But what ever happened to that earthshaking revelation about covert operations by “the entire U.S. intelligence community”? In the nearly half-century since Watergate, we’ve never heard another word about it. Not from the Post, anyway.
There was always another big question about Watergate: why would the Nixon White House have wanted to burglarize Democratic headquarters in the first place? It was already obvious that Nixon was heading for a landslide victory. He didn’t need any DNC dirt. Even in the movie, an unnamed editor at the Post, played by John McMartin, tells Bradlee: “I don’t believe the story. It doesn’t make sense.” The motive for the burglary remained murky for decades.
While this particular piece itself is all about explaining that “All the President’s Men” didn’t tell the entire story – which it didn’t – the reality is, this is one in a series of pieces, interviews, books, and more that are steady coming together to rehabilitate President Richard Nixon’s reputation. The truth of the matter seems to be that Nixon was really NOT a Washington insider, and the swamp ran him out of town on a rail.
A lawyer from Nixon’s administration, Geoff Shepherd, wrote two books on the matter. From him we learn that “Tricky Dick” was a nickname given to Nixon by a liberal Democrat celebrity he ran against for Congress in 1950. It had nothing to do with his presidential races in the beginning. Nixon was the person in Congress to out Alger Hiss. For this, among the Intelligence Community, he was a marked man. He was not an insider, and neither were the three men known as “the Berlin Wall,” Bob Haldeman, John Mitchell, and John Ehrlichman. They were loyal Nixon people.
All of them had to go, whether the charges were true or not. (They weren’t.)
And now we are seeing Nixon’s legacy reformed. Why? Well, if Juan O. Savin is correct – and word is that he got mouthy about something and was subsequently cut off from juicy information right after he made this claim – Nixon was the one to teach/prime President Trump on how the establishment in the swamp would work to take him down. Richard Nixon died in 1994. If it is true that Nixon did this, President Donald Trump has been in the white hat loop for decades…and Richard Nixon did play a part in THE PLAN.

Yup. I’m pretty sure Barr was tasked with going in, gaining credibility by “helping” Trump get out of Russiagate, but then playing Sgt. Schultz when the election was stolen.
I also believe that the stolen election was a “legitimized”, legalized, operation of some kind. That would be why state officials always get cold feet when they have the goods on election fraud. The fraud was SANCTIONED at the federal level, and state officials get TOLD THAT when they get close to creating any kind of play for fixing 2020.
I think Georgia and Arizona RINOs were brought into the plot. Lots of others, too. It had the “color of law” – maybe even approved by Barr – but it was illegal and they all know it.
I always wonder who knows what, and how much they know. If state officials were told that election fraud was sanctioned at the federal level, the breadth of such a conspiracy would be YUGE. The implications are tremendous. I don’t know if disenfranchising the American people and taking over an election in order to steal it fits the definition of treason, but at the very least it is sedition, IMO. And to the extent that foreign actors were involved, I consider that treason.

My comment about the Whack-a-Mole box may not have come across as intended. I wasn’t referring to Gail’s point specifically, I meant that every time we turn around, there is a new ‘suspect’ in the “whodunnit’ sweepstakes.
And at some point, it doesn’t really matter who did what to whom. If you’re in the boiler room of the Titanic, it doesn’t matter who gave the order to seal the doors. You’ve got to move, you need to get through that doorway before it seals shut, or you’re dead.

It is the logical equivalent of a servant of God in the Old Testament using his own authority to countermand God’s Word.
We the People are the highest Authority in our Republic.
We the People came before the Declaration of Independence, and We the People came before the Articles of Confederation, and We the People came before the Constitution.
We the People created these documents, including the last one, the Constitution. Therefore, We the People are ABOVE the Constitution in Authority, by definition. The Constitution didn’t create itself, and the Constitution didn’t create US — we created the Constitution.
The Constitution, in turn, created the government.
Ergo, the government is at least two levels below the authority of We the People.
The created (government) is not greater than the Creator (We the People).
It is therefore not rationally, logically or lawfully possible for the government to ‘suspend’ the Constitution. The government doesn’t have the requisite authority. It’s like the checkout girl suspending the store owner. It can’t happen, not lawfully, by definition.
Not when Lincoln did it, and not when anybody after him did it.
But We the People allowed it, We the People never held anyone accountable, and so here we are.

I had a doctor visit today. As usual, I got automated reminder voicemails in the days before my visit. Since this is a major percentage of voicemails at Casa de Cthulhu, I was intrigued to note that the voice on this reminder was somewhat more sultry than usual.

Several very interesting bits of information from my visit. Among other things, my CPAP needs to be functioning at 100% as the anesthetic purges from my body, lest I stop breathing and croak. I’m currently limping along on my “spare” CPAP that was superseded by the breathing machine that was recalled.
The surgeon was somewhat annoyed that his parent’s CPAP was also recalled and was “getting by”.
The more I hear about those machines, the more they sound like a curse!
I was diagnosed with OSA and got a breathing machine when I turned 40 in 2002. 2005 is a 2006.
Another bit of fun is that my “Primary Care Physician” has sabotaged necessary surgery by cutting-off hypertension medication. I need to be able to demonstrate stable BP before they’ll operate outside of emergency conditions.

They put up solar panels in southern Arizona, NM, TX, LA, MS, AL, GA, FL.
Solar panels litter much of NV desert and CA Mojave desert.
Solar panels are less efficient at higher temperatures. Now since these are silicon, and essentially large diodes, then they should be able to withstand the same reasonably high temperatures as other large transistors and rectifier diodes, before there is a risk of permanent damage. This is somewhere above 120 °C or 250 °F.
Similarly the panels are more efficient at low ambient temperature, but there is less energy to be had from the winter sun.
And the things are useless at night.

Please note that FIB / “whoever” has used these “quietly and subtly labeled no-carry malls” for entrapment operations against patriot CCs. I’ve actually run into this TWICE. Third time was a strip mall – not sure if that counts. Won’t go into how I busted them, but they’re tricky as hell. In one case they slapped on a no-weapons door label after I entered. I took a year of undergrad psychology and social work to possibly become an art therapist. They didn’t want conservative Christians in the program. This university’s department heads were so left-biased that a nearby university had to start a more sane no agenda department.
PS – Cognitive Therapy is only as good as the practitioner and may be detrimental or even dangerous if the practioner has a political agenda or mental disorders themselves.

It seems like no one can just have ONE mental illness. Someone will suffer from (say) depression and anxiety and panic attacks.
That indicates to me that mental health science is still dealing with a list of symptoms. There’s likely some underlying cause that would be (following my made-up example) causing all three symptoms.
Unfortunately they seem to treat the symptoms, and the treatment almost always has a side effect that must be countered with a second, or third, or fourth med.
I wonder if psychiatry will ever have its “Periodic Table” moment where suddenly the underlying pattern becomes clear.

Nixon was sincere and genuine in his policy beliefs. He was a true “liberal,” thinking he was doing the right thing. He was not a marxist. But like other liberals, he lacked integrity of character, and so willingly deceived the so-called “conservatives” for political reasons, plus his dreary liberal disdain for people who thought like Goldwater (i.e. people who had genuine integrity).
Whether he advised Trump about the “elite” (highly implausible) is at any rate irrelevant. Trump saw enough and understood enough without having to rely on a phony and a traitor like Nixon, even if Nixon’s phoniness and treachery were (as is probably true) not marxist in origin, but just the consequence of shallow ambition.

My two Georgia phone calls were PERFECT. In fact, the Washington Post apologized for its incorrect mischaracterization of one of the calls after hearing it on tape. Mike Pence told me, and everybody else, there was nothing he could do about the Electoral Vote Count—it was etched in stone. But if so, how come the Democrats and RINOs are working so hard to make sure there is nothing a VP can do. This was a major event, because everybody ganged up and said that Mike had no choice, he could not send the slates back to the States (which is all I suggested he do) for possible retabulation and correction based on largescale Voter Fraud and Irregularities. This may have proven to be an Election-changing event, so we would have no inflation, inexpensive gasoline, be energy dominant, have no war or largescale death with Russia and Ukraine (this conflict never would have happened), would have left Afghanistan on same timetable, but with dignity and strength, and would have kept Bagram Air Base, not had dead soldiers, taken out all American hostages, and would not have given the Taliban $85 billion worth of first-class military equipment. What a difference it would have made if the State Legislatures had another crack at looking at all of the Fraud, Abuse, and Irregularities that have been found. Our Country would have been a different place!

Amid speculation about Hillary running again, I don’t understand the condition of her health. Something was definitely going on during the 2016 campaign. She had pneumonia, but she also had symptoms of something resembling Parkinson’s as chronicled by Dr. Ted Noel. She had that weird head-shaking incident, and the one where her brain appeared to freeze when she was speaking in front of a crowd. Conditions like that don’t improve, and it is now six years later. She has said she won’t run again, and that might be true, but I still don’t understand why we aren’t seeing serious symptoms or why there aren’t rumors or something.
