Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounces gin
- 3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/2 ounce lavender syrup
- 3 to 5 ounces club soda, to taste

The AB thing is kind of painful for a native STL girl. I’m not a bear drinker, but there’s practically a pipeline under the streets to Busch Stadium and Enterprise Center where the Blues play. IMO, Mulvaney is fascinating to watch in a train wreck sort of way. I pointed it out before, and some people thought I was complimenting him. I’m not. I think he is more hated, and probably recognized as being more dangerous, than the long-nailed WH freak or the one who stole luggage or the ones calling for violence because he is so “nice.” He’s just here to make people laugh and show kids that they’re not alone. (However, the products he’s endorsing are not for kids — beer, bras, tampons — so go figure.) He even looks much more presentable than a lot of men-to-women trans people, and certainly more than drag queens. He’s just a little sweetie. 🤮 That makes him seem less threatening.
To have THAT advertising beer to real men and women, so-called rednecks, hard-working people, etc., is insufferable. The things he said on the video were ludicrous (not knowing which sport March Madness applies to), and his exaggerated “girlishness” is repulsive. No real woman who has a brain in her head acts that way, and both men and women know it. It’s all a farce and a lie, and people don’t take kindly to that. IMO, the only audience that that could appeal to is kids who don’t know any better.
And speaking of kids, Mulvaney portrays a character that is a 6-y-o girl who lives in a hotel. I suspect that is a way of grooming both adults and kids to gradually accept his schtick in the realm of children’s media and products and maybe even books. It would be a cash cow for him and a victory for the trrans movement and all that is behind it.
Allowing children to pick their gender to the approval of “experts” is the desideratum of normalization – that sweet goal to which they are SO CLOSE.

When you are in business and have assets, every idiot in the world wants to know about them and their values — calculated in ways peculiar to every busybody. For income tax, every asset has a Federal, State, and City value — and those values may be subject to regular tax, minimum tax, and alternative minimum tax.
If you buy a property to rent it out, you have to keep track of a separate land value and building value. If you insure it, you’ll need to keep track of an insurable value (they don’t insure land, and they may not agree with the allocation that the property tax people use). If you lease to hundreds of tenants, each tenant may have an insurable value for your stuff and an insurable value for theirs…..
Back when they were first coming out with accounting software for the IBMPC, Fixed Asset software for keeping track of all this stuff was more popular than General Ledger software. And all of this is based on regulations and contracts and insurance policies — not the owner’s desires.

Last Friday or Saturday I smashed my right shin into a wooden corner of a bed support that is attached to the floor. So when I hit my leg on it, it didn’t give, my leg did.
It swelled up like about a half an egg under the skin. I put ice on it for about 3 hours, which didn’t seem to do much except make my leg cold.
By the next day, the swelling was down a little. I could walk on it fine, but definitely hurts to touch.
A little better each day, until Thursday, when the swelling seemed to spread out to a larger portion of my shin, and down to my ankle. Like the shape of the swelling changed from a goose egg to being spread out.
The skin is very tight, as one might expect from being swollen.
I went to sleep last night with my right leg raised on a pillow. When I woke up today, I went to stand up and my right leg was so painful that I couldn’t put any weight on it. After I hobbled around to make the bed, it seemed to get better, and I could walk on it like I had the previous days without too much difficulty.
Now it looks like the bruising, which was originally localized to where I hit the wooden bed frame (about halfway between my knee and ankle) is now spreading down my leg to my ankle, and the swelling, making the skin feel tight from the injury down to my ankle, hasn’t subsided for about 48 hours now.
I took a couple aspirin, hoping that might help with the swelling, but if it helped any, I didn’t notice.
Is there anything I can do to help the situation, without wasting time and money going to a doctor? I’m not in agony or anything, I just don’t like the tightness in my lower leg and the constant feeling that my lower leg and foot have fallen asleep.
I don’t suppose there is anything in IVM that would help… I have plenty of that on hand 😁
This is a situation where it could actually need a cast for six weeks…..or it could be no big deal. A simple X-ray could tell A from B in a matter of minutes.

Your account reminds me of a fall I once had. I tripped on a tree limb and hit my shin, with the resultant swelling and bruising. I had experienced bruising that follows the path of gravity before, but not swelling. Yet that is what happened in this instance: the swelling in my shin moved down to my foot and ankle area over the course of several days, and I was surprised that it took several weeks for the swelling to resolve.
My situation was not as severe as what you describe. I didn’t have so much constriction that it felt as if my leg had fallen asleep.
I found this article. It looks as if you’ve done most of these things except maybe compression, so that might be something to try. And it also recommends icing the area several times during the day.

