2024·04·13 Joe Biden Didn’t Win Daily Thread

What is it that feeds our battle, yet starves our victory?

January 6 Tapes?

Paging Speaker Johnson…this is your conscience calling you out on broken promises.

For all your high talk about your Christian moral background…you’re looking less and less like you have any kind of moral background.

If You are a Patriot and Don’t Loathe RINOs…

Let’s talk about RINOs, and why they are the lowest form of life in politics.

Many patriots have been involved with politics, often at the grassroots, for decades. We’ve fought, and fought, and fought and won the occasional illusory small victory.

Yet we can’t seem to win the war, even when we have BIG electoral wins.

I am reminded of something. The original Star Trek had an episode titled Day of the Dove. It was one of the better episodes from the third season, but any fan of the original series will tell you that’s a very low bar. Still, it seems to get some respect; at a time when there were about 700 episodes of Star Trek in its various incarnations out there, it was voted 99th best out of the top 100.

In sum, the plot is that an alien entity has arranged for 39 Enterprise crew, and 39 Klingons, to fight each other endlessly with swords and other muscle-powered weapons. The entity lives off of hostile emotions, you see and it wants a captive food source. (The other 400 or so Enterprise crew are trapped below decks and unable to help.) Each side has its emotions played and amplified by the alien entity; one Enterprise junior officer has false memories implanted of a brother who was killed by Klingons. The brother didn’t even exist.

Even people killed in a sword fight miraculously heal so they can go do it again.

The second best line of the episode is when Kang, the Klingon captain, notes that though they have won quite a number of small victories including capturing Engineering, can’t seem to actually finally defeat the Enterprise crew. He growls, “What power is it that feeds our battle yet starves our victory?*”

Indeed. He may have been the bad guy, but his situation should sound familiar.

We are a majority in this country. We have a powerful political party in our corner. There is endless wrangling.

And yet,

What power is it that feeds our battle yet starves our victory?

In our case, that power is the RINOs in our midst. They specialize in caving when on the verge of victory. Think of Obamacare’s repeal failing…by one Republican vote. Think of the way we can never seem to get spending under control (and now our entire tax revenue goes to pay interest on the debt; anything the government actually does now is with borrowed money).

We have a party…that refuses to do what we want it to do, and that refusal is institutionalized. If you’ve been involved with GOP politics, but haven’t seen this, it’s because you refuse to see it. Or because you are part of the problem yourself. (If so, kindly gargle some red fuming nitric acid to clear the taste of shit out of your mouth, and let those not part of the problem alone so they can read this.)

We fight to elect people, who then take a dive when in office. But it’s not just the politicians in office, it’s the people behind the scenes, the leaders of the national, state and county branches of the party. Their job is to ensure that real patriots never get onto the general election ballot. They’re allowed a few failures…who can then become token conservatives who will somehow never manage to win (Jordan), or can be compromised outright (Lauren Boebert?).

That way it doesn’t actually matter who has a congressional majority. I remember my excitement when the GOP took the Senate in 1980. But all that did was empower a bunch of “moderate” puddles of dog vomit like…well for whatever reason forty years later the most memorable name is Pete Domenici. And a couple of dozen other “moderates” who simply had no interest in doing what grassroots people in their party–those same grassroots people who had worked so hard to elect them–wanted them to do.

Oh, they’ll put up a semblance of a fight…but never win. And they love it when we fight the Dems instead of fighting them. Just like that alien entity, whose motto surely was “Let’s you and him fight. It’ll be delicious!”

If you think about it, your entire political involvement has come to nothing because of these walking malignant tumors.

That should make you good and mad.

The twenty five who blocked Jordan, and the hundred people who took that opportunity to stab Jordan in the back in the secret ballot should make you good and mad.

I’ll close this with another example of RINO backstabbing, an infuriating one close to home.

In my county, the GOP chair is not a RINO. She got elected when the grassroots had had enough of the RINOs. Unfortunately the state organization is full of RINOs, and the ousted county RINOs have been trying to form a new “Republican Party” and get the state GOP to recognize them as the affiliate. I’m honestly amazed it hasn’t happened yet.

In other words those shitstains won’t just leave when they get booted out; they’ll try to destroy what they left behind. It’s an indication that they know we know how important that behind-the-scenes party power is.

So they must be destroyed. That’s the only way they’ll ever stop.

We cannot win until the leeches “on our side” get destroyed.

What power is it that feeds our battle yet starves our victory?*

We know it. What is going to be done about it?

*NOTE: The original line was actually “What power is it that supports our battle yet starves our victory.” I had mis-remembered it as feeds. When I checked it, it sure enough was “supports” and that’s what I originally quoted. On further reflection, though, I realized my memory was actually an improvement over the reality, because feeds is a perfect contrast with starves. I changed it partway through the day this originally posted, but now (since this is a re-run) it gets rendered this way from the start.

If one must do things wrong, one should do them wrong…right.

RINOs an Endangered Species?
If Only!

According to Wikipoo, et. al., the Northern White Rhinoceros (Ceratotherium simum cottoni) is a critically endangered species. Apparently two females live on a wildlife preserve in Sudan, and no males are known to be alive. So basically, this species is dead as soon as the females die of old age. Presently they are watched over by armed guards 24/7.

Biologists have been trying to cross them with the other subspecies, Southern White Rhinoceroses (Rhinoceri?) without success; and some genetic analyses suggest that perhaps they aren’t two subspecies at all, but two distinct species, which would make the whole project a lot more difficult.

I should hope if the American RINO (Parasitus rectum pseudoconservativum) is ever this endangered, there will be heroic efforts not to save the species, but rather to push the remainder off a cliff. Onto punji sticks. With feces smeared on them. Failing that a good bath in red fuming nitric acid will do.

But I’m not done ranting about RINOs.

