Okay, so this being the day after the Fourth of July, and all of America seems to be in party mode (the unofficial fireworks displays have already started in my neighborhood, and it isn’t even dark yet), there aren’t many links to share, but plenty of other stuff.

Let’s hope that catches on.

I actually know people who would do that.

Good luck with that. Even those of us who grew up wearing uniforms found a way to be individuals.

I’m sayin’, that thing in France is just Ferguson all over again.

And now for the obligatory message from our sponsors:

Here at the Q tree we believe in the concept of CIVIL open free speech and the discussion that fleshes out ideas. When commenting and participating in the OPEN discussion on this thread all comments MUST NOT CONTAIN personal threats, baiting, name calling, or other anti-social words fomenting hate, violence or destruction. Our host Wolfm00n has strict rules about that.

Fellow tree dweller, the late Wheatie, gave us some good reminders on the basics of civility in political discourse:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone

Please, stock up on blanks for celebratory gunfire, be ready to swing from the chandeliers…and no messing with the nuclear weapons.

Please remember to remain locked and loaded and ready for trouble should the insurrectionists try to invade your space.

Those who have things to say that do not fit the generally accepted limits of “civil” discussion, Wolf has provided a venue known as the UTree. You’re welcome to visit over there and say hi to anyone hanging out over there. The “Rescue Thread” is also over there. In the event a rendezvous of the tree is needed, please check it out, as well as the newest rescue venue.

Auntie DePat’s requests:

If you see something has not been posted, do us all a favor, and post it. Please, do not complain that it has not been done yet.

The scroll wheel on your mouse can be your friend. As mature adults, please use it here in the same manner you would in avoiding online porn.

Thank you so much for any and all attention to such details. It is GREATLY appreciated by more than one party here.

One other vital note:

Please, review these rules that our host Wolfm00n outlined toward the beginning of the growth of the tree itself. it won’t take long.

PSALMS 34:7-13

6This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. 7The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. 8O taste and see that the LORD is good! Happy is the man who takes refuge in him! 9O fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him have no want! 10The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. 11Come, O sons, listen to me, I will teach you the fear of the LORD. 12What man is there who desires life, and covets many days, that he may enjoy good?

As always, prayers for the fight against that which seeks to enslave us are welcome.

Please include: President Donald Trump, the Q team, our soldiers in the field, special forces, tactical units, first responders and those working behind the scenes…and any and all people with family members in the hospital, COVID or not.

And…members of the QTree who no longer participate for one reason or another.

It is quite clear, as per Wolf’s message from July, that we are under spiritual attack. Building up a robust arsenal of prayer and discipline is a must in fighting the enemy and his minions.

In that spirit, the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel from Tuesday’s threads, and the Breastplate of St. Patrick, not to mention the Litany of Humility are favorites recommended by exorcists in spiritual warfare.

cthulhu

Thank you, DePat, for scrambling and getting us a full-featured thread for July 5th.

You really needn’t have gone to so much effort. We’d survive. After all, we deal with the benign neglect that is Monday’s thread every week.

TheseTruths

After all, we deal with the benign neglect that is Monday’s thread every week.

Objection! I like the Monday threads. 😅

cthulhu

I do, too.

I just figured a little compliment for DePat and a little razz for Wolf would work well together.

At the time that Maet did the QR code ONT, I was a total Windows Boi and had no way to read one.

(He published an ONT that had a QR code that linked to a page on the blog that was otherwise inaccessible).

Valerie Curren

cute

TheseTruths

Exactly! 😅

Valerie Curren

I just noticed that you posted that meme at 13:13 which makes me think of 1313 Mockingbird Lane which I think was the address of either the Addams Family or the Munsters. Now why can’t I recall important info, like my granddaughters’ birthdays LOL

cthulhu

1313 Mockingbird Lane was the Munsters.

There’s also 1313 S. Harbor Boulevard, Anaheim California.

They’ve renamed the street now, so it’s 1313 Disneyland Drive.

Valerie Curren

That’s actually Scarier, given what Disney appears to be Really about 🙁

kalbokalbs

Huh? WTF? (I know, ya being sarcastic.)

Polar bear makes it a win. Toss POTUS & FLOTUS. Columbia, Warrior (Marica or Wheatie or both). The raccoon.

Great stuff in between.

Hell, Mondays are GREAT by me.

TheseTruths

Toss the raccoon????? 🦝 Never say so. 😅 Mondays are fine the way they are, IMO.

pgroup2

His morning latte lacked whipped cream because they were out of it. Hence, the grumpy rant at reading that which requires an accompanying cuppa joe.

Uh, if that is for slow guy.

Don’t do whipped cream, latte, or any of that crap.

No additives, in my cuppa joe. 🙂

Since you’ve dismissed my efforts, you’re on your own. 😂

It’s all in fun.

On my own? Pretty good at stumbling around. 😂

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

LOL! I assume he meant “toss in”! Or maybe not. Either way is OK. Protected free speech.

Yeah, Monday will remain a bit of a Wheatie memorial. But there’s more.

Monday’s benign neglect is because actual heat is being brought to the enemy somewhere else. Somebody said we had to get involved locally. Was that GMIT? Or Gen. Flynn? Maybe both?

People have to get some skin in the game locally. I’ve found it very beneficial.

TheseTruths

Sounds good. I have said before that I greatly appreciate the work that people put in, but I am also fine with placeholders. And putting in local work…👍🏼

Valerie Curren

got a “bad gateway” on your first link & nothing showing on the 2nd one…could just be this borrowed laptop perhaps…

cthulhu

If you’re using a hotel wi-fi, it may be that they’re firewalling your access.

Valerie Curren

Thanks for the tip. We bum off one of the neighbor’s wi-fi, with their permission, & it doesn’t usually have limitations, especially in the middle of the night when I might be the only person accessing the web w/ that connection..hmmm…

cthulhu

There are at least two possible meanings of “gateway” that might apply. I was thinking the one between the laptop and the cloud — but if you’re on an approved general-purpose wi-fi, it’s probably the other one.

Valerie Curren

OK?

Cuppa Covfefe

Could have something to do with the 50 Terabytes of movies you downloaded the other day 😆

Valerie Curren

Not me 😉

cthulhu

OK, to try and clarify this a bit —

If you connect to a network in the usual manner, your computer does a DHCP request and gets a bunch of information in return, including —

  1. An IP address and subnet mask
  2. A DNS server IP address
  3. An internet gateway.
  4. Domain name
  5. Time servers

Certain hotel wi-fi systems, however, don’t do regular DHCP — instead they dump you into the hotel’s intranet, with no connection to the outside world. Here, they play ads for the hotel, order room service, set wake-up calls, and such. You then login to the hotel’s program — and that gives you a connection to the internet (typically after the hotel’s IT is done rummaging around in your computer).

This connection to the internet may have significant blacklists, firewalls, and other alterations — a Hilton hotel may blacklist Hyatt IP addresses, or known porn sites, or access to certain countries — that ordinary internet connections would not.

These systems tend to be buggy as all-get-out and cause frequent drops. My favorite example of this was at the Rio hotel in Las Vegas. It got so bad that I actually bullshitted my way into contact with their actual IT Department, who told me, “none of that crap has worked right since we hosted Black Hat two years ago.” [I was inclined to believe him based on his tone of voice, if nothing else, and it also convinced me that it was probably beyond my abilities to troubleshoot or fix.]

Valerie Curren

Fascinating. I have an old laptop given to me by a friend & I had it with me at the hotel where I stayed during Josiah’s Liver Transplant 10 years ago. I got on their Wi-Fi using the password & seemed to have no issues. However, once I got back home I could no longer access our home Wi-Fi & we had to run a wire connection to get to the Internet up on that device then. I wonder if what you just outlined was part of why “my” laptop stopped its more typical functioning after that outside Wi-Fi endeavor?

TheseTruths

It’s opening for me. I defer to cthulhu, as always on computer matters. 😊

Valerie Curren

Glad it’s just me then!

Actually what we have here is an authentication error.

It’s saying, “That can’t possibly be Valerie Curren, since she’s looking at today’s stuff not three days behind like she always is” and so it thinks you’re someone else illegally using VC’s account.

😀

Cuppa Covfefe

Trying to remain Curren?

