God’s Grace
The gospel message is the good news of God’s grace, so it is important to know what grace is and to constantly seek to get a better view of what grace does in our lives.
Grace is an essential part of God’s character. Grace is closely related to God’s benevolence, love, and mercy. Grace can be variously defined as “God’s favor toward the unworthy” or “God’s benevolence on the undeserving.” In His grace, God is willing to forgive us and bless us abundantly, in spite of the fact that we don’t deserve to be treated so well or dealt with so generously.
To fully understand grace, we need to consider who we were without Christ and who we become with Christ. We were born in sin (Psalm 51:5), and we were guilty of breaking God’s holy laws (Romans 3:9–20, 23; 1 John 1:8–10). We were enemies of God (Romans 5:6, 10; 8:7; Colossians 1:21), deserving of death (Romans 6:23a). We were unrighteous (Romans 3:10) and without means of justifying ourselves (Romans 3:20). Spiritually, we were destitute, blind, unclean, and dead. Our souls were in peril of everlasting punishment.
But then came grace. God extended His favor to us. Grace is what saves us (Ephesians 2:8). Grace is the essence of the gospel (Acts 20:24). Grace gives us victory over sin (James 4:6). Grace gives us “eternal encouragement and good hope” (2 Thessalonians 2:16). Paul repeatedly identified grace as the basis of his calling as an apostle (Romans 15:15; 1 Corinthians 3:10; Ephesians 3:2, 7). Jesus Christ is the embodiment of grace, coupled with truth (John 1:14).
The Bible repeatedly calls grace a “gift” (e.g., Ephesians 4:7). This is an important analogy because it teaches us some key things about grace:
First, anyone who has ever received a gift understands that a gift is much different from a loan, which requires repayment or return by the recipient. The fact that grace is a gift means that nothing is owed in return.
Second, there is no cost to the person who receives a gift. A gift is free to the recipient, although it is not free to the giver, who bears the expense. The gift of salvation costs us sinners nothing. But the price of such an extravagant gift came at a great cost for our Lord Jesus, who died in our place.
Third, once a gift has been given, ownership of the gift has transferred and it is now ours to keep. There is a permanence in a gift that does not exist with loans or advances. When a gift changes hands, the giver permanently relinquishes all rights to renege or take back the gift in future. God’s grace is ours forever.
Fourth, in the giving of a gift, the giver voluntarily forfeits something he owns, willingly losing what belongs to him so that the recipient will profit from it. The giver becomes poorer so the recipient can become richer. This generous and voluntary exchange from the giver to the recipient is visible in 2 Corinthians 8:9: “You know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.”
Finally, the Bible teaches that grace is completely unmerited. The gift and the act of giving have nothing at all to do with our merit or innate quality (Romans 4:4; 11:5–6; 2 Timothy 1:9–10). In fact, the Bible says quite clearly that we don’t deserve God’s salvation. Romans 5:8–10 says, “God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. . . . While we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son.”
Grace does not stop once we are saved; God is gracious to us for the rest of our lives, working within and upon us. The Bible encourages us with many additional benefits that grace secures for every believer:
• Grace justifies us before a holy God (Romans 3:24; Ephesians 1:6; Titus 3:7).
• Grace provides us access to God to communicate and fellowship with Him (Ephesians 1:6; Hebrews 4:16).
• Grace wins for us a new relationship of intimacy with God (Exodus 33:17).
• Grace disciplines and trains us to live in a way that honors God (Titus 2:11–14; 2 Corinthians 8:7).
• Grace grants us immeasurable spiritual riches (Proverbs 10:22; Ephesians 2:7).
• Grace helps us in our every need (Hebrews 4:16).
• Grace is the reason behind our every deliverance (Psalm 44:3–8; Hebrews 4:16).
• Grace preserves us and comforts, encourages, and strengthens us (2 Corinthians 13:14; 2 Thessalonians 2:16–17; 2 Timothy 2:1).
Grace is actively and continually working in the lives of God’s people. Paul credited the success of his ministry not to his own substantial labors but to “the grace of God that was with me” (1 Corinthians 15:10). Grace is the ongoing, benevolent act of God working in us, without which we can do nothing (John 15:5). Grace is greater than our sin (Romans 5:20), more abundant than we expect (1 Timothy 1:14), and too wonderful for words (2 Corinthians 9:15).
As the recipients of God’s grace, Christians are to be gracious to others. Grace is given to us to serve others and to exercise our spiritual gifts for the building up of the church (Romans 12:6; Ephesians 3:2, 7; 4:7; 1 Peter 4:10).
Grace! Indeed! We need to look at the amazing gift we’ve been given. And then to use it wisely.

