Be of One Mind . . .
In 1 Peter 3:8, Peter exhorts believers to “be of one mind” (NKJV). This unity is important because all Christians are on the same team, especially those in a local body. A team falls apart and loses its aim when it is not of one mind. When we treat believers as Christ has called us to, we can be of one mind in what we believe and in our actions to glorify God.
To be of one mind is to be like-minded or united in intent and purpose. In His High Priestly Prayer, Jesus prayed, “I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity” (John 17:22–23). The purpose of Christian unity is that “the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me” (verses 21, 23).
Romans 15:5–6 gives another reason why being of one mind is important: “May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ” (ESV). All believers are called to be of one mind so they can glorify God in unison and accurately reflect Jesus to the world and extend His offer of salvation (2 Corinthians 5:20).
When we are saved, we are united with Christ and become part of the family of God (1 John 3:1). When a family is of one mind, they can love each other well, and others take notice. Believers are also described as the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12–27; Ephesians 5:30). Different parts of the body cannot work in rebellion to the other parts. The body works as a synergistic whole. We need to live out the truth that we are one body and one family in Christ.
The way we treat each other impacts our unity. Peter continues the exhortation to be of one mind by calling believers to have “compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing” (1 Peter 3:8–9). What we believe affects how we live. If we believe we are united in Christ, then we will be of one mind.
Selfish actions and haughty thoughts cause disunity. Paul counters such sins in Philippians 2:1–3: “Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” Our union to Christ reminds us that we are all sinners saved by grace through faith in the finished work of Christ. Salvation leads us to being “completely humble and gentle” and being “patient, bearing with one another in love” (Ephesians 4:2). Being of one mind involves treating each other with love and selflessness.
Being of one mind does not mean pursuing unity simply for the sake of unity. We are united in Christ, and teachings that deny Christ must be excluded. Thus, we are of one mind in the essentials of the faith. We are to separate from those who teach false doctrine (Matthew 7:15; Romans 16:17; Revelation 2:14–15), and we are not to unite with people who claim to be Christians yet who live in continued, unrepentant sin (Matthew 18:15–17; 1 Corinthians 5:1–2). Being of one mind also does not mean that all differences between churches and denominations need to be abolished. We can hold distinct biblical convictions while still upholding unity and loving our other brothers and sisters in Christ who hold different convictions. Ultimately, it is Christ who unites us, and His Word and Spirit must convict us of where we are not representing Him well.
It takes work for a team to be of one mind, and each person who is part of it must work with his or her teammates to accomplish the team’s aim. Believers are called to be one body and one family in Christ. Our unity in Christ will transform how we treat each other and help us in our mission to glorify God and reflect Him to the world around us.

Sounds like he quit working as an informant earlier in 2020, but they really wanted him back for DC in January 2021, when they approached him in December 2020.
For me, the big thing is the admission that FIB, through informants, tries to push “the right” to radicalize. THAT seems to back what we know from FBI whistleblowers – that there is political pressure from the top to “find” white supremacists, right-wing extremists, etc., and that the bureaucracy of FIB management responds by saying “yes, ma’am” and then pushes agents to “find the crimes”.
Not sure whether he can be trusted or not. Not sure why he’s talking about this now. It’s possible that his opposition has been working the angle of “this guy is a radical right extremist” b/c of membership in some group, and he’s torching that narrative by revealing that he was an FBI asset during that time.

An old pastor of ours gave a teaching that has stuck with both my husband & me over the years. Basically there are absolutes, convictions, & opinions that we each wrestle with as Believers & it’s vital not to confuse them. The absolutes are bedrock scriptural teachings all Believers should agree on while convictions are those things that we feel compelled to follow from the prompting of the Holy Spirit or perhaps based on our church culture & upbringing where we have become firmly persuaded & our conscience might prick us if we violated them. Opinions, everyone’s got them!
As brothers & sisters in Christ we can hopefully always agree on absolute biblical truths.
Over the years when my husband was playing in various Christian (rock) bands they often had concerts in various churches & at numerous para-church ministry events. There was a wide range of denominations & church cultural styles we encountered in these adventures, but in Every Setting I always felt like we were fellowshipping with the Body of Christ & the people we encountered were our Brothers & Sisters…so in a sense Every ministry setting felt a bit like “home” to me 🙂
Those three categories are what Satan exploits to gain first a toehold and then a foothold. Eventually, the door is opened far enough for a snake [or many snakes] to slither in as if it’s their home and they are entitled to say what goes on in there.

Hubby did a bit of research on ferals because, once you put the food down they will turn and either swipe at you or try to bite. This is a classic move of ferals that they have learned in the wild as a method of protecting their food. (I use a water spray bottle to discourage the behavior. It works well.)
Now apply that knowledge to this older gentleman. It is quite likely he was scratched or bitten if he was like Hubby and could not defend himself from that ingrained behavior. Or if he was not expecting it once the cat was comfortable with him. Hubby can pet our feral but he STILL tries to attack hubby when fed. He does NOT try it with me however. ☔😋

Now I have found large fat ants hiding out in some of my unused electrical outlets but they were clearly not fire ants as they were much too big and slow.
Still after reading this, I may have to take targeted action to keep the herds in the appropriate pastures where they’ll do the most good. My only fear is this might fail and they’ll regroup and attack the house. 😮🙄

As I mentioned a bit ago, my brother had same. biopsy showed prostate cancer and the PET scan showed no other cancer so he’ll have it removed in a couple of weeks. We’re all relieved .

IMO — Sec. Austin may have had issues with both prostate and bladder prior to last year. There is also the possibility that the bladder was negatively affected by the prostate surgery (this does happen.) In fact, the Biden and Trump cases are as different as they are similar:
Mar-a-Lago is a far more secure location than Biden’s garage;
Biden had no prerogative to declassify documents unlike a President Trump;
Biden took out the files for over a decade, Trump for less than two years;
It was not Biden’s civic virtue that led to disclosure of the files, but the Biden Justice Department’s effort to turn a bureaucratic/civil dispute over classified presidential papers into a criminal indictment of Trump. That move prompted a cynical preemptive effort to avoid the charge of hypocrisy, given inevitably Biden years-long violations would then logically come to light.
6. Biden flat-out lied about the Hur report. It did repeatedly document that Biden was mentally challenged; it said unequivocally that Biden willfully knew he was breaking the law by removing classified documents; and it noted specifically that the Afghan materials were in fact classified as “top secret”. Biden is a pathological prevaricator, and lied every time he referenced the Hur report.
7. Screaming, insulting, blaming staff, claiming he had to focus on presidential business, self-righteous—all that scapegoating only further convinced the country that the Biden classified files scandal is not over. It is a spark to a fire that is about to burn out of control.