The RINOs (if they are capable of any introspection whatsoever) probably wonder why they constantly have to deal with “populist” eruptions like the Trump-led MAGA movement. That would be because the so-called populists stand for absolutely nothing except for going along to get along. That allows the Left to drive the culture and politics.

Given the results of our most recent elections, the Left will now push harder, and the RINOs will now turn even squishier than they were before.

I well remember 1989-1990 in my state when the RINO establishment started preaching the message that a conservative simply couldn’t win in Colorado. Never mind the fact that Reagan had won the state TWICE (in 1984 bringing in a veto-proof state house and senate with him) and GHWB had won after (falsely!) assuring everyone that a vote for him was a vote for Reagan’s third term.

This is how the RINOs function. They push, push, push the line that only a “moderate” can get elected. Stomp them when they pull that shit. Tell everyone in ear shot that that’s exactly what the Left wants you to think, and oh-by-the-way-Mister-RINO if you’re in this party selling the same message as the Left…well, whythefuckexactly are you in this party, you lying piece of rancid weasel shit?

Justice

It says “Justice” on the picture.

And I’m sure someone will post the standard joke about what the fish thinks about the situation.

But what is it?

Here’s a take, from a different context: It’s about how you do justice, not the justice that must be done to our massively corrupt government and media. You must properly identify the nature of a person, before you can do him justice.

Ayn Rand, On Justice (speaking through her character John Galt, in Atlas Shrugged):

Justice is the recognition of the fact that you cannot fake the character of men as you cannot fake the character of nature, that you must judge all men as conscientiously as you judge inanimate objects, with the same respect for truth, with the same incorruptible vision, by as pure and as rational a process of identification—that every man must be judged for what he is and treated accordingly, that just as you do not pay a higher price for a rusty chunk of scrap than for a piece of shining metal, so you do not value a rotter above a hero—that your moral appraisal is the coin paying men for their virtues or vices, and this payment demands of you as scrupulous an honor as you bring to financial transactions—that to withhold your contempt from men’s vices is an act of moral counterfeiting, and to withhold your admiration from their virtues is an act of moral embezzlement—that to place any other concern higher than justice is to devaluate your moral currency and defraud the good in favor of the evil, since only the good can lose by a default of justice and only the evil can profit—and that the bottom of the pit at the end of that road, the act of moral bankruptcy, is to punish men for their virtues and reward them for their vices, that that is the collapse to full depravity, the Black Mass of the worship of death, the dedication of your consciousness to the destruction of existence.

Ayn Rand identified seven virtues, chief among them rationality. The other six, including justice, she considered subsidiary because they are essentially different aspects and applications of rationality.

—Ayn Rand Lexicon (aynrandlexicon.com)

Justice Must Be Done.

Trump, it is supposed, had some documents.

Biden and company stole the country.

I’m sure enough of this that I put my money where my mouth is.

The prior election must be acknowledged as fraudulent, and steps must be taken to prosecute the fraudsters and restore integrity to the system. (This doesn’t necessarily include deposing Joe and Hoe and putting Trump where he belongs, but it would certainly be a lot easier to fix our broken electoral system with the right people in charge.)

Nothing else matters at this point. Talking about trying again in 2024 or 2026 is pointless otherwise. Which is not to say one must never talk about this, but rather that one must account for this in ones planning; if fixing the fraud in the system is not part of the plan, you have no plan.

This will necessarily be piecemeal, state by state, which is why I am encouraged by those states working to change their laws to alleviate the fraud both via computer and via bogus voters. If enough states do that we might end up with a working majority in Congress and that would be something Trump never really had.

Lawyer Appeasement Section

OK now for the fine print.

This is the WQTH Daily Thread. You know the drill. There’s no Poltical correctness, but civility is a requirement. There are Important Guidelines,  here, with an addendum on 20191110.

We have a new board – called The U Tree – where people can take each other to the woodshed without fear of censorship or moderation.

And remember Wheatie’s Rules:

1. No food fights
2. No running with scissors.
3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.
4. Zeroth rule of gun safety: Don’t let the government get your guns.
5. Rule one of gun safety: The gun is always loaded.
5a. If you actually want the gun to be loaded, like because you’re checking out a bump in the night, then it’s empty.
6. Rule two of gun safety: Never point the gun at anything you’re not willing to destroy.
7. Rule three: Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire.
8. Rule the fourth: Be sure of your target and what is behind it.

(Hmm a few extras seem to have crept in.)

Spot Prices

Last week:

Gold $2,330.20
Silver $27.54
Platinum $936.00
Palladium $1,026.00
Rhodium $5,150.00

This week, at Friday close:

Gold $2,343.90
Silver $27.94
Platinum $984.00
Palladium $1,072.00
Rhodium $5,200.00

Everything up. But this hides the real drama.

Earlier in the day on Friday, gold was over $2400 and silver touched $29. Then towards the end of the day both of them cratered, hard, ending up down for the day (gold down 25 bucks instead of up $35 or so, silver similar). But do note that silver is continuing to show signs of life.

China is in the White House, because Joe Biden is in the White House, and Joe Biden is identically equal to China. China is Asshoe. Therefore, Joe Biden is Asshoe.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13293449/amp/DC-National-Guard-whistleblowers-say-ready-deployed-January-6-Trumps-orders-hours-held-Pentagon-bombshell-testimony-contradicting-Capitol-riot-committees-story.html

Whistleblowers from the Washington D.C. National Guard will tell Congress that Donald Trump did want them deployed during the Capitol riot and the Army delayed telling them to mobilize in a bombshell hearing next week.

DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal that at least three officers will appear Wednesday before a House subcommittee to claim their stories were also ignored by the Democrat-led January 6committee, because it didn’t fit their narrative.

The hearing will aim to further prove that Acting Defense Secretary at the time Christopher Miller did give advance approval of D.C. National Guard deployment at the direction of then-President Donald Trump.

A person familiar with the review by the House Administration Committee’s Oversight Subcommittee said the whistleblowers will provide testimony that then-Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy delayed by at least two hours providing official notice to D.C. National Guard Commander William Walker to deploy troops to the Capitol.

