Recently, former CIA director Michael Hayden implied on Twitter that former President Donald Trump should be executed for violating the Espionage Act. After MSNBC contributor Michael Beschloss suggested in a tweet that Trump should be executed like the Rosenbergs for giving U.S. nuclear secrets to Moscow in 1953, Hayden retweeted: “Sounds about right.”
It was a year ago almost to the day that Hayden retweeted a meme comparing Trump-supporters to the Taliban in Afghanistan. The retweet occurred at the same time the Taliban were overrunning Kabul in August 2021. This helps to explain a lot in terms of Hayden’s total lack of self-awareness on Twitter, but it fails to help us understand exactly what’s behind the retweet that suggested that Trump should be executed.
Where are the ‘right-wing extremists’?
If you listen to the Left, parents of public school students are right-wing extremists because they don’t want their children to learn perverse sex, drag queenery, masturbation, pedophilia, and an America Sucks ideology. Parents don’t want their children to be taught to hate people with different skin color. Does that make the parents extremists? Apparently so: Parents have been labeled by the National Schools Boards Association as domestic terrorists, although the NSBA later apologized for the terminology.
Merrick Garland seconded the motion about labeling parents as domestic terrorists by threatening to set his DoJ dogs on parents who object to what their kids are being taught in public schools. So I guess that parents who actually get involved in their children’s education by showing up to protest are now threats to our democracy.
Washington versus Republican voters
Unfortunately, many of the very people responsible for losing the Senate last cycle are now trying to stop us from winning the majority this time by trash-talking our Republican candidates. It’s an amazing act of cowardice, and ultimately, it’s treasonous to the conservative cause. Giving anonymous quotes to help the Washington Post or the New York Times write stories trashing Republicans is the same as working with the Democratic National Committee.
If you want to talk about the need to raise more money to promote our candidates versus the Democrats’ terrible candidates, I agree. If you want to trash-talk our candidates to help the Democrats, pipe down. That’s not what leaders do. And Republicans need to be leaders that build up the team and do everything they can to get the entire team over the finish line.
Ultimately, though, when you complain and lament that we have “bad candidates,” what you are really saying is that you have contempt for the voters who chose them. Now we are at the heart of the matter. Much of Washington’s chattering class disrespects and secretly (or not so secretly) loathes Republican voters.

I have no idea if this plays into this at all, but there are two ways to put a loophole in a law.
One is the exception. E.g., you cannot kill anyone except in self defense. You likely won’t even be prosecuted (except by an overzealous DA) if the law has an “exception” written into it.
The other is the “affirmative defense” where you admit to the “crime” but you’re allowed to defend in a particular way. This is much more hazardous, because you’ve admitted to the deed in court, and if they reject your defense…you’re screwed. The system will prosecute you and force you to rely on the affirmative defense.
So if you’re ever looking at, say, a “concealed carry” law (which you shouldn’t ever have to deal with, but…) you want one written as an exception, not an affirmative defense.
So I wonder if NY has an “affirmative defense” style mechanism here.

I want to say: cancelling the elections and imposing a harsh and violent martial law seems to be the only rational explanation for where the other side is at. Good morning kids. I honestly did not think we could get any lower than a Gestapo raid on former president based on a plot to frame him for treason, let alone the theft of a national election that effectively nailed the coffin shut on America as founded.
But still, they persisted. To call last night’s sickening spectacle at, of all places, Independence Hall among the darkest hours in our history is wishful thinking. Because that’s what we called the aforementioned and everything else that has happened since then which led us to last night. If history teaches us anything, it’s going to get a hell of a lot darker before the dawn comes. That is if it comes. My fear is that we’re going to be yearning for the comparative walk in the park that’s been the past 18 months.
On yesterday’s thread, regular commenter Mary Poppins’ Practically Perfect Piercing, aka MP4, took the words of a failed Viennese artist made during an infamous speech made 83 years ago in front of another wildly enthusiastic audience and transposed a few words:
Over the top? Considering that mop-top regime mouthpiece Karine Jean-Pierre all but declared the pro-life movement – a non-violent, broad-based legitimate policy-based movement that has been in the public discourse since forever – “semi-fascist” and “extremist” and that President Brain Damage agrees with that assessment, you tell me. The most chilling thing is not just the demonization and projection. That’s to be expected. Look who was standing directly behind him:

This sick, perverted, criminal low-life just officially on national television, despite all three house organ networks not carrying it, declared his predecessor and everyone in the nation who voted form him, supports his policies and by extension anyone who now opposes what he, the sick, perverted, criminal low-life and his handlers have been doing since January 20, 2021 and have yet to do an official enemy of the people, with all that that implies, there can only be one response.
If, as expected, his party receives a drubbing at the polls, will he and they accept it? Not bloody likely. Furthermore, knowing that they are in for a drubbing, will they even allow the elections to take place if they do not have what it takes to “fortify” them? Ditto. But moving beyond mere elections, the labeling of at least half the country as an existential threat to “our precious democracy” (*vomits*), is to me an arrest warrant if not a death sentence. When you have brainwashed several generations into thinking that Republicans, conservatives and really anyone who believes in the traditional American, Judeo-Christian ideals as an existential threat to the peace of the world and really the world itself, you get James Hodgkinson as well as the 2020 Summer of Love 2 Mostly Peaceful Boogaloo.
The only bright spot, and truly the one thing that reflected the actual mood of the American people, was the heckler in the audience who chanted “FUCK JOE BIDEN!” Amen, preach it brother. The tinfoil hat on my head whispered in my ear that maybe this was an intentional plant in the audience for Biden to have a mic-drop moment. Either way, it was the line of the night. Meh, the line of the decade.
Between the policy disasters as well as all of these mush-mouthed, malodorous blood libels, the common wisdom from the punditry has been that it will all backfire on Biden and the Left. To which I respond, take a look around at almost every level both in and out of government and tell me who is still in the driver’s seat. There are those who say that we can’t vote our way out of this.
After what that bastard said last night, I tend to believe it. God help us. And God help them.

And the thought occurred to me about another way to look at what the other side is thinking.
They have to be thinking about an electoral wipeout in the fall. Certainly, that is what so many on our side is blithely contemplating. The electoral process.
When looked at that way, it is apparent they cannot let that happen. And there are only two ways out.
More successful fraud, massive and widespread, even in the many red states.
Or not letting it happen, period.
And not letting it happen would require drastic actions, none of which is beyond their capability. There will be many things, if they take drastic actions, but one thing would crush a target unprepared to resist.

Before my day gets crazy, short ground report.
Spoke with the assistant principal of my grandsons’ primary school. She is a practical, well educated, intelligent person with good analytical skills that I value in her areas of expertise. We live in a strongly growing area population wise as I have posted previously.
I asked a question about her observations since COVID began of the children’s overall behavior and response to it all. She said those that already had learning disabilities, behavior problems and troubled home environments had worsened greatly. More issues than she can keep up with some days. She viewed them as acting out on the fear that has been created within society and within their homes. In her opinion it has worsened this year even with no mask mandates in place for over a year. She sees it has a reactionary response that reflects the on-going tension within out country overall.
She noted that even many of the well adjusted had an air of anticipation about them. Perhaps a small bit of anxiety.
A 64 year old friend of our extended family who was a physician passed away within the last few days. He was my MIL’s PCP throughout her 10 year battle with dementia. A good family man and active. He struggled with weight issues throughout the years, but was golfing a couple days a week until very recently. I have little doubt it was clot shots related. Waiting on an autopsy and to simply listen to his family members discuss his health at coming funeral and celebration of life memorial services.

I was looking at the now-infamous photo from last night, and I noticed something very odd. Unless I’m crazy, which is possible. Feel free to tell me so.
The Marines behind Bye-Done are standing with their hands in front, at parade rest.
That is never done, as far as I know, unless they are holding a weapon, like this:
Otherwise, parade rest looks like this:
But last night:
I put little circles around their hands, in front, and empty. WHY?
Three possibilities I can think of.
1) They are NOT Marines. They are fakes.
2) Mute protest by actual Marines, to let us know they don’t like this shit. Not sanctioned by anyone. These two guys were probably in the “dress-rehearsals” for this speech, and between themselves decided to protest.
3) It’s a message from the military. They are NOT HOLDING WEAPONS. They are signalling that the military is unwilling to use force against American citizens.
I really, really hope number three is the correct answer.
Maybe someone here is going to tell me this is a common thing I’m just unable to find online, or in my experience as a Marine’s wife all those years ago. But I doubt it. This means something.
For ceremonial duties there are a lot of other procedures and protocols that are used that are unique to that environment.

I know in the Navy a lot of guys that went to the ceremonial assignments went from boot camp and got additional training.
Once we got to the Fleet we forgot how to do all that marching stuff.

The key thing to look at is the trousers, Marines don’t wear white trousers unless its for White House, Embassy or Consulate duties. Also pay notice to the rifle they are wielding, this is for ceremonial purposes, I would wager these Marines are with the silent drill team, if you haven’t seen any of their performances I highly recommend you check it out. Lastly parade rest with a rifle is different than without, while the position they are in isn’t the standard parade rest with a rifle, it may something unique with the drill team since they are the spec ops of drill within the Marines.

IMO, there was ** something ** really strange about the Independence Hall screed last night. “President” Biden appears to be “not-quite-with-it” while “Dr. Jill” walks him to the podium, according to the Reuters video. But, once he launched into the screed, he became animated, almost yelling at times, etc.
They jack him up with a bunch of drugs, and I suspect they even have some kind of radio-controlled medical BS on him to “stimulate” him as needed.
Ear piece and jacked up….hes using controlled doses of methamphetamines among who knows what else. Hitler liked his drugs to keep alert too.

