It’s not as hard as it looks if you keep all pictures in chronological order, and a list of links saved to notepad or some other simple word processing program. Just copy and paste as you read during the day.

Every few hours I sit down and check all commands as I like to call it being of the Star Wars generation. Tasks during the day include walking for at least an hour, and housework among other things. When my mom was with us, there was a lot more to do, but it was mostly close to home. Dad, not so much.
You read so many varied and interesting things during the day. Lots of laughs too! Thank you for sharing your daily browse.

My sweet Aunt Vi saved baby food jars and had a closet full of clean, empty ones. My mom thought that was a little excessive. hahaha
I should have asked Vi for a few jars for the various book shelves I’ve assembled over the years that had extra parts. Instead, I dumped them together in one container and have no idea what they were for.
Vi was a wonderful mom to her son who was born when she was older (late 40s as I remember). He was perfect, handsome, smart, and adored. He became a chemical engineer.
His dad Fred was my Dad’s older brother. Fred was a welder with a great sense of humor. Fred & Vi had the first color TV in our extended family and we lived just a few blocks apart. We got to watch The Wizard of Oz at their house. I remember Vi made us popcorn in neat little wooden bowls.
I so wish I had a photo of Fred’s mailbox post. It was a very large welded creation of various pieces of iron in a general L shape with the arm extending toward the road holding the mailbox. Some of the pieces of iron were curved.
Fred taught me how to make things with fiberglass. He and his wife built their own boat of fiberglass that reminded me of a fish with an enclosed front where they could sleep. They took it to the head waters of the Mississippi and back home to Missouri.
Fred and Vi’s son, John, was taught to play the accordion by their neighbor man. I don’t know anyone who learned to play that instrument. So much fun!!!
my Dad played the accordion and even had a polka band. I loved listening to him and it engendered in me a desire to learn an instrument. i took piano lessons. Dad was the best father–taught me to love music, how to draw and listening him tell jokes to everyone made me laugh and want to make others laugh. thanks for reminding me Barb!

Back in the day, radio licenses east of the Mississippi started with W, like WGBH Boston; while licenses west of the Mississippi started with K, like KQED San Francisco.
The reason my two examples have four letters is because the early, early, early pioneers were all AM stations (because cheap FM hadn’t been invented yet), so three letter station identifiers like KFI (AM 640 Los Angeles) were all taken.

In the late ’60s, I was told that when driving in Mexico, looking at the other car was an automatic surrender of the right-of-way.
IOW if two cars reached a 4-way stop intersection at the same time [one on the cross street], both drivers would stop and stare straight ahead for some ridiculous amount of time until one gave up and looked at the other who promptly squealed his tires thus registering his displeasure at being kept waiting.
Maybe this is Cackle’s diplomatic strategy if threatened – don’t acknowledge the other side, and we’ll be safe.

I drove a rental car in Boston while attending a Mac Developer conference in August 1985. Lots of one-way streets.
I experienced the behavior you describe and called it: “You look, you lose.”
A policeman was in the middle of a Boston intersection. There was a bridge to my right that would take me back downtown. I needed to drive straight through the intersection. The policeman blocked going straight ahead, but I could see no reason why.
Traffic at my left was allowed to turn left and go through the intersection. Traffic to my right were allowed to turn right and go through the intersection in the direction I needed to go.
So I turned right, and did a U-turn just before the bridge’s overhead spans started.
I came back to the intersection and was allowed to turn right. The policeman gave me a thumbs up. Still no idea why I couldn’t go straight through unless rental cars are not allowed to go straight through certain intersections.

BTW Sundance says the video is random, which may be true, but we do not even know the ultimate provenance regardless of what we are told, and the video looks to me as if it may have been taken by the conspirators themselves for later release precisely to spawn inconclusive speculation.

