Paths of Righteousness
For the soul in need of restoration, Psalm 23 is perhaps the most comforting place to turn in all the Bible. King David, who had tended his father’s flocks as a boy, had come to know God as the shepherd of his life. In Psalm 23:3, David declares of the Lord, “He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake” (ESV).
David wrote this psalm during a time of spiritual renewal or revival. “He refreshes my soul,” says the New Living Translation; “He renews my life,” affirms the Christian Standard Bible. Like a sheep who lacks the typical animal sense of direction, David had lost his way. He had wandered off the right path.
But here, David affirms, “He leads me in the paths of righteousness.” The primary jobs of the shepherd in pasturing his flock were to lead the sheep in the right way, to food and water, and to fend off predators. The shepherd was responsible for the welfare and safety of the sheep.
The word paths in Psalm 23:3 refers to one’s “course of conduct.” The word for “righteousness” in the original language means “adhering to moral standards like honesty, justice, and uprightness.” Like a shepherd guides his sheep along the right way, God effectively leads His people on the correct path by His Word and through the Holy Spirit’s guidance (Psalm 19:7; 119:105; Isaiah 59:21; 63:11–14; Romans 8:14 ). God does all this “for his name’s sake” or, in other words, to bring honor and glory to His name.
In ancient Israel, one’s name was inseparably linked with his reputation and standing. God leads us in paths of righteousness because He is a righteous shepherd: “For you are my rock and my fortress,” David acknowledged, “and for your name’s sake you lead me and guide me” (Psalm 31:3, ESV).
In Psalm 5:8, David prayed, “Lead me, LORD, in your righteousness because of my enemies—make your way straight before me.” As our life guide, the Lord assures us of faultless leading in straight paths. He is the ultimate companion for our journey. Like a professional travel guide, He stakes His name and reputation to guarantee our protection and safe arrival at the promised destination (Psalm 23:6).
The “paths of righteousness” depict the journey that leads to eternal life (Psalm 16:11). Proverbs 12:28 assures, “There is life in the path of righteousness, and in its path there is no death” (CSB). The Lord watches over those who walk on these paths (Psalm 1:6). As the proverb says, “The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day” (Proverbs 4:18).
Believers are made righteous by faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; Ephesians 2:8–9). By faith, we enter into a relationship with the one true God through Jesus Christ, His Son. Through the Holy Spirit, our Good Shepherd leads us on paths of righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:7; John 17:3; 1 John 2:25).
Sheep are known to stray from the path, and so are Christians. Yet, even if a believer falls into sin, as David did with Bathsheba (2 Samuel 11:1—12:15), the Lord is committed to leading him back to the right path. The Good Shepherd goes after the one lost sheep (Luke 15:1–7). The Father waits for the prodigal son to return (Luke 15:11–32). The Lord shows us our wandering ways so that we can repent and have our souls refreshed and restored. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).
The disciple Peter is an excellent example of a straying follower who was pursued by the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ our Lord (Luke 22:58–62). After he fell, Peter, like David, was forgiven and restored by the Lord (John 21:15–19).
According to Scripture, paths of righteousness are the safest roads to travel (Proverbs 4:11–12; 10:2, 9). These paths are ultimately avenues of safety, wisdom, justice, right living, integrity, and eternal blessings (Isaiah 42:16; Psalm 119:35; Proverbs 8:20; 11:3). They are “ways of pleasantness” and “paths of peace” (Proverbs 3:17).

I thought that autism/autists were mostly a modern phenomenon, given the vaccine injury connection to the massive increase in autism seen in recent decades. I mean I guess that there were likely neuro-biological differences in people throughout history but to the level of “autism” where these “oddballs” could constitute a “class” seems a bit of a stretch.
Until the last couple decades even the gays & trannies were supposedly less than 2% of society. There was a lot of “invented” occultism that began in Europe in the early Middle Ages, after the Crusades. So, on the continuing saga of setting up headless computers, I have one that has been my star example — it has been working as a printserver, I’ve used a laptop to keep its software current, I can reboot it and shut it down from the laptop…..
Unless I detach the monitor. If it doesn’t have a monitor when it boots, it won’t boot.
I have been told that there is often a BIOS setting for this — which, BTW, makes it non-modifiable unless you have a monitor plugged-in and can hit the key combination to change BIOS while booting. And I’ve looked through the BIOS without finding it.

