A Reason For Joy
Today is a special day for joy, thanksgiving and praise to God.
Due to the efforts of the five sane members of the U.S. Supreme Court, millions of babies may be spared from dismemberment on bloody sacrificial altars in baby mills throughout our country, denying the disgusting devil’s servants who run these baby mills both their prey and their profit. The procedures used by the butchers in these baby mills are truly barbaric and sickening in the extreme . . . clearly the devil’s handiwork. Shutting down a large number of them is unquestionably a compelling reason for celebration.
A Song of Praise for the Lord’s Faithfulness to His People
Psalm 100 – A Psalm of Thanksgiving.

Shout joyfully to the LORD (100:1). The term “joyfully” doesn’t appear in the Hebrew. Literally rendered, it’s “Shout to the Lord!” The word “shout” comes from a Hebrew word meaning “to raise a noise, to give a blast (as on a trumpet).” The composer calls for the kind of shouting that erupts from a person so full of joy he can’t contain his emotions, the kind of uninhibited whooping you hear from fans at a football game. He says, in effect, “Shout in joyful approval of God!”
It’s hard to imagine feeling that joyful about the Lord, isn’t it? Let’s face it; when’s the last time you shouted like a sports fan because of something you read in Scripture? When have you ever pumped your fists and shouted after a sermon on God’s attributes? I’m not suggesting we become charismatic; but certainly we should feel some excitement, at least a little joy. Sometimes the Lord does things that defy natural explanation, accomplishing something completely beyond our capabilities. When He comes to our rescue, don’t accept this silently. Shout to Him. Lift up your voice in praise! By doing so, we counteract that grind of ingratitude that so easily can climb aboard.
Serve the LORD with gladness (100:2). A healthy sign of the grateful life is serving. Few decisions are more effective in easing the daily grind of ingratitude than serving others. In doing God’s work, we serve Him, not the local church, not the superintendent of some department, not the pastor or some board. We serve the Lord. It is He we worship and for Him we labor—not people! And please observe that the motivation is neither grudging nor guilt-ridden; we are urged to serve “with gladness.” The Hebrew term for this phrase was used to describe pleasant things that gave happiness.
Now let’s get real for a moment. You don’t always feel like serving. Yet waiting until you feel grateful isn’t a good plan; you’ll never serve! The psalm doesn’t imply we should serve only when our hearts are filled with joy. On the contrary, we are commanded to serve regardless; gladness will soon follow. In fact, when I start feeling sorry for myself or my attitude takes a cynical turn, I know it’s time to serve someone who’s in worse shape. It’s not long before gladness pushes negativity out of my heart.
Come before Him with joyful singing (100:2). Let me simply emphasize the word “joyful.” I get the picture that God prefers to have us be happy people, rejoicing in His presence, for He has mentioned it in each line of this psalm thus far.
Are you joyful? Really now, is your face pleasant—is a smile frequently there? Do your eyes reveal a joyful spirit within? When you sing in church, for example, is it with joy? The next chance you get, glance at the people around you. Are they smiling? Look at the people ahead of you or behind you. Any smiles . . . any joy?
It’s time to lighten up! After all, joy is a choice. Dress up your testimony with a genuine spirit of joy! It does the heart good and it’s truly contagious.

When the interviewer asked about a couple substantive issues (about the larger conspiracy) Phillips deflects and submerges his answer in sonorous words. The interviewer in general keeps the interview on the fluffy level, never demanding specifics.
The AP used the geo-location thing as a straw man, but so ironically does Phillips, as if that is the only possible problem with 2K. Even the most tech challenged know that the geo-location is true and valid. A total straw man, significantly by Phillips.
My own impression, just a guess and speculation, is that Phillips has an ego problem. He craves the attention and the importance.

A: The “tik tok bombshell” schtick is used to gain the attention of patriots in the period preceding launch of a new money-making “project.” RELEASE THE KRAKEN and GIVE ME MONEY TO DO THE DEFENDING. I don’t understand. He and Catherine have talked about how the data proves people inserted multiple ballots into drop boxes, among other things.
It has been fascinating to learn a little about it. It didn’t take long to hear what conservatives have said about geo-tracking, but IMO what the media is doing is a real issue. Propaganda and lies are real things we have to deal with. Educating the public is needful. There are many who are not as tuned in as we are here.

