Kennedy’s spastic dysphonia can be treated by an opera teacher. Learning the proper techniques can significantly bypass and “restructure” the defect in the vocal cords. It takes work, but the vocal training corrects the problem.
However, I do not believe this remedy is used by doctors in the treatment of dysphonia.
That reminds me of how after my son had eye surgery the surgeon reluctantly sent him to get a vision therapy evaluation, something his PCP, an autism specialist, had recommended for some of my son’s visual processing issues. Well he got the eval & he could definitely have benefitted from such vision therapy per that testing, to train his eyes to more systematically access info for example, but since the Doc “didn’t believe in it” it was never recommended & w/out that doc rec insurance wouldn’t cover it…sigh…

I’m trying to figure out how to contact the impenetrable fortress of Twitter.
I found my way to a support page, but then they force you to narrow down the ‘subject’ of your reason for contact from available choices.
If I choose “Locked and Suspended Account issues”, or “Problems with Account Access” it says that since the account I’m currently using is working fine, I need to log out, and log in to the account that is having the problem.
Not sure how that’s possible if the problem is that one cannot log in.
I tried each of the other categories of ‘support’, and the whole thing is designed to funnel you into some track that is not applicable to a basic customer service request to help a friend who is locked out.
Next I tried the ‘Feedback on Twitter’ category, but that just takes you to an Elon Musk tweet asking for suggestions for improvements, and he will look at the suggestions with the most ‘likes’ to save time.
So it appears ‘contact us’ is a joke at Twitter. It’s like a phone tree, but there is no way to bypass the automated choices, you can’t press ‘0’ to get through to a human, you’re just stuck with the choices they provide.
So for anyone who has been through this before, what’s the next move?

I know how infuriating that is, had the same trouble with ebay.
I tried to think of simple search terms (just 3 or 4 words) that would describe or have some connection to the problem.
Took around half a dozen tries with different combinations, and I found some kind of a blog wherein one of the replies contained an unpublished email address. Used it and got me able to log in again within 24 hours.
If you have to contact eBay again, there is a way to get them to call you, and usually they do so within a few minutes.

I gotta admit I am a “thank you” responder when in the execution of business dealings. I add a “*and* before the “thank you!”.
So someone buys something from me, They say “thank you”. I say ” ..and thank you!”.
It does seem clunky to say but I feel the need to thank someone for their patronage and it feels overly long to say “you’re welcome, and thank you!”
One of the things I loved about German is that the normal “Thank you” / “Please” (“Danke” / “Bitte”) escalates to “Thank you beautifully” / “Please much” (“Danke schoen” / “Bitte sehr”).
I had a conversation last fall with a neighbor and his girlfriend in which he thanked me for watching over his place. It is a seasonal home and he had been absent for long stretches due to illness.
I responded to his thank you by saying, “You’re very welcome. I’ll send you a bill later.”
Talk about a shocked look on both of them! I held off for a few seconds before adding that it was a joke. Their laughter was on the nervous side.
Around 2003, I was living just north of Austin and doing a contract tech writer job for an web development company. Some of the engineers and I went to lunch. The same engineer who had previously bragged to me about failing to pay taxes on foreign income went on a rant about Dick Cheney. I thought he was way over the top. When he paused, I said: “Dick is my uncle.” The whole table got very quiet and I let it sit for a bit before admitting I was joking. Back then, leftists still had a modicum of self-restraint when called on something. Nowadays, they would probably all start stabbing me with the silverware or throwing their shoes at me.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot. My chief concern has been mentioned in a few places; how does gold/silver actually work in real-world application, i.e. buying groceries or whatever?
I personally think it is better to have trade items. Grow food. Learn a valuable skill.
Skills that could be valuable, that aren’t thought of much anymore:
1) Ammo re-loading
2) Knife and scissor sharpening
3) Small appliance repair and refurbishment
4) Small engine repair
5) Sewing machine repair
6) Shoe repair
Both of these are really necessary things in many rural communities, but are forgotten about in our times of plenty. We just replace things. But what happens when we can’t? All of the things I listed above I have watched virtually disappear from availability over the last twenty years or so. There used to be businesses doing all of these things here where I live. They are all gone now. But when replacement of items is too costly or impossible, all will be in great demand.