The Good Ol Days! 
I took a quick rinse-off shower before going to the computer store. While I was running the water to get hot (we run it into a bucket to use for watering plants), the shower connection was leaking like crazy. The Fiancee likes the shower pointing out across the shower stall and I like it pointing down near the controls, so it gets moved a lot — and it had been working loose where the pipe connected to the shower head.
So, after my trip to the computer store, I go in with a pair of channelocks to tighten it up, and the hose connector broke off in my hand. Which meant that my previous plans went right out the window and I zippied over to Home Depot to get a replacement unit. I have now installed the replacement (elapsed time, about an hour) and I’m doing a mental reset to get back on track with what I was doing.
But, what about the very large box of resistors?
Or on to plan B, C…as this HDMI null thing is the concept in development?
No, I used the VGA-HDMI adapter and a HDMI null dongle and it worked. Costs four times as much as what I need, but it was available on a Sunday.

You & my husband could have commiserating conversations. Lately it seems like everything that gets touched goes problematic. At least most things are still “working” sufficiently to get by. He’s been putting off certain car repairs so we’d be in a new credit card cycle. But now that process is getting boxed in by upcoming expected trips. Not enough weekends in between to get things done “easily”. In the case of the wheel bearings that need to be pulled he needs our son Brandon & some of his tools to get the job done & B is Very Busy w/ his crazy OT work schedule trying to get out of debt (as much as possible) before getting engaged…Hubby’s got to be careful w/ certain repair work (house or car) because he can really set off his vertigo if he’s not careful. If one of our sons can help by crawling under the car that Helps A Lot!
I’m still having trouble raising my right arm over my head, so there’s that little complication. Fortunately, shower heads are at a comfortable level…..oh, wait — they’re overhead!

DW cringes when I step up on anything. So I do it when she’s not around. 
Last time I was going to go up on the roof to clear out the gutters, the Fiancee packed the ladder up and hid it.
My movement has gotten enough better that I could get the showerhead installed — mostly left handed, with my right hand holding tools — without needing a step stool.

There is a real thing called a “personal locator beacon” that you can buy on Amazon for about $400. If you are lost and really, really, really screwed, you can pop the top off this thing and it will trigger a potentially international manhunt for your location. Many vendors will even replace the unit for free if you were really, really, really screwed — because they are single use devices.
If you were merely drunk and should have slept it off in your car, you will be liable for costs in the thousands of dollars for misusing it. This will generally not be levied if your beacon is found in a pile of bear scat or an unmarked cartel mass grave.
From what I’ve heard, you get everyone from the local yokels to the Forest Service to the Coast Guard and potentially the military coming to find you. Even if you’re stuck in a hole that only sees sunlight for an hour a day, the thing will try to find satellites for 26 hours using its internal battery.
There are international treaties regarding these things, so if you fall off a cruise ship headed from Miami to the Bahamas, you’d want one — or if you surface from your dive off Puerto Rico and there’s no boat. They work on land and water.
Amazing! Hubby likes watching those shows about hunters or hikers who’ve disappeared off the face of the earth w/ no trace ever found, like DB Cooper (who probably didn’t Want to be found). Crazy stuff but potentially life saving to be sure 🙂

So, the local computer store (one of the few we have left in Silicon Valley) didn’t have a null VGA dongle…..but they had a null HDMI dongle. This makes sense because null dongles are used to fool high-end video cards that there’s a monitor attached, so they’ll wake up……and no modern high-end video cards use VGA — they’re all using HDMI or Display Port. I’ve got a null HDMI dongle and a VGA-HDMI adapter to try out.
OK, that worked. Now I can pull the monitor and stuff out and go get other computers working.
Speaking of which, I got another computer to work on today, a Dell/Wyse 3040.
The computer itself is 1-1/8″x4-1/16″x4-1/16″. Amazon (Woot) packed it in a box that was 6-1/2″x10-3/8″x18-1/2″ with a generic keyboard, mouse, and wall-wart power supply. Then that was enclosed in a 10-1/4″x15″x10-1/4″ outside box.
The Fiancee’s comment was: “it’s awfully light”.
There’s this ad for “grammarly” that plays on the Fox page (silently, for me). It has a little button that says “rewrite in my voice” to customize documents to make it look like you wrote them.
So I get this mental picture of me taking a one-page memo, clicking “rewrite in my voice”, and having it come out as 14 pages…..
(One of my former bosses used to say, “if you ask cthulhu what time it is, he’ll tell you how to build a clock.”)
Your boss was sadly mistaken. Because after you told them how to build a clock, you’d still have to explain how to build a sundial, orient it properly, and use the equation of time to SET the clock to mean solar time…then consult a map to find longitude and apply the appropriate correction to get onto your time zone’s standard or daylight saving time.
Of course they might just skip directly to the sundial…if it’s daytime.

