Among the things I watched or read on this, I believe the OMG citizen journalist met Ahjad on some online site. It was not a site I recognized and I haven’t found it again.. I’ll keep watching for that name again, though I don’t know anyone who would want to go there.

When DJT talked about abortion, he was unable to state the good of the Dobbs result. He was floundering around, to the point where he was repeating himself. It looked to me like he mentally lost his train of thought; in any event, it was quite unlike anything I’ve ever heard from him.
I don’t think there is any ‘good’ to come from Dobbs, other than it was constitutionally the right thing to do. I hope DJT stops talking about abortion; it’s not high on the people’s list of concerns for the 2024 election.
Most important is that abortion is not a federal issue so there’s no reason for a candidate for federal office to say anything more than: it’s not a federal issue.
This is because there is no “fence” position on abortion. No politician can say anything that will “bridge the gap,” and not cost them votes.
Abortion is legal murder. It just is. But many (probably a majority) think that some abortion should be legal, even if it is only in case of rape, incest, or molestation. But it’s still legal murder of an innocent, so there are voters who think there should be no exceptions at all.
There is no middle position that will be acceptable to many, many voters, so politicians are hamstrung by it. In my opinion, the only semi-intelligent way for Trump to handle it is to stick to the Constitutionally-correct stance that it is a state issue, period. That is why America was founded the way it was. If you don’t like the laws in your state, and you lose your fight to change them, you have 49 other options for where to live. God Bless America.

I agree … there will never be a ‘meeting of the minds’ on this. It’s why States Rights is such an important element of our Republic, a power sadly too often handed to Feds in trade for federal (our taxes) dollars/bribes.
Abortion is murder. Period. Allowing it, no matter the circumstances, does not make it anything other than a deal with the devil. I understand and even empathize with the practical arguments and agony in certain circumstances, but legalizing abortion started us down a very dark path to devaluing the worth of a human life.
The worst part of legalizing babykilling in the early 70s was the lie of women dying in back alley abortions.
Nobody ever asked why women were dying in back alley abortions. Nobody even asked why women would go into a back alley to have an abortion in the first place.
It was a clever ‘bumper sticker’ mantra. Problem was, it was false.
The term came from doctors doing moonlight abortions after their regular hours. Women seeking abortions were scheduled at a certain time but were told not to use the front office door. Instead, they were instructed to go to the ‘back alley’ door and knock in a certain way for admittance. This was for anonymity purposes.
The important part of this underground system was that the abortion was performed by a medical doctor. Complications were quite rare. Doctors were well aware that they were in huge trouble if one of their back door patients needed to go to the hospital.
Black market abortions were arguably safer [for the mother] than a lot of today’s abortions.

Small side comment. My paternal grandfather was a tough old b*tard, but he loved his wife, sons (Middle on was my Dad,) hunting, woodworking, and having a flourishing garden of roses. One hybrid he “engineered” was named for him, w/o his name.
Anyway, he loved his dogs. Really, really loved them. When a new litter arrived he was overjoyed and just loved to have them all over him.
However ….
If one of the pups “turned bad,” would not obey, etc., he calmly took them to his farm, and shot them. We NEVER had any raucous dogs around. Only the ones who loved us and would protect us.
So, yea, I get the story.
You HAVE to do that. My bucks are all nice — except one. He left me black and blue so despite the fact he is physically the best looking of the lot, he is headed for the freezer and not the breeding pen.

I took a 5 years old dog who was headed for dog heaven because of 25 bad behaviors , I put a gentile leader on the Weimaraner and a leash. When he misbehaved put him for 15 time out. After three weeks he became a wonderful dog behaved never bite anyone . I gave him a job visiting nursing homes . He was loved by the nursing home people.
What was wrong with him before he came to us? He needed to mature and consistency of training love and patience and structure. In our home he never did what he did to his previous owners. He loved being trained and his walks.

Totally agree, I remember when I was in HS a friend of mine put his dog down for running deer. Remember one time stopped at the sheep farmer up the road to let him know a dog was in the pasture after his flock, yup grabbed the the gun and off he went.

So true. We had a rescue I had on a leash and was doing SIT – STAY with as part of training to heel.
As soon as my eyes came off that dog she went for the little boy next door (4 yrs) that I was talking to. I jerked her back and did SIT – STAY and AGAIN she went for the kid.
The next day I took her to the pound and told them she was only good for a night time guard dog. They said NOPE, we are putting her down. Cost me $30.
I consider that CHEAP compared to a lawsuit.

At what point will we get a witness to an actual crime who actually dealt with Trump? Right now this entire prosecution has been speculation.
Any gov’t thug who pleads the 5th needs to be immediately suspended without pay, and a full multi-agency investigation launched against him or her.
You don’t get to be a public servant, commit crimes of abuse of power, plead the 5th to not incriminate yourself, and keep your job.