Instead of getting to the bottom of the breakdown in communication and focusing on improving Military preparedness for future incidents, the witnesses feel the January 6 panel was solely focused on pinning blame for the events that day on Trump.

The officers, who were with Walker the day of the Capitol riot, will detail how they were on buses in full tactical gear for hours waiting for the go-ahead from the Army.

McCarthy has stated under oath that he did give a timely order for deployment of the D.C. National Guard – but Walker’s troops said they found out about mobilization during a press conference, which led to a three-hour-and-19-minute delay of forces arriving at the Capitol.

Some suggest that McCarthy was vying for a spot in President Joe Biden’s incoming administration and didn’t like the optics of it looking like the Army, under his command, was trying to interfere or inhibit certification of the 2020 presidential election results.

The hearing on Wednesday is titled ‘Three Years Later: D.C. National Guard Whistleblowers Speak Out on January 6 Delay’ and aims to examine whether Trump was at fault for the delay in National Guard deployment.

Additionally, the whistleblowers will reveal how the January 6 Committee did not want to hear their testimony because it corroborated Trump and his allies’ claims that the former president did authorize the National Guard days in advance to respond to any violence or unrest on January 6, 2021.

Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.) is chairman of the Oversight Subcommittee, which is tasked with reviewing the January 6 Committee’s investigation into the Capitol riot.

Last month, Loudermilk released a transcript of a never-before-seen interview with Tony Ornato, the man in charge of Trump’s security detail on January 6, 2021. In the interview with the panel, Ornato confirmed that Trump did authorize the National Guard for mobilization and deployment to D.C. that day.

The bombshell release of that interview reveals flaws in the January 6 committee’s argument that Trump wanted to stoke chaos that day by not allowing National Guard troops to respond to the scene at the Capitol.

Loudermilk’s panel is concerned with making sure that security of the U.S. Capitol complex is nonpartisan and that readiness is not affected by partisan politics.

Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund and DC National Guard leader Maj. Gen. Walker said that Army Lt. Gen. Walter Piatt (ret.), who was Army Staff Director at the time of the riot, delayed or ignored Sund’s request for National Guard support.

They accused Piatt of saying: ‘I don’t like the visual of the National Guard standing a police line with the Capitol in the background.’

The D.C. National Guard whistleblowers will be able during Wednesday’s hearing to corroborate this despite Piatt testifying under oath that he never mentioned optics.

DC_Draino:

Few people realize what FL Rep @realannapaulina did today

The FISA bill was passed by the House without extra warrant protections to stop the FBI from spying on Americans

So Rep. Luna requested a very rare procedural maneuver to force a re-vote on Monday and it worked

Remember, the warrant amendment failed by only 1 vote and a GOP Rep was out with the flu today

Rep. Luna may have just singlehandedly saved American civil liberties

The fight continues Monday…

TheseTruths

I guess this is the one Repub referred to.

Congresswoman Debbie Lesko:

I am very disappointed that I was unable to be in Washington, D.C. today due to having the flu. Had I been able to vote, I would not have supported today’s FISA reauthorization without protections against warrantless searches of U.S. citizens’ communications in the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) 702 database.

cthulhu

Well, looks like Rep. Luna saved your butt from being reckoned among the traitors. Best get in there Monday and do the right thing — and thank her along the way.

scott467

I’ve never had the flu so bad I couldn’t show up if the fate of the entire Republic depended on it.

Aubergine

Well, pull your ass out of bed and go vote!

I’m sorry, but unless you are literally hospitalized, I have no sympathy for this shit. Maybe even IF you are hospitalized you should go vote.

Demoncrats would attempt to levitate a dead Congressman into the chambers to win against Americans. Repukes need to grow some balls.

pat frederick

do they now disallow remote voting???

kalbokalbs

IIRC, that was a Piglosi thing, which Kevin did away. Gotta show to vote.

pat frederick

ahhh…thanks!

Aubergine

Only for Republicans, most likely.

Valerie Curren

McShame/McStain?

Aubergine

Yep.

TheseTruths

Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna (Rep-FL) forcing a procedural vote on FISA which requires another vote before it goes to the Senate. Who are the 86 Republicans who betrayed us and why do the women Republicans have more balls and are less compromised than the male Republicans?

Here are their names (posted by pat frederick yesterday):

I’ve seen headlines about this debate but I hadn’t watched it. This one-minute clip is priceless, IMO.

I hope they make great movies and put the evil and woke producers out of business.

pgroup2

They will.

scott467

Good to see them take a public stand.

Just being a public voice of opposition to the repulsive rot all around them, a contrast to the rot, will make the rot all the more apparent to the public.

Aubergine

Never underestimate Sylvester Stallone.

His story about making “Rocky” is one of my favorites. As a pretty much unknown actor, and completely broke to the point selling his dog so it could eat, Stallone wrote the script. When he got it in front of producers, he wanted to play Rocky himself. The producers wanted a “name” actor like Burt Reynolds. They offered totally broke Stallone $360,000 for the script.

Stallone said no, he had to be in it. He held out, and eventually the producers gave him a million bucks to make the film himself. He directed it, used friends and family, and got it made for that puny budget.

Rocky received nine Oscar nominations and won three, including Best Picture. And it is still one of my favorite films of all time.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/tomward/2017/08/29/the-amazing-story-of-the-making-of-rocky/?sh=63b82d48560b

People have wrongly associated his characters, like Rocky and Rambo, with his true self.
Stallone is an art collector, and a genius. This will be great.

Aubergine

I like The Expendables, too. They are funny.

Valerie Curren

Yep. They get sporadic play at my home too 🙂

Valerie Curren

Stallone is also the parent of an autistic child, something I can relate to…for some reason such details stick with me, even w/ my sieve-like brain of late….

Ran into this the other night….almost three hours of pure survival skills…..

pgroup2

How many people on this blog do you suppose have lives sufficiently empty in order to enable them to watch this?