We attended a smallish wedding on Saturday in a community about an hour NE of Metro Detroit & passed into another outlying small town for the reception. While off the highway, 15-20 minutes, I counted the signs/flags for candidates on our way to/from these events.
On the way out there were 8-9 supporting Trump & 2 for Kamala. On the way back there were 9-12 (I didn’t “firmly” see some since going 55 & swinging my head side to side to see both sides of the road) & 1 for Kamala. Quite a few homes flew American flags & had no political signs.
The One for Kamala was a rabid lefty w/ signs butted up against each other all along the property line at the road’s edge. Most were hand painted but we were going so fast I couldn’t read very many. One said “Trump Putin’s Bitch”…
Most all of the Trump signs were just saying “Trump” or “Trump 2024”. I think there was only One Trump Vance sign. Multiple Trump support indicators were large flags, but most of these were on porches so harder to see since the wind was down. No one had over the top Trump stuff like the rabid lefty did.
We also saw a few cars with Trump stickers or flags, but not many.
Hubby mentioned that when he is making deliveries on his job once he’s off the beaten path ALL he ever sees is Trump signs! His company’s “home base” (for Michael) is in the Brighton area 1/2 N or Ann Arbor. His deliveries are usually around Metro Detroit but he has ranged N to Pontiac, W to Jackson, & S to Ohio on occasion too.
Based on this unscientific evidence it would appear that Michigan, at least outside of the Detroit Metropolitan area, is very solidly behind Donald Trump!
PS the wedding was held in a lovely 110 year old stone church, quite lovely, picture doesn’t do it justice though. There were a couple adjacent stone buildings in the complex too. It was a bit like stepping back in time, which was rather a treat for us 🙂

I saw my first “factual” pro-Trump fact check on a network station yesterday. They actually proved the 21 second pause by Trump at the rally was due to a medical emergency in the crowd and actually showed him asking for any doctor in the house to help. It was so obvious the attacks were not true they will probably use that as proof they are fair to both sides. Nope, not falling for that one ever.

Instead of targeting grocery stores, which operate on a thin 2% net profit margin, Comrade Kamala should go after the obvious price-gouging entities, and the ones that clearly contribute to the high inflation.
The first target should be colleges and universities. They have used the government’s “generosity” on loans and grants to increase tuition and fees much faster than inflation for sixty years; on loans alone, there is a $1.74 trillion debt, which causes inflation. Kamala should tell rich universities like Harvard and Yale that they can only charge 10% higher tuition and fees than the average university throughout the country. That is pretty generous, and should be supported by professors and administrators who almost universally vote for Democrats, and who indoctrinate students into believing big government is great. Anything above the additional 10% markup is obviously pure greed and price-gouging.
She should also force these universities to pay off student loans when the students can’t, or don’t want to. Somehow, Democrats seek to destroy for-profit universities if they break their promises, yet never go after not for profit or public universities. That doesn’t seem fair, does it? And Democrats always want to be fair.
Next, Kamala should target media outlets for demanding more money for political ads during periods of high demand. Their costs don’t rise during those times, so why are they so greedy and obviously gouging when they charge so much more just because the demand is higher? That is obviously pure greed and gouging.
The media and other Democrats should support these price controls since they decry big money in politics. They are also big supporters of diversity, equity, and inclusion and we would get a much more diverse set of politicians if incumbents with huge campaign chests didn’t have such a great advantage in getting reelected.
Then, she should go after media outlets for charging more for ads on popular programs than programs that don’t have as high ratings. That increases prices for consumers and prices out small- and medium-sized companies who don’t have the money to buy the ads. This should be a popular solution for Democrats because they say their goal is to help the poor and middle classes and their current pricing system rewards the richest companies.
Why do the talking heads on The View get paid so much for contributing so little? That looks like pure greed and gouging, and since Whoopi and Joy gave Kamala their full-throated support, then they should cheer price and wage controls on them, shouldn’t they?
Another great idea would be to impose price controls on the Washington D.C. area. Many of the counties around D.C. are the richest in the country, even though they produce nothing but bureaucracy. Comrade Kamala should tell the residents that they are not allowed to sell their houses for anything higher than the median price of the same-sized house in the country. Why should people in D.C. get more for their house than a person in Mississippi that has worked their whole life producing things? There is clearly no reason houses and wages are higher priced in DC than in Mississippi other than greed and gouging is there?
The sensible Soviet-style controls I am suggesting above would be a good start to achieving the major goals of Democrats to reduce wealth and income inequality. The D.C. voters overwhelmingly vote for Democrats, so I am sure they would be supportive. The lawyers, lobbyists, and media pundits should cheer.
I think Kamala and other Democrats should campaign loudly on their policies to control profits and prices, to move towards socialism, to require girls and women to compete in sports and share their locker rooms with men, to force people to get rid of their reliable gas vehicles and appliances, to block poor and minority children from going to better schools, and to have abortion on demand just like China and North Korea. Those should be big winners with voters.
Of course, the complicit media will do their best to hide the Democrats radical policies from the voters just like they hid the Biden family corruption, and while Kamala dictates how we all must live, its members continue to lie that Trump is the dictator.

