Booting a RINO
I’ve spent the last couple of years pounding home the message that RINO McDaniels was a symptom of a problem…a party shot through with RINO officials. In this instance it was the hundred or so members of the RNC who gleefully voted for her again, and again, and again.
Well I got to help take one of those hundred people down, as told here: https://www.theqtree.com/2024/04/07/i-aim-to-raise-a-ruckus/. What’s even better is that oxygen thief was apparently boiling mad at how poorly she did in the vote (according to a MAGA candidate for a county office I spoke to last Tuesday night (4/16)). Apparently she felt entitled to her office no matter what the rubes think…and that attitude turns people into RINOs.
Judging from the number of comments received few noticed or cared about the post, but nonetheless I noticed a pattern: Hardly anyone who regularly puts forth “devolution” or “this is all a movie” theories (or any other variant of the idea that Trump and/or his allies are really in charge) seemed to care about it. I described successful action against the enemy and they didn’t care.
I submit that that is the desired effect of such ideas as devolution…to get people on our side not to care, not to participate, not to fight, because they believe someone else will do it for them. “Nothing can stop what is coming?” Great! I don’t have to lift a finger, just be ready to microwave some popcorn!
If any of you really are thinking like this, you might as well be controlled opposition. You’re doing exactly what the other side wants you to do, sitting on your hands waiting for deliverance by deus ex machina.

Gold and silver took an absolute beating on Monday morning. Monday was payday for me, and the precious metals in general cratered so hard that I woke up poorer on Monday, even having just been paid, than I was when I went to bed on Sunday. I suppose that makes up for the handful of times in the past few weeks where my paycheck was less than half of my added net worth that pay period.
Precious metals haven’t recovered from that beating, but seem to have stabilized–somewhat–around Friday’s price. Which is still vastly higher than the price was a few weeks ago.

Gold and silver [and the rest] are in the midst of a pump-and-dump scheme. When you’re dealing in huge quantities, a small profit on the little bits adds up to fantastic total profits.
This is likely the biggest mover of the spot prices. Russia and China have spent most of the past six months [or more] buying gold. This caused [or contributed to] the prices going up on a generally steady slope.
Then in co-ordination they both stop [or severely slow] their purchases. This causes the spot price to drop. The psychological effect of the drop contributes to the market becoming uncertain [price choppiness].
After a period of time R and C will slowly start buying again on an accelerating basis. The markets react to this by increasing the spot price.
What’s the hidden benefit of this? Every increase in today’s spot price also increases the ‘profit’ on all the gold already purchased by R and C.

I came across this 11-minute video of Viva Frei talking about the latest attacks on James O’Keefe. I gather that:
O’Keefe was in a bar in D.C. There was a very inebriated girl there, 20 years old, who supposedly works for Chuck Schumer. She started coming on to O’Keefe. He didn’t respond in kind and videoed the entire episode. Viva Frei says the video is 14 minutes long, and Frei thinks O’Keefe recorded it as proof that he didn’t do anything wrong to try to get a story, and as insurance in case she accused him of misconduct.
O’Keefe shared the video with his team at OMG but decided not to release it because there wasn’t any meaningful intel on it. But the video got leaked to Kyle Seraphin, who published it. The video shows the girl, so it potentially IDs her, and makes it known that she needed an ambulance (medical information). The woman has retained counsel, so apparently she is planning to go after O’Keefe.
So not only did O’Keefe not engage with her in her intoxicated state, but he did not release the video of her, but some people are making it seem that the video somehow condemns O’Keefe. And I guess she is planning to sue him. All on the eve of his publishing a huge story.

I remember reading a prediction that he would be the last one.
The UK could actually vote to become a republic. Certainly some of the other domains (Canada, Australia, etc.) have thought about it. And I believe Bermuda actually did it…with then-Prince Charles in attendance.
Not that there’s any great meaning to it or anything, but I spent the afternoon helping The Fiancee move her stuff from one storage unit to another and I am tired and sore. Same building, same floor, just a 10×10, but in some unfathomable way, it couldn’t be done in a straightforward fashion.
I may have mentioned this before –but, back in the day, you could get Harbor Freight mini floor dollies for $8. This was particularly interesting because each had 4 high-capacity swivel wheels that would normally go for $3.50 each — so it was cheaper to buy the dollies and take them apart (and you got some bonus hardware).
You could then buy cheapie plastic Home Depot 5-shelf units for about $40. If you also got some 1×4’s, you could cut them into four pieces — two the length of the shelf unit, and two the width of the shelf unit.
You could then Forstner the tops of the long 1x4s to cradle the shelf’s feet. Then you mount the short 1×4’s as crosspieces on top of the long ones (pinning the feet into place) and mount the wheels underneath. As a final step, you use zip-ties to anchor the bottom shelf down onto the wheeled chassis.
I mention this because the majority of the stuff in the Fiancee’s unit was on such wheeled shelves and merely had to be rolled to the new unit. I was actually surprised at how many she had, being that I made them in numerous small batches.
Wheeled shelving! A great idea.
It’s a great idea when metro.com does it. It’s fortuitous when you can do it on the cheap with Harbor Freight wheels and Home Depot shelves.
Still, as with other things, you wisely saw the hidden reality of the situation!