I was thinking of “greenstick break”, but that is exceedingly rare in adults.
I would also use caution using too much aspirin for too long — but, then again, I would never recommend the use of ANY acetaminophen (Tylenol) for ANY time.
Willow bark is an anti-inflammatory that contains salicin, which is similar to aspirin.
I have a peculiar blood chemistry that only gets the fever-reducing part out of aspirin, without getting noticeable pain relief. For those who get the pain relief part, aspirin is close to being a “miracle drug” — its only drawbacks are stomach irritation and a tendency to enhance bleeding. I’m just wary of it, as I am with most medications.
Acetaminophen, when initially approved as an OTC medication, had the smallest gap between “clinical dose” [what works] and “LD-50” [what kills half of those taking it] of any OTC medication on the market. It is particularly dangerous because it is included in so many other medications — it’s even been marketed to dip binkies in for teething infants. If you double-up on Tylenol while slugging down some cold-and-flu goop, you might be perilously close to life-threatening damage. The stuff is dangerous, has an alarming body-count EVERY YEAR, and probably only made it through the FDA because someone’s ethics were flexible.
I should note the following amongst the sweetness and light at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paracetamol — “Paracetamol poisoning is the foremost cause of acute liver failure in the Western world, and accounts for most drug overdoses in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.”

I’d rather have no FDA at all than one that approves acetaminophen and mRNA vaccines.
I didn’t know it was that dangerous, but I read about (and heard about) issues with acetaminophen maybe 5+ years ago, so I stopped using it.
I never really noticed any benefit from taking acetaminophen or aspirin, come to think of it. I mostly only used aspirin for the occasional headache, or fever. Not sure whether it helps either one.
But IVM worked like gangbusters in my system, same as antibiotics do.
IVM is good for the things it’s supposed to be good for. And the gap between its Clinical Dose and LD-50 is YYYUUUUUGGGEEE!!!!!!

When I was growing up, I kept hearing this “take two aspirin and call me in the morning” or “if you ache, take aspirin” or “aspirin and an icepack” and always thought, “what???” I’d do what they said, but it never made a bit of difference.
It was only when I was about thirty that I discovered ibuprofen (AKA Advil or Motrin). I was amazed — “you mean, you can just take a pill and lessen the pain?!?!?!?” I had previously thought that everyone was just BSing me — but it turns out that all the wonderful things that aspirin was supposed to do were actually possible….with a different drug.
My hubby uses ibu all the time for pain but takes Excedrin migraine for headaches. Josiah cannot take ibu post liver transplant & can Only take acetaminophen for pain. He’s already on low dose aspirin for his heart so I don’t think he’s supposed to take more aspirin but Maybe taking further baby aspirin to not get past the adult dose Could be OK…I guess I’d need to look into it.
I rarely take stuff for pain & try to tough it out as much as possible. My dad usually gets dental work done with No anesthesia, but then he’s a tough guy I guess…

Anesthesia during colonoscopy is a modern thing. Years ago, they didn’t even offer it to me.
With no anesthetic, the doc gets feedback on the pressure from the probe, which he or she might not get otherwise.
Pushing it in is the rough part. The exit, when most of the exam is done, is relatively painless.
On a scale of one to five, the prep is an eight. Rounding the upper corners were a three and a four.

I have regular aspirin, it says “NSAID” on the label. Just took two more. Never had any issue or problem taking aspirin.

It’s poison so don’t use it on broken skin, if you’ve got any growing nearby shred the leaves & soften them in a little boiling water & make a poultice of them.
When we were kids we used to always have some growing in the garden.
There are 59 species in the genus Symphytum that are all (and their hybrids) generally known as “comfrey”, as well as Andersonglossum virginianum, which is known as “southern wild comfrey”. Each has its own profile of producing useful and toxic compounds.
This obviously makes oral dosage extremely problematic.
It’s a deep rooted plant and picks up the stuff that’s generally washed down out of the top soil. To make a good liquid fertilizer one only needs to put a whole lot of the leaves into a barrel of water and let them rot for a few weeks. Needs then to be diluted before watering it onto the garden.
It did break the skin, but only a little, maybe a half inch cut, and the scab is already falling off.
This is a good one! If you can get fresh comfrey, a poultice is great. But having the ointment on hand is a good idea. You can get it at the health food store most likely. Or you can get comfrey oil.
Some people will take comfrey internally, but I NEVER recommend that. It’s too potentially toxic. The risk isn’t worth the benefit.
It sounds like the injury may have gone into Phlebitis – does this sound like your symptoms? I recently had a bout of it for the first time in my life. A couple of days treating it helped.