It appears you are not able to see this project for what it is represented to be.
Please explain what Lin Wood is accomplishing. I have defended him here before, but I do not see results. I believe he is a truthful person who means well and is doing what he believes is right. I also now think he is doing harm to the conservative movement with some of the allegations he is making. I think there is truth to some of it, as is often the case, and it is important that we all know the truth. But if you follow it out, Wood and the sites he promotes and follows are suspicious of, criticize, and accuse everyone except Wood and Donald Trump. Wood is also a flat-earther, which IMO calls his judgment on some other things into question.
There’s a great deal I could say and a lot of detail I could provide about my own perusal of those sites, but I refrain in order to not poison the well here with allegations that very well might be untrue. I’ve seen some things that I’ve known to be untrue posted, but never any correction or retraction.
If someone is starting a new project that has some overhead, what would you have them do? Take out a loan and pay for everything himself?
We are not just a specialized audience, we are the only audience that would support this project. Why would he go to anyone else?

I will say this. The science behind 2000 Mules (I haven’t even seen the movie) has convinced me beyond a doubt that the election was stolen. It doesn’t have to accomplish anything else for me. It’s a proof to all who are honest, and who are willing to put in the time to understand it. Even if that is just watching the movie.
The Democrats cannot make this go away.
The sad part? I think Sidney Powell was right, too, but she chose to pursue cheats that she herself could not prove with her own tool-set. Catherine chose to do what was in her wheelhouse, and Phillips did what’s in HIS wheelhouse. The result is a functional proof of the steal.

I am honest, and I have watched the movie and understood it.
It convinced you, and me and everyone on our side beyond a doubt that the election was stolen, in other words all the people who were already convinced the election was stolen.
But when the evidence in the movie is honestly and objectively assessed, without reference to anyone’s subjective beliefs, what the movie actually proved was far narrower. Significant, but far narrower.
I have yet to see anyone, including Phillips and D’Sousa in the movie or otherwise, state exactly what the movie actually proves. And D’Sousa in the movie actually evades that point, and deals with it implicitly in what I consider a less than honest way.
The more important question is not whether the ballots were illegally cast, they were, but whether the illegally cast ballots were fraudulent or fraudulently obtained. And I have not seen yet where a ballot cast illegally is thereby an invalid ballot. Maybe it is, but D’Sousa does not say that in the movie. He (fleetingly) says the opposite, that the ballots were valid.
BTW, other than GOP-Mom, I have never questioned the honesty of any person on this site, and have always given my reasons for what I say about anything. Anyone can reply to those reasons, or not.

And wrt Powell, I identified her shoddy and dishonest legal work at the time, in detail. No one, no one, ever addressed those reasons, substituting instead their sheer admiration for Powell as a response. Powell is lying low right now, as well she should, having accomplished nothing for anyone other than herself.

BTW, we had a similar discussion way back about Lin Wood, and you persuaded me that my pov was mistaken, and it WAS mistaken. So I started making LW a daily read. I like him, and I appreciate a LOT of what he says, but I also agree with your present concerns. I do not understand his perception of David Clements, for instance, and the flat Earth thing is really wrong IMO.

