The rural areas of America, out here in the hinterlands where I am, are “country boy can survive” land. And yes, I know about the Holodomor. But this isn’t the Soviet Union (yet). And they are a LONG way from that being the case. There is a 1000 years of peasant-oppression history over there that doesn’t exist here. We are not Ukrainian peasants. We still have our guns, and our spirit.
And look what happened during the Great Depression. I found an estimate that 7 million people died during the period from 1929 to 1933, from illness, suicide, starvation, etc. In 1930, the population of the U.S. was 123,202,624. If they killed the same percentage of us now, that would be about 18 million people. In an average year, almost 3.4 million people die in America. Times four years, that’s 13.6 million people. So the excess death from a “Great Depression” today would be 4.4 million people.
Now, that’s a lot of people, but it’s not reducing the population by much. There’s 330 million people in America.
Factor in if they try to starve America, they are mostly going to kill their own side, and it starts to look a bit futile for the bad guys, in my opinion. It’ll suck for us, but it wouldn’t be much of a win for them.
They would have to do a GUN GRAB first and BLOCK communication.

We are opening up a call for volunteers for authoring. In particular, I’m looking for somebody who would be willing to serve as the TUESDAY Open Thread author, starting A WEEK FROM TOMORROW.
This is not any kind of emergency. Deplorable Patriot is happy to continue doing FOUR days a week (TWThF), but in my opinion, it is important to keep things fresh, and make sure we have plenty of authors in case of uncertain times, so I’m letting people know that we are willing to train a new author for TUESDAYS.
We are always, of course, ready to have authors doing REGULAR POSTS, like TradeBait is now doing. Volunteers are welcome there, too. But most important is somebody to help with the daily threads.
Likewise, if somebody wants to take over WHEATIE MONDAY from me, in 2023, I will consider that, too, but I would insist on them keeping many of the “tribute” aspects (like the polar bear and the wheatie warrior) intact.

I have so much admiration for The Persistence — not for the photo ops or even the voter registration at gas stations, but when he rolls into a blown-out shithole neighborhood and says, “we’re cleaning it up — wanna help?” to the locals. That takes a certain kind of courage; that takes a certain kind of faith — and it LEADS.
I’m somewhat surprised that he hasn’t got his fool ass killed. That he hasn’t is one sign that the Lord supports his efforts — and who wants to be on the other side of that equation?

While we all appreciate Scott’s activities, Scripture says that ‘his kind’ will not inherit the Kingdom and are abhorrent to God Himself. So it seems to me that we should be cautious about linking him to God, no matter how noble his deeds.

I hope people use every means to get the word out. I had never seen Just Human before so I don’t know what he’s usually like, but he was very sober. I’m getting the same impression from the snippets put out by Jordan Sather and Patel Patriot. It’s an extremely serious situation.

The only reason I’m so apparently blase about it, is that I lived and worked for years in close proximity to dozens of CCP spies and operatives, so there was a certain amount of normalizing the situational awareness. No matter how smart, why did Catherine further encourage the bombshell narrative just before the news that there would be no bombshell? Instead, It would all be secret and eventually dispersed through third parties?
Maybe I am the only one, but to me this is emotional manipulation, and I do not trust emotional manipulation.
Phillips and Catherine are intelligent, so why do this stupid thing? A stupid thing which happens to our side repeatedly?
It is almost as if they were intending to have a deflationary effect, and to increase distrust of their very project.
We have endured a LOT of emotional manipulation from all sides over the last few years, if not decades.
That’s what gaslighting, mass formation psychosis, etc.
They are using empirically proved psychological techniques on us at many levels every day – from Madison Avenue to See-Eye-Aye….and from secret groups we never heard of.
Even the good guys are, too. THAT is a hard lesson.

I have a completely different perspective, which I say with respect.
I don’t see this as a tick-tock.
I don’t see it as a big buildup and then let-down. What has been revealed about the NY election system and the foreign interference in our elections IS a bombshell worthy of what has been said so far — and we don’t have all the info yet.
I see this as their doing what they felt they had to do to get this information out since they had already gone through the channels they felt appropriate, and those failed them.
Their lives are in danger. They have been harrassed and sued. For them to do this took a lot of courage, and they are doing it to save the country.
I don’t ascribe ulterior motives to either of them.
It’s easy to sit behind our computers and take potshots. There was no way for them to do this without being criticized, and I believe they have done the best they could.
Before the event, I predicted some people would not be satisfied because that is always the case.
It’s not about them or their presentation. Our country’s elections have been overtaken by China; people within our country cooperated and are covering it up; the FIB, instead of doing their job, turned the tables on G&C; and there is no one to turn to to fix this, so they are getting info to us and trying to get sheriffs to do the job of law enforcement.

