It’s curious that SD is calling the AZ revelations into question.
I realize the circumstances sound sketchy, i.e., investigator/attorney (Thaler) discovers his wife is central to statewide corruption involving every level of gov’t and a drug cartel. Thaler is also involved in a child custody battle with (the now ex-wife) Mrs. Kingpin.
HOWEVER:
Criminal organizations don’t associate with a lot of good people, so any insight to the internal machinations is normally going to involve some shady people. If Thaler is for real, it’s hard to believe his wife was involved to the extent claimed, under his nose, until he discovered her role as a result of an investigation on behalf of someone else (if I understood correctly). There is almost certainly more to the story, maybe the background story is contrived in order to protect a source, etc., but if he has the evidence and it holds up under scrutiny, that matters more than the circumstances surrounding how he came across it.
The massive corruption in AZ is undeniable, and whatever the truth is, it has to be something similar in scale and magnitude to what Thaler is alleging.
Because what other credible hypothetical scenario could explain how AZ is practically a rogue state, that doesn’t involve more or less the same people (i.e., gov’t and police and judges), and huge amounts of cash coming from somewhere?
Whatever has gone so wrong in AZ would have to involve a lot of state and local gov’t people at every level, including police and judges.
What is the most obvious source of massive amounts of illicit money, in proximity to AZ?
Proximity to the border provides means, motive and opportunity for massive bribery, which is standard operating procedure on the other side of the border, so it’s not like anyone is having to reinvent the wheel.
It would also explain border policy, both in AZ and 10% Joe.
Granted, I want to believe, but in a scenario like this, that’s always going to be the case. It’s not something out of the blue like an allegation of child molestation by some celebrity, there’s obviously something seriously wrong in AZ.
The crimes alleged by Thaler would answer a whole lot of questions — questions whose answers necessarily involve corruption on a large scale.
It just reminded me of John 7:31, “And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done?” (KJV)
The analogy being that whatever the truth about AZ corruption turns out to be, will it (can it?) be substantially different than what Thaler is claiming?
Thaler’s allegations fit the scenario.
If Thaler is a plant, to make allegations which are then proven false in order to provide cover for the real corruption in AZ, that would seem to be getting too cute by half (and half again).
I mean, there’s chutzpah, and then there’s just begging for trouble. Thaler’s allegations, if part of a ruse, are going to bring so much scrutiny to AZ that the criminals would be taking a huge and unnecessary risk that the real corruption would be exposed as a result of the ruse.
There is definitely something rotten in Denmark, and Hobbs is central to it.
If what Thaler is claiming is not what Hobbs (and many, many others) are wrapped up in, then what other hypothetical scenario could explain what Thaler’s claims appear to explain so well?
The other side of the coin is that if Thaler (and what would turn out to be his co-conspirators) has made all of this up, in order to win a child custody case, he and everyone who aided and abetted such an attack on the system that — if he’s just making it up — he and his team would have to be suicidal.
Extraordinary claims, such as Thaler has made, will draw so much scrutiny (from all sides) that if he is making this up, he will absolutely be found out.
And if that’s the case, being ruined professionally and financially will be the least of his concerns.
So it’s a wait-and-see, but there is so much smoke in AZ, it’s hard to imagine the fire Thaler found isn’t the source — because if it isn’t, then the source must be something very similar, yet different.

Agreed, and IMO, it also goes for things like “bread” and “breakfast cereal”, etc., made with “quinoa flour” or “quinoa berries.”
IIRC, the Peru locals and tribes were pretty well adapted to eating it, a substandard grain but it was local and had merit as a multigenerational food source. It was cheap and readily available.
Then when it was discovered it was promoted into this massive health food, which it isn’t, and suddenly quinoa exports were through the roof and it was being grown everywhere.
But the Peruvian locals saw the prices of it skyrocket and it’s no longer a cheap, available grain for them.
A classic example of Leftist colonialism and exploitation of indigenous people at work.

If your property wasn’t worth much AND there was no CDS on it you got a modification. If there was a CDS then you were strung along with ‘lost paperwork’ for months and then hit with a huge bill due in 30 days. The bill includes all back payments owed, penalties AND Lawyers fees. If you managed to beg, borrow or steal the money, dance #2 started. The bank then claims it can not give you an answer to the question of just how much money was needed to keep the house from being foreclosed on because they did not know what the lawyer fees were. So additional thousands have to be spent on lawyers to get the banks to cough up the answer to the simple question HOW MUCH. This takes months with additional penalties and lawyers fees piling up (From personal experience)