As a hedge it’s likely a smart move. I’ve always stayed away though. Hates the idea of buying in at the top.
Stocks and bonds through a mutual fund seem right as the though the value can decrease, even drastically, they can recover and as long as their are going to be publicly owned companies then they’ll exist. If there are not publicly owned companies we are all lost. Markets have existed since man first started trading. CD’s and money markets are at risk if this digital dollar thing takes effect. A money market share is 1.00. If it goes to 99 cents you just lost 1% of your value and all panic will ensue. I’m not that smart about this stuff, but I’d think that would be the signal to get into mutual funds and hedge with precious metals, but didn’t they confiscate gold at some point in the past? All very troublesome. The other thing to do is think about what hard assets you need, like new computer, or any hard item and buy those things now as Aubergine says below. Not a bit coin guy so can’t talk about it, but imagine they can make trading in that illegal.

I do not recall ever reading an historical news analysis of that order. I was never particularly interested in FDR and his presidency so there may be such analysis out there. Very little gold was confiscated. Most was voluntarily turned in, exchanged for United States notes.
We were a naive people back then.
That suggest that the compliant nature of the American people has not changed over the last 90 years. In the 1930s we yielded to the President and in 2020s we yielded to county health officials. That is not a particularly healthy trend for a republic.

Safe bet that inflation has just begun for as long as PDT is not in office. The rest of the world is over us. Petro based dollar as a medium of exchange is dead except in countries that align with us, which is becoming a smaller group everyday.
PDT brought enough manufacturing back to go with the USMCA to keep the dollar overall from crashing totally. The globalists will have no choice but to retreat back to safe harbor here.
I diversify in difficult, inflationary times. Small pockets of investments. For the next two-three years even if PDT wins in 2024, you diversify. Hard assets like the gold, silver, etc, are fine – just not too much. Some buy mutuals. I don’t, I take possession and buy coins that also have upside with collectible (numismatic) value. I generally use a reputable local dealer. Money Metals Exchange if one the best national dealers as well. You gain if it goes up and it will not go down as fast. You will have something tangible that will generate interest if the worst case happens.
Oil and energy stocks should be good. Cuts in production by SA and others with Brandon being an azzhat on domestic production should be good for them. Mexico will be significantly reducing their use of American refineries for their own oil in a couple of years since they are building their own. That frees up domestic refining capacity.
Use mutual funds for any type of stocks and bonds investing. They knows the risks better than we do .
We left the world hanging with low interest rate Treasuries that are now going up into more appropriate levels. Those rates had to go up to attract investors to cover deficit spending. So new issues at current rates should be a good bet, especially if you are willing to hold them for awhile.
When/if PDT goes back in, the rebound will be even more spectacular than his first term because BRICS will open the door to invest and deal with us again. He and his people know what to do, starting with taking the cap off domestic energy production again. Pressure on interest rates will decline. Existing treasury issues you buy now will be worth more as the rates decline.

I don’t think so… anything could happen, but most of the more serious people I read (or watch on youtube) expect a steady decline in the value of the dollar that will continue for years.
I have seen it explained that most countries are de facto pegged to the dollar in a sense, so even if chyna does business with other countries in the chyneeze yuan (for example), chyna holds a ton of U.S. treasuries which helps to back their yuan, if I understand correctly. They are trying to unload those U.S. Treasuries, but the problem is they can’t just dump them on the market without taking huge losses, and the other problem is who will buy them, if it is known that all of the Brandon regime’s adversaries want to dump theirs?
It’s not likely to be a simple or quick thing to disentangle the world reserve currency from all the financial instruments which are interrelated with it.
That is the controlled demolition over a longer period of time perspective.
Of course, all the click-bait people have cranked fear up to ’11’, that the collapse could happen any hour now, and since anything is possible, they could be right.
Keep in mind that the real rate of inflation is calculated by some to be around 14% per year, so if you’re not getting at least 14% ROI, you are losing purchasing power. And 14% is not easy to obtain, without increasing risk. This is the box that everyone has been put into, thanks to the FED’s extended near zero interest rate policy.
This is what led Michael Saylor (founder of Microstrategy) to start buying Bitcoin. It is a ‘hard’ asset which cannot be inflated past the originally designated 21 million Bitcoins. As of his most recent purchase a couple days ago, he (and his company) now has 140,000 Bitcoins.

