Annointed with Oil
King David loved being in the presence of the Lord. In Psalm 23, David celebrated the intimate relationship he shared with God. The passage begins with a metaphor of the Shepherd (the Lord) leading His lamb (David), illustrating God’s close attention, guidance, and protection. The imagery deepens as David portrays himself as an honored guest and permanent resident in God’s house: “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever” (Psalm 23:5–6).
An ancient custom of hospitality and respect shown to esteemed dinner guests was for the host to anoint his invitee’s head with oil. The oil was mixed with fragrant perfumes to refresh and soothe weary travelers (see Jesus’ rebuke of a dinner host in Luke 7:46). Since the custom and its significance are unknown today, some modern translations replace the phrase with “you welcome me as an honored guest by rubbing my head with oil” (TEV) and “you honor me by anointing my head with oil” (NLT).
In Psalm 23:5, David said to the Lord, “You anoint my head with oil” because he regarded himself as the Lord’s special guest. David had been invited to dine now and forever at the Lord’s table and to receive His favorable anointing.
David recognized that his standing was not merely that of a short-term visitor who would be entertained once and then sent on his way. Nor would he be invited to return for a meal only occasionally. David rejoiced that he had been granted the high honor of a perpetual place setting at the Lord’s supper table.
The statement “You anoint my head with oil” also symbolized David’s gladness of heart. Oil is elsewhere associated in the Bible with joy (Isaiah 61:3; Hebrews 1:9). David felt so blessed by his Host’s gracious abundance, always providing more than he needed, that his cup of joy was at the spilling point. Another psalmist expressed similar satisfaction in the Lord’s favor: “God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy” (Psalm 45:7).
You anoint my head with oil speaks of the Lord’s ministry to refresh David’s heart, particularly in light of the immediate threat of enemies. David imagines himself sitting at the Lord’s banquet table while his adversaries gather all around. Being in God’s presence rejuvenated David, giving him the strength to face all the challenges and pressures of life. His enemies could snarl and roar all they wanted, but in the shelter of God’s presence, David would feast and be refreshed.
With his head anointed and his cup overflowing, David spoke what might be the equivalent to the apostle Paul’s declaration in Romans 8:31–39: “If God is for us, who can be against us? . . . Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? . . . Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? . . . No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life . . . neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
As Christians, we enjoy an intimate relationship with the Lord. We, too, can delight in the comfort of His presence, protection, and care (John 14:23). God has invited us to be honored guests in His eternal home with a permanent place at His banquet table (Isaiah 25; Matthew 22:1–14; Luke 13:29–30; Revelation 19:9; 21:2–4). Like David, we can say, “You anoint my head with oil” because Jesus Christ fills us with joy overflowing, and His joy is the strength of our lives (John 15:11; Psalm 16:11; Nehemiah 8:10).

The War on Farmers started in 1945 by Committee on Economic Development. Traceability does nothing to prevent disease. TESTING prevents disease.
The WTO Agreement on Agriculture (1995) trumped US law. The USDA allow imports without quarantine. “Traceability” and “Risk Assessment” are the WTO replacement for the “Best food safety system in the world” The WTO rules allow multinationals to pass liability to farmers. Consumers are now disease finders instead of lab tests. Without testing corporations can slip out of liability and pass the blame back to farmers not ALLOW to do testing! However traceability is a must..
Since 1995 TB positives show WTO rules has allowed TB into the USA. In CA 10,576 TB tests were run in 1995 but was cut to 1,425 by 1999. The US now finds TB in Mexican cattle in several states. Interesting how many are picking up on the concept of MEDICAL TSUNAMI regarding the incoming disaster of the COVID-19 “vaccines”-induced injuries, illnesses, disabilities, and deaths. MEDICAL TSUNAMI was used to describe the situation on this board awhile ago.
The issue of “telling the truth” about the COVID-19 “vaccines” and how dangerous / deadly they are, to “vaccinated” family and friends, is potentially a difficult choice for the “unvaccinated” to have to make. IMO, it is a fair argument to posit that innumerable family / friends relationships are already taxed to the utmost between the “vaccinated” and the “unvaccinated” in these relationships — even if there is currently a kind of “uneven detente” in evidence. Now comes the presenting of COVID-19 “vaccines”-induced negative consequences among the “vaccinated.” This is aside from “telling the truth” about these “vaccines” to a “vaccinated” healthcare professional.

Hey Guys, the kids & I made it Up North on Thursday afternoon & spent much of the rest of that day getting things at my parents’ Cottage situated, especially the water system. Thankfully there were no leaks!!! With some tutorials, from afar, from Hubby we got the pump & water heater working. We were pleased to find no problems with the fridge or stove & no dead animals (once we had to deal with a dead baby squirrel inside–yuck). Hubby was going to come up early Saturday but picked up some type of bug in the middle of the night Thursday/Friday, so missed work & now the vacation trip. He’s on the upswing but not feeling great, though well enough to make a batch of cookies, but then the man has a Serious Sweet Tooth!
Friday the kids I I tackled the leaves in a 20+ man-hour endeavor, including 3 separate runs to the local public works where they allow people to dump yard waste & pick up dirt & mulch for free, a very nice feature of this small town. My daughter climbed up on the roof to clear off a lot of the detritus, which is usually Brandon’s job, but his firefighting/EMT schedule won’t let him leave town This particular holiday. She & I have been alternating cooking duties too so we’re doing OK. I got rewarded w/ “Lillian likes your cooking “Grandma”” for a chicken & rice creation that was making do w/ stuff we’d brought & Cottage stock–Sweet!
My parents made the trek North on Saturday, instead of Friday as they’d planned, & arrived in time for Dad to enjoy another sunset over the lake, something he partakes of nearly every evening he’s up here. He also coached Clarissa in lighting the furnace, which is thankfully operational, as some of the nights have been dropping into the 40’s still. We had weather into the 70’s on leaf day & the 60’s yesterday. There is expected intermittent rain.
It sure is nice to be Up North again! Wish more of the family could have made it this trip but w/ a smaller gang the chaos just Might stay down to a dull roar. The kids & I have been playing an old school Nintendo game, Dr. Mario, to much laughter 🙂

Dad & Clarissa were talking how that Aunt Pat is hoping to celebrate her 90th birthday w/ another Mackinac Bridge Walk, like we did for her 85th & Dad’s 80th. She turns 90 in December of ’26 so I don’t know if she’d want the walk in that year, but before her B-Day or once she’s “officially” 90. Hope she/we live long enough to decide!

I found this quite shocking. What this “planning director” doesn’t seem to realize is that she is eviscerating our own culture. The supper that the church members plan and rely on for fundraising and fellowship is evidently seen as a complete waste of time to the person in this government seat.
Perhaps, in her view, it’s preferable that America’s culture be sacrificed to third world needs when decisions are to be made. In order to counteract this not so subtle anti Americanism, more patriots need to run for grassroots office.

In the legal world 70 is not that old, but being a diabetic for that long is hard on the body. Saw a couple articles where she required emergency medical care in her home for blood sugar issues.
The diabetes is a major issue since the damage of blood sugar too high and then too low from the older method of timed injections has already been done.
She is the same age as my friends.

Agreed – Poland was once master of Ukraine, and they are signaling that if Russia goes for a bigger carve-up, Poland will demand a slice of the pie – as will Hungary, IMO. Both have many ethnics in Ukraine.
IMO the signal is being made that Russia coming all the way to Poland in Ukraine is unacceptable, and that is a pretext for this truer position of demanding to be part of the vulture feast. Russia gets the message that it doesn’t have to go all the way, and would not want to anyway, but has successfully used the threat to weaken the West’s unity on recovering all of Ukraine.
Not sure what Sweden’s real angle is here, but it may be that if a bigger war breaks out, the Russians will likely have to deal with the Baltic pathway, and that gets messy with Sweden. That then gives the Swedes a card to play themselves deeper into NATO protection and resources.

So the choice was to be injected with an untested, experimental vaccine, which could easily be harmful or deadly, created by all the wrong people and pushed by even worse people… or take a year off from playing golf on the PGA tour.
It’s a tough call.
As far as I know, you can’t play on the PGA tour if you’re dead, so that should probably be a factor in the decision-making process.
OR get tested with a Chinee brain tickler.
If you mean the totally unnecessary stick-up-the-schnoz to rub who-knows-what’s on the end of that chinee swab against the blood-brain barrier, I would (and did) pass on that too, because nobody could explain why a simple NON-INVASIVE spit test wouldn’t work just as well.
I searched for Covid saliva tests, and they had them in Australia, so the non-invasive saliva test (just spit in a tube) was 100% viable from a testing standpoint (never mind that all the Covid tests were designed to return false positives to jack up the number of Covid cases), but nobody in Australia would export them.
So it came back to a simple question: Why in the world would I let someone jam a 7″ chinee swab up my nose?
It looked really uncomfortable, and considering chinee is A) a communist adversary and B) there was a good chance the virus came from chinee in the first place, why would I trust an invasive chinee product — or any chinee product, at all?
I wouldn’t.
Besides that, it’s assault and battery.
I would defend myself before anyone got close to my nose with one of those things.
So I sorta get the impression that I really wasn’t cut out for the whole covid psy-op, either testing or treatment.
Even if I had wanted to participate, it was just one red flag after another.
No way were they getting near me with that weapon!
I essentially ‘opted out’ for the year.

The choices of antibiotics that can be [possibly successfully] used against bad cases of pneumonia is, IMO, a relatively short list—vancomycin; invanz; and a few others.
There is also the potential for heavy doses of these antibiotics to cross the Blood-Brain Barrier.
IMO, it’s crucial that all people get and keep their natural immune system as healthy and strong as possible.