Or did the gateway wonder about alternating Curren?
😀

Nothing like Current events 🙂

Valerie Curren

Very cute 🙂 Our last name is such a pain when doing historical/genealogical research for often things like “currency” or “currents” show up on searches even when I Only ask for “curren”…sigh…

At least this spelling, for family history purposes, is way less common than Curran so there is that, though sometimes historical family used that spelling & several others like Currin, or Kearns, though that last one was by a criminal ancestor of Hubby’s who may have been trying to obscure his identity 😉

Valerie Curren

Well, I am using my mom’s laptop, which I’ve used Many Times to access the Q-Tree when Up North (& signed in as me)…but since it’s a Lenovo which, iirc, is connected to Chyneze spy tech/CCP/C-Mil….well perhaps Wolf’s firewall’s are protecting the Tree from “me” 🙂

Valerie Curren

Keeping tabs on my “typical” Q-Tree behavior, hmmm? I’m (almost) Always behind on reading & don’t want to miss Anything that Anyone has shared so it’s often catch-up reading for me, to be sure. Being out of town w/ inconsistent access makes it Very Hard to keep up, or approach that state. I still have several posts from my Memorial Day travels that I’ve completely skipped, including yours, & now I’m in the same, though even bigger, boat for this excursion.

Hopefully I’ll get around to at least cursorily reading what people have been sharing before the Labor Day festivities through me off my game for a while too!

Hope you had a great holiday break!

Valerie Curren

Weird but now both links work fine for me…AND that was Really Cool! Thanks for sharing!

ALL the more reason to release the information.

Americans have a right to know the truth.

Guessing. In addition to CIA, MIC AND US military in play.

TradeBait2

Most Americans believe the sanitized narrative of everything. They would go into shock if they knew the truth about many people and events in our history. Disillusionment would set in.

I say, “Oh well, give them the full frontal view.” It is the only way to heal. Real patriotism would be reborn and efforts to rebuild who we are would occur. People would sincerely appreciate what our founders did.

Which the clowns and fellow criminals know. Their games would be over. Hence, withholding the truth.

Cuppa Covfefe

The Founding Fathers would have nothing except the unvarnished truth.

Neither should we.

phoenixrising

We get it … all the time … people DON’T WANT TO BELIEVE IT… so, they don’t.

9/11 for example … most here believe the “official narrative”

A few of us know it was an inside job …

Robert Kennedy Jr tells us CIA killed his uncle … I knew that decades ago…

Cuppa Covfefe

Not from the YSM/MCM, however. And that since “Uncle Walter” and Project Mockingbird, which appears to have been a success.

Skepticism and discernment, sadly, are no longer common traits. “Show Me” is now considered an insult. Yet, without skepticism, acceptance and belief of what the propagandamedia spew is not unusual.

Scientism, belief that anyone (e.g. Faust-Xi or Drosten) wearing a white coat and delivering proclamations from on high is speaking the honest truth, has damaged our society immensely. (And one of my favorite SciFi authors, Isaac Asimov, was a prime mover in that faux-religion, sad to say…)…..

Time to change that unquestioning blind acceptance back to healthy skepticism and reasoned analysis. But it must start in the schools, and at home, as early as possible.

UPDATE: The Cocaine Stash at the Biden White House Was Hidden in a “Cubby” Located in a Storage Facility in the West Wing – NOT the Library

Joe Biden’s office is located in the West Wing. Hunter Biden, his crackhead son, is believed to be living at The White House.

Now we have cocaine in the cubby holes.

The substance, which the secret service has determined was “non-hazardous,” tested positive for cocaine on a “preliminary field test.”

“The DC Fire Department was called to evaluate and quickly determined the item to be non-hazardous,” Guglielmi added. “The item was sent for further evaluation and an investigation into the cause and manner of how it entered the White House is pending.”

CBS News reported that a source close to the situation confirmed the substance was found in a “cubby” located in a “storage facility” of the West Wing, which houses the Oval Office. The source said the cubbies are routinely used by White House staff and other guests to store their belongings.

kalbokalbs

WH presstitute should ask, BiteMe, “If the cocaine was Hunters”.

Hope you enjoyed your celebration. We had good food (& lots of it) w/ most of the Currens in attendance plus the parents. One mishap was the local fireworks show, which is almost always over the lake, that ended up being cancelled at the last minute. Apparently something malfunctioned with the platform & some aspects of the fireworks were submerged in the lake. This is a Very Expensive accident for this small community of a few thousand in Northern Michigan. Their typical shows last nearly an hour… 🙁

One of the many life lessons to be learned from SCUBA is to go and watch…..and be willing to say “nope” and reset your expectations. Trying to push forward when things aren’t going your way is a recipe for increasing costs and doubling frustration.

Valerie Curren

No doubt 🙂 My SCUBA days are decades behind me 🙂 I don’t at all live for the fireworks up here, but we do get Very Spoiled by the typical convenience. We can walk one house down to the beach to join the neighbors, or view them perfectly from one upstairs window, or when my brother & his boat are available join many boaters to observe as they are directly overhead on the lake 🙂 One year I watched them from within the lake while swimming, though I was the only one who chose that route. That year a neighbor had a radio tuned to the local station that played a bunch of patriotic songs to accompany the show & it made the experience even more meaningful!

The year they were at a nearby high school in another small town was a huge pain for transit, parking far away on the shoulder of a 2 lane road, walking a great distance w/ all the needed items to keep everyone relatively comfy, & then dealing with the mosquitoes, complaining kids, & occasional falling ash. The lake show is much easier for our gang to deal with!

pgroup2

Added benefit – you can toss the whiners overboard.

Valerie Curren

Some of that could involve Time Travel…but I’m up for it if I get to restore my pre-parenthood figure! LOL

Valerie Curren

Wow, thanks for the link! You sure go above & beyond 🙂 🙂 🙂

I only found out about the cancellation because the show wasn’t starting as planned & I went down to the lake & then some neighbors said the info was out on FarceBorg (where I do not participate). Hadn’t heard any updates on rescheduling though…

One small point — the idea that a robot will work 23hrs/day and never needs a break is silly. There are mechanical components to a robot; they will need maintenance and they will malfunction. Just like a car. That’s called downtime.

Who does the work when the robot is down? The robot repair guy? I bet he/she wouldn’t lower self to stacking boxes or pasting on shipping labels [which if he/she is doing, then the robot isn’t getting fixed].

Your info guy is smart. But he needs to run a small manual labor business for a couple of years. I suggest a car repair garage. I learned tons running my own shop and it was all painful.

No rose glasses available.

scott467

“One small point — the idea that a robot will work 23hrs/day and never needs a break is silly. There are mechanical components to a robot; they will need maintenance and they will malfunction. Just like a car. That’s called downtime.”

_____________

Well sure, but what’s that cost / downtime compared to a human, who is off work 16 hours per day on week days and doesn’t work at all on Saturday or Sunday?

Suppose an employee costs the company $50K per year, and he works 40 hours a week for 50 weeks a year, or 2,000 hours per year.

Or you could buy one Optimus robot, for $25K, who works 23 hours a day, 7 days a week, or 8,395 hours per year.

Half the cost, over 4 times the productivity.

Even if the Optimus robot had 395 hours of maintenance downtime (about 16.5 24-hour days), that’s still 8,000 hours of productivity.

If you are competitor with the business who has the Optimus robot, you need 4 employees x $50K each = $200,000 to achieve the same productivity as the other guy gets for $25K.

And you have to pay that $200K for four employees every year, your competitor only pays it once.

With that kind of exponential productivity advantage, he can afford a little downtime for maintenance.

And then some.

And then some more.

And still be so far ahead, it’s ridiculous.

pgroup2

All true. It’s the negatives that are unknown and waiting to pounce [so to speak] that are the fly in the ointment.

Your comments are fascinating and illuminating but they remind me of an investment prospectus — lots of gee golly wow and nary a rainy day in sight.

Obviously YMMV. 😎 And I appreciate reading them.

“Your comment is fascinating and illuminating but it reminds me of an investment prospectus — lots of gee golly wow and nary a rainy day in sight.”

___________

I know it 👍😂

It took me a long time too. I had to be exposed to the information over and over again, consistently, in small doses, facts, data, charts, real world revenue results, etc., before it clicked.

So I know that practically no one, NO ONE will accept, or believe, or even care 😂

I may as well be speaking Swahili.

It’s no different than trying to talk to family members about vaxx or covid. Until or unless they are ready to hear it, they won’t. They can’t. Might as well be talking to a brick wall.

So this discovery, about people, and their intransigence toward concepts and ideas they haven’t already come around to favor, is an amazing thing.

It’s almost like keeping secrets is becoming obsolete, because even if secrets are known to everybody, most people can’t process the information anyway, not unless they meet at least two preconditions:

1) they are mentally prepared to process the information, i.e., there are no biases or other mental hurdles to overcome, and the hearer already has enough subject matter knowledge to connect the dots

and

2) they WANT to know, for some reason. Either for reasons of curiosity, ideology, health, profit, etc. There probably needs to be a compelling reason to focus on the subject, even if precondition #1 is already met

So I might be able to talk about this every day for 6 months, or even a year (don’t worry, I won’t!), and hardly anyone would care or connect the dots. I heard my crypto analyst talk about Tesla for at least that long, a little bit, practically every day, and it just went in one ear and out the other.