That is the 64,000 ruble question.
As a general rule, many analysts recommend a 5% to 10% allocation to physical gold and/or silver, as insurance. The basic idea is that if everything else crashes (real estate, stocks, bonds, cash), the value of precious metals should increase by enough to offset the loss in all the others. Some analysts and investors have substantially more than 10% allocated to precious metals. I have seen a few who claim to be 95% allocated to precious metals.
If the time horizon is long, then dollar cost averaging into precious metals (PMs) might be a good way to do it. Many analysts believe silver has more upward potential, but silver is also more volatile = more risk if the time horizon is short. Usually a mix of gold and silver is recommended, and the percentage of each (gold and silver) changes with the age of the individual, so the older one is, the higher the percentage of gold would normally be recommended.
I read/watch analysts who are sure the ‘end game’ is here and everything will collapse in the next month or two, and others who are confident that long term, precious metals are going up substantially, but short term, they will drop along with everything else during the anticipated market correction, due to recession and FED pivot, before precious metals (and mining stocks) recover and then outperform the general market.
So the analysis is all over the place, with lots of variables, from speculation on whether the FED hikes again at the next meeting, to when the next Russian offensive is launched in Ukraine, to the banking crisis, to the BRICS nations creating their own counter to the U.S. dollar and everything else the Brandon administration has caused to come to pass.
Many recommend a 1% to 5% allocation to Bitcoin for the same reason as gold/silver (i.e., “the only wrong amount of Bitcoin to own is none”)
Like just about anything, Bitcoin could go to zero, but that seems unlikely. The volatility in BTC will decrease greatly once it is more fully adopted. It is very early in the adoption curve right now, so large sales or purchases can swing the market.
If I remember correctly, the market cap of available / investible gold bullion is somewhere around $12 trillion. The market cap of Bitcoin is only around $5.5 billion. When the market cap of Bitcoin is in the trillions, it will take a lot more to move the market one way or the other, so volatility should decrease.

That’s where the fun begins.
There are multiple options, with pluses and minuses to every option, so ideally, it would be good to identify the minuses and mitigate them by diversification among several (or all) of the available options.
The biggest problem is counter-party risk, and most of the other problems stem from that. If your precious metals are not in your direct possession, then they are in the possession of someone else (a counter-party), and that creates risk. Mining stocks depend on the mining company staying profitable (or staying in business), and not having their mines seized or nationalized.
Keeping PMs in your own possession eliminates counter-party risk, but creates a different risk, where you have to personally protect it. Unless you never leave your home, PMs in your possession are going to be unguarded whenever you are out. Of course there are many home safes on the market, but a good one is not cheap, and not easy to get into your house without the whole neighborhood noticing, and anything approaching a commercial quality vault would be crazy expensive.
If you buy physical bullion, e.g., silver or gold American Eagles or Canadian Maple Leafs, etc., or bars, or ’rounds’ (look like coins but are made by a private mint), or ‘junk silver’ which is U.S. dimes, quarters and half-dollars or silver dollars from 1964 or earlier, which have real silver content, you have to be able to store them securely, preferably without anyone knowing. Many people are not comfortable having any meaningful amount of precious metals in their home, and someone who lives in apartment (or rents a home) has the added issue that their landlord has a key to the premises.
You could use a bank safe deposit box, but they are not insured against loss, and have value limits that can be stored in them, are only accessible during business hours, what happens to items in safe deposit boxes if the bank goes under, etc.
You could store physical metals in a commercial vault, but then you have counter-party risk and limited access (unless you live in a big city that has a commercial vault for private storage of precious metals).
Storing metals in a vault costs money, so while your cash is tied up in precious metals (PMs), not only do you earn no interest, it costs you money to store them.
If they are stored in a vault, there are generally three options:

What are the differences between these three storage options, and why do they matter?
For the decided majority of investors, allocated storage, which means that you will receive the exact same type of bullion you put into storage (e.g. If you put 10 1 oz. Gold Eagles into storage, you’ll get 10 1 oz. Gold Eagles when you decide to take physical receipt, but they will not necessarily be the exact same individual coins you originally purchased) offers the best combination of security and value.
Pooled/unallocated storage comes with unnecessary and avoidable risks. It should be avoided
Segregated storage means that you will receive the exact same bullion you put into storage (literally, the exact same bars, coins, or rounds) when you decide to take physical receipt of them, but it costs significantly more than allocated storage.

The reason this is an issue is because any business involving massive amounts of hard money is subject to corruption, which is as old as time. Every time there is a big move in precious metals prices, some bullion dealers get caught selling PMs they don’t actually have, and others go bankrupt, with any contents of the vault that are on the vault company’s books (the previously mentioned ‘pooled/unallocated’ type of storage) being subject to seizure by creditors, and not returned to the people who purchased and stored the metals.