Get real, friend.

cthulhu

Well, we’re all here, ain’t we?

Besides which, there is much to learn and think about just in watching bits at a time. This was life for much of the world not too long ago…..urbanites may think of farmers just watching plants grow, but there is constant work involved — and serious knowledge put into every part of it. She is in the midst of resources and diligently improves them — I’d probably starve to death.

Gotta wonder about her cameraman, though.

You certainly generated a fun little impish thread there :wpds_lol:

Tonawanda

My life is sufficiently empty, and after watching a small part look forward to watching the rest. I hope that does not bother you.

kalbokalbs

The latter, never a concern. Much less a thought.

Looking forward to my empty life moving in that direction.

pgroup2

No, of course not.

I was just having a little fun at the expense of one of our more sensitive guys. 😆

Valerie Curren

I sent it to some family members who might be interested. Hubby & I just watched another Alone episode so we enjoy contemplating extreme survival scenarios…

I don’t know what ‘jurisdiction’ there is to challenge.

The jurisdiction of the WHO literally extends to the property line of whatever building they rent for their HQ, so long as they are in accordance with all laws governing the jurisdiction where their HQ is located.

And that’s it.

They have zero jurisdiction anywhere.

They are not a state, they are not elected, they have no military to defend themselves or enforce anything.

They’re glorified city council members, without even a city 😂

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

During the second day of the civil trial, Carroll had told the federal court in lower Manhattan that she kept a “high standard revolver, nine chambers” at home with ammunition. “By my bed,” she said.
“I still do not have a license,” Carroll added.
John Rader, the reporting officer, said in his report that he “offered to secure the weapon at the police station’s property for safekeeping.”…..
…….Under New York state law, a person can be found guilty of criminal possession if they possess a firearm, such as a pistol, that has not been registered. The felony carries a maximum sentence of four years.

He had started to climb the stairs and wouldn’t take no for an answer so i pulled out my phone and dialed 911. i told the operator I had a man and a woman trying to enter my home.
they fled.
the cop who showed up asked for the name they gave me and when i told him, he said they lived in the area a ways back–not here but somewhere in the township. they have always been in trouble with the law and if i see the car again (which i had on my phone) call them immediately.
since then when i go out on the deck i retrieve my cheetah first

No cause given.
26 barges break loose and float down Ohio River, causing damage and prompting bridge closures in Pittsburgh, officials say
13 Apr 2024
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/26-barges-break-loose-and-float-down-ohio-river-causing-damage-and-prompting-bridge-closures-in-pittsburgh-officials-say/ar-BB1ly2cv
A marina in Pittsburgh sustained extensive damage after 26 barges, most of which were loaded with dry cargo, broke loose late Friday night and floated uncontrolled down the Ohio River, according to authorities.
Two Pittsburgh-area bridges about 2.5 miles apart were closed after the barges broke free.
The McKees Rocks Bridge was shut down out of “an abundance of caution,” McKees Rocks police said shortly after midnight.
[snip]
The shuttered bridges will be reopened when “it is determined that it is safe to do so,” authorities said.
The bridge closures come just two weeks after the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore collapsed when it was struck by a cargo vessel, killing six construction workers and leaving commuters and workers in limbo.

Aubergine

Yeah, just magically “broke loose,” all at the same time, and floated away.

Also, I own the McKees Rocks Bridge, and it is for sale, if anyone would like to buy it.

pat frederick

we could trade!!! I own the Brooklyn Bridge in NY!!!
what a coincidence!
LOL

Aubergine

It’s a deal!

PAVACA

IMO, THIS WAS A DELIBERATE ACT.

Yours Truly grew up in Pittsburgh. Used to own a few rental properties in the West End / Sheraden areas of Pittsburgh. Had family who lived in Sheraden. Know those areas like the back of my hand.

The West End Bridge is a MAJOR conduit between downtown Pittsburgh, the West End, and the North Side .
The McKees Rocks Bridge is a MAJOR conduit between the West End, Neville Township, Bellevue, and points northwest of downtown Pittsburgh.
The roads in these areas are mostly 2-lane, already-heavily traveled roads.
Closing the above two bridges for ANY amount of time will cause MAJOR NEGATIVE EFFECTS on the roads.

Brunot’s Island (where the RAIL LINE was also shut down) is an industrial area. Big electrical power station, a meat-processing plant, etc. MAJOR NEGATIVE IMPACT here since the rail link to Brunot’s Island is crucial. THE ONLY WAY VEHICULAR TRAFFIC CAN GET ON AND OFF BRUNOT’S ISLAND IS TO USE A FERRY. EMPLOYEES WHO WORK ON BRUNOT’S ISLAND CAN ONLY GET THERE BY A WALKWAY UNDERNEATH THE RAILWAY BRIDGE AFTER PARKING THEIR CARS ON THE LAND ACROSS FROM THE ISLAND. Since the railway to the island is now closed, I don’t know how employees will get on and off the island, unless they also use the ferry.

Peggy’s Harbor, also hit by the loose barges, was pretty much destroyed. It was a great place to store sailboats and power boats. People would store their boats there in between sailing on the Ohio River, the Allegheny River, and the Monogahela River (the Allegheny and the Monogahela join in The Point in Pittsburgh to form the Ohio River.)

FOURTEEN of the loose barges CONTINUED to float down the Ohio River before GOING OVER THE EMSWORTH DAM, likely heavily damaging that area.

thanks for the information PAVACA!

Deplorable Patriot

I agree on sabotage. I’ve lived less than 30 miles from the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers, and less than ten from the latter, most of my life. Barge traffic is constant on both rivers unless there is a severe flood (1993), the rivers are frozen over (it happens), or we are in severe drought conditions. I’ve NEVER heard of that many barges getting loose all at once. Every now and then, one will get loose, but never what sounds like two loads. Tugs here don’t push more than a dozen just for this reason.