Until one day it didn’t. It went in one ear, and got stuck there long enough for the “Aha!” moment to happen 😂

It’s the same reason why Wall Street analysts can’t wrap their heads around all of Tesla’s other businesses and value them properly. They can’t see it, it doesn’t fit their preconceptions, they don’t have a model for it, and they’re creatures of habit, like everyone else.

That’s okay, the exponential revenue increases, when they come, will do the convincing for those who just look at the numbers and don’t care about all the other stuff.

Then everybody will recognize it, and pretend like they always knew 😂

There’s an expression for this, I’ll have to look it up.

Found it.

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.” – possibly said by Gandhi, apparently it’s unverifiable

There’s another (similar) famous quote about ‘acceptance’, but I can’t find it yet.

Cuppa Covfefe

Daimler-Benz over here are cutting back on robots, as they are not as adaptable as humans… change to a different model, or a different process, and it takes a lot of time, effort, and testing to get the new/modified robot(s) in action.

Seems the old dogs are better at learning new tricks, after all…..

scott467

“Daimler-Benz over here are cutting back on robots, as they are not as adaptable as humans… change to a different model, or a different process, and it takes a lot of time, effort, and testing to get the new/modified robot(s) in action.”

_______________

They’re doing it all wrong. I don’t even have to know what they’re doing, to know they’re doing it wrong.

For the same reason that nearly all of the ICE car makers do EVs wrong.

It’s because they’re not a robot company, they’re a car company. Just as they are ICE car makers, trying to adapt an ICE assembly line to EVs.

You can do it, but it’s an endless series of compromises and inefficiencies, because the ICE car assembly line was never designed or optimized for making EVs, and the difference between an EV and an ICE is a lot more than just switching out the engine.

Tesla’s Gigafactories are designed from the ground up to produce EVs.

The EVs themselves are produced using a new assembly line concept, where there are two or three lines working at once, and then the three sections of the car are united at the end.

So if there is a problem with any one section, it doesn’t stop the assembly line, they just divert that section over to a repair station and the next section takes its place in the assembly line.

They re-think and re-imagine every step of the process of manufacturing, because they have the opportunity to build from the ground up, instead of trying to turn an ICE factory into an EV factory.

So instead of trying to make all of the square pegs fit in round holes (or vice versa), they made the holes and pegs match from the get-go.

The engineering teams are in the same building as the production teams, so when there’s a problem, it doesn’t take a month of bureaucratic escalation from one department to another, and there is no cultural divide between the engineers and the production team. When they have a problem, they solve it together, in the same room, with the input of the people who actually have to implement the engineering decisions.

Apparently no other car company in the world works this way, so they send people to Tesla to learn how to do it.

But even then, they can’t duplicate it, because it’s like a team of five people learning about Ivermectin, then going back to the main hive and trying to convince all the worker bees to stop taking clot-shots… it doesn’t work… the only people who ‘get it’ are the five who went to see it in action… and they can’t overcome the culture and red tape when they go back to their own manufacturing facilities 😂

So when I read that Daimler-Benz is having trouble with their robots, I’m not surprised. Daimler-Benz is a car company, not a robot company.

Tesla is a robot company. Their cars are glorified robots on 4 wheels instead of two legs. Their robots are like cars on two legs instead of four wheels… in the sense that the same core technology and software runs both, and they are getting something like a million miles of road testing every 14 hours for their AI supercomputer to crunch and process. If I remember correctly, Tesla’s nearest competitor takes over three months to get one million miles of road testing.

Road testing is important because they are mapping everything, in 3D, to create a dynamic real world analogue in cyberspace, which the robots ‘see’ as their ‘world’ and operate within a 3 dimensional space, which is constantly updated as Teslas drive through each intersection, past every construction zone, etc.

So as the environment constantly changes in ways big and small, the ‘cyber world’ in which the cars (and robots) operate is constantly being updated with real world data, being collected 24/7, from around 5 million Teslas (and growing) on the road each day, around the world.

Every day the FSD program gets better, and that means every day the Optimus robot gets better, because it all operates on the same computing platform.

The robots don’t need to know about a low overhang on a bridge over a main thoroughfare, or need to worry about a child potentially chasing a ball into the street, but the AI is being trained to predict all possible actions based on real world experience, which is then duplicated to the CPUs of every Tesla car and robot. All of it happening at 36 or 360 (I forget which) ‘frames per second’ to use a human analog, whereas a human cannot distinguish individual images once the speed is above 24 frames per second (the speed of movies).

So the robots (and cars) are processing everything in real time, much faster than humans, so they have time to predict multiple potential unexpected events every second, and determine the correct response before any such ‘event’ happens. If no ‘event’ happens, no problem. If an ‘event’ does happen, the computer already knows the correct action to take, so the response time is shortened.

The same process should apply to robots catching a Frisbee, or a baseball. Predict, based on real world data gathering, where the baseball or Frisbee is going to be, in a 3-dimensional world, by the time it gets near enough to the robot that the robot can catch it. So the robot would move its hand to where the baseball will be, before it ever gets there, and continuously refines the position of its hand, based on the speed and trajectory of the ball, as the ball gets closer. The robot should be able to learn that, from the data being collected and analyzed by the cars, racking up 1 million miles of data, every 14 hours.

In a recent (3 days ago maybe) video interview with one of Tesla’s lead software engineers, he said they’re not even processing images anymore, because it’s an extra and unnecessary step, a computer processing-intensive step that only serves humans. The machine doesn’t need image processing, it can interpret the code directly, red-green-blue, 0s and 1s. Like ‘reading’ the Matrix, without needing video or pictures 😁

Tesla is a car company. Tesla is a robot company. Tesla is an energy company. Tesla is an AI company. From the ground up, each area complimenting and integrating with the other.

What are their competitors? They are CAR companies, with long histories, entrenched corporate cultures, trying to become something they’re not, in order to catch up to someone who is continuously accelerating, while they’re still trying to figure out how to get their shoes on.

In most of the important areas, it appears that Tesla has about a 7-year ‘moat’, or head start.

Tesla is cash rich ($10 billion in cash last time I heard), practically no debt, optimizing for efficiencies as a matter of their corporate culture, which allows them to continuously cut costs, which means they can continuously cut prices while maintaining profit margins.

When the recession hits, Tesla should be able to slash their prices and still make a profit, and eat their competition. Their competitors are hemorrhaging cash now, most are deeply in debt, most are losing money on every EV sold, playing catch-up to someone with a 7-year head start and state of the art manufacturing facilities, with new Gigafactories coming online in under 12 months, from breaking ground to getting cars out the door.

It’s like watching dinosaurs (Tesla’s competitors) try to be space men.

Which reminds me.

Tesla is not a rocket company.

But the owner of Tesla does actually have a rocket company 😂

And none of this matters.

You never heard any of this, or read it.

You will not remember any of it.

These are not the droids you’re looking for.

😁

Sorry, they’re one of the most advanced production lines in the world, and all but introduced robotics to automaking. (And I know people who actually work there, as well as a design/test engineer at Porsche)…

Okay, but why aren’t they leading the world in producing and selling EVs, and why are they cutting back on robots?

What is holding them back?

Something must be. It doesn’t look like Daimler-Benz even broke into the top 10 in worldwide EV sales in 2022:

comment image

https://www.statista.com/statistics/960121/sales-of-all-electric-vehicles-worldwide-by-model/

.

It doesn’t matter to me personally, in the sense that I don’t have a dog in the fight, except in the sense that if I hold Tesla stock then I would want it to go up, and if I don’t hold Tesla stock then I would want it to go down (so I might buy some at a better price).

I wish I had bought some when it was about $100 a share earlier this year. It’s at $282 today. But it hadn’t clicked yet. I knew, I had enough information to connect all the dots, I just wasn’t quite there yet.

It’s like going to a football bar, where everyone is a die-hard fan for one team or another.

I don’t have a ‘home’ team in this scenario.

Whichever team wins by the biggest margin and wins the most games is the team I root for.

I should feel bad I suppose… no loyalty, no attachment, no history, no matter of principle, etc. There is only ‘which team is beating everyone else so badly the refs ought to stop the game?

That’s the team I’m for.

If it was Daimler-Benz, then I would be their biggest (fair weather) fan.

But it’s not Daimler-Benz, it’s Tesla… and it looks like they have all the first round draft picks sown up for at least the next 7 years… 😁

Yeah.

Pity about all those kids mining Lithium and other chemicals to keep the EV lie alive…

And I was speaking of Daimler-Benz in general. ALL vehicles, NOT just EVs.

Sales amounts are not an index of technical superiority or even merit. More an index of effective advertising.

