It’s vacationing in California.
Yep. So much rain today. Really cold. Big bear getting tons of snow. Rain is paused atm but its still going to rain overnight.
My mallards were just here to eat. Went swimming in my giant puddle in the backyard.
Just as long as the puddle stays put in your yard and keeps away from your house.
I had to go out there and sweep gallons out today. Its next to a smale block retaining wall which i could see some of the blocks had moved. Saturated from water next door running over here. So i swept all the water toward the porch, but it went in the drain. It already filled a second time, but we are having periodic rain now so its ok.
How long did it take to get your power on?
Fourteen hours, which is quite unusual for here (we have city power, and they are dedicated).
When I live somewhere that the power isn’t so reliable, I’m going to have to get fancy about battery backups and generators.
Theres a lot of options for generators. Solar and gas.
We had a generator and gave it away about 15 years ago. Like everything with a gas engine, you constantly have to make sure the gas is fresh and the engine is lubed, and take care to run it a certain number of hours per week — or it won’t work when you actually need it.
If you have a built-in backup system, one of the important parts is to separate the parts that need to run from the parts that are optional. This would take a lot of work…..in a house where I do not want to live.

The economists and others are trying to tell us the economy is good and inflation is down. I just looked at a site that was doing verbal gymnastics trying to say that a consumer switching from steak to chicken and the gov thus using chicken in their ‘basket of goods’ instead of steak was perfectly reasonable since it reflects what the consumer is buying.🙄
What I noticed is NO ONE mentions the fact that when I earned $3,000 steak/beef was $0.60 a lb. Does that equate to earning $30,000 and steak/beef costing $6.00 a lb?
NO! because when I earned $3,000 my federal tax was 10% and there WAS NO SALES TAX…. Now for $30,000 it is the 12% bracket and most states have at least a 5% sales tax. Not that $30,000 today is anywhere close to the actual value of $3,000 in 1970.

Utility taxes;
Insurance premiums of all types, including health insurance;
Real estate assessments and taxes;
HOA dues increases;
“Per-hour / Per-job” fees for all kinds of people — from attorneys to lawn-care companies to skilled laborers (plumbers, etc.);
and so on.
I’ve also been seeing big increases in my water bill, electricity bill, garbage, and natural gas bill also. And I’m not using any more than I normally do. I can’t think of a single thing that has not gone up since Biden took office.

I’m sure everyone understands, but reminds anyway that though the rate of inflation appears to be dropping, the actual rise in prices is pretty much writ in stone, so the rate may drop but the prices remain high, the damage has been done and is very hard to undo. So just in case you run into one of those progressive Biden lovers don’t let them get away with the “Inflation is dropping” talk.
You can of course add into such a conversation that the basket of goods that make up the inflation rate are likely not what you buy day to day. There are only a set number of goods in that basket used for describing inflation and not all of them are consumer goods and the people deciding what is in that basket are Bidense.

Southern Baptists are not ecumenical. They may choose to be members in the association with each local church being autonomously owned and operated. With that being said, each member church is then responsible for any contributions it makes to the Association that gets used for nefarious purposes as you indicate.
The church we left did not differentiate and use their discretionary power, which is one of the reasons we left. The church we recently joined does. The difference occurs primarily when the local church is pastor led or congregation led. Ours is the latter.

If I was in charge of hiring at a large company, I wouldn’t even interview job applicants until they passed a high school test from the 1980s (or older) on basic English and math skills.
If someone can’t answer what 4 x 15 is, they are functionally incompetent. Not only have they missed basic education since around first grade, but they don’t even possess the intellect to figure it out.
Get a pile of rocks, and group them into four sets of 15, and then count them if you have to. Figure it out.
Every teacher who passed them on to the next grade level, without learning even the most rudimentary academic skills, should be fired and sued to claw back all the pay they received for allowing the children under their charge to grow up and graduate, while remaining academically (and functionally) incompetent.
As a hiring manager I would not even consider anyone under 35.

The third time, I didn’t wait so long to take the Ivermectin. It knocked the covid down in the first 18 hours or so (as before), felt about 80% better, but lesser symptoms still lingered for a week or so, and the cough, like always, took at least another couple weeks to mostly go away.

I just listened to Jay Seculow about the appeals court ruling against Trump.
Seculow’s team pointed out the dangers of the ruling that it can apply to every President past to future. Also the appeals court presumed Trump guilty and he has to prove his innocents. This is so counter to our judicial system where we are supposed to be seen as innocent and the government has to proof we are guilty.
The danger now is every person consulting the President will loose his immunity when leaving their post in the WH or where ever they advised the President.
I am wondering if only the President and his advisers loose immunity and Judges and Congress can keep theirs when leaving their position?