This perpetuates the perception that voters in the state are on the knife’s edge & can be swayed one way or another, hence the “swing”. People think of banks as secure storerooms for their cash. You put it in, you get a receipt, you want the money back, they take the receipt, and you get it back. If you’ve watched “It’s a Wonderful Life”, however, you know (even in a fictitious “pure” form) that’s not what happens. Your money gets lent to Wally for his house and Mr. Smith for his business — they pay interest to the bank (that gets a skim) and the bank pays interest to you. If too many people want their cash when it has been used for the bank’s interests, you can have a “run on the bank”.
That gets you to bank regulators, and bank “insurance” like FDIC and FSLIC, and “lenders of last resort” like the Federal Reserve — and you can go back to sleep knowing it will never happen to you.
Exchanges like FTX wanted to be the “banks” of cryptocurrencies — nominally secure storerooms….but, as Karl notes at https://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?post=247398 ….that doesn’t pay the office rent and keep the lights on. So they have to do something that makes a profit. For FTX, that “something” was to siphon off FTX customer funds and have that kid trade at Alameda Partners. Once the trades made big bucks, they’d replace the customer cryptocurrencies, pocket the profits, and they’d be rich. And without all that pesky regulation and oversight.
Problem is, the general case for what they were planning is criminal in almost all jurisdictions under a variety of statutes mostly including fraud. Banks are a special case in these laws and that’s why people bother with chartering banks.

What happens if they throw a Central Bank Digital Currency party, and nobody comes?
Why would most people agree to use it, when by the time they get around to issuing it, everyone should be aware that it’s just a thinly disguised tracking and surveillance and behavior control device?
Trust and credibility of the government is less than zero, and that’s on non-financial matters.
If physical fiat is removed from circulation in an attempt to force CBDC use, or any other measure is taken to force compliance with CBDC, that will be the equivalent of naked aggression and demonstration of totalitarian intent.
I am so far unaware of even a single benefit to the public from accepting and using a CBDC, while the downside is obvious and will only grow more so with each new abuse of power.

Right on time, (and still in the section regarding Covid), the author of the CPE text brings up the Altman Z score [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altman_Z-score ]. This was a numeric measurement developed by Edward Altman that correlated well against the subject going bankrupt within two years. It was originally described in an academic paper in 1968, but took off in popularity after Gregory Eidleman referenced it in a paper for CPAs in 1995.
It was shortly after that when I had a telephone conversation with Professor Altman. I only had the Eidleman “for CPAs” description of how it worked, and I was trying to write it up for audit workpapers, so I called him with some questions. He’s a real mensch — for one thing, he took my call….for another thing, he explained what I needed to understand. But he became increasingly agitated as we spoke.
In his view, he had published an academic paper. Using it to straitjacket companies into “going concern” audit opinions was an untoward extension of purely theoretical analysis into potentially unjustified practical application.
I tried to reassure him by noting the firm’s professional judgement was that the client was already circling the drain, but we anticipated a certain amount of pushback from the client regarding that opinion — and we’d just be using the Altman Z to help demonstrate the futility of arguing the point.
I’m sure he was increasingly horrified in further decades when the Altman Z became part of the standard audit toolkit.

I’ve heard about election fraud for two solid years. Multiple means of cheating, proof on video, proof on computer data, arrests of people who voted a few times and got caught, crooked secretaries of state, unlawful procedures, ad nauseam. I don’t need to know every detail of how it’s done. That might come in handy when talking with the extremely rare person who actually wants facts, and I will look at it, but I don’t need it.
The people who do need it either don’t get the information or, if they do get it, ignore it and thwart the efforts of those trying to rectify the situation.
What I want to know is what is being done about it. And not just the fact of the cheating, but correcting the stolen elections and prosecuting the people involved in it. Not firing, not censuring, not allowing them to retire, but prosecuting. And restoring the rightful winners to office.
This should have been done for PDJT and others after 2020, but not enough people understood or believed or were willing to act. It was too new, then. We said that 2020 must be corrected or we will never have fair elections again. And some efforts were made to do so, but the Repubs thwarted many of them. Now we’re on the way to permanent Dem majorities, which amounts to a takeover of the country, a coup.
IMO, we’re WAY past being outraged about what is being done and the methods being used. We don’t have time for everyone to get educated about it or to understand it. Something needs to be done ASAP. The public doesn’t have to understand the details of a crime in order for it to be prosecuted.