Unbridled optimism… speaking of bridles, sounds like someone has a horse they’re betting on (or buying)…

And, according to Steve Bannon, all of this cutting edge technology is going straight to the CCP.

I’m sure that’s not a problem, though.

“And, according to Steve Bannon, all of this cutting edge technology is going straight to the CCP.

I don’t know how it can’t be, considering they have a Gigagactory in chyna.

But even if they didn’t have a Gigafactory in chyna, they would just steal the technology wherever it is located.

It’s not like they don’t have spies infiltrated into every level of academia, business and government, and the rest they can do remote by hacking.

.

_____________

I’m sure it is, but I don’t know how to stop it, when at least half the U.S. population are card-carrying members of the Multicultural Cult and refuses to think of chyna (or anyone else besides Russia) as a threat anyway.

“Who does the work when the robot is down? The robot repair guy? I bet he/she wouldn’t lower self to stacking boxes or pasting on shipping labels [which if he/she is doing, then the robot isn’t getting fixed].”

______________

I would expect most businesses (those which can benefit from the capabilities of a robot) will have more than one robot.

When one robot is down for maintenance or repair (or just recharging), the other robots would still be working.

If you replace one employee (who costs the company $50K per year for 2,000 hours of work) with two Optimus robots for a one-time cost of $50K, you should get at least 16,000 hours of productivity vs. 2,000 hours of productivity for the same $50K cost.

With such dramatic productivity gains, borrowing to scale up makes sense, even at crazy high interest rates.

What’s 20% interest on a $25K loan to buy an Optimus robot, that gives you 8,000 hours of productivity a year? On an interest-only loan, 20% is $5,000 per year, that’s ONE TENTH the cost of the (former) employee, for 4x the productivity output 😂

For the cost of the (former) human employee, you could afford to get TEN Optimus robots at 20% interest only loan, and get 80,000 hours of productivity vs. 2,000 hours of productivity from the human, for the same $50K.

Same $50K initial outlay, but you get the equivalent productivity output of 40 human employees instead of 1.

It’s exponential.

.

“Your info guy is smart. But he needs to run a small manual labor business for a couple of years. I suggest a car repair garage. I learned tons running my own shop and it was all painful. No rose glasses available.”

______________

I doubt robots will be ready to do car repair anytime soon, but with the pace of technological innovation, who knows.

Robots will only be deployed to businesses which can take advantage of the capabilities the robots can currently provide.

I expect that means tasks that are extremely repetitive within a somewhat narrow set of parameters at first, and then expanding to other roles as the capabilities of the robots improve.

scott467

There is something very strange going on, between how EVs (Tesla, specifically) are covered in MSM, and reality.

It’s like full blown Covid level divergence from reality.

My daily y/t crypto analysis guy isn’t crypto exclusive, he allocates his portfolio in 3rds, i.e., 1/3rd real estate, 1/3rd equities and 1/3rd crypto (about 80% to 85% Bitcoin).

He has owned a Tesla for I think 3 years now, and drives it every day (in California, he’s not a Lefty loon, he’s from England). He provides regular updates on the improvements in FSD (Full Self Driving), which is still in beta testing, which he has with his car.

Yesterday he said he drove his Tesla through congested streets in San Francisco during 4th of July, and FSD handled it flawlessly, he never had to take the wheel. He’s getting over-the-air updates to the programming at least once a week, IIRC.

FSD is a big deal because once it is out of beta and available as an option for every Tesla, it’s a pure revenue generator. If someone wants FSD, you order it, like pay per view. Suppose it costs $10K for FSD. You order it, paying monthly or all at once, and it costs Tesla nothing, they just do a firmware update (over the air) to your car, and you have FSD.

I think they recently went over 5 million cars on the road, worldwide (and are on pace to produce 2 million cars this year). So by the end of this year, there should be around 7 million Teslas on the road. If just 10% of the owners order FSD, that’s 700,000 cars x $10K each = $7 billion dollars in pure profit, in addition to revenue generated from sales of cars and their other businesses (see chart further below).

Tesla just had a big beat on their recent Q2 earnings report:

[chart image isn’t showing up, could be because I copied the charts from my paid Patreon subscription newsletter, so maybe they won’t post outside of a paid subscripton]

Production: Tesla produced 479,700 vehicles in Q2 2023, a new record for the company.
Deliveries: Tesla delivered 466,140 vehicles in Q2 2023, also a new record.
Growth: Deliveries were up 10% quarter-over-quarter and 83% year-over-year.
Fleet: Tesla’s fleet now exceeds 4.5 million vehicles..

Tesla is crushing the other car makers:

[chart image isn’t showing up]

.

In Australia, EV market penetration is 5%, and Tesla is sold out. There is a 3 month wait to get a Tesla.

.

Teslas are the safest cars, by far:

[chart image isn’t showing up]

A driver using FSD is nearly 10 times less likely to experience a crash compared to the average U.S. driver (I won’t be using FSD, or buying a Tesla, but it’s still an impressive stat).

There’s a reason for this, and it’s FSD (full self driving) related, which is AI related.

Tesla is so far ahead of their competition in miles driven (and therefore AI analyzed and processed) that no one else comes close.

Most car companies build their cars to meet safety regulations (because they have to), but stop the moment the car can pass the regulator’s safety test.

Tesla has to meet all of the gov’t safety regulations too, but that’s just the starting point, the bare minimum for Tesla. Because they have real world crash data, and the engineering and computing power to process it, they apply those lessons to the way their cars are made, to increase safety. You may remember a Tesla that went over a cliff in Kalifornya a few months ago, at least a couple hundred foot drop IIRC, and everyone survived (4 people, IIRC).

.

Wall Street only analyzes (and values!) Tesla as a car company, but cars are only one of multiple revenue streams, and Musk expects at least several of those to surpass the income generated by the car division.

[chart image isn’t showing up]

Tesla is vertically integrated, they manufacture nearly everything that goes into their products. There is synergy and efficiencies between and amongst products.

Batteries: They make their own batteries, and IIRC, they also sell batteries to other EV makers.

FSD (full self driving) may be ready for full release to the public by the end of this year.

Megapack is their energy storage business, giant battery stations (the size of a semi-truck hauler, for transportation reasons, no special road permits required for delivery) that store excess energy at electric utilities. Available now and revenue may outpace car sales in a few years, if I remember correctly.

Solar: this is currently a small division / revenue generator, but they do make solar conversion kits for home and business.

Optimus is Tesla’s robot. It’s a real robot that walks around the factory, with hands that move and grasp tools (like power drills) like human hands. It operates on the same system as FSD, so as FSD improves, the Optimus robot improves, because it all works on the same principles and the same software. The competition hasn’t even thought of this stuff yet.

An Optimus robot is expected to require an hour to charge, IIRC. So one Optimus robot can work 23 hours per day, never late, never misses work. Elon expects it to retail for around $20k to $25k. You can replace three employees with one Optimus robot. This is another business that Elon expects to generate far more revenue than cars.

HVAC: this is something to do with heat pumps, currently a small part of Tesla’s business.

DOJO is (I think) Tesla’s super computer.

Robotaxi: once FSD is ready for retail release, robotaxis are ready to roll out, all over the world. Taxi profit margins should increase substantially, without having a driver to take a percentage of the fare. I don’t remember how many millions of taxis there are in the world, but robotaxi will replace nearly all of them eventually, because the profit margins will make it so competitors can’t stay in business without adopting the robotaxi for their own taxi business.

Insurance: insurance is still a fairly small part of the business, but will grow as car sales continue to grow. If I remember correctly, Tesla is able to insure their cars for about half of what 3rd party insurers charge.

Superchargers: IIRC, superchargers are able to do an 80% charge in around 15 minutes. Tesla has already perfected this technology and has them strategically located all over the U.S. (and increasing in Europe and other parts of the world).

The reliability / uptime is so good that the competition stopped trying, and Tesla’s competitors are signing contracts with Tesla to use a universal charging adapter, so their cars can charge at Tesla charging stations. So Telsa generates revenue from charging stations no matter which company’s car is being charged.

And since Tesla doesn’t have showrooms (apparently, or dealerships), the charging stations act as real world showrooms all over the country, where people with EVs by other companies will see Teslas up close, and able to check out all the cool stuff Tesla does, that their car doesn’t. It’s a marketing opportunity.

All of this works together, yet Wall Street is only factoring in the car business. And then Wall Street consistently claims Tesla can’t possibly meet expectations for growth, and Tesla keeps beating expectations.

It’s fascinating, purely from a ‘business story’ perspective. They’re doing some amazing things, things that will disrupt the entire world, impacting multiple industries.

But MSM hates Tesla, hates it with a passion, and they’re united, so Tesla gets the Trump treatment narrative 24/7.