Before Biden leaves office, his handlers will get him to sign amnesty for all illegals in the country.
This would prevent Trump from deporting them for illegally entering the country.

Not sure if you have to be convicted in order to be pardoned but I do know that acceptance of a pardon is admitting guilt and/or criminal liability. It’s also a waiver of Fifth Amendment protection against self-incrimination.
Can’t remain silent once a pardon has been accepted.

Judge Cannon granted most of defendants’ request to unredact portions of their motions for discovery. Court dismissed DOJ concerns about (i) harm to witnesses, (ii) disclosing an FBI code name for a separate investigation, (iii) disclosing uncharged conduct of an individual.

Two co-defendants in former President Donald Trump’s election interference trial have filed motions seeking to remove Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from the case.
Willis claimed that Trump masterminded a conspiracy both inside and outside of Georgia during the months he pushed back against the results of the 2020 presidential election. Trump has said his fight against the results broke no laws.
Former state Republican Party Chairman David Shafer and former Coffee County Republican Chairwoman Cathy Latham said Willis has two strikes against her, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Shafer and Latham said that the relationship Willis reluctantly acknowledged with Nathan Wade, the top prosecutor in the case, and racially charged remarks she made in January at a historic black church are grounds to disqualify her.
“All the causes for the disqualification are self-inflicted blows,” said a motion filed by lawyers for Shafer, which was adopted by Latham.
Willis has strayed “wildly from the legal guardrails that are designed to protect the accused from improper, extrajudicial comments,” per the motion.
To date, five of the 15 people awaiting trial have filed motions to disqualify Willis.
The motion said a hearing on the claims to boot Willis “is unseemly and an uncomfortable experience for all involved.”
But Willis and Wade took steps that were “completely avoidable errors in which the defense had no hand but are of such significance that the defense has no choice but to put them before the court,” the motion said.
Willis admitted last week she was in a personal relationship with Wade, but she insisted it should not mean she or her office should be removed from the case. A hearing on a motion from former Trump campaign aide Michael Roman to remove Willis is scheduled for Feb. 15. Roman was the first to claim Willis and Wade were in a relationship.
The motion said hiring Wade “to investigate and prosecute the defendants and payments to Mr. Wade of over a half a million dollars from the Fulton County treasury while allowing Mr. Wade to pay for vacations for the District Attorney and other personal expenses constitutes a disqualifying conflict of interest as well as a violation of ethical rules applicable to attorneys and Fulton County employees, and potentially criminal law,” according to Fox News.
Willis is also under fire for comments she made last month at Atlanta’s Big Bethel AME Church when she insinuated race was the reason for the focus on Wade, who is black, instead of other prosecutors who are white.
“The obvious intent of her remarks was to inject and infect the jury pool in Fulton County with unfounded allegations that anyone who dares question her or Mr. Wade’s conduct must have done so for racist purposes,” the motion said.
“These comments constitute prosecutorial, forensic misconduct and warrant her removal and that of her office from the prosecution of this case,” the motion said.
A filing from Trump last month to oust Willis said she used the speech “to make racially charged, extrajudicial statements designed to defend against, as well as divert and deflect attention from, the alleged misconduct outlined in Roman’s motion.”
The filing said that during Willis’s speech in a religious setting she “repeatedly and inappropriately injected race into the case and stoked racial animus by, among other statements, asking God why the defendants were questioning her conduct in hiring a black man but not his white counterparts, and why the judgment of a black female Democrat wasn’t as good as white male Republicans

The filing quoted Willis as saying, “First thing they say. Oh, she going to play the race card now? But no. God, isn’t it them who’s playing the race card when they only question one?”
The filing said Willis’s “extrajudicial comments” amount to “a glaring, flagrant, and calculated effort to foment racial bias into this case by publicly denouncing the defendants for somehow daring to question her decision to hire a black man (without also mentioning that she is alleged to have had a workplace affair with the same man) to be a special prosecutor.”

Yours Truly: IMO, this paper is an important read. It confirms something that Yours Truly has suspected for some time — that the ingredients and the mechanisms of the COVID-19 “vaccines” turn the body of the “vaccine” recipient into a “receptacle” for foreign (“enemy”) proteins, AND into a “wide-open door” to the body’s immune system for the “vaccines” to damage / destroy.
The authors of the paper lay the blame for the above on the use of N1-methylpseudouridine in the Pfizer-BioNTech modRNA COVID-19 “vaccines”
Where Yours Truly begs to differ with the authors of the paper is their use of the phrase, “unintended proteins.” IMO, Pfizer-BioNTech knew exactly what they were doing in using N1-methylpseudouridine in the company’s modRNA COVID-19 “vaccines.” This compound basically evades the “vaccine” recipient’s body’s natural immune system “are you an enemy or a friend” mechanisms.
I think that some are aware, and others are just dupes.
