Pineapple Mint Julep Margarita Cocktail Recipe
- Ice cubes
- 6 fresh mint leavesplus more for garnish
- 4 (1-inch) cubes pineappleplus a few thinly slices for garnish
- 2 ounces 100% agave silver tequila
- 1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 ounce agave syrup or simple syrup
INSTRUCTIONS
- Crush The Ice: Wrap a few handfuls of ice cubes in a clean towel or ice crusher bag and, using a mallet, rolling pin, or muddler, tap until all the ice is broken up and crushed (you want a mix of ice sizes from pea sized to snowlike).
- Make The Cocktail: Fill a highball glass or Julep cup with the pineapple and mint leaves and muddle until the mint and pineapple are broken up and they’ve let off liquid. Fill the cup with the crushed ice, stir together the tequila, lime juice, and agave and pour over the ice. Add more ice, then garnish with pineapple and mint and serve.

So the club for 3rd thru 6th graders was secret? Dang… how many moar of these things are there going to be? And when are they going to pause teaching sex and equity and start to teach basic education?
I know I know… they want us dumb and compliant… Someone is going to have to start a secret after school club that teaches the lies and pitfalls of liberalism and how to resist their stupidity.
So, I dropped the AA server into its production environment.
As per the prior comment on this project, it now shows a banner claiming to be “SCO Unix” when logging in. The talking cows aren’t fully working yet, but shouldn’t need direct access to fix. It also doesn’t show a bunch of hoopla about Ubuntu (although it displays last login — which I’ll change to May 29, 1453 if I can).
It’s been in an isolated test environment, where its fixed ip address was 192.168.1.20. I needed to update several parameters so that it will fit in to its permanent home. To do this, I used the nmcli command.
This stands for “network manager command line interface” and allows you a very granular level of control. You start by using “nmcli connection show” to get a list of network connections. Each will have a “UUID” which is a honkin’ long ugly string, which we will subsequently call XBLARGHX. This may seem annoying, but I have a few computers with multiple network interfaces — up to five — which are each intended for different purposes. Note that you do not need to sudo this.
From here, you will be using the command “sudo nmcli con modify XBLARGHX thing value“. The things (and sample values) are ipv4.addresses, 192.168.0.20; ipv4.gateway, 192.168.0.1; ipv4.dns, 8.8.8.8; ipv4.method, manual. Being able to specify each thing on each interface can allow you to do tricky fun stuff, like creating private networks off the internet.
Anyway, I gave AA the necessary links to blend in…..and then burrowed into the dust-filled rats’ nest of cables and connections where it needs to live among the printers. It all looks like it’s connected there, but my main systems cannot ping it yet, so there’s work yet to be done.
Once I can ping it, I can login to it with its laptop and start teaching it about its new environment, starting with printers. Right now, however, I’m concentrating on coughing up phlegm. I’ll start again in the morning.
If you’re thinking, “he traced the cable and it doesn’t ping” — it wouldn’t surprise me much to trace it into a router where the four LAN ports assign IP addresses 192.168.0.x, 192.168.1.x, 192.168.2.x, and 192.168.3.x. (Yes, even many cheap home routers can do this.)
Each router port would then have a downstream switch to handle communications between computers on that port. That way, doing a backup between two computers on the 192.168.2.x port switch will consume no router bandwidth on the 192.168.3.x port that is streaming off the internet.
I don’t anticipate that it will be rocket surgery to debug, but just getting all the cables plugged-in gave me a snootful of dust.

The solution then would be the unprecedented move of either having the states reps from his district to vote not to accept the resignation or gather signatures from his district to not accept the resignation.

The judge in GA has created huge problems for himself. He’s admitting that Fani LIED IN OPEN COURT, yet tries to do some bizarre Solomon thing to split the baby. Either she goes or Wade goes.
He’s doing this to avoid the obvious problem: they’re both liars and both were involved in the fraudulent indictment and fraudulent charges against Trump and Friends.
He know s the entire case should be tossed and a mistrial declared. But he’s a left-wing ideologue, and it would end his political aspirations. No more parties with the cool people. His kids might have to go to Cornell, or even *gasp* a state school!
Fani didn’t lie small. She lied big. That’s the problem the judge has because the foundation of the case, really any case, is the idea that the prosecutors aren’t outright liars. He’s now going to be faced with rulings later as to whether either Fani or Wade can be called as witnesses for the Defense in their own case.

Turley says that in some ways this judgment could appeal to the Trump team because it leaves a “wounded Willis.” Also, the State of Georgia is investigating Willis. Trump’s team can now question her credibility.
Another guest stated that if the Georgia Senate gets hold of the thousands of text messages between Willis and Wade, then Judge McAfee might end up revisiting the same issues.
IMO, this looks as if it was the easy(er) way out for the judge. The wrongdoing was so blatant that he had to do something, but he avoided the risk of having his house burned down or career ended before it started by throwing a rope to Fani.
Fani is damaged goods, and the Trump team can milk that for all it’s worth. She should remove herself from the case, or be removed by whoever would be in charge of doing that. I think that would delay everything, so they won’t want to do it, but the whole thing is a big mess now and Fani and company have completely lost momentum.
Andrew Weissmann was apoplectic on Friday, demanding Willis recuse herself from the case.
He knows the case will be smoldering soon. His was a dog whistle to Band-Aid this immediately.

Overall, I found the decision well-written and well-reasoned, even if I disagreed with how the judge weighted certain things. (At one point, I noted the judge cited the Federalist papers, a sign of intelligence.) His baby-splitting remedy was driven by the legal distinction between the lack of an actual conflict of interest while finding the appearance of a conflict of interest.
The case law provides different, less severe, remedies under the “appearance” standard. Most importantly, the judge cited a Georgia Supreme Court case saying he was required to consider a “range” of remedies, reserving disqualification or dismissal for only the most extreme cases where no other remedy will fix the problem.
Having done that much, the judge didn’t do Fani any other favors. After reiterating that his hands were tied because he couldn’t find an actual conflict on the presented evidence, he commented rather extensively on Fani’s repeated bad choices and the ethical issues. He stopped short of accusing Fani and Nathan of lying, but said it sure smelled like lying to him:
This finding is by no means an indication that the Court condones this tremendous lapse in judgment or the unprofessional manner of the District Attorney’s testimony during the evidentiary hearing. Rather, it is the undersigned’s opinion that Georgia law does not permit the finding of an actual conflict for simply making bad choices – even repeatedly – and it is the trial court’s duty to confine itself to the relevant issues and applicable law properly brought before it. Other forums or sources of authority such as the General Assembly, the Georgia State Ethics Commission, the State Bar of Georgia, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, or the voters of Fulton County may offer feedback on any unanswered questions that linger.
Wade’s patently unpersuasive explanation for the inaccurate interrogatories he submitted in his pending divorce indicates a willingness on his part to wrongly conceal his relationship with the District Attorney.
An odor of mendacity remains. The Court is not under an obligation to ferret out every instance of potential dishonesty from each witness or defendant ever presented in open court. Such an expectation would mean an end to the efficient disposition of criminal and civil proceedings. Yet reasonable questions about whether the District Attorney and her hand-selected lead SADA testified untruthfully about the timing of their relationship further underpin the finding of an appearance of impropriety and the need to make proportional efforts to cure it.
Both sides will appeal this ruling. By forcing Fani to quit or fire Nathan — which he knows she won’t do until she completes the appeal — the judge just deadlocked and effectively stayed the case until all appellate options have been exhausted. And once that process completes, assuming Fani survives all the other attacks coming her way outside the courtroom, then she will still have to deal with the dismissal of six key counts that the Judge entered two days ago.
Thus, there is now zero chance of a trial before the November elections. And Trump still has a pending presidential immunity defense percolating through the Supreme Court that could knock the case out in the meantime while it sits idle.
So I will go out on a limb and say, in my opinion, this very smart judge was playing four-D chess. This decision, though disappointing in the short term, might be much better in the long term than an outright disqualification would have been. Disqualification and dismissal are extreme remedies that would have been vulnerable to reversal by the wrong appellate panel. And it leaves a badly-injured DA floundering around the case.
Judge McAfee is heading for an appellate court appointment regardless of what happens in his election.