I’m not at all sure about Musk, or what he’s up to with regard to Twitter. But it’s hard to deny that he makes big things happen in the real world. I don’t expect to ever buy an electric vehicle, or use FSD, but a lot of people will.

I definitely don’t want to see ICE (internal combustion engines) become obsolete, and I’m not sure why the EV industry has framed the discussion that way, which creates instant opposition with regard to every human being who resents being ‘forced’ into anything, just on principle.

Just saying there is a lot more going on with Tesla than cars, and when it comes to their cars, they are selling extremely well. One of the recent charts (which I can’t find at the moment) showed that Tesla sales have doubled in Europe, IIRC.

There is Tesla, and then there is everybody else, who aren’t Tesla.

Sort of like there’s Bitcoin, and then there’s all the other cryptos, which are not Bitcoin.

I wouldn’t know anything about the information above regarding Tesla, if not for the crypto analysis guy I mentioned at the start, and the fact that he has one, and because Tesla is his largest equity holding. So he researches it daily, and bits and pieces of that research make it into his daily videos.

If I was going by MSM regarding Tesla, my understanding would be pretty much like people who get their news about Ukraine from MSNBC… it’s that bad 😂

One needs to count their blessings 🙂 Gratefulness is learned and a gift.
I sure would take a tent anytime than be sleeping on the street.
I worked for a day ” Open Door” in Atlanta. Homeless people could sleep in the yard. They had shower ministry and people left their old clothe and got new clothe. They also got breakfast. That was one of the most rewording charity work I was privileged to be part with. Only one day but the impact had great affect on me.
A shower ministry should be in every city and towns. Seeing the people change just because they had a shower and clean clothe was astounding. Living on the street one can loose fast once humanity. They were so grateful and I got more out of the experience then the helping I did.

Watch for a group representing the homeless to sue San Diego because there’s no AC / bathrooms / internet / kitchen for each “space”, etc., in 3…2…1…
And, of course, the barbed wire surrounding the “camps” will be labeled as “making a prison yard” for the homeless.

They are rounding people up off the street and kicking them out of parking on streets in rvs too. They made it so that if space is available at any shelter, the police can cite or arrest if they are camping in public areas. Its gotten bad and the gay mayor and lefy council must be getting blowback from big tourism, etc, OR this is coordinating w newsom to clean up major areas for his non campaign for potus.

singingsoul1

This is better than sleeping on a side walk. Hopefully they have shower and bathroom accessibility.
From there maybe people can be debilitated back into society ?
I feel bad for people who wind up in the streets that are not druggies or mental problems but lost a job a house and apartment. Where are the families to be a safety net for them? I would take family in if they had a hard time . If I had friends I would also. My friends all past away .

Except for the Manson girls, which is who I thought of when I read your post.

I just did a little checking, and apparently two of them (Leslie Van Houten and Patricia Krenwinkel) are the longest serving female inmates in California (maybe American) history.

Susan Atkins died in prison.

Lynette ‘Squeaky’ Fromme, who did not participate in the 1969 murders but was convicted of attempting to assassinate President Ford in 1975, served 34 years. She actually escaped from prison in 1987, which I didn’t recall.

She was released in 2009, and apparently lives in New York.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

http://www.theburningplatform.com/2023/07/05/very-urgent-the-fertility-crisis-in-mrna-countries-is-deepening/
by Alex Berenson
Yours Truly: Mr. Berenson is correct in saying that countries that have high amounts of mRNA-based COVID-19 “vaccinated” people are experiencing crises in their fertility and birth rates.
However, Mr. Berenson makes a great mistake when he states that, “their use [of mRNA-based COVID-19 “vaccines”] in pregnancy does not cause miscarriages.” This statement flies in the face of documented videos from OB/GYN’s who describe the increasing numbers of “vaccinated” patients they see who have either miscarried or delivered a stillbirth.
Mr. Berenson also does not mention the fact that one of the three largest areas of accumulation of the spike protein + its mRNA from a COVID-19 “vaccine” in the body IS IN THE OVARIES.
Mr. Berenson also does not mention the fact that the spike protein + its mRNA from a COVID-19 “vaccine” DOES accumulate also in the FETUS that a pregnant woman is carrying.

The items below indicate what Yours Truly mentions above:
One: the “5.3.6 Cumulative Analysis of Post-Authorization Adverse Event Reports” that Pfizer-BioNTech gave to the FDA in April, 2021, only MONTHS after the agency granted the initial EUA for the mRNA-based COVID-19 “vaccine” BNT162b2 to be used in the United States — “Appendix 1: List of Adverse Events of Special Interest.”
This report can be found by searching 5.3.6 Cumulative Analysis at https://phmpt.org/
The following are listed, among the other 1200+ types of adverse events:
Pre-eclampsia
Premature labour
Stillbirth

Two: The graphic presented by Dr. Rochelle Walensky during a presentation of the CDC recommendations that pregnant women and nursing babies should be “vaccinated.”

Three: The summary table obtained by Japanese researchers under FOIA in their country by Pfizer-BioNTech that shows the accumulation amounts and timetable of BNT162b2 in the Wistar lab rats the company used for experimenting with BNT162b2 in 2020.

Yours Truly will posit that there are ** potentially ** increasing numbers of miscarriages and stillbirths occurring in the United States, one of the highest-“vaccinated” populations on the planet — and that the truth about this is being suppressed (as in, for example, an OG/GYN getting a “hint” that they can be “disciplined” for “spreading misinformation about the COVID-19 vaccines” if they tell the truth about the numbers of miscarriages / stillbirths / fertility issues, that they see in their patients.)

That’s in the “vaccinated” patients that are seen by these OB/GYN’s.

Smallville’ Star Allison Mack, Convicted for Role in Sex-Trafficking Cult NXIVM, Released from PrisonOnline records maintained by the Federal Bureau of Prisons said Mack, 40, was released Monday from a federal prison in Dublin, California, near San Francisco. Her release was first reported by the Albany Times-Union.
Mack avoided a longer prison term by cooperating with federal authorities in their case against Raniere, who was ultimately sentenced to 120 years in prison after being convicted on sex-trafficking charges.

Crikey. That prison was a country club. Used to live not far from there…

Then again, there was a shooting range around there, too, so sometimes it was probably noisy…

para59r

Yes, country club is what was said, but your couldn’t tell looking at it from the front. The prison was accessed through Cp Parks. It was my last duty assignment as the Bn’s Ops Sgt, we had about 20 Active duty NCO’s and Officers for the Training Reserve Bn whose mission was to train and certify Reserve Units all along the West Coast. The active component had an additional mission as Military Support to Civilian Agencies (MSCA) in the event of Earth Quakes we’d set up adjacent to FEMA and handle their requests.

They had a helicopter jail break from there once and the shooting range was right next door to Woman’s Prison and often did night fire too. The Prison Guards used it also. Nothing like hearing weapons being discharged to keep inmates on their toes I guess.

What is the Naval base in Monterey used for?

My understanding it is/ was the military language academy. Part of San Francisco. Presidio at Monterey. Only the smart kids with knack for languages get to go.

OK. This makes sense!

Ok. Its still a base i think. I guess they want to keep the peninsula space. Pricey land up there.

Old story (I forget all the details):

Someone asks a SEAL Team if they speak foreign languages, or do they use interpreters…

… SEAL says, “No Ma’am. When they call us, IT AIN’T FOR ‘TALKIN”.

cthulhu

The Spanish colonization scheme for California involved pueblos (towns — e.g. Los Angeles), 21 missions (centers for spreading the faith), and four presidios (forts — San Diego, Monterey, San Francisco, and Santa Barbara). The presidios, notably, were places where ships could be landed. They served to protect missions and pueblos.

Monterey is the only presidio that didn’t have a mission in town (the closest missions were in Carmel or Santa Cruz).

cthulhu

When California became a state, the presidios were snarfed up by the US government for military purposes.

Cuppa Covfefe

Yep. We could hear the range on cool nights from time to time, as well as the bird-choppers up on Altamont, before it got all built out… there was a train line running down the hill that we could see, too. Now it’s all houses, from what I hear, and it takes 15-30 minutes to get from Livenomore to unPleasanton sometimes…

para59r

It’s been near twenty years since I left, but looked at on google maps and yes, I hardly recognize it now. All the WWII structures appear to be gone on the camp and the place is surrounded by homes and industrial bldgs.

When I first arrived there with my wife (korean) we stayed at CP Parks Temporary Lodging. Small little house. We’d stay there until housing became available at Moffet AFB/NASA Ames Institute next to Mountain View because that is where they put us if we don’t want to live on the economy. Turned into quite the daily commute as Moffett/Mountainview was on the other side of Bay. Anyway digresses.