The 2015 paper from Ralph Baric, et al., at UNC, cited in the linked article, have some * very interesting * items, in addition to the main body of the paper.
First: It appears that NIH / NIAID (Anthony Fauci, a friend / mentor of Baric) funded the research for the paper with multiple grants. Some of these grants were apparently “laundered” through EcoHealth Alliance (Peter Daszak.) There were also grants involved from the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
Second: Zheng-li Shi brought a SARS-CoV type virus with her to Baric’s lab when she went there to work with him on this paper. The virus she brought FROM THE WUHAN INSTITUTE OF VIROLOGY LAB was SHC014. It was THIS virus that was experimented with at Baric’s lab in the process of coming up with SARS-CoV-2. IMO, it was this CREATED VARIANT of SHC014 that Shi took BACK with her to the WUHAN lab which then eventually became SARS-CoV-2 (“COVID-19.”)
This raises the following questions: Who funded the experiments at the Wuhan lab that came up with SHC014? Why would Shi go to Baric’s lab at UNC, bringing this virus sample with her, to work with Baric? What did Anthony Fauci know about all this, and when did he know it?
Third: The SHC014 virus experiments and its created variant viruses experiments performed at the Baric lab in 2015 (and beyond) were funded as GAIN-OF-FUNCTION research under a “grandfather-in” arrangement with NIH / NIAID. This arrangement was agreed on BEFORE the U.S. government paused Gain-of-Function research.

Dear Q-Treepers I would appreciate prayers for my daughter-in-law Tara & her family for her elderly father just died over the weekend. He has been in & out of the hospital &/or rehab center since a little after our mutual granddaughter was born last Summer. He is now Home with the Lord & though there is relief that his suffering is over he will be sorely missed. His wife, now widow, is a few months younger than me. She is the mother of 3 & the grandmother of 3 who will be gathering later this week to celebrate Harry’s homegoing.

Make very sure his widow is visited regularly AND IS EATING WELL! This is a very dangerous time for her. She is not going to want to cook for one and depression is going to take away her appetite. Bringing over meals and eating with her is going to help. Get her outside in the fresh air and sunshine. As our favorite eggplant notes FOREST BATHE, get out in nature.
The first 6 months will be the worst.
Thank you Gail for this wisdom. Ironically Harry’s widow has never really been much of a cook & prefers to eat take out food. She has been watching our granddaughter Lilah one day a week while Tara is working & since Harry’s illness this time with Lilah has become the highlight of her week.
She works (nearly?) full time in a local funeral home–she’s the one who told me about the extreme clotting found & widely discussed by embalmers after covid but Before the clot shots came on the scene. I’m guessing that Harry’s funeral will be either where she works or at one of the affiliated funeral homes so I’m concerned that it will be difficult for her going forward to work in the place where her husband’s mortal remains were last seen.
We have a cousin who had a Very Difficult time dealing with death, her father had died when she was like 12 & had told Her all of his post-death requirements for the care of his wife & 2 daughters (she was the eldest) instead of putting this burden on his wife (for some reason). She could barely enter the same room in the funeral parlor where her father had been laid when another relative was laid out there some years later.
She was Very Close to my grandfather, he actually walked her down the aisle to give her away to his nephew at her wedding. They have a cottage just a few blocks from The Cottage where my grandpa lived alone the last decade of his life. After Grandpa died it was more than a Decade before she’d even Enter our cottage even though they’d come by to visit for the holidays that we were all mutually Up North.
Now that this cousin has been widowed for a number of years & also lives in a nursing home she has learned to comfort herself with rather confused hallucinations of her husband still visiting her or a man who looks just like her husband & shares his name who comes to see her as her boyfriend…
Harry’s wife/widow was in the process of preparing a room on the main floor of their home so that he could come home to live since he’d been rallying quite a bit recently & the staff wanted her to take him home. Although he’s been up & down a number of times over the months I think this was the First time they actually thought he would return home. His health problems began with a fall where his knee collapsed so he wouldn’t be able to climb stairs to their room had he returned home.
FWIW he may also be another Death Jab casualty w/ clotting, strokes, & I believe a heart attack being part of what has been dealt with these last 6 months 🙁

The first 6 months after losing a spouse are the worst for the surviving spouse.
Harry’s widow, among the myriad of things she’ll have to attend to, needs to MAKE SURE she can file for “surviving spousal benefits” from Social Security. There’s a tight window of time that this can be done — like about 30 days. She’ll need to have a Certificate of Death for her husband. If she doesn’t file quickly, she’ll lose the chance to “piggy-back” a good portion of his Social Security monthly payment onto her own.
Harry’s widow will need all the emotional support she can get from the family. Especially during the first 6 months after his passing. Yours Truly herself had to deal with “family problems” that began not even 4 months after her own husband passed.