It seems noticeably better today. Swelling is down almost to normal (almost matching my non-injured leg in appearance). The goose-egg where I hit my shin is down a gradual lump that looks less than 1/4″ raised now.
The ‘lump’ or remaining goose-egg is soft and not painful to touch anymore, and the surrounding area is not painful to touch anymore. The black and blue is all gone, and the redness in the surrounding area is gone, that seemed to be a one-day thing, as the black and blue at the site of the injury seemed to ‘drain away’ downwards, since I had been sitting all evening.
I slept with my leg raised on a pillow again last night, which apparently helped quite a bit.
The skin has returned to normal color, just very slightly swollen now.

To Yours Truly, this may be anything from a bone bruise to phlebitis to cellulitis to potential DVT.
Im late to the party, but his saying that he is having enough swelling to cause numbness and tingling is the red flag there, dt now compromised blood flow. Prob not a dvt but more like severe cellulitis. With a look see and some treatment by a dr now prevents a hospitalization later.
Or an amputation if gangrene sets in.

I went to urgent care last year, when I thought I was having a heart attack, among other symptoms that turned out to be from taking too much zinc and/or Quercetin as part of my anti-covid regimen.
It takes a lot for me to go to a doctor.
The first urgent care was open until 7pm. I got there at a few minutes before 7pm, but the door was locked. The woman at the front desk opened the door, I told her my symptoms, and she said she was sorry, she couldn’t help me, they were closed, but I could try another urgent care across town that was open until 8pm.
I was almost shocked, I did the half-laugh ‘you gotta be kidding me?’ laugh, and said ‘You really won’t help me? You want me to try to find another urgent care, because it’s two minutes before closing time?’
She shook her head ‘yes’. I laughed again, looked at the ground in disbelief, looked back at her face, shook my head like I couldn’t believe what was actually happening. Then I thanked her, and turned and walked away. Just unbelievable, like I was starring in my very own episode of the Twilight Zone 😂
It was that moment when I realized that there are medical professionals who really don’t care at all. We’re just meat to them. I could have died right there on the sidewalk, and she would have closed the door and gone home.
It’s a strange experience to be that close to another human being, to be talking with her, knowing she could help you, knowing it’s her profession even, and then to realize that she’s not going to help you. No compassion, no concern, nothing. It seemed especially strange that a woman would do that, I think that surprised me as much as anything. I’m not in the medical profession, but I can’t imagine abandoning someone who was in medical distress. Even if I couldn’t do anything, I would stay with them until help arrived.
So I got back in the car and set off to find the other urgent care.
I missed it (older car, no GPS), back-tracked, and found it. It was packed. It was winter, apparently their power had been down for a couple hours, so they were way behind.
When it was my turn at the check-in desk, and I explained my symptoms, they said they couldn’t do anything for me. The girl at the desk sounded real concerned though, said she thought I might be having a heart attack, and I should drive myself right away to the hospital emergency room.
I looked at someone else who was in line with me, and gave them the “Did she really just say what I think she said?” look, and the guy looked back at me like he couldn’t believe it either.
I’ve always heard that driving around while having a heart attack is a great idea, that people should do it more often, and my esteem for urgent care facilities was growing by the minute. It was unbelievable. Driving around an unfamiliar part of town, going from urgent care to urgent care, feeling like I was having a heart attack, amazed that an urgent care would turn someone away like that… not once, but TWICE.

As I got in my car, I started laughing at the absurdity of the situation, I think I even started my “I’d like to thank the academy” speech, which I sometimes say when it seems like the universe is just having a little too much fun at my expense… 😂
I just went home then. I stopped taking the zinc and Quercetin, and felt better a couple days later.
I expect X-rays would cost several thousand dollars by the time they were done, so that will be a last resort. Last night it was the worst it had been since the injury, which prompted my original post, but it seems like it was similar to how sometimes you feel the worst just before a fever breaks.
Everything seems notably better today. If it gets worse again, I’ll think about going to urgent care, but hopefully that’s not necessary.

That was a surrealistic nightmarish scenario. But remember the psychopaths were leaving dying “unvax’d” patients outside the hospitals & refusing to provide CPR for some of them, so they were at least treating you as a pseudo-human–spit!
You made a good call to wait it out on the zinc.
I am probably more sensitive than you are to zinc. So when I pushed it up over 20 mg daily, I experienced symptoms that did feel “cardiovascular and nervous systems” – high blood pressure, rapid pulse, flushed face, pounding heart, nervousness, etc.
I suspected that I could treat it with magnesium, and YES – that worked GREAT. Taking an extra dose of magnesium quickly diluted the zinc and I felt normal in no time.
I now make sure I’m not zinc deficient, but that’s it. I take some extra during a verified virus, but otherwise I don’t take more than about 100-150% of the RDA.
The suddenly rapid pulse for no reason, while just sitting at my computer desk, was freaking me out 😂
Enough to go to urgent care, which I’ve never done before that night.
Hard to believe a little zinc can have that noticeable of an effect, but apparently it does.
When I thought it through, the zinc and Quercetin were the only things I had added to my daily regimen, so I tried stopping both to see if that would undo the rapid pulse and related symptoms, and it did 👍
I read all the replies, and based on it all, I would say first, call your sister. And I suspect she will tell you to go to the doctor to make sure you don’t have phlebitis or another serious problem.
If you don’t, use the comfrey ointment.
I will call her this evening when she gets home. Seems better today though, thankfully 👍

Like the ONE Time I set my alarm early enough to shower, Dry my hair (I Never do this), & put makeup on–very rare too. I put the alarm on the other side of the room so I couldn’t just keep hitting snooze. When it went off I leaped out of bed in a stupor & sprained my ankle–scratch All plans for that day LOL But did I learn my lesson about alarms 😉

For what it is worth, I had a tractor roll on my leg (Not the one the horse rolled on. 😋 )
For the first 48 hours I used cold compresses. After that I went to hot and then cold for the next several days until the swelling finally went down. Hot draws the blood into the bruised area and cold then pushes the blood out.
This is what is usually done for horses with a leg injury. (We also use eleastic bandages to reduce swelling and provide support)
Get OFF the leg as much as possible and keep it elevated as much as you can to help the circulation.

My sister the nurse just finished her exam about 20 minutes ago. She checked blood pressure, pulse, heart rate, everything was in normal range.
She thought I may have a stress fracture of the shin, and wanted to know if I could jump. I wasn’t sure I could, but I stood up and tried to jump, and it was no problem at all, so I was jumping and landing on both feet like a kid.
I was landing on the balls of my feet to absorb the shock, because I thought it would hurt like &^%$ if I landed flat footed or on my heel, from jarring the bone. But she asked me to try it anyway, so I did very gingerly, and there was no pain, so I jumped and purposely landed on my heels repeatedly after that, with no pain at all.
So it seems unlikely that I have a broken bone, if I can jump like that without any pain.
I did notice that all the black and blue bruising drained away yesterday. What I hadn’t realized is that all the black and blue drained down to the sides of my foot, below the ankle.
The same thing has happened whenever I’ve had a blunt trauma type injury. Years ago, a friend of mine, who competed in martial arts, a big guy (6’4″, about 260lbs), caught me above the right eye with a spinning back kick, while wearing cowboy boots. Knocked me completely off my feet, landed flat on my back on the concrete. I wasn’t unconscious, but when he tried to help me stand up, I said I think I’m gonna stay right here for a minute or two 😂
My eyelid was purple and swollen shut for a week. My friend (the one who kicked me) wanted to cut it open with a razor blade and let the blood out, he said that’s what they do if it happens during a kick boxing match. I decided it was a bad idea for him to be anywhere near my eyeball with a razor blade as a general principle, much less after we had all been out drinking.
Anyway, I worked for a stock broker at the time, and the office manager was a woman who didn’t seem to like anybody. I wore my sunglasses in the office so my eye wouldn’t gross everybody out.
The office manager confronted me about wearing the sunglasses in the office. I explained why I was wearing them, and she said she didn’t care, nobody was going to wear sunglasses in “her” office. So I said fine, and took off the sunglasses, and looked at her with my one good eye, and my other Quasimodo eye. She gasped and said “Put ’em back on, put ’em back on, that’s horrible!”
I should have said “Do you want to touch it?”, but I didn’t think of it in time 😂🤣😂
A few days later, all the purple drained down to the skin below my eye, like a regular black eye looks, and I was able to open my eye normally after that.
So about my leg, my sister said to keep it elevated as much as possible, and if it gets any worse that I should probably get an X-ray, but otherwise, so long as it doesn’t get worse, she thought it should be okay, but could take around 6 weeks to fully heal 👍

The story is that Coleridge was loadie-dodie-dodied on laudanum (“opium lite”) when he was dreaming up the poem, based on things he had recently read and studied. Scribbling frantically, he had a knock at his door where “a person from Porlock” wanted to talk to him about extending his automobile warranty. After giving the interloper the short brushoff, he returned to his poem — only to find that he couldn’t remember the way it was supposed to go.
I had said that the way I composed things in college was to read everything I could, then sit down at the word-processor and type a “stream of consciousness” of vivid imagery and colorful phrases, after which I would sleep on it. The next day, I would try to arrange these into the form of my paper and then painstakingly build my paper around them.
As a joke, I used an example of a dry-as-dust topic for an economics paper and waking up to find that my “stream of consciousness” was an excerpt from Coleridge’s Kubla Khan. Mind you, I wasn’t loaded on hard drugs (although Tuborg Gold may have been involved); I never wrote anything as wonderful as Kubla Khan; the excerpt, though beautiful, had nothing useful to hang an econ paper on; and, if someone from Porlock had wandered by, I’d probably have tried to get him to write the stupid paper.
After the initial joke, I was trying to gently remind you of the full poem, which I consider very beautiful and evocative. After giving you the opening line, however, it was clear that it was new to you. I hope you can put aside all the jokes and out-of-order quotes and read it through from beginning to end. It has a haunting beauty that has inspired people for many, many years.

You can point to the article with confidence – I bookmarked it – but the “makes oxygen” part is just wrong speculation by somebody with incomplete understanding of the topic, and the writer is a bachelor-level science-ish grad who was not skeptical enough to distrust wherever they read that.
Number one, ivermectin IS natural. It was discovered in nature in Japan.
That said, I have wormwood in my arsenal. I actually grow it. But it has some downsides. Some people don’t react well to it. It contains thujone, which can be toxic:

The main purpose of a CVV is fraud prevention. It was formulated so Banks can ask for an easy but authentic set of numbers apart from the Card Number, for authentication. Hackers are able to get Card Numbers of people through nefarious means, but they are not able to get the CVV numbers that are there on cards.
Yup! Vendors are not supposed to save CVV numbers, IIRC, although I think that maybe they can if people consent. I think having the number saved in any way defeats the whole purpose of “proving card ownership and possession”.
I think there is a lot more to this.
You would need a FAKE CARD taken out in the donor’s name that is then PAID OFF. The payment would be from a bank acct so you should be able to track this.

I suspect that ActBlue is processing payments from zombie fake bank accounts that are simply “in the name” of the donors.
This would explain things like that weird Democrat bank in a tiny town with three people working in a small building, but millions of dollars of daily transactions. They would then be creating fraudulent repeat payments using ActBlue customer data and their own accounts, filled by big deposits needing laundering.

One thing that needs to be done is to make sure the LIES about “BUT THIS ONE won’t change your genes” (mRNA vaccines) are not used as an excuse to get out of such laws.
Thus, the definition needs to specify that it INCLUDES applicability to ANY product with a active NUCLEIC ACID component, including both DNA and RNA, or synthetic equivalents (like Pfizer and Moderna), designed to interact in any way with the biochemistry of the recipient.
Doesn’t HAVE TO alter the genes – just needs to INTERACT WITH GENETIC STORAGE OR EXPRESSION SYSTEMS using a GENETIC CODE or GENETIC COMPONENTS.

Man Dead After Being Attacked by Multiple Dogs While Pet Sitting for Family Member
The 4 dogs apparently all pit bulls. The story says the guy was dog sitting at the home. The dogs did not live at this home. Sounds like the guy was likely grooming the dogs to fight and got his comeuppance.
Do you think it was the owner or the dog sitter who was grooming them?
Either way, I think you’re right that somebody was grooming them to fight.
Guy should not have been alone with the dogs without a carry pistol with multiple rounds for each dog. But yeah – Brooklyn – it would have had to be an “illegal” gun.

The dog sitter seemed to be the one grooming them. The owner is only said to be a family member but not from that house. Likely fictious story. I doubt anyone looked much into it. My guess was this was the dead guys gig. He likely did not have much experience with it. It may of been his first time getting a bunch of pit bulls together training them to turn against each other.

Actually Qubes doesn’t claim to prevent hacking, it claims to mitigate the hack when it occurs. You probably already know this, but for the benefit of others:
Imagine Darwin sneaks out of his cage, manages to unlock my computer, and visits “HotBeardedDragonBabes.xxx” and manages to catch 214 pieces of malware.
That VM has been hacked…to bits. Qubes didn’t prevent that. But closing it destroys THAT VM and thus cauterizes the infection.