While at the Cp Parks Lodge, wife and I would go and stroll about at night on Cp Parks. Not really much there, but Immigration Natural Service has a facility there that serves the Bay Area as well and often the big INS buses would pull up to their facility with undocumented aliens that would be processed in our out I suspect. The wife had no idea what INS was and when I told her, she was surprised and more surprised when I teased her that if I took her over there and because she’d left the lodge without her ID card at the time, that they’d likely put her on the bus and take her down to Mexico. After that I couldn’t get her to walk closer to their buildings. She was much less amused than I 😆 I think we had married twenty years at that time.

Cuppa Covfefe

I had a commute at around the same time, going the other direction, from Livenomore to Mountain View… wall-to-wall cars… I had a couple of friends who worked on the telescope plane(s) over at Moffett…

Livermore was much nicer when it was still a cow town, and Brentwood, Tracy, etc., were REALLY the sticks…

Nothing like winding up the wife… until she gets revenge 😀

Larry’s latest:

CIA CHIEF BURNS’ DESCENT INTO DELUSION
4 July 2023 by Larry Johnson 47 Comments

Radio Sputnik called me first thing this morning and asked me to comment on the recent speech in Oxfordshire, England by the Director of the CIA, William Burns. I quickly scanned the news item and assumed it was a joke. I did a quick check to verify that this was a hoax or another clever bit of satire by the Babylon Bee. Nope. Burns really is this fatuous. Maybe the real Bill Burns has been abducted by aliens (the outer space kind).

CIA Director William Burns called Russia’s war on Ukraine a “once-in-a-generation opportunity” to recruit spies for the intelligence agency.

“Disaffection with the war will continue to gnaw away at the Russian leadership, beneath the steady diet of state propaganda and practiced repression. That disaffection creates a once-in-a-generation opportunity for us at CIA, at our core a human intelligence service,” Burns said in a lecture Saturday to the Ditchley Foundation in the United Kingdom, according to a transcript of his remarks.

I have posted the full video of Burn’s remarks below. If you held out hope that Burns was the lone adult in the Biden Administration, forget about it. Burns, while well spoken, is a shallow, mendacious twit.

Burns’ claim that the war in Ukraine is a ““once-in-a-generation opportunity” reveals his appalling ignorance on what it takes to recruit a foreigner to commit treason. There was a time during the Cold War when a CIA case officer could pitch a Soviet intelligence or military officer with the image of the United States as a clearly superior alternative to the Soviet Union — the U.S. had a free press, a healthy complex economy, a robust political system and, most importantly of all, freedom (at least that was what the U.S. peddled).

Today the United States stands as the only existing country in the world with a forty year track record of imperial military mis-adventures and the squandering of trillions of dollars. Instead of making the world safer the United States has sown chaos. The United States have more political prisoners languishing in prison than Russia and freedom of expression, especially for Christians, is attacked with increasing ferocity by a corporate media eager to shill for the U.S. Government. The U.S. intelligence and military organizations are a woke, hot mess. U.S. military leaders are fixated on promoting transgender degeneracy, routinely failing to meet recruitment goals and destroying the foundation of “uniformity” that is an essential trait of successful armies. I defy you to show me a mentally stable Russian intelligence or military officer eager to join this U.S.

I said this many years ago on the original treehouse, and it still holds true. There is a fundamental problem being in a profession where lying and deception thereby is the basis of your work.

For a true Christian or someone for whom truth is their highest unifying principle (think of Charles Hobbs’s time management courses), such a career is impossible. One cannot serve two masters…

And should one attempt or rationalize serving two masters, what’s to keep them from serving three, four, or more masters… let the bidding begin….. 🕵 🤖 👹

He handled it brilliantly. Ahead of his time. Like there was no ineptitude in Vietnam, Iraq, Libya, Y2k. Plandemic, the laundry list is endless. Mr. Carlin did say

”Its called the American dream because you have to be asleep to believe it”

Sadly most everyone is still in bed like that overgrown teenager. If they do wake up then the first reaction is go back to bed or just get mad realizing that Santa Claus is not real. Alas there are many distractions that enables the teenagers to pull the covers over and hit the snooze button. Just saying.”
————————————————————–

“It must be admitted that the West is tireless in creating BS. This is how the Nuland-Kagan family war institute justified the debacle of the Ukrainian counter-offensive in its latest report.

Ukraine’s counter-offensive strategy is based on reducing Russian forces and resources, rather than retaking huge amounts of territory. Kiev’s strategy is to preserve Ukrainian manpower at the cost of slower territorial gains, while gradually depleting Russian manpower and equipment,” the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) announced.

If there is an audience for this nonsense, Larry is right when he says “I suspect many Americans still believe the KGB is intact and don’t recognize Arnold Schwarzenegger”.

First day of the rest of her life! Beaming Chirlane McCray gives solo interview after announcing split from ex-NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio as she says they still have ‘very deep bond’ and that their kids were ‘a little bit sad’ about marriage ending

Former NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio‘s wife Chirlane McCray appeared relaxed and happy as she spoke for the first time after announcing their separation.

Speaking outside the home the couple will continue to share in Park Slope, Brooklyn, on Wednesday, McCray insisted she retains ‘a very deep bond’ with de Blasio.
The couple, who will continue to share the family home and have no plans to divorce, have two adult children who McCray said were ‘a little sad’ about news of the split.
In an interview published in the New York Times Wednesday, McCray said she was excited about the prospect of dating again.

She previously identified as a lesbian, but described de Blasio as her soulmate. The couple wed in 2004.

Among people (few indeed) who think as I do… there are two schools of thought: 1) when the economy goes bust, the “haves” will be looted by the “have nots” and the … 2nd group) the insane Neocons will do a ‘first strike’ and the RF will react, hitting numerous targets, high on the list USA targets

There is of course a 3rd group … those who are young enough to work. have skills, are leaving ‘The West’ (that includes the USA), or have left.

As for what one should be doing … suggestions have been posted for years on this forum as well as others… get healthy, as possible, PREPARE for shortages of any kind, get out of debt, keep your vehicle repaired, be able to protect yourself and loved ones, etc.

While hope is essential, one should always have a plan ‘b’ …

Disclaimer: I respect the opinion of others, their right to have one, even if in disagreement with my own, however that does not mean I will ever give up my own thinking, my own opinion, to that of others. My head told me to leave in 2011 when hubby passed… but there was family, caregiving … heart won out. I researched then, brushed up on foreign language … but stayed. I don’t regret it … just worry about young family members who are ‘asleep’ … grandson and bride will probably go, but may wait too late.

That’s good, but it’s not the original topic. You said Congress knows we will do nothing, and I asked what we should do — not about personal preparedness, but about Congress. As happens 99% of the time, that question does not get addressed. We have complaints and indictments of us, that we are somehow lax or deficient or lazy or in denial or what have you, but there is no answer about what more we can do or should be doing. So we are left with a constant stream of negativity and hopelessness, if one subscribes to it — which I don’t.

That ship has sailed…

imho the water is now boiling… and the frogs can only cook or jump …

I’m glad PDJT does not agree. He did wonders for this country and continues to work behind the scenes, and will continue to make a difference. He has an army of people who agree with him and who are also working, including people here.

I have been shouting for decades … only to be maligned, excluded … you name it …

Lots of people, including probably everyone here, have been aware and “shouting” for many years about the problems we face, the encroachment of Socialism and Communism into our government, and much more. You are not unique in your concerns.

While hope is essential, one should always have a plan ‘b’ …

I say this with respect, so please don’t take it otherwise: I do not see hope in most of your comments. Hope is not negation of the gravity of the situation.

I’m curious about where you considered going that would provide the freedom and protections of our Constitution. Because despite setbacks, our Constitution is alive and well, and the Bill of Rights continues to protect us from tyranny. A lot of good things have happened, and continue to happen, in the midst of all the bad.

phoenixrising

We can’t dialog about this … you’re still talking about Congress, the Constitution, etc.

Congress is theatre… as is voting … the Constitution is gone…

my opinion, my conclusion. I see the situation different from how you do.

TheseTruths

Since you say that “we can’t dialog about this,” I would ask that you take into account that all others do not share your negative opinions when you comment. Since we are all allowed to state our opinions freely, I am not attempting to dictate what anyone says or how they say it. I will just say this:

I can provide evidence to support my views and therefore will not abandon them. When I experience a consistent stream of negativity that states that our country is gone, destroyed, and no longer exists, it is more demoralizing than what the Left proclaims. IMO, it does nothing to help our situation and becomes another obstacle to overcome. It is not a noble dose of reality that would shock us into some kind of needed action. It is a blanket of hopelessness that IMO is false in some very important ways.