I feel I can be open with you, so I will say this, which is something I do not bring to the site because IMO it will stir up doubt and speculation that distract from the fight we are in. I have to watch this with myself as well. I say it now because we are past this day’s commentary.
As I noted above, I’ve been perusing the sites that LW recommended, which includes exposingflynnnetworks and thebrebroom. Disclaimer: I am not on Telegram and can’t sign in, so I only see what is presented and I don’t see commentary. IOW, I might not be getting the full picture. I see a hodgepodge of things, many without explanation, that supposedly indict people because of something they allegedly said or did. If someone made the “OK” sign in a pic once, look out! And I realize that could indeed mean they are promoting freemasonic ideology or are tied in to the globalist agenda. But we have to “know them by their fruits.”
That said, I do have doubts about Flynn. I 100% believe he was about to run for president and would oppose PDJT being in office again if he could do it and still garner support. I think if people found out what he was really up to, he’d be toast. But — and this is HUGE — I don’t KNOW these things to be true. They are impressions, so I keep watching. But I do know enough factual things about Flynn and the people he associates with to have major red flags.
I don’t know who is behind the “exposing Flynn” site. They seem to be honestly seeking answers, but people bring things there that can cause casual observers to doubt just about everyone. IMO, this is equivalent to the enemy sowing seeds of doubt to bring us down. I don’t know where the balance should be between finding truth and having to sort through all the possibly suspicious things that are really nothing, or that the person might have abandoned long ago. It seems to require a site like “exposing Flynn” to make the FACTS known. So one is required to take the good with the bad, which makes it hard.
It’s as if, when we have a legitimate victory we can celebrate, someone has to come in and say, “Not so fast. Don’t you know that [name any conservative] said or did such-and-such?” Or has a foundation that makes money? Or MIGHT be in it for themselves? (And some are!) Or posed in a pic with a well-known globalist? I believe, especially after what I’ve seen there, it is possible to take something about any person on earth and make it seem suspicious. And that is poison. If they were consistent about their methods, they would have skewered both LW and PDJT, mercilessly — which I don’t want them to do and which would be destructive. My point is just that they are not consistent.
I wish someone would gather the info and put it in one place, with clear explanations, so people could read it and decide for themselves. As it is, “exposing Flynn” does find some nuggets but also causes people to be suspicious and doubtful when it is very likely not warranted. That is “How to Defeat Your Enemy with Propaganda, 101.” I’m a little tired of LW saying, “Do the research. Connect the dots. Draw your own conclusions. I’ve drawn mine.” People probably say that to protect themselves from lawsuits, but I don’t have time to do extensive research, and if I don’t get to see the “dots” they’re referencing and how they connected them, then I can’t tell if I agree with their conclusions.

TT, agree 100% on everything. Just to start with, LW and the “Draw your own conclusions. I have drawn mine” also drives me nuts. What conclusions? I always feel as if I am missing some obvious thing.

I agree with LW on Flynn (and Powell). But my reasons are almost totally different from his reasons, even though, admittedly, I mostly cannot understand all of his reasons.
I love LW’s dedication to President Trump, and to the idea that the 2020 election MUST be addressed. But above those two things, I love the fact that LW constantly reiterates that Jesus is Truth. LW and I are totally in agreement on that. To my mind, and his, this is the most profound understanding a person can have, and once understood everything else falls into place. LW got there based on his Earthly experience, and so did I. This makes me love him despite his quirks.

The doubt about people’s motives is a critical consideration. To even admit that people have those doubts creates doubt. The awareness of doubt is highly suspicious. So everyone has to say or not say things based on how important they think the potential doubt may be.
But beyond doubt is rational discussion, and for that I thank you so much.
I agree with you about everything, including feeling (knowing!) I’m missing something about “draw your own conclusions.” I don’t think that LW’s conclusions are always correct. As he admits, he is not perfect. And I too appreciate and agree about his Christian faith and honest dealings. He is a young Christian, though, and I think he is susceptible to suggestion in matters like interpreting Scripture as supporting a flat earth. I also think he needs to let things go sometimes. For example, constantly saying Tomotley is a prison, based on something Clements said. Those are passive-aggressive swipes that don’t serve any good purpose, IMO.