Just stopping by. Been off the grid for awhile. Hubby and I both had COVID early last month. I got it first. Followed Dr. Zelenko’s protocol, and did quite well with HCQ.
Hubby had it worse, 3 day fever vs my one day, and he has that COVID cough. A medical friend just recommended “Scullcap” (a herb) for it. He’ll take that.
Another medical friend mentioned “Sea Moss” as good for COVID, and general immune health, in case anyone wants to know.
Mostly I noticed very, very tired for a couple of weeks. Interestingly, since taking the HCQ, an autoimmune issue I’ve had for several years has improved.
For that covid cough I was told and had good response to (of all things) Pineapple juice! I don’t know if it is the bromelain but it got the job done. It was one of those “what could it hurt?” situations.
How interesting. Thanks, BillBeakman! I had a random whim to drink pineapple juice a couple of months ago. Usually, I always drink orange juice in the morning. I tried a little six-pack of the cans and really liked it So I got a couple of cases of little cans delivered and grab one of those most mornings. If I get larger bottles or cans, it does not last too long even in the fridge. I never had it by itself before, just long ago in punch. Sometimes I think these random whims are providential.

The absolute best herbal I know for cough is elecampane root, if you can get it. You should be able to at a health food store. The chopped root can be made into a tea, or it can be purchased in powder or in tincture form.
I’m glad you both are through the worst of it. Now you have healthy immunity! And it sounds like the HCQ had side benefits. That’s awesome!

Yes, it’s been interesting to note the similarities and differences between hubs and I. But definitely, the HCQ was helpful. I’m going to try a course of Ivermectin and see if that helps the other immune issue I have.

Speaking of “long-hauling”…..how is the hub’s employment going?
He’s got week one under his belt, Praise God!!! He missed the 4th day with a “stomach bug” that really had him down. He’s hanging in there but it’s been pretty rough. His best days were the ones where he got to drive (which was what he was hired to do), one day on a B truck & the other on the A. He really enjoyed the driving & did well!
Driving days, when they become his norm in another week or so, should be good. Warehouse days with major physical labor in brutal heat (or cold in the winter), that is way more problematic for him since his bout w/ heat stroke/exhaustion with that first job, have been quite challenging. Spending about 2 decades in Tulsa he used to handle the heat Way Better than has been the case the last couple of months. I got heat stroke/exhaustion years ago on a return visit to Tulsa & have been way more heat sensitive since then. I wonder if that experience can cause some kind of permanent change to one’s system?
He got an atta boy from a co-worker who said that he appears to be picking up the techniques for rolling the gas cylinders way faster than most new guys do. That really encouraged him. Those excess physical demands have been hard on that 50 something guy…& the longhaulers breathing & heart issues don’t help. Soon we hope to get some Ivermectin to see if that will help.
Next week he’ll likely be in the more office-type setting, w/ A/C!!! There he’ll learn about handling customer orders which will help him know the software & devices that are used including in his delivery & pick up trucking roll.
His steel-toe boots, which he’s worn for months or even years without problems at his old job, are causing him to get blisters. It may have to do with the motions necessary to manhandle 2 gas cylinders. He’s been using moleskin & gauze & tape but his feet get so sweaty that sometimes they fall off–not his feet, the “bandages” that is 😉
I was hoping he could use moisture-wicking socks that he uses for hunting but he thinks they are too short for the boot length up over his ankles. Maybe when he’s not rolling cylinders for 10 or 11 hours in a day like Mon & Fri it won’t be as big of a hassle.
For the first time in his life, & in my family (that I know of), he’s going to be a union employee. Insurance, & pay scales, are handled by the union. We’ll have a bit of a learning curve on all that…

I didn’t finish it. I have to say that he/she/it is one of the most shallow people I’ve ever had the misfortune of knowing/reading. For example, the screed describes a lack of behind-the-scenes drama as a badge of wonderful unicorn dust. It never dawned on them (at hotair) that the reason they got along so well is that nobody ever tried to go to a deeper part of the pool, so to speak. If the water is shallow, drowning is an extremely unlikely possibility.

Features a trailer for the new Disney cartoon show where the story centers around a 13 year old comic girl being groomed as the anti-christ. And a second vid of a fairly good explainer of why we need to take this stuff seriously.
They’re running this spot in prime time programming. I first saw it last week and was in momentary shock.
I saw it a few days ago on my youtube as a preview…during a childrens video. Its why kiddo isnt allowed to watch anything w/o permission.

I’d say SD has earned the right to be taken seriously when he voices his concerns about DeSantis…or anyone else ftm.
After all, we thought Barr was a good man we could trust before he made fools out of us.
SD tried to warn us.
Let’s not make the same mistake twice?
(And to be clear, neither SD (nor I, ftm) are suggesting people withhold their vote for DeSantis in Nov. This is all about the 2024 cycle and getting ahead of the GOPe).

I humbly suggest taking the DeSantis warning seriously while remembering SD’s track record, which is too good to be ignored.

PS – Sadie’s post re: Biden assassination FF terrifies me. It is the exact same kind of scheme they used to start WW1, and it is entirely plausible. They cannot afford the House to go to the GOP, where…for example…. Jim Jordan is in line to become chair of the judiciary committee and launch investigations with subpoena power. They desperately need a “incredible” narrative to explain away the election theft they are preparing, and a presidential assassination of a man riddled with dementia not only fits the bill but would ensure the Biden’s never get investigated. Nice cover up all the way around. That FF would serve many purposes, just like COVID did. Speaking of, they need a continued distraction from THAT failure and ensure there are no investigations into that, too.