So we can agree to disagree. I just want to give my honest assessment that the constant diet of negativity is not helpful, and that includes to you.

And to be clear, this is not this:

I have been shouting for decades … only to be maligned, excluded … you name it …

I am not maligning or excluding you. I understand where you are coming from. I am not ignorant of the situation and am not being heedlessly optimistic.

It appears that the answer to my question, “What should we be doing?” is “nothing” because nothing can be done.

That’s a very bleak place to be in. No wonder you wanted to leave the country (although I can’t think of a better one than the United States, even in its current situation).

Doctors Sue Biden Admin for Blocking Ivermectin as Covid Treatment
https://slaynews.com/news/doctor-sue-biden-admin-blocking-ivermectin-covid-treatment/

Democrat President Joe Biden’s administration has been hit with a federal lawsuit for unlawfully blocking the use of the antiviral drug ivermectin as a Covid treatment.

A group of doctors is suing the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), accusing the federal agencies of “lying to the public” about ivermectin.

The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. Southern District of Texas in Galveston, The Texan reported.

The plaintiffs, Drs. Mary Talley Bowden, Paul E. Marik, and Robert L. Apter, argue that the FDA has overstepped its authority by unjustifiably interfering with their medical practice.

The doctors are contesting the FDA’s portrayal of ivermectin as “dangerous” for human consumption.

They note that the FDA has approved ivermectin for human use since 1996 for a variety of diseases.

However, they allege that with the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, the FDA began releasing documents and social media posts discouraging the use of the anti-viral drug for COVID-19 treatment.

“We’re suing the FDA for lying to the public about ivermectin,” said Dr. Bowden.

Claims were made that the initial article misrepresented the law by stating the FDA’s official stance against ivermectin use without mentioning that doctors were allowed to administer the medicine.

U.S. law is cited in the complaint, including the provision that the FDA “may not interfere with the authority of a health care provider to prescribe or administer any legally marked device to a patient for any condition or disease within a legitimate health care practitioner-patient relationship.”

The article explains how the FDA claims it was only making recommendations and not mandating anything. The doctors counter with this FDA article and the accompanying tweet which said, “Hold your horses, y’all. Ivermectin may be trending, but it still isn’t authorized or approved to treat COVID-19.” (I don’t know if the tweet will show here. I was surprised that I could access it.)

Why You Should Not Use Ivermectin to Treat or Prevent COVID-19
https://www.fda.gov/consumers/consumer-updates/why-you-should-not-use-ivermectin-treat-or-prevent-covid-19

Whatever happens with this case, it is shining the spotlight on draconian COVID “recommendations” and restrictions and their role in people’s health and even whether they lived or died.

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/07/roger-stone-says-trump-told-him-remaining-classified/

The Independent Sentinel provided the following transcript [of Roger Stone and PDJT re: the JFK documents]:

“Trump did release roughly 80% of the documents, and we found out some shocking things. For example, Lee Harvey Oswald had gotten a, you know, 1099 from the FBI; that’s because he had been on their payroll. He was an informant; Lee Harvey Oswald had attended the foreign language school that is run by the Central Intelligence Agency in North Carolina. That’s how he learned to speak Russian.

“We learned about President Lyndon Johnson’s early membership in the Ku Klux Klan. That was among the documents that were included uh so there’s a lot of stuff there that historians poured through.

“There was a lot of interesting data, but even Trump held back 20% of the documents. When I had the occasion to ask him about that, I said, ‘Why didn’t you let it all out, and he said, ‘I can’t tell you. It’s so horrible you wouldn’t believe it. Someday, you’ll find out all about it. The sum total of it. He didn’t want to talk about it.”

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Good. This adds confirmation to several “theories of the horrible”.

IMO Kennedy learned of the really deep manipulators of humanity. I suspect that Kennedy was preparing to do something about it, and those manipulators manipulated “lower levels” to take him out.

I imagine that Trump wants to have a measure of control for when such information would be released. He might want certain other things to be in place first, to prevent fallout.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

IMO, nothing is in complete context without some understanding of the “exo problem”. That is definitely compounding all issues, IMO. That is why all the recent disclosure, IMO.

I have thought that maybe they were not reading Trump in on everything. The fact that he was sitting on 20% of the JFK files intentionally, and agreeably, tells me that he was aware of more than I suspected.

On July 5, 1776, Congress made its first land acquisition when it purchased 96 acres of land south of Philadelphia to build a fort for the protection of the young nation’s capital city. After the July 4th Declaration of Independence, Congress immediately began to think about its own safety and that of its host city, knowing that it would be a likely British target.

The modern city of Paulsboro, New Jersey encompasses the land Congress purchased for the location of Fort Billingsport, which sat on the high ground at the narrowest point of the Delaware River south of Philadelphia. Construction of the fort was intended to block, or at least slow, a naval invasion up the river from the Delaware Bay…

The site of Fort Billingsport was the first acquisition of land by the Continental Congress and has been called the “Birthplace of Homeland Security.” As the first federally owned installation of any kind, it has great historical significance. Efforts are currently underway to have the site reconstructed and turned into a tourist attraction.

Philadelphia was the early capital of the United States after the Constitution was ratified, but on May 14, 1800, the nation’s capital moved to Washington.

Maybe DailyFail is doing geo-blocking, but they don’t seem to be blocking Krautland right now 🙂 Another possibility would be blocking lists, like uBlock Origin (or whatever it is), but DM being on there would be odd…

Are the Grauniad, Sun, Star, or even theregister.co.uk blocked as well? America The Great
The land of the free … and deep-fried snickers, mustard-based BBQ sauce, nail guns, thermal scopes, and county fair rollercoasters assembled by a gaggle of meth heads.

…….. Consider the things the average American bitches about:

The hot water is taking to long get warm!
The Internet is slow!
The cable is out!
I’m out of printer ink!
Concert tickets are too expensive!
My car’s making a funny sound!
The new iPhone’s camera isn’t good enough!
My AC will only cool my crib to 67!
Know what the rest of the world bitches about?

Food.
Dysentery.
Civil War.
Water that won’t kill you.
Getting genocided.
Is this fair? Hell no it ain’t — so shut up you bedwetters, and tweet your boo-hoos to someone who cares about your “woes.” You don’t have any! Why? Because someone better than you marched into the Grizzly den known as hardship, smack that bastard around, and made him vacuum the floor and do the dishes before he could have any porridge! Oh, things are so hard for you? Try busting sod in South Carolina … in August … in 1800, when all you had was wool clothes!

Think of what our forefathers endured! War! Starvation! Agonizing death! Bitter cold and blazing heat! Barack Obama! Yet today, we have law students being provided counseling after SCOTUS makes a ruling they don’t like, and tens of millions of Americans shrieking that syrup is racist. Wanna know what racism is? Slavery — which our black brothers and sisters survived, and went on to greatness! Does anyone really think Frederick Douglass would give a speech about the need to change the name of a pimento cheese spread? Or that MLK, Jr’s last thought was, “I forgot to mention they need to change the name of Eskimo Pies?”

Hell, no! He was an American man! He saw injustice, strapped on his battle gear, and ended it! That’s possible here in the land of the free — hell, we saw an injustice in Japan, and stopped it … with freaking nukes! How bad ass is that? It’s one of our great advantages: Other nations may rattle their sabers and point at their nukes, but in the back of their minds they always remember, “Those crazy sons of bitches have actually used these things!”…………………

Senior GOP Lawmakers Ask Office of Special Counsel to Investigate Allegations of Retaliation Against IRS Whistleblowers

Senator Chuck Grassley, Senator Ron Johnson, House Oversight Chairman James Comer, and House Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith sent a letter to Special Counsel Henry Kerner requesting an investigation.

As TGP’s Kristinn Taylor reported: A letter sent in May to Republican and Democrat members of House and Senate committees by attorneys representing the IRS whistleblower in the Hunter Biden investigation states that the whistleblower and his team of investigators have been removed from the investigation at the request of the Justice Department.

The Feds mishandled the criminal investigation into Hunter Biden, according to an IRS supervisor who sought whistleblower protection earlier this year.

An IRS whistleblower said Hunter Biden received “preferential treatment.”

US Attorney General Merrick Garland is also in on the scandal.

The Biden Regime retaliated against the IRS whistleblower and knifed the entire team that was investigating Hunter Biden.

Hunter Biden was eventually given a sweetheart deal by federal prosecutors: two misdemeanors related to tax crimes.

Senior GOP lawmakers asked Special Counsel Henry Kerner to investigate the allegations of unlawful whistleblower retaliation.

Catherine Herridge:

If Alleged DOJ Misconduct Is True, A Judge Could Dismiss The Whole Case Against Trump
https://thefederalist.com/2023/07/05/if-alleged-doj-misconduct-is-true-a-district-judge-could-dismiss-the-whole-case-against-trump/

The author:

Will Scharf is a former federal prosecutor, who also worked on the confirmations of Supreme Court Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett. He is currently a Republican candidate for Missouri Attorney General.