I guess the people on the rivers are going to have to really watch out.

PAVACA

IMO, that’s in the same category as “The doctors as baffled.” Blame it on something else than what it most likely is.
Makes no sense to say, “Blame heavy rain and flooding.” Standard operating procedure for docked vessels,is to INCREASE anchorage / docking lines safety in bad weather.

Last edited 7 months ago by PAVACA
pat frederick

something that might seem right if you didn’t know anything about the area or boats.

PAVACA

There’s another aspect to this situation:

The City of Pittsburgh, and the adjacent areas for about a 20-mile radius, have really never recovered from the loss of the steel mills between 1978 – 1988. The steel industry was the “life blood” of the entire area. Untold numbers of small businesses of all types “spun off” the steel industry in the area. When the mills shut down, massive amounts of the population simply moved away. There’s actually a name for it: “The Pittsburgh Diaspora.”
Add in the fact that the area has been basically a DemCommunist fiefdom for DECADES. Republicans make it their business to “go along to get along.”
Whatever goods are still being hauled on river barges on the three rivers that comprise the waterway “life blood” of the area (the Allegheny, the Monogahela, and the Ohio rivers) will now likely have to be off-loaded onto rail and truck transportation to points further down the Ohio River, then be re-loaded onto barges from there. MAJOR DISRUPTION AND LOGISTICAL HEADACHE FOR AN INDEFINITE AMOUNT OF TIME.
Here’s what Yours Truly predicts:
“President Biden” will promise, at some point, that the federal government will pay for the rebuilding of the West End Bridge, the McKees Rocks Bridge, and the Emsworth Dam and Locks. Got to keep the Pittsburgh area voting DemCommunist!
What about federal money rebuilding Peggy’s Harbor? IMO, the feds won’t do a thing since it’s a private company.

Please

Didn’t 45 get a steel mill in P-burgh fired back up during his admin?

PAVACA

Please
From what Yours Truly can find, this didn’t happen. The mill in question is the old Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel mill in Monessen, PA (about 20 miles from Pittsburgh.)

Julie Kelly on twitter:
One thing I find amusing as a reporter on the *right* actively covering J6 and Trump related court proceedings is seeing what corporate news reporters omit from their articles.
For example, I don’t see any coverage of Jay Bratt (Jack Smith prosecutor) apparently admitting yesterday that the government does not think it will have to prove that classified records were in the boxes moved by Trump’s co-defendants.
Bratt said with one exception–a photo in the indictment that allegedly shows a classified file spilled from a box in the storage room–DOJ is not aware of the presence of classified records in any box moved or handled by Walt Nauta or Carlos De Olivera.
This is CENTRAL to the obstruction charges against both men and Trump.
I also don’t see any reports about Judge Cannon’s frustration bordering on anger about secrecy out of the DC court. For the most part, corporate media ignores the fact that the entire investigation was run out of Washington–including grand jury proceedings–then switched to Florida, the appropriate jurisdiction, at the last minute to get indictments.
Cannon told DOJ yesterday things were happening behind the scenes (DC court) she was not privy to. She denounced the “secrecy” of grand jury proceedings and materials by DOJ and DC court.
One defense attorney filed a request at DC court asking the judge to docket classified docs related grand jury materials. The court denied that request but Cannon wants to see what the court refused to make available.
Even the reporting on Nauta’s FBI interview. No outrage that the FBI once again lured a Trump confidant into a perjury trap under the guise of “helping” the government?
No outrage that the FBI did not work through the Trump legal team–as it ALREADY WAS–to notify the former president that agents planned to interrogate one of his most trusted aides not just about classified files but Trump’s personal habits and private conversations? Or that the FBI clearly was attempting to flip Nauta by playing on his loyalties to the military as a recently retired Naval officer?
Just some observations…column on hearing and recent filings up soon!

America under the FJB Administration. This one is funny…until it’s not. What happens when the 12+ Million illegals can no longer get free everything? I’m not looking forward to finding out.
“Illegal Alien Tries to Rob Bank in Ohio Using a Translator App Because He Couldn’t Figure Out How to Say “Put the Money in the Bag” (VIDEO)”
Excerpts:
This is certainly a first for us,” Chief Oliver commented to FOX 8. “In my over 20 years of law enforcement, I’ve never seen someone attempt to use a translator app as a means to commit a crime like this.”
Upon his arrest, a Spanish-speaking officer communicated with Brito-Gonzalez, who revealed that he had recently lost his job and was in desperate need of money. Despite his dire financial situation, Brito-Gonzalez denied any intention of robbing the bank, claiming instead that he had merely asked the bank to give him money.

TheseTruths

This is at least the third story or headline I’ve seen today that leaves me thinking that’s not how Americans think or act. Americans know that banks don’t give out money. And if the guy was making it up, Americans know you can’t get away with that either, because it’s not how things work here.

Americans also know that you can’t stand up in a meeting and threaten death to those with whom you disagree.

The open border is bringing in people who are changing the culture of the nation. Political correctness that forces people to accept and even coddle deviancy is doing the same. That’s why MAGA and “America first” are so important.

“Ukrainian men are crossing the border illegally by the thousands to escape the war, writes the New York Times. They prefer to “risk swimming” and even drowning while crossing rivers in western Ukraine than to fight.

“Given the high level of casualties, being drafted into the army is like getting a one-way ticket to the front,” the newspaper writes, citing Ukrainian soldiers.

Romanian authorities say more than 6,000 men have swam to their banks of the Tisza River since the Russian invasion.

“But not everyone succeeds. The bodies of 22 men washed up on both banks,” said press secretary of the Mukachevo border detachment Lesya Fedorova. But, most likely, even more drowned, which is why the Tisza received the nickname “river of death.”

The exodus of draft dodgers has changed the nature of smuggling in the Carpathians, which once revolved around counterfeit cigarettes. Now it has almost completely become a business of transporting men. According to Fedorova, last year the Mukachevo border detachment dispersed 56 such groups.

