Note: I’ve been to Hampton Court and successfully navigated the maze….
It’s the oldest surviving hedge maze in England.
If you had not successfully navigated the maze, we sure would miss you if you were still wandering around inside the maze. Do you have tips on maze navigation? A friend and I once went through a local maze. He suggested we keep taking a left and if we hit a deadend, back up until we could make another left turn. Somehow that worked.

Hampton Court’s maze has a pretty well-known “secret”, which I don’t (and didn’t at the time) remember — something like “two rights, and all the rest lefts” or the reverse.
You can get through most mazes (eventually) by just keeping one hand on the wall of the maze. The exceptions are mazes with “islands”, at which point keeping either hand on the wall of the maze will never get you to the goal.
There is some Greek guy who had a measure of success by unspooling yarn behind him. And, of course, if you find yourself in “a maze of twisty passages, all alike”, it frequently helps to leave small objects in places you have been.
I’m not sure of this, but I believe islands are impossible in a maze whose goal is not somewhere in the middle of the maze. In other words if the goal is a different exit, either the “right hand rule” or the “left hand rule” will have to work.
You must either start or end on the island for the island to foil hand/wall solutions.

So the second time I put him in his crib, I gently held him down until he finally cried himself to sleep. His brother & sister, who were downstairs watching TV were in awe that I could get him to go to sleep and so were his parents.
After that all the kids in the neighborhood were good for me. 😋

years ago there was an episode on The Blacklist about a troll farmer right in DC. the 2 main characters needed to get out of DC as they were being hunted by the police who had created a perimeter around the city.

Random weird note today. My hubby & I each had 2 eggs for breakfast & All of them had 2 yolks. He was wondering if it was some type of GMO scenario. They were Kroger brand Jumbo size.
Nope. I used to live near a small egg farm in Canoga Park CA. They would segregate the double yolk eggs from the jumbos and tack on a dollar for a dozen double yolks.
I loved ’em. Got really good flipping four double yolks without breaking any.
BTW, Kroger sources its eggs locally. Don’t know about other products.

I had that before. That happens and I remember that two yokes were in eggs when I grew up in Germany. This might be a certain chicken or time of the year that lay eggs with two egg yokes. .
I’ve seen double yolks before too, but pretty infrequently until today.
Recently had the same from eggs bought at Harris Teeter in Va. Out of one dozen, we had at least 5 double-yolked eggs.

If it reduces people to superstitious beings who grasp at signs of their own interpretation, I see that as a negative.
The story answers some of those questions. Horses hit a bus. Apparently there were several of horses that broke free from their riders. It wasn’t just the white one bleeding. This pair apparently is getting all the attention.

I have the recording of noises that is used for training police horses here in the USA. It has some VERY loud nasty sounds like jack hammers, fireworks, gun shots, ambulance and fire trucks…
You also get them used to plastic bags, flapping tarps, flashing lights, wooden bridges… At the end of the training (Which actually never ends) the horse looks to you as their leader and will take their cues from you. I have literally had my horse trembling in fear but STANDING because that is what I asked. (I have a calm down cue.)
On top of that the English are VERY GOOD horse trainers.
SO I am also going to call BULL SHIT. I think someone may have used a sling shot or bee bee gun on these horses.
I’m going to stick with – if the rider spooked, the horse will too. Besides it fits with what you say.

He said it was perfectly normal for horses to get spooked, and that, even though these horses were known for being able to be in parades and noisy crowds without panicking, this was a circumstance out of the ordinary, and it was a domino effect among the horses.

The most high-profile case, apart from the January 6 investigation, involved Trump’s alleged improper storage of classified documents. In August 2022, the FBI searched Trump’s Palm Beach, Florida residence while he was in New York. As the elections approach, new details emerge in these cases.
Recent information suggests the FBI raid on Trump’s estate wasn’t solely for searches but also for planting wiretaps. The Phil’s Podcast author cites a leaked September 2023 phone call where Greg Robertson, a Secret Service officer, informed his boss about discovering a recording device. Robertson was one of 24 Secret Service agents “subpoenaed to testify before the Grand Jury in the summer of 2023 when Trump was investigated for mishandling classified documents.”
The recording device was found in Trump’s office in the same wing of the Mar-a-Lago estate from where the FBI seized boxes of documents. The blogger says there are three possible ways the bug ended up in Trump’s office: “planted by someone from the Secret Service, implicating the DHS; by someone from the Mar-a-Lago staff; or by FBI agents who could have wiretapped the room during the August 2022 searches.”
The blogger believes “we can safely discard the first two options. Indeed, there are many people from different departments that do not obey each other at Trump’s residence: Secret Service protection, Mar-a-Lago personnel and guests, Trump’s personal assistants and their substitutes. However, very few of them have access to the aforementioned Trump’s living quarters. Everybody passes serious background checks before they’re hired, plus, the club’s security regularly conducts inspections of the personnel. It’s doubtful that the Secret Service could order the wiretapping. It’s not their job, and presidential protection has never been spotted doing something like this.”
It turns out that despite the large number of visitors and employees at the resort, the FBI could have both a motive and opportunity to install wiretapping, given their role in searching for documents. Additionally, the FBI has experience with such surveillance tactics. The main question now is who within the FBI authorized planting the recording device?

There is at least a communist but also very conservative or two professors in the liberal arts department. A professor immigrant from Poland hates communism and one Muslim no idea where he stands. Most of the students from here most have fathers who served.

In my case the professor’s name was Edward Rozek, and he fought both the Communists and the Nazis in WWII. He grew up in Eastern Poland, which got gobbled up by the Soviets after the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact…so he fought them. Then when the Nazis invaded the Soviet Union, he fought them.
The campus Left hated his guts, and they even tried to frame him on criminal charges, unsuccessfully. At least one sitting US senator attended his retirement party…as well as myself.