A former aide from Barack Obama’s White House has unleashed a bombshell book outlining the case for impeaching and incarcerating President Joe Biden.
In his new book, The Case to Impeach and Imprison Joe Biden, former White House stenographer Mike McCormick minced no words, detailing Biden’s alleged involvement in the business dealings of his embattled son, Hunter Biden.
“When I worked for him, I thought Joe was harmless — egotistical, buffoonish, and unpresidential, but harmless,” McCormick wrote in the book, as reported by Townhall. “Now I think of him as an evil criminal who should be impeached and imprisoned.”

I was looking at a prep type high school page the other day. It was one of those geared toward black promotion. Fine by me but the slavery to wokeism is so transparent. It said it was very diverse, some minute amount of students besides black but they covered it by adding that it was “diverse economically”. I haven’t watched that. The idea that the driver shot JFK with a gun was debunked a long time ago. So now the driver supposedly attacked him with a dart gun, which doesn’t account for JFK’s bullet wounds?
I hadn’t seen that stuff so it was new to me (though the interview footage seemed from some time back). They had the video of the car w/ JFK slowed down & supposedly showed one/both of the men in the front seat with guns pointed toward the back. They could have been attempting to aim at presumably unknown shooters instead of at JFK though. Lots of interpretation in what is being seen & described…
I seem to remember that the accusation against the driver had something to do with a reflection on the windshield that people were interpreting as something it wasn’t. There is no way the men in the front seat had guns pointed toward the back with no one noticing it until now, with all the research that has been done, all the painstaking examination of the footage over decades, and all the books that have been written.
I still don’t see how dart guns fit into it when it is clear that JFK was shot with a firearm.
The guy claimed it took him 16 years to get ahold of the footage that is shown in the video I shared above & that the government had heavily suppressed it. The dart gun stuff included what looked like congressional testimony, but the clip is provided without attribution so it’s hard to necessarily connect the dots that the narrator gives, at least for me…it’s all just food for thought & fodder for the Conspiracy Theorist discussions, which is fitting since CT was invented terminology for those who didn’t just buy the government’s clearly false lines about what Really happened to JFK. The video shared above mentions the CIA in connection w/ JFK, & it appears this was Way before the recent revelations of their duplicity/complicity in that pivotal event…
Hummm … wonder how many will try to debunk this? Hell, i don’t know if’s true, but Pleezeeee … give it some thought.

We already have tons of negatives on the Deep State, including regarding JFK. So IMO, discounting a theory like this doesn’t let the Deep State off one bit. The only reason to discount it is if were not true. I place myself in the skeptical column. Other theories are much more plausible, IMO.

IF this is a legit thing I would love to see a scientific explanation. The demonstration purported in the video above has blood taken from the same woman. The first time, no grounding, the red blood cells “stack up” (kind of like what’s been shown from the covid “vax”, iirc). Then after standing TEN Minutes outside barefoot, the blood is freely moving & not clumping up…fwiw…

That litter reminds me of when our German Shepherd had puppies 3 decades ago. Our dog was beautiful, all gold w/ a black muzzle & white belly. She had 3 sets of twins & a mini-me little girl puppy. One set of the twins were colored like the gray & white kittens above, but w/ small brown & black patches too. One set were what we called “peppered” as they looked like our friends’ dog Pepper, a mix of dark brown & black hairs kind of flecked w/ occasional lighter blondest hairs, like mixed peppercorns crushed up. The third set of twins were black w/ a couple of white patches on their feet & faces. We wondered if more than one father was involved.
Our current dog, Jules, is of almost exactly the same coloration as Shanna was, even though she’s a half husky. It’s funny how many times Michael & I keep referring to Jules as Shanna (who’s been gone nearly 20 years now). I guess it’s the coloring or perhaps it’s our aging brains in some type of misfire mode 🤔 C’est la vie chez moi 🙃
