Something the Left has been doing is making it common practice, and therefore acceptable, to judge others’ hearts, minds, and motives. This is not okay. Nothing will ever satisfy the insatiable beast, so, IMO, best not to even try to avoid any penalty. Better to make it so whatever the ‘penalty’ is, it doesn’t affect you in the first place, and prove it by engaging in a brand new ‘offense’ to make the point.

I’m so anti-blackface that I stopped tanning when I was 16 years old, because I found it ridiculous and hypocritical that some of the most racist white girls I knew spent days at a time slathering on oil and baking in the sun, attempting to darken their skin to approximate the hue of those they felt they were superior to.
Turned out to be a great idea, because most of those girls had a face like a worn saddlebag by the time they were thirty!

At age 36 I got carded by a woman. She looked at my drivers licence and her jaw dropped. “You’re older than I am!” She looked a good ten years older than I and was probably in her 20s.
Even now people can not believe I am in my seventies.
Sun damage is terrible for the skin, truly.
However, I was able to stop using sunscreen altogether when I starting eating a cup of dark berries (blackberries, blueberries and raspberries) daily. I read a study that said they prevented sun damage, so I tried it. I literally went from turning red after 15 minutes in the sun, to not even darkening after working for hours in the sun without a hat. No kidding.
In S Africa I was told that vitamin C helps against sun burn and skin cancer. Women did not put sunscreen on their face.
Vitamin E applied topically is good for healing the skin.
I had a small bottle of Vitamin E oil I used on the kids’ skin when they were younger, it worked!
Helps prevent scaring from real burns too.

I had a pony literally cut to the bone with a wire cut from ankle to knee on his hind leg.
The vet was not sure we could save him but we made a go for it.
We applied antibiotic every other day for a couple of months. Thank goodness the trank worked very well and he did not kick my head off.
Anyway we got to the point where the proud flesh was starting to take over. Instead of using the VERY EXPENSIVE ointment the vet recommended I went with Aloe recommended by my Indian friend. We cut a leaf so we had a rectangle of gel the size of the wound and wrapped it as we had the antibiotic. (It was slippery as all get out and by this time we were doing bandages changes without any trank)
The aloe worked a treat and all his hair grew back brown instead of white.
Often these type of wounds end up with a very ugly scar from the proud flesh.

I’m late seeing Wolf’s post requesting ground reports on ’23 viruses. I’m responding here, hoping others (Gail, Aubergine, etc.) might answer my question.
Neither my husband nor I have had any kind of virus or flu in at least a decade. Since the Covid scare began, we have used quercetin, coq10, zinc, 5,000IU Vit D and Vit C plus multivit on a daily basis. My question, since I’ve read that several of you start that regimen only once you notice symptoms, are we risking anything harmful to bodies (other than $$) using it every day if it seems to have kept us 100% symptom-free??
We are around our working adult children and teen grandkids often, and they catch every bug that exists … repeatedly!! Some are vaxed; some not. But Hub and I have so far remained impervious to their bugs even though we hug, kiss, and share finger foods.
One other thing we use each time we will be in public extended time or with family … we both use Nozin Nasal Sanitizer before leaving the house. You dab a drop or two on a Q-tip and rub it around the inner rim of each nostril a few times. Active ingredient is alcohol 62% but it also has a very nice smelling orange oil that masks the alcohol and slightly lubricates the narrow inner rim of nostril. It is available at Amazon.
I don’t know if it actually is a germ killer at entrance to nose or simply a placebo effect and mental reminder to us not to touch our noses. BUT WE HAVE NOT CAUGHT A SINGLE BUG so far. 🤓
Quercetin is a substance found in capers, red onions, and other foods. I doubt you can OD on it.
Vitamin C is water-soluble, so you really have to work hard to OD on it because excess amounts are flushed through the kidneys. It is an acid, so if you find that metals fizz when they come into contact with your urine, you might investigate further.
Excess zinc will leach copper from your body. I’m somewhat worried about that one myself. How much are you taking?
Standard multivitamins are unlikely to be harmful, because it is not in their business interests to risk it. They may very well be ineffective, but that’s not nearly as risky.
Vitamin D can be toxic, but generally not in normal circumstances. You probably only need about 2-3000 IU, but 5000 IU isn’t outrageous. It is the dose I take, BTW.
And, for the big question — how much CoQ10 are we talking about, here?

