails/tacks, bolts, nuts, wiring, etc. from stuff I scavenged that no longer worked going back 40+ years. Every once in awhile I need something and voila – there it is over 90% of the time.
So, it’s on the Y chromosome?
I shudder to think what my brothers are going to do with my dad’s collection when the time comes.
If they don’t keep much of it, they’ll likely buy it later at a high cost, as it coulda been free. Depending on the item, quality AND durability an issue.
Wish to hell I never got rid of shop stuff I had from my grandpa decades ago. Of course, moving with the military, I had no place to put it. But still wish I had it today.
As my sister put it, that SOB is like Barbie. He’s got everything. Just the screwdriver collection is impressive.

In the final days of living by myself, I ran my apartment on “the screwdriver principle” — wherever I was working on something, I should be able to reach a standard and Phillips screwdriver (not necessarily the right size for what I was doing).
Sadly, the screwdrive handles now with 2**(n-1) bits with them have taken all the fun out of that…
Then again, if the box tips over, or the bit rolls away 🙂

We have friends in France, where the husband is an Artisan Cabinetmaker. We were there one time, and he and his father were working on something, and showed us the generations-old hand tools they had. One of which was a plane that must have been five feet long, sharp as sharp could be, that sent paper- (or thinner than paper-) thin wafts of wood in the air as he smoothed the workpiece with it.
They do everything from felling trees to drying logs, milling them, and on to creating works of art, one example being a desk where the joints between the drawers on the top are invisible – looks like one continuous piece of wood. They do things the old way there, and it lasts…
“Modern” tools don’t have the metal, the edge, nor the workmanship to do that sort of thing anymore, unless they’re eye-wateringly expensive… but good tools, well-kept, sharpened, oiled, and properly stored will last generations…

THAT is what flea markets are for. Hubby buys all US made tools at the flea market all the time.
That’s also because of the nearly lost art of joinery. Wood objects change dimension over time depending on temperature, humidity, and mechanical stress — and they do this differently depending on species, how dry the wood is, whether it goes along the grain or across it, and other factors. Joinery is putting wood together with understanding to make durable joins.
Nope. It’s not the chromosomes. At our house those are my boxes of assorted stuff in the garage. But then I tend more to tinkering and repairing and doing projects than DH. He has boxes of car stuff, though.

Dale Hardware, in Fremont, CA, where I used to while away many a happy hour of hardware browsing, used to sell (probably still does) little bags of “floor sweepings” screws, washers, nuts, etc. for a dollar or two. Each time we’d go back and visit, I’d buy a bag or two as a memento…
Funny as it sounds, and despite having stuff from over here (OK, and a few loose screws, ha), every now and then I’d need something that I just couldn’t find here, not Hornbach, not Bauhaus, not OBI, not Stinnes, not Praktiker, not Toom, und, und, und.
And then, I’d look to my collection of Dale Hardware sweepings. And, Alas, and Eureka, in one (or more) of the bags, there it (they) would be. Never fails…
Gosh, how I miss having a store like that around. They say “ACE is the place with the helpful hardware man” [and Pete’s Hardware in Castro Valley, CA apparently has a “Rent A Husband” service 🙂 ], Dale is a step above that. Have shopped or visited there since the late 1950s… Same with Pete’s… Orchard Supply was similar; big box like Home Depot, on the other hand, can’t even begin to compare…

I was around on my early “shopping tours” shortly after Dale was opened (by B of A in Fremont) and grew up in Castro Valley before that… Spent many a happy afternoon (or even day) at them growing up. Not to mention Wes Sears, Rose, Simon’s, Skaggs, and some other hardware stores out there… most of them gone now 🙁
Sears killed Orchard (and themselves) “thanks” to Fast Eddie Lampert, who never met a crooked real estate deal he didn’t like. Lowe’s just was a tool (as it were) to end them, though they killed Danco in WVa. The old Orchard was almost like a co-op, and was very good to older, more experienced employees, unlike many places that hired young, cheap labor.
Dale is quite similar to Orchard, as is Pete’s. Most of the great, small(er) hardware stores are gone; either gone under, bought out by larger chains, or on the way down the drain. Minton’s was also a great store (lumberyard). They had wood I’d never seen anywhere else… Want a chunk of Lignum Vitae? Here is it (mind the smell). Want Black Walnut plywood? If we don’t have it, we’ll get you some…