In another post to social media GAG stated that being invited to Tucker Carlson Tonight was a “major win for our community”. Maybe GAG is serious about protecting children, who knows? They are serious about protecting their community from backlash and stigma. That is clear.
MMB is pleased to see some in the homosexual community standing against the absurdity of drag shows for kids and teachers uploading their gender identities and sexual identities to children in public schools. The sexualizing of kids has been going on for decades. Pro-family organizations have been fighting the sexualization of minors for many decades. The CDC’s recent study of teenage girls paints a dire picture. They are much more likely than boys to report feelings of depression and suicidal thoughts. In fact, almost 60 percent report feeling so sad and hopeless almost every day for at least two weeks in a row (during the previous year) that they stopped their regular activities.
This is not normal. Psychologist Richard Weissbourd notes what many others have observed: girls are more likely to be obsessed with social media, and especially with stories about attractiveness and body image. This accounts for their higher rates of alcohol and drug use than boys.
Jean Twenge is also a psychology professor who has a good grip on this issue. She says that “we’ve known from academic research for many years that the longer a teen girl spends on social media, the more likely she is to be depressed and to engage in behaviors like self-harm [such as] cutting.” In fact, the suicide rate has doubled for ten-to-fourteen-year-olds since 2007.

If you watched the vid I posted yesterday of Col Macgregor on Tucker’s show, you saw another ‘informed person’ on fire…

It would seem to me that the sanctions cannot be more than a nuisance (maybe a big one, but still a nuisance) since the Russians should be able to get what they need from China. China supplies all of the West so why can’t they supply Russia? The currency side of the equation ( the American dollar) is a problem but it looks like the BRICS are working to change that. Russia’s biggest obstacle is its relatively small population (somewhere less than 150 millions, half the US). The upside is that they have fewer mouths to feed and bodies to care for and clothe. Russia already has access to vast mineral deposits and a healthy manufacturing base. It will be hard for NATO to bring them to heel. NATO seems to have forgotten the history or Russian resistance. Nuclear weapons makes NATO competitive but the Russians can give tit for tat in that area. In the end TS Eliot may have gotten it wrong, the world ends with a bang not a whimper. Everybody dead, stalemate (the Neocons definition of victory).
Will cooler heads (sane) prevail? This scenario is possible but the analysis leaves out God’s intention. Scripture would suggest that the army of God may become more proactive, but not before things become all but hopeless. As always the future is misty.
It’s my understanding that Russia has everything they need within … the sanctions aim to impact their exports … but there are work arounds to that, with regard to oil and gas … The sanctions have proved to boost their economy, while at the same time impacted European economy negatively. Pop btw is 190 mil.
All my sources peg the pop at 147M. I think they may need support in medicines (China and India).

EAST PALESTINE, Ohio — Shipment of contaminated waste from the site of a fiery train derailment earlier this month in eastern Ohio near the Pennsylvania state line will resume Monday to two approved sites in Ohio, according to federal environmental authorities.
The announcement came a day after the Environmental Protection Agency ordered Norfolk Southern to “pause” shipments from the site of the Feb. 3 derailment in East Palestine to allow additional oversight measures about where waste was shipped. Some liquid and solid waste had already been taken to sites in Michigan and Texas.
EPA-certified facilities able to accept some of the waste had been identified, which meant shipments could restart Monday, Region 5 administrator Debra Shore, of the Environmental Protection Agency, said Sunday.
Some of the liquid waste will be sent to Waste Management’s Vickery Deepwell Hazardous Waste for disposal in an underground injection well, Shore said. Norfolk Southern will also begin shipping solid waste to an incinerator at Heritage Thermal Services in East Liverpool, less than 20 miles south of East Palestine. Additional solid waste disposal locations were being sought, she said.

However, Monday’s resumption is now raising new concerns from environmental activists and Ohio politicians alike. River Valley Organizing, an East Liverpool-based nonprofit that “has spent years advocating for stricter regulations at Heritage Thermal,” blasted the decision to burn the toxic waste in the city.
“After poisoning one town in the region, Northfolk [sic] Southern and the EPA are now about to do the same to another community just down the road,” River Valley Organizing Executive Director Amanda Kiger said in a statement. “This is completely unsafe and unacceptable, and will only widen this crisis. The EPA and Norfolk Southern must stop further contaminating our community.”
In addition, state Rep. Gary Click (R-Vickery) wrote he was “very disappointed not to have received advanced notice” of the transport of wastewater to his community. He also expressed worry about the Lake Erie water basin, which WM’s Vickery disposal facility sits within.
“My task is to ensure that we do not simply relocate a problem from one side of Ohio to another, but that we actually resolve the problem,” Click remarked. “The citizens of Sandusky County deserve to have forthright and immediate answers to their questions and concerns.”