Prices for border crossing assistance have risen to $10,000 per person, up from $2,000 since the invasion began. Smugglers began hiring local Roma guides to take the men abroad.

To counter this, border guards installed additional infrared cameras and footstep sensors along the border, Lieutenant Fedorova said. There are also checkpoints on the roads leading to the border.”

In fairness to the lunatic, if she had said the same things to any conservative, the government would be holding her up as an example for others to follow.

The only reason they are throwing the book at her is because she had the audacity to confront the Tyrannical government.

It was clearly an emotional outburst, not a real or credible threat. Charging her with 16 felonies of terrorism against public officials is beyond overkill, it’s just the State abusing their power to eradicate dissent.

It was one ‘threat’ and apparently there were 16 council members present, so the State naturally goes full-Hitler and charges her with what will amount to multiple life sentences because of a single angry emotional outburst.

That’s not America, not even close. Not even Cold War era Soviet Union was that tyrannical.

Meanwhile, gang members with tattoos all over their faces with multiple rapes and murders to their credit are set free without bail.

There is no sense of proportion, or exercise of rational judgment in the gov’t response to this lunatic woman, there is only “utterly crush any and all dissent” that is directed at the tyranny, while encouraging violence toward the public by rewarding real dangerous criminals by not even charging them.

BRAZIL SHOULD TERRIFY YOU

Just a day and a half ago, it seemed like things were calming in Brazil. The Folha de São Paulo, the New York Times of Brazil, editorialized against censorship. The head of the Brazilian Bar Association gave a strong statement in support of freedom of expression. And the President of Brazil’s Supreme Court said the conflict between Brazil and X, formerly known as Twitter, was over. “People talk a big game but don’t act on their words,” he said

All of that has once again changed. Yesterday, Brazil’s President Lula called for criminalizing lying. Given that everybody lies, Lula is proposing to give the government the power to arrest anyone he wants. Thousands of Workers Party activists took to X yesterday to demand that I be arrested for things I said during my testimony before the Brazilian Senate. And today, the head of X in Brazil announced they have quit out fear for their safety.

I am not afraid for myself. As I said on X a few days ago, I fear neither the devil nor de Moraes, the Supreme Court justice rapidly turning himself into Brazil’s dictator. I am taking all necessary precautions to ensure that I can leave Brazil safely and without being arrested. You can help by sharing this video and spreading the word about what is happening here.

And yet, what is happening in Brazil terrifies me nonetheless. I love this country and its people and fear that it is on the cusp of totalitarianism. A significant share of the Left wants to incarcerate their political enemies. Respected Brazilian journalists say with a straight face that the government must engage in mass censorship in order to protect democracy. Brazil is everything that George Orwell feared and worse. The Brazilian government appears to view “1984” not as a dystopia to avoid but rather as a guide to a better future.

I would be less worried if Brazil were small and irrelevant, but it’s not. Brazil is the largest and most important nation in Latin America. Just this week, top Brazilian government representatives were in China talking about how China, one of the most totalitarian nations in the world, is a model for Brazil. Brazil is an inspiration for European totalitarians who have weaponized government intelligence agencies to spread disinformation about their political enemies and are implementing a censorship system to control the entire Internet.

The most terrifying part of all of this is the marriage of psychopathic government leaders like Lula and de Moraes with totalitarian activists and voters. Governments have successfully brainwashed a significant percentage of the population into supporting mass censorship. Young adults raised on social media are today more intolerant than the students in China’s Cultural Revolution in China who denounced their teachers and sent them off to work camps to be tortured.

At the same time, people with a mentality no different from the people who ran the Stasi and the Gestapo are in charge of intelligence agencies in Europe and the United States.

Yesterday, the U.S. House of Representatives renewed legislation that gives the US government the right to spy on Americans suspected of collaborating with foreign governments. The result will be McCarthyism on steroids. The FBI will be able to spy on any American citizen who dares to criticize the war in Ukraine. The US government will label people who oppose endless wars in Eurasia as “political extremists,” ruining their careers, or worse.

During the rise of Communism and fascism in Europe, many Jews and other persecuted people could flee to the United States. Where will we flee if the United States continues down the road to totalitarianism? Not Europe. Not Brazil. Is any country safe in a world where every movement, transaction, and thought is being monitored?

I keep waiting for the downward spiral to hit bottom, and it never does. I am naturally optimistic, but sometimes, that means I have tended toward wishful thinking. Such wishful thinking is dangerous and irresponsible in moments like this one. So, too, is passivity.

We must act. That starts with standing up to the bullies, all of whom are cowards on the inside. Elon Musk stood up to the bully de Moraes last week and appears to be holding strong. Tonight, he will hold a Spaces with the controversial former president of Brazil, whom the Supreme Court has prevented from running for office again for another eight years.

My colleagues and I are building a new free-speech movement. All of the organizations we used to rely upon to defend human rights, including Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and ACLU, have been taken over by totalitarians demanding censorship. We are gathering in London in June. We are starting our own free-speech NGOs around the world.

We can’t do this alone. Please share this post, consider subscribing to my publication, Public, and make a donation. People are risking their lives to defend free speech for all human beings. You don’t need to risk yours, but we desperately need your help. Things won’t calm down until we stand up to the tyrants and remove every one of them from power.

All your protests are belong to us now.

Better start making direct appeals to the Brazilian military to follow the Egypt / Myanmar model.

The lawmakers’ claim, filed Sept. 28, 2023, argues the 2018 and 2022 state constitutional amendments regulating time, place, and manner of federal elections are legally null and void because they usurped the legislators’ constitutionally protected rights.

Plaintiffs include Republican Senators Jonathan Lindsey and Jim Runestad; Republican Representatives Steve Carra, James DeSana, Joseph Fox, Neil Friske, Matt Maddock, Angela Rigas, Joshua Schriver, and Rachelle Smit.