IIRC, those HF small dollies are rated at 500lbs. With the larger ones 1,000lbs. Use them frequently when moving stuff.
I used them myself, but really got the clue when I ran into a woman buying six at Harbor Freight. I asked what kind of wild project required six little dollies at the same time, and she looked at me like I was some sort of idiot *. She explained how each $8 dolly had $14 of wheels if you just took them apart. I generally expect Gail to look like this practical woman.

One of my favorites was “Ragtime Nightingale” by Joseph Lamb. Although unusual by ragtime composer standards (being Irish Catholic from New Jersey), he met and impressed Scott Joplin, who convinced his (Joplin’s) publisher to publish his works.
Here is a somewhat bloodless and overcontrolled version, though technically nice and clean. I liked to romp the bass a bit more.

Scott Joplin was a genius, and really elevated ragtime as an art form. It is natural for all sorts of people to be enthralled with his music.

I should point out that Scott Joplin exemplified and drove forward the state of the art, in a way similar to The Beatles many years later. In the same way The Beatles could be said to have started prog rock (Sgt. Peppers), heavy metal (Helter Skelter, Hey Bulldog), electronica (Revolution 9), and served to inspire an entire generation of musicians…..Scott Joplin started with pieces like Original Rags and Great Crush Collision March in 1896/1897 and progressed through a ragtime ballet, two ragtime operas, and complex works like Elite Syncopations and Magnetic Rag…..before he succumbed in 1917 to the syphilis that was eating his brain.
By contrast, Zez Confrey was active in the 1920’s (he passed in 1971) and his “ragtime” was more showy and gimmicky — though still a crowd-pleaser.
People compose rags today, but the golden age of classic ragtime was around 1900-1920.

my own views and opinions. In order of magnitude/significance
a. SCOTUS seems to be interested in sending the case back to the lower courts so that a ruling at the lower courts can be made to address what exactly IS and exactly what is NOT official power, versus personal power. Noting: this relates solely to criminal allegations…civil liability was already ruled 50 years ago with Nixon. However, the complexity of the DOJ arguments seek to use civil allegations as evidence to promote criminal violations. So this is going to be tested and likely will go back to scotus. Example: if President Trump spoke at a personal dinner party and discussed some details of his official business as President, DOJ/Jack Smith claims this can be used and shared with grand jury and jurors as a form of evidence to climb over the wall of what is personal versus official. The delimna is obvious. I call it schrodingers folly. At what point CAN a president not be the president? in his sleep? while golfing? or based upon some other circumstance? When a President Speaks, how does one determine if he speaks in an official capacity..or in a personal way? Is the cat dead or alive? just by looking at it, then you will know? (simplified, but a good analogy…a better analogy?> Now look away and close the box…is the dead cat, now alive? If you blink, did you miss the death and recover from death? see the problem. it’s both a timing issue, but it’s also a fundamental problem of subjectivity. What appears to YOU to be alive, may very well be a corpse to another. A President may make a joke for instance….But this joke is made to remark about international relations with a foreign nation state. is it personal rhetoric, or a fine tuned or even a rough everture that fits into a larger political official position by the president? See the problem? who decides? Isn’t it true, that the meaning and intent in this situation is determined by the office of the president of the United states? can a president MUSE over an issue and speak of it aloud in front of a large audience? can he also do this in private. Of course, is the answer. So again, how can DOJ OR EVEN COURTS make a determination about intention…and Even IF this is personal or official>? Can it be NOT BE BOTH. This leads me to my next commentary
b. THE PEOPLE VOTED FOR AND ELECTED DONALD TRUMP AS THEIR PRESIDENT. It was the PERSON who they elected to be the official leader of this country. This is the process we have all enjoyed and it is well understood. President Trump does not STOP being Donald Trump when he takes the oath of office. It is illogical and irrational to expect this. We do not elect robots. We are ALL incomplete and imperfect. We are NOT GOD! To expect a President (any) to have their words and actions examined and constantly legally managed by outsiders who have other political agendas is to undermine the entire premise of why immunity is so important. We WANT our president to be real and truthful, even if it means we hear and experience unpleasant things. This is ultimately how this society can operate. it’s not perfect. it IS messy. We are not expecting to be entertained and kept away from important discussions and significant decisions. We want our presidents to take risks, just as we ourselves take risks each and every single day…we do so, because that is what courage is really about…to make hard decisions, we take risks, knowing there will be some consequences in those actions. We don’t want stooges and pool noodles as presidents. We want strong SMART and focused risk takers WITH PROVEN RECORDS OF SUCCESS. that is to me the embodiment of what electing a president is all about. Daring to allege wrongdoing for what is personal versus what is official business is an attempt to do reduce the office of the presidency to nothing more than a pure ceremonial stooge who would then follow to the letter some ridiculous line of guidance about what they can and cannot say and do! That is completely and utterly polar opposite of what powers we expect our presidents to lean upon and depend upon when they make weighty decisions…or even when making a joke…or when insulting and accusing some congressional member, a bureaucrat, a political opponent, or a corrupt judge. There is NO line of division between what is personal and official. The very basis of the office of the presidency comes with it the inevitable and unstoppable aspect of THE PERSON. We vote for a PERSON…not a robot who follows orders made by rule makers who want to control how the office operates. this leads me to my next commentary
c. the process that solves the issue of allegations of crimes, liability and indictments already exists in two forms:
1) the ability of THE PEOPLE to choose to vote or NOT TO VOTE for a candidate.
2) the power of Congress to impeach based on high crimes and misdemeanors.
on those two forms, THE PEOPLE have chosen TWICE (I refuse to accept election fraud 2020!), and Congress has FAILED TWICE to impeach President Trump.
this issue is cold and dead in my book. One cannot solve the personal versus official business quandry and SCOTUS must not allow the lower courts or the DOJ or any other court and prosecutor lay claim to new law that does not exist. ?
In fact, SCOTUS should simply make it very clear that presidential immunity is absolute. This IS the only way to preserve the office of the presidency AS IT HAS OPERATED since Washington. Changes to what will and will not be allowed for presidential conduct would transfer the powers of the presidency to literally the whims of radicalized prosecutors, sworn political enemies and the likes of Soros and chicoms!
If SCOTUS makes a ruling that attempts to place boundaries on a president, I can say without hesitation that we will see the stage 4 transfer of power Accelerate much faster and then develop, set the stage for stage 5 revolution.

Found this story earlier. Story does not spit everything out. Like why only now were they using a Giger counter to check background levels. Looking at this link below it takes you to a pdf which is the background for the story. Very extensive for what it does say, but again no dates on when they started using a Giger counter. However clues are in the references. Best I can see they started doing such in 1999 and or 2000 which even then would be rather late in investigating the deaths associated with the initial excavations. I’m sure there are excuses, like political turmoil in Egypt that made it hard to do so, but I’m not sure i’d buy that.

I’m a little surprised that Medical/Clinical Assisting is on that list. I would think that such jobs would always be in demand. Maybe the state of the health profession now is a factor, or maybe people find that they just don’t like that kind of work.
Could be wrong, but likely collages are flooding the work place with easy to hire DEI type health care workers which in turn will drive wages down.

The problem was they were training line workers with a high school education.

My complaint was they did not even address the subject of PLOT YOUR DATA FIRST to see if it fits a normal distribution.
Even there the software could do that. You input your points, it puts them on the screen, and you realize it looks like a shotgun pattern OR maybe it resembles something. OK try a curve fit for an exponential…

She is positive and dear. I praise her at my little private group Barb+kitties Moving Adventure News on FB. There’s 31 members, a mix of family and in-person friends. It got a little overwhelming trying to keep telling everyone what’s up by PM. Also, for better or worse, I wanted to share stuff I am learning and give encouragement to others if they have to tackle this. I never owned a home before, so this is the first one I’m selling.
Since I started this process, my older brother Ron has sold his own home. His wife died accidentally a couple of years ago (possibly got scared and took a jab, but they did not do an autopsy). Four months later, his eldest son committed suicide (did have jabs because he had med issues, possible cancer recurrence that had been gone for over 30 years).
He’s lived with his youngest son and family since then. They are a blessing to my brother. All the kids and his grandkids helped him with estate sale, yard sale, and so on. They found the perfect buyer who is a carpenter and is remodeling brother’s place for the new buyer’s parents to move home from Florida and be close to their son.
Oh my. Heart warming and breaking. Wonderful your brother has a son and his family to be with. As well as his home buyers are helping his parents. Goodness playing out.
Back to my post slightly up or down. You are moving for all the right reasons. Looking forward to reading it is all coming together for you. It will.
And yes, moving can be a handful, challenge, bordering on daunting in ways. All manageable. Methodical planning. Flexible execution.

It seemed time. I want to be closer to all my family in Missouri. I’m 69 years old now and realized I have the extra time so should use it to downsize and come home. My brother seems happy I’ll be coming when I can and I am too. All my adult life, I have had to move for jobs to keep being a tech writer. It is easier now than ever to work remotely. Finally, I told my Dad I would always come home. I have a promise to keep.

Hubby told me that the term ‘bug’ came from an actual bug found in a computer that was mucking things up.
Way back in the computer past the “switches” were actual relays with contacts, instead of transistors. The banks of relays and wiring occupied warehouse sized rooms and had normal bugs around. A fly lands on a contact and the relay energizes, smashed fly, and a bug in the program!

I remember the huge rooms with computers. Hubby is in his 80s and started working with computers right after college.
Large as they were, those were likely electronic beasties, not ones with mechanical logic gates.
I did a fair amount of college programming work on what was, in the 1970s, a supercomputer. (Not so much so by the early-mid 1980s.) Never laid eyes on it, it had its own room. Later I got to work on Cray-2s when they were top of the line. (It was a remarkably unspectacular thing…it just was another box that ran Linux, and because its scheduler sucked, it could be slow to respond to the command prompt.)
In college in 1969 – 1970 we got to run a Gas Chromatograph that was hooked up to a computer. We had to learn Basic to program it. 🙄

From my experience in shipping classified materials, it also needs to be noted that it is the responsibility of the entity doing the shipping (i.e. in this case the GSA) to ensure all handling and shipping requirements were and can be met before shipping the materials … just sayin’.
This places more emphasis on the fact the GSA, National Archives, FBI and Secret Service conspired to literally CREATE the faux crime claimed in the FLA Documents Case being pursued by Jack Smith. The GSA had to verify before hand that ALL handling requirements could be met at the end before shipping those boxes. So, the President Trump met the requirements until the Secret Service pulled the clearances at the direction of somebody on the JoeBama White House Staff. Follow the process trail ….
This also emphasizes why the DoJ fought so hard to ensure Judge Cannon’s appointment of special master to review the classification DID NOT OCCUR, at the start of the FLA Documents Case. One of the primary jobs of the Special Master would be to FOLLOW THE PROCESS Trail and report the findings.

I find that baseless. And it would be unconstitutional. Trump’s term ended 1/20/21 at Noon ET; period. The Constitution specifically says not just that the new president shall be inaugurated then (unless the election is somehow still in limbo), but that the prior president’s term ends then, without qualification. Fraudulently gotten or not, the President is who Congress certifies him to be. That process is there to try to prevent fraud, and has multiple steps, but we happen to have seen them all fail. But the Constitution specified the process (allowing Congress to flesh out details), with the intent that the results be final.
I belabor that, because I have seen you pushing this theory here. You’re not sounding so positive about it any more.
As for Q, I can only conclude that Trump didn’t mind Q doing what Q did. That’s not the same as saying he was on Q’s team, or even that Q was in fact good guys. I too see some hope. In the mid 90s I gave up on the GOP; it was hopelessly RINO. Watching the Colorado state legislature have veto proof GOP majorities in both houses yet nothing at all change, in the mid 80s, and watching Congress swing GOP in 1994 with no meaningful change, convinced me that the party simply couldn’t function as its base wanted it to. I actually switched to the Libertarian party.
But now I am seeing a party whose actual leadership (in this state at least) is largely Patriot, including my county chair (El Paso [Colorado Springs] is by FAR the biggest GOP county in the state) and even the state chair. That doesn’t mean the RINOs have had the size 14 ice cleats shoved up their ass as they deserve; there’s still systemic problems with the nominating process (petitioning on to the primary ballot then buying the election) that are forced upon us by state law. In other words, I see some hope. But there is work to be done. Which brings us to the most important sentence of your comment.