We know enough right now for things to be done, but I don’t see them getting done. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Report from the Flea Market.
We often go to a large flea market that is heavily Hispanic. We were there last Sat & Sun. On Sat. I asked one of the fresh veggie vendors for a flat of mushrooms on sat. (I have been buy the flats for years.) They didn’t have one and told me to come back Sun. I went back on Sun to pick up the flat and they DID NOT HAVE ANY. Not only that the Fruit & veggies were mostly gone AND by 12:34 PM the dried beans were COMPLETELY GONE! We are talking 40 feet of bins of loose beans — ALL SOLD.
The large Fruit & Veggie vendor across from us was NOT EVEN THERE for the first time in 20 years. I did not have a chance to check the other vendors. I wish I had.
Also Wally Mart did not have 15 bean soup and Food Lion was $5.00 a bag.

We are in north central AR now. The fresh produce has been scarce here as well. Farmers markets not so hot because of the drought. We have been able to get the beans however. Got 2 bags of the Cajun 15 bean last week and 2 bags of the hambean 15 bean this week. Eggs are also in short supply as well. We have been stocking up on various canned tomatoes also. Hoping the spring planting does good for us. We got out here around the beginning of Sept. and need to get our gardens laid out and going. Raised beds most likely to get started. Our TN garden was already “broken in” nicely and always produced for the most part.
Get some good composted manure, that you are certain contains no Round Up, and dig it into your soil. With it, turn in some fallen leaves, coffee grounds (Starbucks and other coffee places give them away), and throw on your veggie kitchen waste all winter. By spring, you should have a good start on “broken in.”
We already have a good pile going…just dumped some more in a few minutes ago. There are many cow farms around so we should be able to get manure to compost for next year. Back in TN we used composted manure, mushroom compost, dirt from the woods, and bagged garden soil for our raised beds. Will do similar here in AR.

We all like Ron, no doubt. But what is it exactly that we like about him? I made a short list:
1) Covid policy – STATE issue
2) Sending illegals to another state – STATE issue
3) Taking Disney’s tax breaks away – STATE issue
4) Handles hurricanes well – STATE issue
What experience does Ron bring to the table to enable him to represent America on the WORLD stage? Talking to the likes of Putin, Xi, and Little Rocket Man?
The answer is, NONE, as far as I can tell.
The reason why Trump is and was so great as President was his international experiences. The President of the United States is meant, Constitutionally, to deal with WORLD affairs, not STATE affairs. And Trump understood that. He delegated state issues to the states.
We have lost our way in the U.S. Governors of individual states are meant to be the ones handling the “small ball” issues of their own people. The President needs to understand international politics and global economics.
Trump does. Ron has shown me nothing to make me think he does. He’s a GREAT governor of Florida. But what does he bring to the table to be President?
As you get out and about today, please to remind our DeSantis loving friends that he had a Republican House and Republican Senate, in Florida with both of those being GOPe Free! Like Trump said, a third rate Gov should be able to capitalize on that. QUESTION: Could it be any worse than a Trump-Pence ticket? It is my OPINION that Trump has been psychologically damaged by all the public betrayal in the past six years. Trump has plenty of support but almost all of it comes from voters (people with no power). I don’t see how even if he were to be elected how his 2nd term would accomplish anything revolutionary unless the the political culture returns to the rule of law. For that to happen a whole lot of powerful people will need to go to prison. From my observation tower in 2022 I do not see how that will happen; too much money, too much corruption.

Here’s some truth about John Fetterman, from a different angle —
Yours Truly was the residential rental property landowner of a house on 2nd Street in Braddock, PA, where John Fetterman was the mayor from 2006 – 2019. The property was sold in 2012 because the town had become so dilapidated and the area had become a place where it wasn’t safe to be out between dusk and dawn.
IMO, based on that experience, is that John Fetterman did nothing for Braddock, PA. The town (part of a “ring” of steel-workers towns and steel mills that included Rankin, Whitaker, East Pittsburgh, Duquesne, etc.) went downhill big time after the steel mills closed in the late 1970s – early 1980s. Braddock, like many of those other little towns, never “came back” from the loss of the mills. Those who could, moved out. Those who couldn’t, stayed and watched as their towns became infested with crime, drugs, low-income housing, “welfare types”, schools that went from good to terrible, churches closing due to no parishioners, and so on.
John Fetterman, instead of attracting new industries and businesses to Braddock, and people to work in the new industries and businesses, spent his time as mayor in creating money-wasting “programs” for the local youth, which did no good.
IMO, Fetterman always had his sights set on higher political office. IMO, he “used” Braddock as a “starting-off place” to become Lt. Gov. of Pennsylvania. Now he’s in the U.S. Senate. IMO, he’s a kind of grifter. Perfect target for TPTB. It worked.

Many, many people are a million miles away from understanding this. And those who do understand it, understand that the other side understood this a long time ago and prepared the metaphorical battlefield to make sure it did not happen.
I have not seen any non-emotion based arguments to the above propositions, but plenty of (to my mind) irrelevant concern about others people’s emotional states.
But the fact that we cannot discuss the issue rationally anywhere and under any circumstances, shows how effectively the necessity has been anticipated and suppressed.
Important takeaway, we’re not alone in this…it’s been going on for a long time pan culturally.

I saw video of the voting center at the Univ of Michigan. They have their own building. It is probably a precinct. So I would think you would get a tally of how the votes went within a precinct.

So that would be an indication, and it would be an accurate indication, as far as it goes. But if you want to know how college students voted it’s not enough; you may have a difference between on-campus and off-campus.

Last night at the Quayle dinner at Pleasant Hill KY we were seated with 4 young men between 36-43.
One was a West Point graduate, Then a Junior High School principle , a Mechanical Engineer and one person I did not ask what he did. My hope was renewed because we all thought the same about country where it is heading and election. They were conservative Christians. One was a Gov. Contractor had to take the jab. Two days later he had a stroke found himself in the hospital and high blood pressure. Never had been sick before. He told his wife a nurse to stay home so she should not get the jab and she is homeschooling.
My husband and they exchanged business card. They told us we were part of their evening and took a picture.
It was good to get away and be among others from the country who are MEGA and for this country. There are more of us then them .

Yours Truly: It’s amazing to watch M. Trudeau fils “get” his “booster shot” at large pharmacy. Whole thing looks staged. In fact, IMO, something looked weird about his “getting” the “shots.” One was taught to give IM injections at home to one’s late husband in between the visits by the RNs. The muscle is supposed to be held between the administrator’s thumb and index finger while the shot is given. With M. Trudeau fils, this didn’t happen with either the “booster shot” or with the “flu shot” that he supposedly “got.” One was also taught to have another alcohol wipe ready to clean the injection area right after giving the injection. Again, this did not happen with M. Trudeau fils.
M. Trudeau fils then made a statement about how Canadian, including children, need to get the “booster shot.”

Mr; Miller enumerates a list of newborns / tiny babies and young children who have recently “died suddenly” in Canada. The descriptions say the same thing: “No cause of death reported.” The Pfizer-BioNTech and the Moderna COVID-19 “vaccines” and “booster shots” are approved for persons age 6 months and over in Canada.
The Miller article also discusses the enormous increase of COVID-19 hospitalizations among young children in Quebec.
IMO, the “elephant in the room” with the “died suddenly” cases and the increase of COVID-19 hospitalizations in young children in Canada is the COVID-19 “vaccines” and “booster shots” — in the “died suddenly” cases, both for the deceased children older than 6 months, AND for the deceased newborns / tiny babies under 6 months of age. Unless something like SIDS killed these babies, the “vaccines” and “booster shots” that were given to their MOTHERS while they were pregnant may well be responsible for the deaths of these youngest children — via transplacental transfer and/or via the mother’s milk after giving birth. IMO, the immune systems of fetuses or of newborns / tiny babies aren’t ready to make, or to cope with, the enormous amount of antibodies that the “vaccines” and “booster shots” force the body to create.
We just saw our son & daughter-in-law & spoke of their dear friend’s 3 week old baby daughter. Apparently the baby is very fussy, rarely eats much via breastfeeding, is barely gaining weight, & looks to be somewhat jaundiced based on a recent pic they showed us. I asked if the mom had taken the shot & they speculated that she had though they didn’t know for sure. I wondered if this likely vax’d mom’s spike protein transfer was a major factor in the many issues with her child.