Zinc I need to look up, but I know I recently calculated dosage from various pills to make sure I was within recommended range.
if I take too much Vit C, my mouth breaks out so I control that amount to known tolerance.
And CoQ10 is a 200mg capsule once a day. If I remember correctly, I added that because it supports heart function … not that I have problems, just hoping to stave them off!

To optimally absorb vitamin D from sunshine, you need to be wearing as little as possible in full sun. If you forward pictures, it would help with further evaluation. 😉
As I mentioned, I’m a bit worried about my own zinc level and I’m currently doing a week off. During the height of The Great Plague, I’d been taking 50-60 mg per day and could galvanize sheet metal by touch. As a side note, if you actually start to catch something, you might throw some selenium into the mix. Quercetin will let zinc into the cells; zinc will mess up the virus wherever it encounters it; selenium will throw a monkey-wrench into viral replication.
I first discoved CoQ10 when I was prescribed statins as a way of controlling statin side effects. After some years of playing around with statins, I finally just said NO — they make your cholesterol numbers look better but All-Cause Mortality is not improved. Since I stopped the statins, I’ve continued with CoQ10 from sheer inertia, figuring that any assists to aerobic energy production and mitochondria seem like good ideas.
That reminds me of a funny story concerning having as little clothe on as possible sunning. A Christian mystic and author I know lives in an isolated place surrounded by trees on top of a hill. One day she decided to sunbathe without clothe when she hears a truck coming up her dive way it was the UPS truck. She scrambled wrapping up in a big towel. 😂

Yours Truly takes 30mg of Zinc per day; 200mg of CoQ-10 per day; 4,000mg vitamin C per day; 2,500IU of vitamin D per day; 250mg Quercetin per day. All of these are total amounts from various vitamin and supplement sources.
I think it’s important to keep track of the amounts of certain vitamins / supplements taken per day, as the amounts found in more than one source can add up. For example, taking a Quercetin supplement that also has vitamin D while also taking Viactiv (a calcium supplement that also has vitamin D and vitamin K); taking supplements like “Airborne”, which has vitamin C and Zinc in it; and things like these, can cause amounts to go over and beyond what is optimal.

I personally up my daily dosage to 10,000 i.u. daily during winter. I take 5000 i.u. daily in summer.

FWIW I have been taking ‘Ultra CoQ10’ for a couple of decades for hot flashes. If I quit, they come back pretty fast and then it takes about a month to build up enough CoQ10 to keep the problem under check. A black truck without A/C in 100F NC is a really good motivator for keeping my CoQ10 levels up. 🤓

With Zinc, be aware of the amount you are getting from your food/ red meat. On the other hand older people do not absorb nutrients as well. Some where I read we should be eating a lot more red meat as we get older.
I know that my husband’s balance problems have gotten a lot better since we switched to a lot more hamburger. I had been cooking roasts but he does not like to deal with chewing it so was not eating more than a few bites unless I shaved and chopped it for him. Hamburger is a LOT easier and cheaper!
I am not too worried about low copper levels since my tea pot tells me we have plenty of copper in our water. (It is not toxic since my sheep live long lives and they are a very copper sensitive species.)

I agree with the caution about zinc, but I also think some people don’t absorb it as well, especially as we age. And I further think, just my humble opinion, that our bodies process minerals from food differently (better) than supplements. I eat a lot of red meat, and I also take 25mg of zinc daily. Blood tests are important, so we can gauge how our individual bodies are doing with our diet and supplementation.

I take a B complex and a B12 under the tongue for allergy attacks.

I know of at least two cases. A woman drinking too much distilled water in Florida to ‘flush out her body’ And a Japanese tourist family out west who were worried about dehydration.
So if we are going to take control we must be SMART about it and KNOW what we are doing.
For example I ingest WAY TOO MUCH potassium according to the charts BUT with excessively high aldosterone levels causing me to constantly flush potassium from my system AND retain sodium, I have to adjust my intake accordingly.
If I LOOK at a slice of pizza or bacon my blood pressure skyrockets. If I do not take a lot of potassium (as KCl salt called NoSalt) I end up with severe muscle cramps and a migraine.
My options are Diet + vitamin + Fenben and hope I can reduce the possible tumor. (Best case in my opinion)

Yours Truly calculated the optimal daily amount of fluids for herself by taking current body weight and dividing it by 2.2. So, for a 100-pound person for example, that works out to about 46 ounces of liquids a day from all sources, with some extra on hot, humid days or after exercise / working in the yard.