Lost in the breathless headlines over the indictment of President Trump for alleged violations of the Espionage Act is a story that deserves much more attention than it has received thus far: the allegation that a senior official at the Department of Justice attempted to shake down Trump’s co-defendant’s lawyer. It is a scandal in the making that could result in the investigation of senior DOJ officials, which should lead to public congressional hearings, and that might even result in the entire case against Trump being dismissed…

In cases of flagrant prosecutorial misconduct, courts have the discretion to dismiss indictments altogether. If Woodward’s claims are proven, U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon would be well within her rights to consider a dismissal here. The conduct claimed is perhaps unprecedented and certainly flagrant, amounting to nothing less than an effort by a high-ranking DOJ official to deprive a defendant of his Sixth Amendment right to counsel through inappropriate and potentially unlawful acts.

At the very least, Trump and Nauta deserve answers. Courts routinely allow discovery by the defense in cases of alleged prosecutorial misconduct — including depositions and requests for documents and communications — in order to determine the scope, breadth, and effects of any misconduct that occurred. The defense team in this case should seek testimony from Bratt to get to the bottom of what he said and why.

As importantly, defense counsel should also seek to subpoena any communications between Bratt and others in DOJ and the White House relating to Woodward’s judgeship application and Bratt’s approach to Woodward more generally. My assumption is that these communications will be eye-opening, and may reveal even more misconduct on the part of the DOJ, the special counsel’s team, and their political masters.

The legal teams defending Trump and Nauta surely know all of this, and I am confident that they will pursue this and other lines of defense aggressively. But the American people also deserve to know the full details of misconduct by senior officials at the Department of Justice.

Republicans in Congress should demand answers publicly and aggressively. The House Judiciary Committee has jurisdiction to investigate matters relating to the administration of justice in the federal court system. It has the power to subpoena Bratt, the other lawyers involved in the Trump prosecution, and senior Biden administration officials to get to the bottom of this.

Make no mistake, this is a huge deal. Bratt’s conduct may even fall within the ambit of federal criminal statutes. Depending on what exactly was said, Bratt’s conduct could constitute attempted witness tampering in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1512(b)(1), attempted federal bribery in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 201(b)(3), attempted extortion by a federal official in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 872, or attempted subornation of perjury in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1622.

If the Department of Justice is truly committed to the open and transparent treatment of this case, a special counsel should be empowered to investigate Bratt’s actions and any other alleged misconduct by Jack Smith’s team.

kalbokalbs

Traitor Smith is quite aware of his weakness in Florida, which is a good sign in of it self, and it is the reason for new additional charges to be filed in New Jersey. I just wonder how many of those charges will actually be duplicates of what may be tossed out in Florida and what effect that will have on the charges on alleged offenses stemming from his Bedminister, NJ club. Best defense seems Delay, Delay, Delay, win the Republican Nomination, Delay again if they can’t see how political, stupid, and evil they’ve become and then pardon himself once he wins. Hopes Judge Canon completely demolishes the constitutionality of the charges they are bringing and thus blows the bottom out of the NJ charges. It’s totally silly to think that Trump was misusing documents in anyway to harm the USA that he should of been allowed to retain like any other past president.

Legal experts: Jack Smith has a “backup plan” if Judge Aileen Cannon …

Whew! Good to have the internet whirring along like it is supposed to. No more frozen face or garbled voice. The Judge was intrigued by my latest diatribe on the nuttiness of CIA Director Bill Burns. Guys like Burns befuddle me. He has a gold-plated education. He does not present as a raving lunatic. And he wrote a very sane, inaccurate cable from Moscow when he was posted there as the U.S. Ambassador. He, better than most, knows first hand that Russia is not a Potemkin Village masquerading as a nation. Russia is a serious country with robust military and industrial capabilities, not to mention having oodles of functioning nukes.

Surprise!: Mark Zuckerberg’s ‘Sanely Run’ Twitter Clone ‘Threads’ Collects All Your Data
https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2023/07/05/surprise-mark-zuckerbergs-sanely-run-twitter-clone-threads-collects-all-your-data/

Threads, the soon-to-be-launched app touted by Facebook (now known as Meta) as the “sane” alternative to Elon Musk’s Twitter, will — much like other Facebook apps — collect a dizzying array of details about its users.

Screenshots of the app, which is available for pre-download on the App Store, shows it will collect data on users’ health & fitness, financial information, contact information, user content, browsing history, usage data, diagnostics, purchases, location, contacts, search history, identifiers, sensitive info, and more.

Many other apps, including Twitter, collect data on their users, but Facebook (along with Google) is particularly notorious for it. The tech giant recently settled a class-action data privacy lawsuit in the U.S. for $725 million, and has been condemned by both Democrat and Republican lawmakers for the way it has handled user data in the past.

News of Threads’ data collection policies drew a quip from Twitter owner Elon Musk: “Thank goodness they’re so sanely run.”

The phrase “sanely run” comes from a Facebook executive’s comment to employees that the company has “been hearing from creators and public figures who are interested in having a platform that is sanely run.”

As Breitbart News previously reported, this is likely a euphemism for more censorship. The vast majority of complaints about Twitter in the corporate legacy media, and from politicians and regulators, stem from the fact that Elon Musk has vocally rejected the idea that social media platforms should censor their users on behalf of the political left…

_______________

Looks like a situation where the Leftists on Twitter will continue to abandon the platform, and now they have an echo chamber safe-space to land in.

Somewhere that they can be spoon-fed only approved narratives, and anyone who objects is banned / suppressed / censored.

And it will be a ‘success’, financially and otherwise, for the same reason the MSM companies are a ‘success’ (financially and otherwise), whether they have any viewers or readers, or not.

Because they are critical infrastructure to the propaganda and control apparatus, subsidized and funded with tax dollars and who can even imagine how much dark money.

scott467

One guess, or two. Muzzie way of life? Religion of peace, isn’t a religion of peace?

Mini of mini, ground reports.

Makati Ayala Mall, Manila. Expensive part of town.

Slow guy sits on a bench while DW, does what women do. Shop.

Some guy walks up and asks if he could sit down. Me, of course, plenty of room.

Dude asks where I am from. Me. States. United States.

Dude, I’m from Indonesia. (MeThinks, muzze. Another stereo type.)

Dude asks if I like Trump. Me. Rattle about Trump being great, not a politician, honest… I ask Dude if he likes Trump.

Dude. Yes, Trump is Christian. Indonesia, fourth largest population. ~260M. Mostly Muslim. Says he is Christian. Quotes a verse of two. Me. Wow.

About that time, DW waves me to wander more in the mall. Bid dude a good afternoon.

Coulda been a ruse. Baiting me, just to be, set-up, befriended. Seemed sincere, albeit only a ~four minute encounter.

Valerie Curren

That is (seems like) an encouraging encounter! Blessings

Cuppa Covfefe

Macaroon probably wanted an “encounter session” like they used to have in the wild new age enclaves in Kalifornistan… Esalen?

Do tell!

What, are you doing cliffhangers now? 😂

cthulhu

Psst — it’s a link…..

TheseTruths

Doesn’t work for me…

TheseTruths

It doesn’t “light up” like a link would.

cthulhu

Did it work like a link?

TheseTruths

Your link worked. Wolf’s just looks like text.

cthulhu

Did it work if you clicked on it?

TheseTruths

Yours did. His didn’t because it just looks like text and doesn’t “light up” when the cursor goes over it or if I click on it.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Wow. Interesting. For me, the text “activates” (shows underlining and link cursor) when I do a “mouseover” event, AND it goes to the web page upon clicking.

kalbokalbs

That one did. Thanks.

kalbokalbs

Not here.

scott467

Not for me it’s not!

It’s just black boldface text, no link!

cthulhu

Try a right-click. What browser are you using?

scott467

FF at the moment.

I was able to use the link you posted, thank you!

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Works for me on Firefox AND Brave! Both activation and link.

New version of JetPack just went in. Fair warning on notifier weirdness.

You may notice a slight rash. You should seek medical attention if you experience something lasting more than four hours….particularly if normally experienced by the opposite sex….

LOL

Nor'easter

(No sauce yet; still can’t view tweets):

Just saw on OAN that their twitter account, which had been suspended, has been restored.

(can’t even copy the url to their Twitter)

TheseTruths

I can only view tweets that someone has displayed on their site. I can’t go to a Twiter site like I used to and see its tweets.

Nor'easter

Looks like we’re in the same boat!

scott467

I can go right to it (i.e., the OAN twitter account), with no problem:
