There is a certain point where “the more deranged, the better”, and I think the GA indictments are well past that.
That certain point got smooshed into wet red Georgia clay, never to be seen again.
So, it looks to me that the form of this thing says one or more Acts by a Defendant constitute a Crime. There are alleged to be at least 101 Acts, 41 Crimes, and 19 Defendants. Mind you, the cited criminal statutes detail the elements that must be present in order for the crime to be committed — and there’s nothing that says that the cited Acts are, in fact, elements of the cited Crimes.

It’s distressing to see this being done to those people and our country and, by extension, us. I can’t imagine being one of the people charged. The stress, worry, and expense will drag on for months. I know it is affecting PDJT even though he remains strong for us and is a warrior. They all need our prayers and support.
If I were advising, which I’m not, I would suggest each defendant jointly file a fed civil RICO against every person in the Fulton County DA’s office.

Nate Bargatze: Digging a hole
He’s right, it’s a lot harder than it looks!
My cousin and I dug a hole in our back yard, behind the garage, when we were kids. My Dad knew we were digging a hole, but he didn’t realize we were digging a hole.
About a week later, he came out to the far side of the garage to look at it, and there was a hole behind his garage. About 5 feet long by 4 feet wide by close to 5 feet deep. Deep enough that we could stand up inside it.
We were making a fort. We took two big pieces of thick plywood boards and put them over the hole, and then put dirt on top of the boards, so you couldn’t tell there was a hole there. We could walk on it. It bounced a little, but it was strong enough to hold our weight.
The idea was that when we wanted to go in the fort, we would slide the board far enough to climb in, and then slide the board back from underneath. By the time we were done though, it turned out that the idea of having a fort in the ground was a lot more exciting than the reality of having a fort in the ground.
Because what do you do with it, after you’re done?
We didn’t really think that far ahead… 😁
By the end of summer, my Dad made us fill the hole back in.
Then about a year later, he asked me where his giant (giant to me at the time, it was at least 4 feet long) octagonal iron spud bar was.
It was at the bottom of the hole we filled in.
And it’s still there.
Just in case I ever need it, I know exactly where it is 😂
I have relatives that were killed when holes that they were digging collapsed in on them. Goes with the Irish heritage.
If this one had collapsed in on us, the dirt would only have been up to our waists, at most. Probably only up to our knees.
It was harder to get out of than I expected.
We tried cutting footholds in the dirt, but they only lasted about one use if we were lucky, before the footholds collapsed. So to get out, you had to do it like you were climbing out of a swimming pool at the end with no ladder or stairs, all upper body strength.
Which normally wouldn’t have been a problem, especially at that age, except shoveling dirt and throwing the dirt over your shoulder, far enough away to not slide back in the hole, takes a lot of upper body strength too, using the same muscles.
So by the time you’re ready to climb out of the hole, those muscles are tired 😂

I have to say, having people with no accounting background opine as to what accounting rules do, and why, is a constant source of amusement. I’m sure TB2 can empathize, being that people are always spouting off about banking rules — and, also, because he is familiar enough with accounting to appreciate wild statements in that regard.
The idea that accounting rules force management into certain actions is exactly backwards. Management can propose a dozen actions and get a tentative accounting treatment for each. In the case of an enterprise that is burning cash, the accounting treatment for every scenario will highlight the cash burn rate. This is not to say that not retaining trained technicians is mandated by accountants — but they will truthfully report the costs involved.
And, mind you, Silicon Valley is full of companies that went through years of cash burn based on their technological advances. Some were major successes….and others just failed and disappeared.
Further, the idea of capitalizing the value of a skilled workforce is not new. If I recall correctly, there were certain circumstances in acquisition accounting where “workforce-in-place” was actually put on the balance sheet (and reduced as people left). Mind you, I’ve been in accounting for four decades and the rules for “Goodwill” (the excess paid in acquisition over the target’s book value) have changed many times…..but it is not an original concept.
So … basically just common sense?

