It’s not just that adults now show children indecent images in sex education’s name, rubber stamp elementary school Satan clubs in deference to “religious freedom” and tell kids they can switch sexes just by willing it. It’s also what the “good” people fighting these abominations often do.
On November 14, the Keller Independent School District (KISD), in Texas, prohibited its school libraries from carrying books containing references to “gender fluidity”; of course, they never should’ve been there in the first place because people don’t have “gender” (words do) and sex isn’t fluid. But here’s what is permitted, among other things, under the KISD’s “more virtuous” revised policy:
“Minimal profanity is allowed in elementary and intermediate schools, middle schools are allowed some, while high schools are allowed…[common] profanity in its library material,” as the Daily Dot puts it.
Seriously? “Minimal profanity” for grade-school kids? How about minimal teacher groping, minimal dispensing of heroin needles, and minimal intra-school fight-club bouts with minimal eye gouging?

Alex Berenson should have stuck with his reporting on COVID-19 and the “vaccines”, which IMO was some pretty good work.

I can’t recall ever having seen that album cover before.
I also never “backed into it” by getting into a later version of the band and attempting to complete the discography.
I don’t have it, I just recognized it. I’m sure it’s because I came across many copies years ago, while searching online for original UK 1st pressing near mint mono LPs of the early Rolling Stones albums.
Up to and including Beggars Banquet (1968) and Let it Bleed (1969) which were the two I wanted most, and naturally (and without fail!) the most expensive.
Add Sticky Fingers (1971, but released on the then newly formed Rolling Stones record label, not on Decca) along with Exile on Main Street (1972) and that’s my favorite era of Rolling Stones music.
Sort of like the Beatles, I like all of them, and some of my favorite songs are on earlier albums, but my favorite Beatles albums are The Beatles (usually called the White Album,1968), Abbey Road (1969) and Let it Be (1970).
UK original first issues of those in near mint condition aren’t easy to find either.
The Moody Blues started out on the Decca label in the UK (and on the London label in the U.S., same as the Rolling Stones), before switching to the Deram Label for Days of Future Passed (1967).
So the UK mono issue of The Magnificent Moodies is on the same bright red mono Decca label as the early mono Rolling Stones albums, with the ‘ffrr’ logo (Full Frequency Range Recording) and the human ear logo.

When I was in HS a friend of a friend bought two copies of every Mody Blues album so they have one unopened copy. I thought he was crazy, but maybe he wasn’t.

There are actually two sealed copies on eBay right now, which is very unusual, since LPs were rarely sealed in the UK, at least back in the 1960s.
But these were both imports, way back when, and likely sealed after arrival in North America. One is from a Canadian seller, with a starting bid of $886.
The other is from an American seller, at a comparative bargain opening bid of just $399.
The last one is Van Der Graaf Generator, the album Present (2005):

I had to figure that one out, but the Moody Blues I recognized, along with Jethro Tull, King Crimson, Yes and Pink Floyd.

I’ve “thickened up” my music collection by picking up $1 CDs at a local record store and ripping them to disk without immediately listening to them.
Unfortunately, I seldom get Prog there because they tend to maintain higher pricing.
Unless you are already purposely collecting early 1st issue CDs (made in West Germany or Japan, because they had the first CD manufacturing plants in the world in the early 1980s, and they actually cared about quality control), you might try a little experiment.
For albums you really like, try getting a first issue CD, to compare with a modern remaster / reissue of the same album. For any album originally released from around 1989 or earlier, it was originally transferred to digital before Pro Tools and other digital manipulation software was invented or widely used.
And before the ‘loudness wars’ began, when somebody got the bright idea that compressing the daylights out of the music, so the dynamic range was lost but the whole song sounded LOUDER, was a good idea.
On the early CD issues, usually the soft parts of a song are soft, and the loud parts are loud, so the music ‘breathes’ and sounds natural.
From around 1989-1990 onward, most CDs were ‘remastered’ with higher compression (much less dynamic range) and subjected to other digital manipulation, which frequently makes them sound too bright, too sterile, lacking the ‘warmth’ of the original recording, and generally leads to ‘listening fatigue’, especially at higher volume.
The older CDs, those which were transferred to digital before the later ‘remasters’, before all the digital manipulation tools were created, often sound much better.
The newer remasters often include bonus tracks so they’re good to have for that reason, but for listening pleasure, if listening to CDs, I always seek out the old ones, and/or the newer remasters issued by smaller audiophile labels who care about these things and do it right.
Discogs.com makes it easy to find the catalog numbers of the earliest CD pressings for any particular album, which will nearly always be a Japan or West German issue, OR a U.S. issue (usually the first U.S. issue, from the same year as the West German or Japan issue, or sometimes from the following year) that usually says “Made in Japan” or “Made in West Germany” somewhere on the disc face, in small print. The discogs.com listings nearly always have photos and details about these things mentioned in the descriptions.
If nobody on Discogs.com has one for sale at a reasonable price, you can usually find one on eBay, or just do an Internet search for the UPC bar code number to find one at various online music stores.
Some of the early CDs are pre-bar code, so that can make it a little more challenging, but you can still search by the catalog number.
You can also check the dynamic range of many recordings (LP and CD) at an online database set up for just that purpose:

Dynamic range is not the ONLY factor of course, i.e., there are exceptions where newer remasters sound better than the first CD issues.
This usually happens because of two things:
1) an original tape source was found, which may not have been available when the first CD of the album was issued, and so the remaster is made from an original master tape
and
2) the mastering engineer knows what he’s doing, and because of his reputation and length of time in the business, is allowed by the record company to do it his way, instead of bowing to pressure from the record company to just make it sound AS LOUD AS IT POSSIBLY CAN BY SQUASHING ALL THE DYNAMIC RANGE.
But for the most part, mastering engineers have to do what they’re told, so they’re only allowed to work their magic (make the music sound like it’s supposed to, as good as it can sound) when doing mastering work for audiophile reissue labels, who want the music to sound as good as it can.
Labels like MFSL (Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs, which used to be on gold colored CDs, now on hybrid CD / SACDs), the DCC label (also on gold colored CDs, from the 1990s), and a few others.
But as a general rule, the higher the dynamic range — and therefore the greater the volume difference between the softest and loudest parts of the song — the better 👍 😁
A guy named Steve Hoffman is a mastering engineer who did all of the gold CDs for the DCC label in the 1990s and early 2000s, and then worked for a label called Audio Fidelity.
He started a blog in the early 1990s which has grown ever since, with a membership (currently 110,000 members from around the world) whose primary interest is in finding the best sounding recording examples of their favorite music, whether on LP or CD (or SACD, or DVD-A, etc.).

Why does any of it matter?
Sort of like computers, i.e., garbage in, garbage out.
Because even if you have a million dollar stereo system, if the recording (LP or CD) isn’t very good, it’s not going to sound very good.
Conversely, if you have the best sounding recording available (on CD or LP), it will at least sound good, even on a inexpensive stereo system.
But if you can match the best sounding CD or LP issue with a good (or better) stereo system… that’s where all the magic happens, when it sounds like the musicians are in your room, or you are at the recording studio, or at the concert hall 👍 😁
And if you already knew all of that, then as Roseanne Roseannadanna once said (several times, actually)…

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Have a couple of prayer requests for the warriors on here if so inclined. Very much appreciated.
1) The Grandson – he has a really bad case of the flu/COVID/virus – whatever – that has hit around the country. He did not need this with his health reconstruction underway. He is now under 50 lbs as a 9 year old. Fever, vomiting, respiratory issues. The test result will be back to his pediatrician by early afternoon so they know how to treat. It has been going on for 5 days. We need the little guy to kick this. He was headed to his neurologist tomorrow on a follow-up test result relating to researching his genetics, MRI and EEG for the proper meds to use in treating his other issues. That has been postponed. We are seeking God’s healing touch.
2) A long term neighbor and friend is dying of cancer. She has Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) that started in her leg muscles and is spreading. Her medical providers are running out of treatment options and give her a year at most. She has accepted it and has been ready to go for years as she has suffered severe pancreatic attacks for decades. Her husband’s health is marginal and he is not taking the news well at all. They have other family nearby, but had no children. Please pray for both to be comforted and for release from pain for Judy. They are both Christians. The jabs may have added to the negative impact on their health. Judy was pressured to take them due to low immunity during chemo and later, proton therapy treatments. Her husband had a stroke 5-6 years ago and suffered more health issues recently.

I’m so sorry to hear of this news. Vomiting complicates keeping hydration levels good, for sure. Can you get him on IVM, since there are respiratory issues? Does the doctor suspect RSV? Sending prayers, Good Energy, Deep Healing, and Deep Wisdom for you all and for the doctor.
Sending prayers and Deep Comfort for Judy and her husband. IMO, the J_A_B may well have aggravated / complicated her cancer, as well as having a negative effect on her husband’s health.

Thanks, RDS. With the grandson he tested negative in the office for RSV as well as flu and COVID – yet it got worse. So they did a more definitive test and sent it off the the lab. Should know in a few more hours. He has been able to eat a few things and they are keeping him hydrated.
I’ve actually been hospitalized twice in my life for flu, simply because I got so dehydrated I required I.V. fluids.
Being a thinner person I think has an effect.
The smaller one is, the less blood volume, the quicker to dehydrate.

B – bananas
R – Rice
A – Applesauce
T – Toast
It is bland enough not to upset their stomach more, and the bananas help with diarrhea issues, if there are any.

Our work is to be in such close contact with God that we may have His mind about everything, but we shirk that responsibility by substituting doing for interceding. And yet intercession is the only thing that has no drawbacks, because it keeps our relationship completely open with God.
What we must avoid in intercession is praying for someone to be simply “patched up.” We must pray that person completely through into contact with the very life of God. Think of the number of people God has brought across our path, only to see us drop them! When we pray on the basis of redemption, God creates something He can create in no other way than through intercessory prayer.

The story that I heard, regarding the flag, is that he originally put it on a 90 foot flagpole, and was told that city ordinances limited the flagpole to 60 feet. He ignored them, and they started fining him $1000/day (or some such) for every day he flew the flag from the illegal pole. He ignored them until the unpaid fines started getting into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. The city sued him to collect. He sued them for being targeted unjustly. Went around and around.
Finally, he agreed to pay the amount of his fine to a veterans’ charity and to remove the “illegal flagpole”. Before the ink was dry, he had his landscaping crew building a 30-foot artificial hill where there now stands a 60-foot flagpole — meaning that the flag is in exactly the same place.

I also suspect that, in the algebra of elicited antibodies, the “original antigenic sin” (OAS) of the original vaccine spike protein causes problems, in that either (1) it does not “boost” well with new sequences, and/or (2) there is an ADE type effect, whereby a higher dose of a new sequence causes problems, so the lower dose of new sequences in a trivalent vaccine makes it less likely to show the effect.
Translation: Since Delta didn’t kill you the 1st time and Omicron is too weak to probably do it, here, have a dose of the killer, we’ll try again. We’ve got to reduce world population in half by 2023 and we’re behind schedule.

I’m not defending TikTok here. The platform is obviously being weaponized against Americans, and I supported President Trump’s fight against it. But if Congress actually does something years later after the damage has already been done, it won’t be out of genuine concern for Americans.
