Public school money is basically turned over to parents who want to leave public education, to be used elsewhere. The Demons want strings attached to the money, but the R’s try to make sure there are as few strings as possible.
It’s a fight, and yes – it would be better if the money never left the parents – but that’s down the road. The first step is disempowering the Demons and their unions, by as many ways as possible. Letting and helping parents take their money marbles and LEAVE is a fast way to begin attacking the problem.

This is very real, as we here have been discussing for some months now. As usual, the Q Tree was way ahead of the curve.

This is one of the reasons why I am currently valuing my time here much more than I did before, when I attempted to help create change on the state, local, regional levels.
What I was finding is that we here at the Q Tree were temporally ahead of what was happening on the ground, and I was getting “dragged back in time” to older thinking by everybody and everything around me. You can see the trends much better in our little domain here. But in our politicking, we were holding soon-to-be outmoded positions, and any attempt to take future positions was too radical, and had to be done carefully.
We have a very interesting, self-limiting group here.
Who stays and who goes is fascinating. But those of us who stay create a dynamic informational extravaganza. Debate is rarely necessary; an idea or thesis starts and is just amplified by succeeding commentary, into whatever outcome is required.
It’s how we all got out way ahead of Covid, the vaxx, the bad guys in the Trump orbit, the war in Ukraine, and on and on.
Occasionally, there is a disturbance in the force, but it doesn’t get very far.
The Q Tree is like a really cohesive think tank dedicated to the betterment of humanity. And it’s working. I promise you, we are effecting change on a wider scale than it might appear.

This article touches on something I have never thought about, though it is objectively true. And it is an answer, at least a partial one, for my son, who asked me on Thanksgiving why people have always persecuted and hated the Jews. From the article:

I think I have read that this is the level at which you can reach most of the people. With Trump, it has never occurred to me that he might be talking down to me, or us. I don’t think he is. I always appreciate that he communicates issues on a basic level that makes his meaning crystal clear, and also so that people can easily identify with the truth of what he’s saying.
There is a difference between that and how Obama speaks, with a condescending tone and manner that grates on me. I have wondered if Kamala is trying to be like him in her manner of speaking, and utterly failing. Or maybe she’s just an unprepared airhead. 😅

In tech writing, we try to say things as simply as possible and the 6th grade level is considered the ideal. Some tech topics are at much higher levels but only when they need to be due to the subject matter, especially long nouns that after first occurrence can drop to the acronym. Active voice, short sentences, short paragraphs are all good. In gov, they call it Plain English. I wish they had more plain commonsense. LOL
Note: This strategy also makes it much easier when document must be translated into many different languages for corporate products.

Follow up Dec 5th. Elevated leg, Ice every half hour for a half hour, exercises and pain meds.
I do not look forward to the time I have to do this.

I feel you had the same. I would have it checked. The doc told me I need a knee replacement before 60 am going to be 79 next month and did not do it. Live with the pain work around it and if it gets to much take one aspirin. Wear a kneed brace when doing lots of walking.
I wonder if you did to much right away I did because had not much pain. Though would have it checked to many people get infections.
Diet change is good too eat nothing that is inflammatory like sugar bread you get the picture..? Prayers for healing. 🙂
I’d be concerned that something “slipped” after the surgery and is now being healed wrong. You should have the doctors check.
Not to spook you, razorback. A friend needed shoulder surgery after an accident. The first surgeon did not place the pins in her shoulder very well. I saw a copy of her x-ray and it was scary because all these pins were sticking out. She had to have a second surgery to fix those and was much better after that.
Prayers that you are blessed by God for healing and further help.
Hopefully, this is the expected ebb and flow during the healing process.
When I almost severed two finger tips completely off, the first few days were not so bad. Then unbearable pain set in. A few heavy drugs and three weeks later, the long slog of recovery took over from there.