“The U.S. Constitution, Article I, Section 4 (the Elections Clause), requires state legislatures to regulate the times, places, and manner of federal elections. “However, the 2018 and 2022 constitutional amendments bypassed the state legislature and, in doing so, infringed on the legislators’ federally mandated constitutional authority.”

Representative Steve Carra (R), the House Freedom Caucus leader and a plaintiff in the case, disagreed with the judge’s decision and is optimistic the U.S. Supreme Court will hear the case. “If I, as a legislator, don’t have standing to say laws are being passed without legislature approval, then who does? The Elections Clause of the U.S. Constitution protects legislative authority to determine the times, places, and manner of elections.”

State Senator Jonathan Lindsey (R), also a plaintiff, concurred with Carra. “I disagree with the judge’s decision to deny my right as a legislator to protect the role granted to me by the U.S. Constitution. When a federal judge misuses their power by denying a valid case to be heard, it damages our entire body politic. I look forward to appealing this decision.”

Carra explained that the Founding Fathers feared the government would devolve into authoritarian rule. They wrote both the Elections Clause and the Electors Clause in Articles I and II of the Constitution of the United States, “specifically to put the power to protect elections in the hands of We the People through their locally elected state legislators.”

Erick Kaardal, who built his 30-year career based on suing the government for working people, explained, “Under the US Constitution’s Elections Clause, individual state legislators—not the group—have the federal right to vote on election laws subject to Congressionally-enacted laws. That power is supreme under the US Constitution. When those federal rights are violated by executive branch officials or otherwise, recourse to federal courts is necessary to protect the individual state legislators’ federal rights. The US District Court decision exclusively gives the Attorney General or the State legislature the right to sue. But reading the text of the Elections Clause shows the individual state legislators can sue too.” Kaardal, a partner in Mohrman, Kaardal & Erickson, P.A., is representing the case, along with Attorneys David A. Kallman and Stephen P. Kallman of the Great Lakes Justice Center.

State Senator Jim Runestad (R), a plaintiff in the case, emphasized the urgency of the Supreme Court’s ruling before the next election, saying, “It is extremely important to have these constitutional questions adjudicated as rapidly as possible. I am a firm believer in the Constitution. The people have a right to have this issue decided in a court of law, so everyone can have confidence that we are preserving civil rights and obeying the Constitution.”

The lawsuit (Case No. 1:23-cv-1025) was heard in the U.S. District Court Western District of Michigan, Southern Division, and names as defendants Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, and Jonathan Brater, Bureau of Elections.

At issue are constitutional amendments that ushered in the most dramatic changes to Michigan’s election laws in a decade.

“The non-legislatively adopted provisions allow same-day voter registrations without valid proof of identity, nine to 29 days of early in-person voting, private funding of election administration, and no-excuse absentee voting procedures. The adopted ballot proposals also changed in-person voting procedures and canvasser authority and created an independent redistricting commission.”

Carra maintains the amendment process was abused and “weaponized millions of dollars from out of state against the voting public of Michigan using deceptive tactics.” According to Ballotpedia, of the total $31.7 million spent to promote Proposal 2 in 2022, $23.6 million, 74% was from out of state. About half, $11.3 million, poured in from the Sixteen Thirty Fund, a 501(c)4 nonprofit based in Washington D.C. The George Soros Open Society Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit based in New York, accounted for $1.2 million.

In addition to hoping the Supreme Court will take the case and rule that the election amendments must be rescinded from the state constitution, Carra recommends that the legislature rescind all the laws it passed in order to implement the unlawfully enacted constitutional amendments. “The sheer fact that codifying into state law what was passed in an amendment by petition process carries far less political ramifications than enacting new statutes,” he said.

Earlier today I Finally got my taxes in the mail & also assisted half my kids in getting theirs done too. I despise the tyranny of confiscatory taxes, making us “free range slaves” as Gail likes to say, iirc.

https://soundmindinvesting.com/articles/promises-made-promises-broken-what-went-wrong-with-the-income-tax

“The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.” – The Sixteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, passed by Congress in 1909, ratified in 1913.

“The people who have incomes subject to tax under this law can not complain that we unduly burden them. The exemption of $128,000 leaves the man with an income of $256,000 to contribute only $3,900 [1.5%] to support the General Government…” – Sen. Joseph W. Bailey of Texas (D-Texas), one of the main sponsors of the bill.

Can you get the drift of what’s happening? A debate is taking place as to how much of a family’s income ($103,000 or $128,000) should be completely exempted from taxation. In other words, should the first $103,000 or $128,000 of family income be tax-free? They wanted to structure the tax so it wouldn’t apply to the basic level of income needed to give every American family “a proper standard of living.” The goal was to tax only “wealth and riches.”

As finally formulated, the first tax provided an exemption of $103,000. That eliminated virtually everyone at the time but the super-rich. In 1916, only four families out of every 1,000 paid any income taxes at all. And even then, the rates sound unbelievably low to today’s tax-weary ears.

Tax Rates in 1913 Dollars Tax Rates in 2019 Dollars
1% up to $20,000 1% up to $515,000
2% from $20,000 to $50,000 2% from $515,000 up to $1,285,000
3% from $50,000 to $75,000 3% from $1,285,000 up to $1,925,000
4% from $75,000 to $100,000 4% from $1,925,000 up to $2,570,000
5% from $100,000 to $250,000 5% from $2,570,000 up to $6,420,000
6% from $250,000 to $500,000 6% from $6,420,000 up to $12,840,000
7% over $500,000 7% over $12,840,000
Exemption for married couple: $4,000 Exemption for married couple: $103,000

VC here, if they stuck to those adjusted numbers most of us would likely be fine!

Bring back limited government, like Steve likes to remind us ASAP!

Good 4 minute video at link, worth the watch, imo…

Edit: The Tax Rate table didn’t retain it’s format so I’m going to Bold the 1913 info to distinguish it.