I became a “Gregg Phillips convert” just listening to him describe their results to the Arizona hearings. Assuming he wasn’t out and out lying, it was all I needed.
Should he have worked through the numbers right there?
No. Getting into the weeds is not only a distraction – it works for the other side. They know the numbers are real. They know that Gregg and Catherine have the numbers.
This is a huge war where small “omicrons” only need a START to WIN.
My perspective is motivated exactly by the dominate enemy media and other domination by the other side. Our side cannot and will not replicate that domination. It is impossible.
The bombshell and over-selling approach is exactly what the other side does. It is dreary and bogus when they do it, why would we do it?

The haul is longer and more treacherous for that approach to work for us exactly because we do not have the means, nor are the means natural to us as they are for the other side.

I believe we are at a point where thinking seriously about the approach our side takes needs to be re-evaluated. There is an answer. But it is not trying to create a bogus “breakthrough.”
I spent many, many years evaluating evidence. By no means whatsoever does that qualify me to evaluate evidence over my head, and I do not do that.
But it does qualify me to evaluate the presentation of evidence, generally, and especially to detect the bogus, ineffective presentation of evidence. In that regard, our side is often misdirected, and because of our desire to believe, often intentionally misdirected.

I am not going to go back to re-watch, but how much of the movie was filler: categorically pointless discussion with Salem employees, DD wandering around looking serious, vignettes intended to showcase his wife for no constructive reason, interviews with “insiders” with no evidentiary value whatsoever, overlong blathering by Phillips and Catherine, etc.
Who on God’s green Earth cares about Dennis Prager’s boring opinion, or Elder’s, etc etc?
The evidence, which WAS significant and irrefutable (unless concocted, doubtful) occupied a small part of the “movie.” But the evidence was buried under piles of sodden newspaper. Half the “movie” was over before valid substance showed up.
And it was the filler, and complete lack of legal analysis (beyond the casting of votes by someone other than the voter) which reflected the basic dishonesty. This was no movie except in the bogus sense that DD extended the running time to an hour and a half, and made a boatload of money from MAGA folks who expected an intelligent analysis. This “movie” was exactly what people mean when they say “if you saw the trailer you saw the movie.”
And 2K has done virtually nothing except make money.
2K should have been a ten minute video, freely released, and not a money maker. “Here is irrefutable though incomplete evidence of election fraud, and here are the questions which the evidence demands to be answered,” NOT “Here is a ‘movie’ which proves the election was stolen.”
2K was another bombshell scam, which incidentally contained vital, highly significant evidence.
Why is our side incapable of seeing the distinction? Because our sense of injustice and evil is so deep and abiding, that our intense desire for justice and good is easily manipulated.
We have to start DEMANDING that the public people on our side get serious, and stop treating us like children.

His informant son better have had evidence, like seeing the gun in Dad’s waistband when Dad got out of the car upon his return from the protest, otherwise it seems like hearsay by the son.
And that’s not even very solid, because even if the son claimed he saw it in his Dad’s waistband, if the Dad denied it, that’s still “he said / he said”, it’s one person’s testimony.
Even if it was admitted in some written communication from the father (text, email), he could have claimed he had a firearm, without it being true, for any number of reasons (e.g., trying to impress his son).
If there is no independent evidence, and the father cannot be compelled to testify against himself, then how was the charge of being in possession of a firearm ever established to a sufficient degree that it could be used in sentencing?

Is it being at least somewhat politically aware that is the major difference?
It’s not the same thing as being a ‘news junkie’ though, I know lots of people who would fit that category and who get most of their ‘news’ from MSM and social media like FB and Twit, and most of them bought the gov’t / MSM narrative completely.
Does it have to do with a degree of ‘awareness’ — self or otherwise?
Is it possible to be politically aware without being at least somewhat of a ‘conspiracy theorist’, since one can’t help but see many of the connections and coincidences, if you just take enough time to actually look?
And yet lots of people who might be described as ‘news junkies’ don’t seem to recognize the patterns or question what they see and hear.
Certainly the people (probably psychologists and sociologists mostly) who come up with the psy-ops have investigated to determine what is most effective on the greatest number of people, and they realize that not everyone is going to buy what they’re selling, which should have led to asking why their schemes work less well on some people than others.
And since they had the funding and the time to find out, I’m confident they have figured out the the answer(s) to questions like that.
I just wonder whether it’s something we are actively doing that makes us less susceptible, or whether it is more of a passive thing, beyond our control, having to do with personality, nature vs. nurture, all that stuff.
Why are they different from us?
Why do we see the pod-people, when so many others don’t?
Is it a difference in curiosity that leads to questions which leads to a level of awareness which leads to skepticism which in a roundabout way influences actions (e.g., taking the shot vs. not taking the shot)?

IMO – we will see, hear, assess, believe, analyze, take action, and so on according to the answer to that question.
If you are your own authority – you have decided God does not exist or otherwise control you unto death. You will do it all Ol Blue Eyes way.
If the government or a political party of your country is your authority – you will be sheeple unto death and wonder why it happened at your last breath. A personal family example will be discussed in a coming BIMD.
If a celebrity or sports hero is your authority – you may emulate the things they do unto death. She has no family or friends there anymore. She is misguided, her internal compass is off and will remain that way unless she rediscovers her authority in life. Do not forsake the assembly – Hebrews 10:25. She has forsaken to this point. She has lost the sense of community.
If your work life is your authority – you will serve it faithfully to the point of be undependable to even your own family unto death. Been there and almost did that. I have family who have and are doing that.

Why do people keep declaring that cell phones from airplanes was impossible in 2001? That is completely false. Cell phones were quite ubiquitous in 1990 Phoenix when I lived there. One qualifier – they were too expensive for your average joe so they were for business use. But to say that cell phone use from airplanes was impossible is just silly.
Not false! Flying is much faster than standing or even driving. There were not enough cell towers installed at this point in time to keep the conversation going while flying.

Here are, quickly, my later thoughts.
“News junkie” means that one is accepting the news a priori – they are not necessarily questioning it – not necessarily skeptical.
But “fact checkers” are skeptical. Why are they insufficiently so? Why do they not question their own funders and controllers?
What Georgia says is critical, IMO – trust GOD above all else. Trust God FIRST – even before “America” (which can mean the government, obviously wrong A LOT, or the people, often FOOLED).
America FIRST does not mean “America” is always right. But it’s still, in principle, often the fastest and best to get out of wrongness in geopolitics, from our perspective.
But back to truth and skepticism. What about people like Steve (specific type of atheist) or Gail (agnostic)?
IMO, it’s THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH. A.k.a. the “Holy Spirit” to Christians. It’s a THING with a footprint in the “provably true”, but a large component also in the “unprovably true, but reasonably true”. This idea – that loving truth is more important than mere recognition of truth – depends on my assertion / conjecture that what is “reasonable” includes continuums of both reasonability and limited provability into the region of unprovability.
This is somewhat “meta” on math itself – and underpins the very ideas that conjecture and postulation are fruitful toward proof – basically the same continua seen in a mirror way in the region of provability.
Stated less mathematically and more religiously, the TRUTH is not enough – we must LOVE IT for reasons which are reasonable but not necessarily provable.
Stated differently, if one “does not love the truth”, which likewise can be stated as “blaspheming the Holy Spirit” (hating the spirit of truth), then one cannot be led to further and greater truth, much of it unprovable.
This is related to my contention that machine intelligence “higher” than the logically provable (much of what we call “artificial intelligence”) must be free to “believe in God” – or even just free to conjecture God as a thing and as potentially true in some fashion – for it to be properly oriented toward truth.
God is a very inoculating idea vis-a-vis Truth, in that even those who honestly strive to disprove it are properly led toward Truth.
But that’s just me talkin’! Don’t trust it! 😉 👼

I’m not sure about the Christian angle though, as it relates to anything specific like to take the shot or not to take the shot, that is the question. Whether tis nobler to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous Karens, etc. etc.
And I suspect that out of everybody who has resisted the insanity of the past 2+ years, the percentage of those people who are Christian is maybe a little higher than the general population (for various reasons), but not radically different.
It reminds me of the story of The Emperor Wears No Clothes. The children could see that the emperor was naked, presumably because they had not yet been taught to conform their thoughts (or at least behavior) to whatever was expected of them.
None of us here are children, but we can all see the emperor is streaking, and has been, for a very long time now.
Indeed – being able to discern truth by being unplugged from the Fake News is a huge part of it. But why are we not a cult here? IMO it is because people are free to bring outside thought here – both true and false – and debate it. Like universities used to be.
As for Christians and statistics – we’re not talking radical differences – especially as things become statistically large. But overall, IMO, Western society moves toward truth, and is less misled away from it, by the effect of religion, historically mostly Christianity.
I find it interesting that the media which hates Christianity, has tended to promote knowledge of the least reasonable extremes thereof, and to help them gain perceptive mindshare.

What bothers me about tattoos is that they have become ubiquitous.
When I was little, tattoos were mostly for pirates (of whom I encountered not many) and people in the military. Some of the older truck drivers at a company I worked for as a teenager had a tattoo, usually on the upper arm.

I would think that POTUS and his team have a counter to this all mapped out.
The fact that the IC community and the rest of the Deep State Bureau-Rats DELIBERATELY LIED to POTUS AND DELIBERATELY BLOCKED USE OF HCQ when POTUS recommended it in APRIL 2020. Testing should have been complete by June 2020. I was following it closely and they killed the trial. They then DELIBERATELY used overdoses of HCQ to POISON people so they could say it was dangerous to use.
If the CDC/FDA allowed/recommended the use of HCQ (and Ivermectin) IT would KILL the legal standing of the Emergency Use of the clot shot, and in turn would KILL all the mandatory use of the shot by the government on employees/military and by the WOKE corporations.
I do not think POTUS had any choice but to PUSH THRU that trap as fast as possible. Remember, if he made a move contrary to Fauci or Brix, they would impeach him for real and make it stick. Also the Military was working SEPARATELY on a different Vac from what I understand.
Once out of office, POTUS had to still be careful. The best he could do is say the shot was for the elderly and NOT for the healthy and he would NEVER have made it mandatory.
I agree and have reconciled my dismay over killing innocent people with endorsement of the jabs, etc.
It has become quite clear that we are at war with not only foreign countries and invaders, we are in a civil war as well. There are casualties in war. Innocent lives are lost and destroyed. However, I can reconcile them because it has been that way since the beginning of time starting in the garden that progressed through the events of the Hebrew people.

This charger was pulling more power than the wiring’s capacity, and the wires were over 200 degrees, which is about double what it should be. We are very fortunate a fire didn’t occur. The same was true another owner that had plugged into a garage outlet to charge a car.

In the interview with Patel Patriot, Gregg Phillips emphasizes how he and Catherine were working hand in hand with the FIB for probably a year, through information sharing, etc. Then something changed within the FIB and Gregg was told by one of the agents he had been working with that two female senior leaders at FIB had ordered the two agents who were working with G&C in MI to go to the target (the ones with the Chinese server/apps) and tell them G&C had breached their system and also to tell the Chinese that G&C had breached their system. So the FIB stopped working with G&C and turned the tables on them. That happened in April. There is more to the story, but G&C were left hanging with this stunning information, with nothing being done about it, and with false accusations against Gregg personally (that he stole private servers from China).
Would be great if G&C had video, audio of their working with FIB, then get cast aside by FIB.

We go straight 76. Ceiling fans for the illusion of cooler. ~$200 summer months.

One of those weird bits of trivia (which came up during Saturday’s fish meeting). Liv Tyler, who is Steven Tyler’s biological daughter, grew up with Todd Rundgren as her father. He supported her first steps, helped her out with schoolwork, taught her how to ride a bicycle, and so on…. She only sorted out the family tree much later.

I always thought it was pretty cool how Rundgren transitioned so smoothly from the ephemeral state of “IT ARTIST” to “IT PRODUCER” without even a blink. Nicely done.
He’s an incredibly talented dude.
His band, Utopia, would play sets where they kept switching instruments between songs. The bassist on one song would do lead vocals on the next, with the previous drummer on lead guitar. The only other group I can recall doing this is Gentle Giant.