Once again, concur with your observations of LW, especially the young Christian part. His genuine joy is so wonderful, but the same enthusiasm seems to take him to dubious places (like flat Earth).
One of my very favorite vloggers is Inspiring Philosophy. He is an amazing apologist, “apologist” meant in the good sense of the word. And he addresses MANY issues, big and small, in a meticulous, well informed way.
I used to worry a LOT about such issues. It was like mental whack-a-mole, until I realized I had it upside down. If I believed that Jesus was an actual historical person, that He was sent by God and was in fact Himself divine, that He suffered on the cross for our sins, that He died and arose three days latter – – then logically all the other questions take care of themselves. Based upon those beliefs, all the other questions necessarily answer themselves satisfactorily.
For instance, I do not have to worry about whether Jesus (or Matthew) made a mistake and got the wrong Zachariah when he referred to Zachariah. True, ostensibly He got that wrong, but only ostensibly. I can be satisfied that there is a rational explanation. (And in fact Inspiring Philosophy does give such an explanation).
So stuff like flat earth, supposedly coming to the defense of Christianity, has things upside down, and can be a perilous trip. IOW, no one needs to give up Jesus if it turns out the Earth is not flat.
And in this respect, IMO, this is one of many reasons why Jesus stresses the importance of faith. None of us are omniscient. There is a lot of mystery out there as part of real life, and there are many things which seem to be one thing and are actually another thing. The known knowns, known unknowns, and unknown unknowns – – all are encompassed by belief in Jesus. If he is True, all else is necessarily true.

Here’s another update on things happening with my family.
I was misinformed about my daughter-in-law being discharged from the hospital. She could technically leave but apparently the staff are being kind & allowing Tara & Nathaniel to remain in the family birthing room w/ new baby Lilah. Periodically there are blood draws to test her (bilirubin?) level. It was rising more steeply, then minimally, & it was hoped she would be able to come home late Saturday, but not yet unfortunately.
So far N has come home briefly to shower a couple times & get things for T & L. T’s mom is the only approved visitor so she stays when she can & this allowed N & T to even take a brief walk in the hospital area, possibly the first time T got to leave the room.
The good news here is that the baby has Never been apart from at least one family member except immediately after birth when staff were cleaning & weighing her etc. This makes me hopeful that no “shenanigans” have been done to this precious newborn.
One blessing is that N has been there throughout the process to assist & support T & care for L. L is sleeping a lot & has been given like 20ml of formula after T feeds her. Apparently T’s milk isn’t fully in & lactation consultants aren’t available on the weekends.
When Lilah wasn’t allowed to come home last evening is was pretty hard on T & N asked for prayer for her again as she’s only getting minimal sleep, like maybe 3 hours in a night.
We were blessed to see the baby via a video call that included 5/6 of us Currens (Brandon was out of town this weekend for another friend’s bachelor party, after he hosted his twin Josiah’s bachelor party last weekend at my parents’ cottage). Great grandma & grandpa have yet to interact w/ L & we’re supposed to all gather at the expanding family’s home (assuming they’re not too exhausted to see everyone) soon after they all Finally get home.
Niece Ashley is finding travel to be with baby Easton difficult in her post-op state. According to N Easton has not yet eaten on his own, so I wonder if he’s only being gavage fed (like Josiah was, who developed significant “oral motor defensiveness” & had feeding issues for much of his childhood w/ an extremely hypersensitive gag reflex that I wondered if it was “created” by all the tubes down his throat). They still need prayer.
I have no news about Ashley’s other grandma, Marilyn, who was rushed to the hospital via ambulance while A was in the birthing process. Please continue to lift this extended family to the Lord as He leads.
On a “fun” note, some of the pictures of Lilah show her with a pretty serious scowl, which reminds us all of my hubby when he’s frustrated. Family heritage is a beautiful thing 😉

Giving the kid formula almost guarantees that her milk will never come in. It’s the baby sucking for more that makes the breasts produce more, to meet the need.
Get your nursing info from La Leche League, not from the medical industry.
I did mention the “supply & demand” aspects of breastfeeding to my son & will re-iterate again once they are home. They are a bit overwhelmed right now it seems…
There are also certain things you should or shouldn’t eat/drink depending on whether you want to encourage or discourage milk production. Would be worth looking up. Has been too long for me to remember much and I always had more that any baby could cope with, anyway, so was more on the side of trying to discourage too much more.
The excess can always be donated, especially appropriate now that we’re enduring an artificial shortage of formula.
I had a surrogate as a baby because I would not nurse from my mother. At the time there were women who had babies and were not feeding any longer who would nurse babies for hire.
Maybe we need to go back to having women like that who are willing to nurse babies.
Wet nurses. The plantation owners in the antebellum South all had their children wet nursed so their wives would be available for various social activities, among other things.
Who were those wet nurses? Slaves, of course. It would be interesting to know how many Klansmen of that period were nursed by blacks that they grew up to despise. In any event, lots of white aristocrats were nursed by blacks and that society did not have a problem with mixing the races in that fashion.