The same principles apply to ‘offshore’ as domestic storage. Offshore could be preferable, because it removes the possibility of confiscation by one’s own criminal mafia (a.k.a. government).
Of course, then you have to take into consideration the criminal mafia (a.k.a. government) of the country where the offshore vault is located, and whatever treaties they have with our criminal mafia.
You might also consider some allocation to mining stocks. The majors (Barrick, Newmont, Agnico Eagle) are big companies ($40+ billion) with long track records and own mining properties in multiple countries, they offer yield, the potential for leveraged share price increase as PM prices rise, and in the event of a dollar collapse, quality gold mining companies are in a unique position to pay shareholders in precious metals if the currency has collapsed.
There is always the concern that mines could be seized / nationalized, which is why Tier 1 companies or mining properties (mines or companies whose mines are predominantly in mining friendly countries with strong ‘rule of law’ protection) generally command a premium over companies whose mines are in riskier Tier 2 or Tier 3 jurisdictions (e.g., banana republics).
Of course, considering that the United States, Canada and Australia (all Tier 1 countries) went full dictator over the past couple years, there is nowhere that is without risk of nationalization of the mines. Large companies like the three mentioned above have mines in multiple countries, which helps to mitigate the nationalization risk.
It might be a good strategy to try to cover all the bases. Figure out how much you want to allocate to PMs, and then spread it out among the various options, e.g., silver, gold and mining stocks:
1) small amount of PMs at home, just enough to get through a potential short term emergency
2) remainder of PMs in commercial storage vault(s), ideally split among 2 or 3 jurisdictions (for example, one’s home country, Cayman Islands,
Europe, Asia… Canada was a good option for Americans, until Trudeau went full-Hitler, and the New Zealand and Australian governments went full Hitler too)3) an allocation to two or three of the blue chip mining companies and/or blue chip mining royalty companies like Franco-Nevada (ticker: FNV), Royal Gold (ticker: RGLD) or Wheaton Precious Metals (ticker: WPM). The big royalty companies are well diversified with income streams from multiple mines in multiple jurisdictions, and are usually considered a little more conservative investment than mining companies themselves.
4) at least a 1% allocation to Bitcoin, or stock in a company like Microstrategy (ticker: MSTR) as a proxy for Bitcoin. Bitcoin could go to zero, in which case a 1% to 5% loss is not disastrous. It could also go to $1 million per Bitcoin (or more), quickly in a financial collapse scenario, so having exposure to at least a little adds diversification into a different asset class, and provides exposure to asymmetric upside potential
Physical precious metals, due to their physical nature, have unique security risks.
Mining stocks have their own set of risks (e.g., the mining company could be seized / nationalized by the country in which it is headquartered, or individual mines could be seized in countries where the company owns mines, management can make mistakes, inflation causes expenses to rise and profits to fall, etc.).
Everything about PMs and Bitcoin ultimately comes down to trying to solve for a familiar set of problems:
A) Historically, governments have always tried to seize what isn’t theirs during times of crisis, because power always corrupts
B) People naturally seek to protect their property from seizure or confiscation by criminal government
C) diversifying risk among the various options (PMs, mining stocks, multiple jurisdictions for PM storage, Bitcoin) means that even if the criminal government manages to seize some, it is unlikely the criminal government will be able to seize it all
D) if things get bad enough that governments are seizing / confiscating any, then whatever they don’t manage to seize should go up in value so much that it more than compensates for whatever was lost due to seizure / confiscation by a criminal, rogue regime.
Please note that I am not an expert, I am not qualified to give financial advice, etc., and I don’t have enough to protect, to make most of the above relevant to my own situation, anyway. If there is a financial collapse, I may be able to last a little while, and then I won’t.
I just find the subject very interesting, both historically and as an intellectual exercise, as well as a natural extension of the context of the war being waged against the People of the world by their respective illegitimate regimes.

Fair. Q’s busy now. Don’t expect him back for at least 20yrs and most of us will be gone by then. Anything in between will be nice, though it could mean trouble if such is so.
I’m not sure what they are trying to say, except that they might be expecting something significant to happen on April 10. I would not hold my breath. A lot of the Q posts are enigmatic and are not to be taken literally. But some people try to analyze and “decipher” every little thing, more often than not coming to mistaken conclusions.
I noticed the #34 in part of what I shared & thought of the 34, iirc, charges in DJT’s NY indictment, but that seems a stretch as to significance. Since I never followed Q I have no opinion about it all. It’s “fun” to watch from afar & I’ve appreciated when people share Q analysis but have never bought into any of it myself…