A mini ground report
Durham County is having utility work performed in the area where Yours Truly resides. Turns out that part of one’s driveway will need to be dug up for the lines to be laid properly. Yours Truly spoke in person with the regional manager of the subcontractor company that will be doing this work.
In the course of the conversation, the manager (large man, probably late 40s) apologized for being late in getting to the property to talk with me. As my late father would say, the manager looked “shook up.” He apparently had just fielded a phone call from the wife of his best friend. The best friend will have the plugs pulled on him this afternoon at the hospital — “sudden onset” Stage 4 colon cancer that no intervention could help. According to the manager, his friend apparently had had a perfectly fine colonoscopy a couple of years ago. Then he started “having problems” earlier this year. And it went downhill from there.
One can surmise 99.99999% that this man’s friend had been “fully vaccinated and/ or boosted” within the last two years. It’s the “sudden onset” Stage 4 that waves the red flag to one regarding involvement of any COVID-19 “vaccine” that this man more than likely took.
Meantime, his wife and children will be at his bedside when the plugs are pulled. May he rest in eternal Peace, and may his family somehow find comfort.

I think the clot shot got my sister, too. I haven’t mentioned it, but she, being in Kalifornistan and due to her job, no doubt got the clot shot and boosters.
Late last year she tripped and fell down the stairs in her house, breaking her neck, 3rd to 5th vertebrae damaged. Surgery followed, but problem, after problem, after problem (pneumonia, sepsis, sores, etc.) happened along with the crappy Kalifornistan and “Medicare” (read: Øbøzø-don’t-care) causing all manner of moves between facilities, understaffing, underqualified and/or uncaring personnel, etc.).
Thing is, she was super fit, a power-walker who traveled all over the world with her walking group, and was surer-footed than a mountain goat.
I think she blacked out due to the clot shot. But we’ll never know now.
Two months ago she went into a coma (they think she had a stroke) and never came out, so my niece and nephew were presented with a similar situation, when or if to pull the plug. The med folks said she was not responsive at all, so they decided to take her off life support.
I think the damned Kalifornistan “health” system “helped” her along.
When I read your comment I felt as if I should say that my family had the same situation. These evil people, both the Faucis and Lauterbachs and Drostens and Collins and his lot, as well as the DEMONRATS and RINOS need to burn for their deeds. First here on earth, and then for all eternity.

I love donkeys. Don’t know that I’ve met a mule but I have heard the idiom of the stubborn mule needing to be hit by a 2×4 to get his attention. Some people in the past called it a joke, but that would have been pre-woke times perhaps. I cannot find the origination of the 2×4 idiom. Stubborn as a mule is quite well known. I think my dad said they used horses to plow their fields when he was a kid.

Donkeys and mules have a completely different temperament compared to a horse. They are not stubborn so much as they are timid and untrusting. Earn their trust and they are much easier to train than a horse because there is more BRAIN in the skull.

I spent yesterday in Durham at Duke. My friend’s laser surgery sort of went well. She is home and in pain and suffering sticker shock from the’co-pay’ price which as an unemployed person she can not come near to affording.
Also they only got 2 out of the 4 stones and will have to do it again for the other 2. The first stone took 1-1/2 hours to break up.😱 The doctors did not want to keep her under any longer to get the other 2 stones.

D@mn the hospital bills. When I was in the ER at UNC in 2020 when I had my fall/concussion/TBI accident, I was given ONE 500mg Ibuprofen for the pain. That ONE tablet showed up on the invoice as costing $7. That’s right—$7.

I will certainly be driving her to the next couple of appointments. Right now she has my phone since it seems to work OK at her home. A lot of phones do not.
Hubby, & I had been talking to her doctors so I gave her my phone. That way she can talk to the doctors and also stay home and call us if she needs help.

There are some areas of historically owned properties by black people for many decades. Developers are circling and the problem is that in many cases the current owners are older. They value their hard gotten and hard kept property but the younger generation…not so much. They see designer clothes, fancy cars, etc

Ok, time for some real, painful truth here.
I lived on the Big Island for almost two years, less than a decade ago. Hawaiian government redefines inept.
And the culture is not understandable to a mainlander. Some examples:
A place where I worked was rebuilding a large deck. The boards for the deck had to be hammered into concrete, so it made a loud report as the nails were driven. You couldn’t miss the sound. Which came about every five minutes. That’s right, ONE NAIL every five minutes. I worked there for three months and the deck was not completed. The foreman spent most of the day on smoke breaks or coffee breaks.
I went to the courthouse one day to do some paperwork. There were THREE Hawaiian uniformed persons at the airport-style x-ray screening entrance to the courthouse, which was in a building that looked a lot like a large long wooden chicken house or barn from the outside. Two to watch, one to work. They were all paid very high wages to do this.
Unless you are Hawaiian, or married to a Hawaiian, you do not work for the large construction companies that build everything on Hawaii. Period.
If there is road construction being done, several policemen must be paid to stand and watch the traffic go by. And most of the road crew stands around not doing much of anything most of the day.
I knew people who were having houses built. Between the permits, the Hawaiian construction crews, and the inability to source materials, normal houses can take 3-4 years to complete.
Hawaii has only been a state for just over sixty years. Prior to that, the government was pretty primitive. Stuff we take for granted here does not happen over there. I felt like I was living in a foreign country, if not third world, then second. I could not escape fast enough.
Maui will be lucky to be rebuilt in a decade. The native Hawaiians will be protected by the government, though, that I promise you. That’s how it works on the islands. That’s what all the tourist money is for. Natives get free health care, food stamps, housing, and actual cash from the government every month.
Oh, and haole does not mean “white.” It means “without breath.” The Hawaiians believe that the island itself breathed life into the Hawaiian people. If you are not from there, you are haole.
As a side note, the Fiancee and I toured Puerto Rico a couple of decades ago and they were far from efficient, as well.
Part of the tropical island mentality. If you do not have a winter to prepare for then there is no sense of urgency.
It’s just very different from what we are accustomed to.

Gail, how was your friend’s surgery? Did everything go okay?
Sort of. The first stone took an hour and a 1/2 to destroy so they had to stop after taking out the two stones in the urethra. She has to go back in for another surgery to get the other stones. She is NOT a happy camper and in a lot of pain.
Let’s just say politeness is not one of her strong points esp when she is in pain.
I am checking up on her and left her my phone which works in the area she lives. I will bring her food again tomorrow. So far her appetite is good thank goodness. She has lost a LOT of weight and needs to gain back 10 to 20 lbs.
She is very lucky to have you for a friend. I will keep you both in my prayers! 👍

My guess is this is the same problem that happened after Katrina. The State has to pony up a promise to pay 10% of the cost before the govt will allow military to deploy along with max out their state assets, asset for asset, before the Feds put anything on the ground. Mind you the state can say x is not available because of x and the Feds will verify and say okay and they have the ability to do that almost immediately working military liaison officers against state military liaison officers. FEMA and the Red Cross do the same. Verify no asset but federal is available and then deploy that asset. Example. Mayor Joe says I need a weed whacker. ALO checks with State ALO and determines state does not have a weed whacker and Feds send them a weed whacker and whatever support (gas, operator, meals, hotel etc.. ) that is required to whack weeds for X number of days.
This was part of my duties in CA. Stand up a Military Support to Civilian Agencies. MSCA Operation Command Post. Any thing the a civilian agency wanted was requested to us, we would staff each issue and turn around a verdict immediately and deploy the right assets with a thumbs up from the Commander or we would staff it, and resolve support questions often with in an hour.
For Katrina the cost share was 70/30 and Louisiana dragged its feet (was recalcitrant)_and would not sign documents committing to the cost share along with not deploying all of it’s assets that were available. They held back so Gen Ray whatever refused to deploy. He moved up to the ready line and stopped short waiting on the state to do the right thing. At some point much quicker than happened he should of declared the Gov recalcitrant and got Brown to issue an over ride. But he himself became part of the log jam on what was supposed to be a simple paper drill.
All the above is done with assumption that the Feds will pay for 90% of the disaster and State 10% So far the only thing I’ve heard from Biden is he’ll give everyone 700.00. That is not a disaster declaration. That is a smoke screen and pitiful one at that.