There were a lot of ways that the races mixed in the South before the Civil War. Not that chattel slavery was acceptable or that heinous examples of misconduct weren’t rife, but the situation had been largely static for decades and people had found ways of occupying their places within it.

Thanks Grammy. I wasn’t aware of that! My sister-in-law was like you w/ overabundant milk. Me, my body refused to relinquish one fat cell to feed my four babies. When Josiah was at U of M on the congenital heart floor there was literally a Breast Milk Refrigerator in the “family nutrition room” as well as a breast pump room. I got to see dozens of bottles of other people’s breast milk & mine always looked like weak skim milk, thin & bluish white, compared to some people’s that looked more like half thick orange cream. God got us through though!
I only remember that peppermint tea will slow the milk flow and the germans would recommend certain beverages with malted barley to encourage it. Not regular beer, of course, but they have a coffee substitute and a “malt beer” without alcohol that some women would drink for lactation. And, of course, more liquid intake = more milk.
There do seem to be a lot of tips online these days.

Yes… and don’t forget that some foods may not agree with the baby and so the baby could reject the milk. Garlic and strongly flavored foods should be very limited for a while.

Yours Truly remembers that it took a little while for lactation to start after my child was born. The La Leche League “guide” said that putting the baby on the mother’s chest, where it would seek out the nipples, would help get the process going — and for me, it worked.
Yours Truly also remembers that the La Leche League woman told me to avoid alcohol while nursing — otherwise, the baby might not feed properly.
Good that a family member is “on site”, so no “shenanigans” can be done by the hospital staff.

Wow, home births…how special! My aunt has the bed that her dad was born in, she calls it the Michigan bed since she lives in IL. She’s planning to return that bed to my parents’ Northern Michigan cottage sometime soon so that birth story will be in my mind for sure 🙂
We’ve heard that the baby is doing a bit better so now she only needs the light on her back, that can be held in place with a receiving blanket. Before she laid on that light pad & then had some type of light from above & they had her eyes covered. Now the kids get to hold her again…still a bit of a tough slog though. Blessings!

If Yours Truly is hearing what’s being said in this interview correctly, it appears that the AMA is sanctioning that doctors find “work-arounds” when speaking to pregnant women so that the procedure can still be performed for “medical reasons.”

This is a CME course called “Medication for Early Pregnancy Termination.” Since one must be a member of the AMA to access the course, all that’s available is the course description and “objectives” description.
However, from reading these, it appears that the course is about using the “combo-drug regime” of mifepristone plus misoprostal to induce an abortion up to 10 weeks’ gestation. This drug combo is used to induce what the AMA calls “medication abortions.”
IMO, it appears that the AMA is determined to stick to the canard that before a certain amount of weeks of gestation, what the pregnant woman is carrying is basically a clump of cells.

Yep.
Take the chains off, America. Somebody stated repeatedly (the basis for this board’s existence) you have all you need. Believe in yourselves and humanity. You have more than you know. Etc. I’ve been thinking since Roe was overturned that we are in the beginning stages of a gradual nation-wide divorce. And we won’t have a civil war for it to happen. It will happen gradually of its own accord, just like one of those marriages where the people drift apart, and one day realize they don’t have anything in common anymore, so they just split.
States will enact laws that restrict abortion, and in doing so will have to encourage ways to support pregnant women. There will be no choice about that. Churches will rise to the occasion as leaders for this. That means a more religious society in those states.
The pro-aborts, who aren’t just pro-death but anti-religion, generally, will begin to feel less and less comfortable in these states, whether they are seeking abortion for themselves or not. So they will make their plans and move to more hospitable climes, like Pervert-a-fornia and Queer-egon.
Meanwhile, the people with children in the pervert states will migrate to the Conservative ones, to raise their kids in a better world.
Pretty soon, visiting a place like New York will be like traveling to a foreign land for the sane among us. It’ll be like a safari to a hellhole where cannibals might prey on the unsuspecting. Who the hell would want to do that?
In twenty years, there will be two Americas, which is just fine with me. Common defense and interstate commerce will still be a thing, but human contact will be limited to some degree, as we amicably have separated into our separate ways of living.

What if we can, to some extent, devolve some military power back to the states? In other words, if individual states had veto power on the participation of THEIR components of the National Guard, or their State Guards (see Florida), then the country is far less likely to become involved in unpopular adventurism, or wars without both benefit to and moral support by the People. The CABAL cannot force us into self-destructive behaviors as readily, if we force them to influence 50 capitals, rather than just one big one.
Well, I think states do have influence over where their guard is assigned. Didn’t several states recall their National Guard troops from D.C. in the wake of Jan 6? I think they did. They just have to utilize the power. And that’s where WE come in. We have to elect DeSantises, not Abbotts.

The localities liberated from the Kiev regime are inhabited by about 108,000 people. Total area of the liberated territory is about 145 square kilometres.
Success of the Russian army and the units of people militia of the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics considerably diminish moral and psychological condition of the Ukrainian army personnel.
In 30th Mechanised Brigade deployed near Artyomovsk, there are mass cases of alcohol abuse, drug use and unauthorised abandonment of combat positions.
Russian Federation Armed Forces continue launching attacks at military facilities located in Ukraine.
High-precision attacks of Russian Aerospace Forces and Kalibr missiles were launched at 169th Army Training Centre near Desna (Chernigov region), 199th Air Assault Troops Training Centre near Teterevka (Zhitomir region), as well as at 184th Training Centre of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) near Starichi (Lvov region).

Attacks launched by aviation, missile troops and artillery have resulted in the elimination of over 720 nationalists, 12 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, as well as 16 special vehicles.
The enemy unsuccessfully attempted to launch attacks by aviation and MRLS at Snake Island. The attack was repelled by Pantsir-S air defence missile and gun system and has resulted in the destruction of 1 Su-25 airplane of Ukrainian Air Force and 12 rockets.

In total, 215 airplanes and 132 helicopters, 1,363 unmanned aerial vehicles, 350 anti-aircraft missile systems, 3,809 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 682 combat vehicles equipped with MRLS, 3,012 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 3,864 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.

Today a demosntration agsint NATO took place in Spain´s capital, Madrid.
Dozens of buses coming from every corner of the country were organized to join the march, so that to make the popular anti-war clamor be heard.
In certain locations, like Zaragoza, occupants of the buses were asked their ID cards, their mobile phones inspected. Also lists of travelers were requested to the buses companies, for what it seems.

Can you get a one-room portable unit? They work like crazy, and they’re about the cost of a dehumidifier – cheaper than most window units. Lowes and the like carry them. Before we got a new furnace with better, low-flow central fan operation, we kept one room cool with a portable unit, venting out a window (you still have to vent the heat out).
I just went down to WalMart awhile ago and bought a pedestal fan. I got it home, took it out of the box, and found it had a jillion tiny, fussy parts and the worst instruction manual I’ve ever seen in my life. After a miserable hour with it in the garage, I managed to trip and slam my knee hard on the cement floor. So now it’s together and running, but my knee is about twice it’s normal size. What a day!

Off-topic, but may be of interest to readers here. There’s a fan edit of the original Star Wars trilogy called the Despecialized Edition. The Despecialized Edition is a painstaking fan effort to restore and remaster the original theatrical release without George Lucas’ added garbage from later years. I watched the Despecialized Star Wars: A New Hope last night, and it was incredible. The video quality looked better than the last time I saw it in a movie theater—it’s that good. More to the point, it’s amazing how well that movie has aged. I already knew the story, seen it many times, but it was still so much fun watching it again. Best Stars Wars experience I’ve had in literal decades.
Anyways, if you enjoyed the original films or just want something good to watch, I highly recommend it. Unfortunately, it’s not easy to obtain. There are download instructions on the official Despecialized Edition website. Myself, I skipped that and grabbed the movie off of a Pirate Bay torrent.

How much did Lucas change them? I find it a bit horrifying that he changed these films at all.
Back in the ’90s during the run up to the The Phantom Menace/prequel trilogy, George Lucas himself re-released the original films in the theaters with a bunch of horrible edits and awful 90s-era CGI. One edit Lucas made is so infamous that there’s an entire Wikipedia page devoted to it.
I don’t know if any further alterations were made beyond the horrible ’90s-era changes, and honestly don’t care enough to look. I know fans were super angry in the ’90s and ’00s because Lucas insisted on releasing his garbage edits on DVD and Blu-Ray instead of the original, unedited Star Wars that everyone wanted. AFAIK, the Despecialized Edition is the only means of watching Stars Wars in its original, unedited form outside old VHS tapes and laser disks.

How ’bout — when they went back to look for the original Star Wars, they couldn’t find it….
When a film company releases a movie, they have the original. They make a number of “master copies” from this. Those few “master copies” are then printed to “theater copies” which is what you actually see. [This is quite similar to the way LP records were made.] Each level of printing is degraded compared to the one before. Furthermore, printing FROM a film degrades the original.
When Lucas wanted to go back and re-edit Star Wars, they initially couldn’t find the original or any “master copies” that weren’t completely worn out.
And the original negative of Star Wars in the salt vault in Kansas was in such crumby shape when they got it out, some of the out takes were used when Lucas redid it. It wasn’t cleaned properly before it went into storage.
Added garbage? All the restorations Lucas did fleshed out the story. And the CGI of the Death Star being blown up putting in the ring actually made it more accurate.

One thing I loved about watching the original, unedited Star Wars last night is how well the special effects aged. Practical special effects age so much better than computer CGI that looks dated five or ten years later.

To TheseTruths, I liked your take on the man you were defending, suddenly can’t remember the name, and frankly, I haven’t payed a lot of attention to his work on the election fraud but I love Truethe Vote, which may be the same thing. To D.P., how do we know the supposed death-bed confession from Norma McCorvy is real? I mean, maybe it is, but whom can we trust? She’s not around to deny it. Maybe it’s CIA or some other entity wanting to discourage us from believing a story that helped our side. Or just wanting to turn us cynical? Maybe some are desperate to make us believe none of the people in the baby-murder mills repent, or even if they don’t become Christians, at least turn away from this evil. I just don’t know.
I agree, Zoe. I can’t believe that any Christian group would pay her to pretend to be pro-life. That just doesn’t compute. Now I can easily believe the other side paid her to be the face of pro-choice. This sounds like some nasty projection.
I guess my big concern is the way the people behind this, whether the three-letter agencies, the Rockefeller evil-doers, whoever, are trying to manipulate all of us and have done my whole life and beyond. Also the communists, and they really do wish us ill, and Russia/China/eu Etc. are allies, and they play good cop/bad cop and all kinds of games to throw us off, and I gag every time I hear someone talk about how heroic Russia was in World War II, knowing they were allies of the nazis until Hitler turned on Stalin, but they are all totalitarians wanting to control the world.

I was talking about Gregg Phillips, who is the man who worked with Catherine Englebrecht of True the Vote to gather the data that was shown in the movie 2000 Mules to prove election fraud. (In case you don’t know, the movie shows people on video dropping multiple ballots into drop boxes, which is illegal. Also, through cell phone tracking, they found out a lot of data about those people like where else they had been, where they got the ballots, etc.) Gregg and Catherine are getting sheriffs on board to help monitor elections and fight the fraud, and also to help with other issues. Evangelicals need to seriously reevaluate how they talk about and treat Catholics. Look at the Supreme Court—it was courageous, faithful Catholics that delivered the end of Roe. Spirit-filled Christians should be thankful for such clear moral teaching and bold action.
I chalk it up more indirectly. Real Catholics believe in truth and honesty, and will admit that Roe v. Wade was shoddy law. They didn’t ban abortion. They removed fake law generating a fake right to an abortion out of thin air.

Well, it’s Sunday night. Were there any riots this weekend at all? Any church vandalism? Did the “Night of Rage” ever pan out? I’m not seeing anything, but I also didn’t look very hard.