As an odd point of interest, there are precisely two types of birds that are never messed-with except by those in the same group. Crows get messed-with, hawks get messed-with…..but nothing messes with woodpeckers except other woodpeckers and nothing messes with hummingbirds except for other hummingbirds.
The reason for the woodpeckers is easy to discern — if they get a shot in, their blow can break a wing or a leg, or even fracture a skull. One shot.
With hummingbirds it’s a bit more subtle. Hummingbirds fly faster than most other birds, and can fly forwards, backwards, straight-up, hover in one place, and fly upside-down. And they can poke other birds with that pointy little beak in the back of the neck while doing so. As a result, NOTHING (besides other hummingbirds) will ever take them on.
Nobody will take on a hummingbird face-to-face, but everybody tries to catch them by surprise. Cats in particular. You can’t beat ’em fair and square, but the list of things that ambush them is a mile long, and even includes praying mantises and dragonflies, for the smaller ones. I’d heard about large spiders, but mantises was a shocker.

When the hummingbird feeders are out in the summer, it’s cheap evening entertainment watching them battle it out.
Have you ever seen one of these weirdos? Hummingbird moths are great pollinators, so I am super-gratified that they visit my garden. The first time I saw one, I freaked out, because I didn’t know what it was. After seeing one in my garden, one of my son’s friends told me it was the coolest thing he’d ever seen in nature.
I saw one in 1955 when I moved to NC. I was 13. I never knew what it was until I was in my 30s. I finally found one in a book. There was no Internet then and I had never known what to call it to look it up at the library.
I stared at it as long as it would let me. I was in 9th grade taking Biology. I knew birds had 2 legs and insects had 6 legs. It was strange to watch something for several minutes that I knew could not exist. I trusted the science back then. Science so called is still about as accurate as it was then.
I have only seen one other Hummingbird moth in my lifetime when I was in my 50s. I consider it an honor and a privilege to have seen 2 of them.
I feel privileged when any interesting creature finds my garden welcoming enough to visit. It’s a very cool feeling. I’m glad you’ve seen them, too.

I have these little guys at my place in Shenandoah county almost halfway up a mountain. First time I’d ever seen them. We get lots of weird bugs, catepillars, and other insects.

I went out in the backyard 2 nights ago and walking back in heard a buzzing sound. Located the origin and it was a male hummingbird on the porch, couldnt fly. I made a little nectar and a soft bed and shelter for him. He seemed ok all night. He was awake and calling in the morning sitting in the grass. Crows came. I had to get kiddo up and i dont know if he flew off or was taken. I really hope he flew off.
Guessing the hummingbird was breakfast for some critter of sorts.

Just about every morning I make some coffee and then look through the previous days post. I can “like” the new comments, and until daylight savings time, my “liking” ability would last until 6am exactly, then stop. Now it lasts until 7am exactly. Strange,

Suggestion. Go to bed earlier.
One of the best decisions I made just over ten years ago. Worked great during final ~five working years, on into retirement.
Bonus, we rarely feel tired during the day or early evening.
Im having a hormonal adjustment which is messing with my sleep. Mr gils work schedule is odd rn too. Your schedule is where i was between covid and my surgery. Im still taking melatonin daily. No iron or b12 deficiency but exhausted. Stress is it certainly. Ive lost half my hair. Found info saying both covid and the surgery will cause it a couple months out, but its a temp medical loss, not alopecia.
Seems you are doing everything right. A matter of time I suppose. AND, you are young! Warm thoughts and best wishes, daily. 🙂

WINTER WHEAT crop – a situation to fuel inflation.
“Wheat is an essential grain harvest in the overall food chain. Winter wheat is planted in October and harvested the following June and July, however, the U.S. crop this year is in a tenuous position because of severe drought in the plains. Kansas represents about a quarter of the U.S. harvest and is currently suffering through an extended dry season.
Last week, “Kansas Governor Laura Kelly declared a drought emergency, warnings and watches for every county in Kansas on Thursday due to dry conditions causing high fire danger.” (link)
We need to keep an eye on this, and it would be wise to make proactive preparations now for the possibility of a severe shortage. This potential is what has driven the price of wheat futures, and when combined with the issues in Europe’s largest wheat producer, Russia, there’s a very real possibility of a global shortage of wheat.

Our division did small business lending nationwide and hundreds of SBA loans among other types all over the country annually. They had a grand total of 3 SBA loans in their entire big bank’s portfolio. So we figured out real quick their credit culture and ours were 180 degrees apart. Add in they were arrogant pricks.
They bought and merged our smaller bank into theirs only so they could expand the branch network into the Truckee and Reno markets. We were useless eaters to them, they would have starved us out. So we eliminated that issue and left them high and dry with all of the crappier employees. Within 3-6 months all of our key people were working for the old Imperial Bank in LA, which was nearly 100% business and corporate finance oriented. Perfect fit. Never missed a beat and had a good run there until it sold out and merged with Comerica. Then many of us were off again to the next hot spot. We all wished Imperial had remained independent because it was one of those great, innovative environments where everything was done win-win.
The banking business sucks now, even in the specialty lines of business like we were. It was fun back in the mid-80’s through much of the 90’s.

Nothing tangible. I take them as messaging. What the messages say, of course, is unclear. To me, it’s encouraging that someone so close to PDJT is communicating something to us, even it it’s just to say “we’re still here and we haven’t forgotten the mission.”
There is no reason for Scavino to post random short videos of various things like lions, eagles, aircraft, etc. I think there is a reason he’s doing it. Whether it’s tied to Q posts, I’m not sure; it’s just a theory.
Not saying this is it, but one thing is that if there is a general belief that plan is in play it would maybe forestall any impatient groups / person from taking violent action to correct the situation.

IMHO this is an absolutely STUNNING and beautiful interpretation of John 1:45-50…
…who Nathanael was and how he became one of the 12.
Dare I say….this is divinely inspired.
The glory and honor this interpretation gives to the Lamb of God is simply exquisite.
BACKGROUND:
In this interpretation, Nathanael…the friend of Philip, of whom very little is known…is a jewish architect who has suddenly and irrevocably lost the career which he has worked for so long and hard for. He is devastated, as all he ever wanted to do was build synagogues and houses of worship for God in order that people might be inspired to love and worship him. Downcast, and alone, he goes out to sit under a fig tree to mourn the loss of all that he had worked so hard.
Later (in a scene largely cut from this sequence) Philip comes to find Nathanael to tell him “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” Skeptical, Nathanael replies, “Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” To which Philip replies
“Come and see.”
”When you were in your lowest moment….and you were alone….I did not turn my face from you. I saw you….under the fig tree.”

Actually, scripture has a lot to say about “lowest moments”.
Beyond that, however, and with respect to John 1:45-50 and Nathanael, that is why I repeatedly used the word “interpretation” in my post above, which you obviously missed.
John did not tell us why Nathanael was under the fig tree, nor why Jesus said he saw him there. That the writers of this series thought to interpret the scripture in the manner they chose…in order to tell the story of Jesus….is sublime and greatly honors God.
And Itswoot’s post below is a wonderful validation of this interpretation.

I didn’t miss the word “interpretation” in your post. We just differ on how that should be done. Obviously, since the words aren’t in the holy text, they are taking liberties with it.
I don’t agree that making up a story about something presented in Scripture is “interpreting” it. It is adding to Scripture. And all the best motives in the world “to tell the story of Jesus” do not make it okay to add to the Scriptures, in my judgment. We could make up stories about every incident presented in the life of Christ, to put our own spin on those events and on His intentions. I don’t agree with doing that.
When we quote people, we use their exact words and quote them directly. We do that for our founding documents and in literature. How much more should we do it for the Son of God?
Today’s post is about fearing Him. I think people today have lost that concept.
Well, I don’t watch the series as I am unsure of the source material, but…as it happens, the Church Fathers and Founders, the ones who knew the ORAL tradition of all of it BEFORE the Canon was closed, DID write down quite a bit more than is in the Gospels which were deemed to be inspired by God. Apparently, there was a lot of shorthand from the Evangelists who had no idea that someday Sacred and oral tradition would be ignored for Sola Scriptura. Somewhere in an account from one of those men, there could well be more to the story.
And, BTW, when Luther decided to take it upon himself to translate Scripture, he added and took away plenty, I understand. I mean he switched out the original Old Testament for the one the Jerusalem Jews fashioned for themselves after Christ walked on Earth. Seven whole books are missing.
The church fathers and the oral tradition are not related to people in the 21st century adding to the words of Scripture, and the very words of Christ Himself, unless people think some filmmakers today are subject to the same divine inspiration as the Scripture and the holy fathers. I do not believe that.
And they not only added to Christ’s own words, but made up a story to explain what was happening. For all we know, Nathanael could have been having a good day and had just sat down to rest.
John 1:
45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

What was presented in that movie is not true.
In verse 50, Christ says: “Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou?”
Clearly, all that was said was that He saw him under the fig tree. Nothing about a low point in life, nothing more to show Christ’s omniscience at that moment. Yet, the story invents a tale about Christ revealing that he knows more about Nathanael’s life at that time. I can’t support that.
If great-great-great uncle Charlie left a diary of his war experiences, and there was a story about someone being rescued, would we take that story and add made-up details because we believe they’re what Charlie might have done or intended, and because we know he was a loving person? No. We have more respect for Uncle Charlie than that, and it wouldn’t be the truth.
I can’t believe what I’m seeing these days.
The Chosen is not a documentary. They say it repeatedly. It’s a TV show that is scripted around scriptural events and people. They state the dialog and scenes in some of it is fictional. They simply ask themselves, theologians and a rabbi before writing and shooting the scenes – is this or that scenario/thought/discussion plausible with the Biblical accounts.
The Bible does not account for every conversation spoken or action taken by Jesus and those involved with Him. Scripture even states nobody could account for all of the things Jesus did in John 21:25. That scripture seems pretty obvious that more happened than what you read there. The Chosen is simply attempting to open our thoughts to explore Him more.
You can accept that or believe it to be something else, something more sinister if you desire.
I have no opinion about the motives of the people who made it, and I don’t think there is something sinister going on. I’m stating my opinion, not coming down on FG&C or anyone else.
Do we believe Christ is alive and a real person? If so, would we do that to a real person whom we know and love? Would we embellish their account of an event because we thought we knew better how to get the message out? Better than they do, and better than God Himself?
Much has been made here about not letting emotions rule. Yet, it appears that the movie producers inserted a highly emotional scene that is not Scriptural in order to move people. IMO, we need to be very careful about that.
Of course there is more that happened than what appears in Scripture. The issue I have is with our deciding what must have been left out and inventing it out of whole cloth, especially in this case, when what was inserted clearly goes against the very words of verse 50. Someone decided that would be a good place to produce a scene that plays on the emotions.

When my best friend was in his mid-teens, and after I had recently moved to a different State, he tried to take his own life. I think it was mainly over a conflict with his controlling parents.
He grabbed his shotgun and walked out to the middle of a large field near his house. There was a small, solitary tree there and he laid down underneath it. He put the shotgun barrel into his mouth and took the safety off. He was about to pull the trigger when a small songbird landed on a branch not far from his head and started to sing up a storm.
He saw it as being a sign from God, and changed his mind.
He went on to live a very fulfilling life — a happy marriage, kids and a career as a professor of biology at Michigan State University.

That’s my buddy Jeff Boerboon flying what he calls his Yak “110”, which is a unique airplane. It’s actually two Yak 55’s joined together (hence “110”) with a J85 turbojet engine mounted under the center span. Total beast of a plane! The power to weight ratio is just stupid. First flew in 2018 after Jeff and co-owner Chad Bartee spent 4 years bringing the concept to life.
The Yak 55 is a Soviet era aerobatics airplane. In the video Jeff is flying a hammerhead stall, but the actual video itself is the apex of the maneuver where the plane is flown to a controlled stall pointing straight up, followed by the “hammerhead” portion of the maneuver where one wing comes down (like a hammer).
Fascinating video. Need to remember to ask Jeff how they filmed this next time I see him. My initial suspicion is he flew it the Yak up to a drone that was hovering at a pre-determined altitude.
Anyway…..Hmmm. Russian airplane. Hammerhead stall.

Seems like the Russians would know, both from satellites and spies in Ukraine, exactly where the chemicals are located.
Assuming the Russians have satellites, and drones for reconnaissance, and knowing where chemicals are located, it seems like it would be difficult for the Ukrainian Nazis to pull off a chemical attack and blame it on the Russians, without the Russians having the entire thing on video, in living hi-rez color.

So, Worldometers dropped 5 million US cases since yesterday’s count closed.Pure F’n Magic with only 76K newly recovered. Based on yesterdays closing active ~23 million with +5,350 newly recovered, active now should be high ~22 million.
Must be one of those data coding issues Walensky yammered about with child deaths yesterday or Friday.