I thought the Income Tax was technically unconstitutional. The opening quote from the 16th Amendment included above implies otherwise. Does anybody know?

Valerie Curren

“…some allege it was never properly ratified”

I am in that camp, or want to be, but don’t Really know the Facts here (not that that necessarily prevents me forming an opinion). I bet Gail has sauce 😮

Deplorable Patriot

Ed Meese admitted it. 16 & 17 need to be examined at the state legislature level.

singingsoul1

Happy you can do taxes on your own and even help your kids 🙂
We have ours done by our accountant but this year we do not pay much. So all is good. 🙂

Valerie Curren

I’ve done mine since a teenager & ours since the first full year of marriage. We got married in June so that year we filed separately but it’s been my job ever since. Glad you don’t have to pay much but sorry you have to pay Anything at all 🙂

singingsoul1

We pay every three months but sometimes we have to pay another chunk not this time.

Valerie Curren

Yikes. I don’t know that I’ve Ever actually had to pay, thankfully. I’d hoped that the tyrants would finally leave you alone when you’re retirement age at least 🙁

Valerie Curren

Oh my goodness, I went to their calculator to get 2024 info, which is even worse.

$20,000 in 1913 is $629,422.45 in 2024
$20,000 – $50,000 in 1913 is $629,422.45 – $1,573,556.12 in 2024
$50,000 – $75,000 in 1913 is $1,573,556.12 – $2,360,334.18 in 2024
$75,000 – $100,000 in 1913 is $2,360,334.18 – $3,147,112.24 in 2024
$100,000 – $250,000 in 1913 is $3,147,112.24 – $7,867,780.61 in 2024
$250,000 – $500,000 in 1913 is $7,867,780.61 – $15,735,561.22 in 2024
over $500,000 in 1913 is over $15,735,561.22 in 2024

Married exemption in 1913 $4,000 vs Married exemption in 2024 $125,884.49

So basically No one making UNDER $125, 884.49, filing married jointly, should have to pay ANY Tax!

Here’s the link to the calculator. I used January for 1913 & 2024 since it wouldn’t do April:

cthulhu

The worst thing about the income tax, however, is not the amount of money it extracts from the populace — it’s the fact that the government then has a right to inquire about every economic transaction a taxpayer performs, in order to determine whether it provides taxable income or deductible expense.

Once under that level of scrutiny, every single one of a taxpayer’s actions can be second-guessed and controlled. It’s like starting a “slippery slope” ten feet down over the edge of a sheer cliff. Simply put, any means of taxation that requires that level of paperwork is obnoxious and loathsome (looking at you, VAT!) no matter what amount of tax is collected.

Valerie Curren

Tyranny unbound, horrifyingly. AND immorality, like in Michigan where you can deduct gambling losses, marijuana related costs, & electric vehicle expenses but Not items that normal people/families have. It’s like the government is promoting & funding society’s downfall…almost like it’s on purpose/s 😡

cthulhu

There’s actually an interesting wrinkle regarding marijuana (or other drug) related costs….

The tax is on INCOME. Income is defined as gross receipts less cost of sales. Since the Constitutional Amendment does not authorize a gross receipts tax, they have to allow illegal drug purchases as a deduction if they regard illegal drug sales as taxable income.

IIRC, there was a SCOTUS case to that effect.

Valerie Curren

Mary Jane was legalized in MI a while back, horribly. Yeah I’m sure all those criminals are paying taxes on their ill-gotten gains 🙄

cthulhu

You may recall that Al Capone was finally brought low by the Feds for tax evasion, not bootlegging.

Valerie Curren

Yes, but even That doesn’t justify the existence of the IRS & their abject tyranny 🙁

Valerie Curren

Clearly. Aren’t “large sums of ‘cash'” defined as more than $900 (or is it $600) in one move from bank accounts? That would likely be at least a monthly rent or house payment or perhaps a credit card bill if one pays in full for many/most people. Digital currency is only going to enable & expand that tyranny, imo… 🙁 I’d do the angry face here but I’m in the notifier so the >:( doesn’t usually work in the Q-Tree’s version of WordPiss, unlike some of the sister blogs…

Valerie Curren

Oh, btw, I was looking forward to your more scientific approach on the eclipse & more pics as I thought you’d said on your “lunacy” post for that Monday eclipse. I hope you’ll still share that good stuff, at some point 🙂 Your photos are amazing!

BUT, Israel screwed up royally striking An Iranian Embassy, Iranian territory, last week.

Seems Iran will exact a toll, teaching Israel to think twice about striking Iran territory directly.

For me. The key to Iran’s Iron Dome, is having enough Israeli rounds to meet incoming rounds.

Yea, DUH.

Seems as though this was an issue several months ago. Perhaps it was after Oct 7 AND Israel had started their offensive.

mollypitcher5

So it’s over? Saturday night war is over. Iran had a slap at Israel and now they feel okay about everything….if the Jews don’t get anymore uppity ideas?

Iran done for now, unless Israel ups the ante. Iran not done. I’d believe the former.

K-Pop Star Park Bo Ram Drops Dead at 30 From Sudden Cardiac Arrest
comment image

South Korean K-pop star Park Bo Ram has dropped dead after suffering a sudden and fatal cardiac arrest while at a friend’s home, according to reports.

The massively popular singer was just 30 years old when she died suddenly on Thursday.

According to police, Park was with two other women at her friend’s house in Seoul on Thursday when she was found dead.

She reportedly collapsed after suffering a cardiac arrest.

She was rushed to hospital but was confirmed to be dead at 11.17 pm, about an hour after she was found.

The story says police are investigating. Then goes on to talk about suicide rates for young pop stars… I wonder if they missed the “heart attack” thing. If they missed that they’ll surely miss the vaxxx. Korea is big on the vaxxx. Although getting a late start compared to western nations as they looked around trying different solutions they ended up with quite the variety ( https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8801590/ ) and Korea quickly rose to one of the highest vaxxx’d countries in the world.