Boys swam nude for swimming all four years of my high school, and we showered together beforehand. Could be I was dense, but during that time I did not notice a single instance nor hear a single comment about the preactice being unusual. If anything, the attitude might have been more like “of course boys swim nude.”
It was only years later where I had a question mark behind the experience, and it did not have to do with the nude swimming itself, which even now seems OK.
It had to do with the procedure between the shower and the nude swimming. The gym/health teacher, who somehow would up in Buffalo despite being unmistakably English, would sit in a chair at the entrance to the pool and would conduct an inspection of each boy.
The inspection consisted of rubbing the concave areas of the foot next to the protruding ankle bones. The rubbing was with thumb and index finger. If the rubbing produced dirt (which was not infrequent) the boy was sent back to clean his feet more thoroughly. It still remains rather amazing to me that dirt can be produced this way even when the foot looks perfectly clean, and has been washed already.
Years later when I thought about this, it first occurred to me that the process was susceptible of negative interpretation. At the same time, it may well have been just a means for ensuring cleanliness.
I wonder if the process was done at other schools.

Further–records also show that DHS wanted Biden’s WH general counsel involved in reviewing the final report. This appears to be highly unusual in the inspector general process, which is supposed to be independent from outside influence.
The general counsel for DHS is longtime Biden crony Jonathan Meyer. He worked for Biden in the Senate then the Obama DOJ and DHS.

Yet all their alternative energy schemes are far more toxic, polluting and dangerous than farming. Their main goal is government control of farming and industry.
The totalitarian oligarchs will allow a few boutique farms to grow vegetables and meat for the themselves – but the general populace will either starve or eat bugs and acorns.
Western nations are under leadership that is in rebellion against GOD – and have forged laws that enable us to break all of GOD’s Commandments and some that would force us to do so.
Unless we repent and wrest the control of our governments away from these evil godless lawless people, our nation will continue to be an affront to GOD and we cannot prosper and our people will starve. It’s a spiritual principle.
Leviticus 26:14-26
14 “But if you will not listen to me and will not do all these commandments,

18 And if in spite of this you will not listen to me, then I will discipline you again sevenfold for your sins,

20 And your strength shall be spent in vain, for your land shall not yield its increase, and the trees of the land shall not yield their fruit.
21 “Then if you walk contrary to me and will not listen to me, I will continue striking you, sevenfold for your sins.
22 And I will let loose the wild beasts against you, which shall bereave you of your children and destroy your livestock and make you few in number, so that your roads shall be deserted.
23 “And if by this discipline you are not turned to me but walk contrary to me,
24 then I also will walk contrary to you, and I myself will strike you sevenfold for your sins.
25 And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall execute vengeance for the covenant. And if you gather within your cities, I will send pestilence among you, and you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
26 When I break your supply of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in a single oven and shall dole out your bread again by weight, and you shall eat and not be satisfied.”

Evening Prayer For Forgiveness
Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.
Give me a good night’s sleep I pray, knowing that there is no condemnation because I am in Christ, and may I wake up in the morning refreshed and ready to do Your will. In Jesus’ name I pray,

Evening Prayer For Future Guidance
Heavenly Father, as I lie down to sleep tonight, I pray that You would guard my sleeping and protect my mind from wandering thoughts and unnecessary planning. Teach me to wait for Your perfect timing and not to try to plan my future in my own strength.
Lord, I know that You have scheduled every day of my life. Help me to trust You in all things and rely on You to lead me along the straight path and guide me in the direction that You would have me to go.
Give me patience to wait for Your perfect timing, and may I not trust in my own abilities and scheming, but rather rest in Your love and trust my future into Your hands.
And so now Lord, I commit this night to you, asking that I would rest soundly and wake refreshed and strong to do Your bidding. This I ask in Jesus’ precious name,

Praise Your holy name Heavenly Father, for granting yet another day in my life and for being with me every step of the way. Thank You for the many blessings that You have provided and the love and fellowship that I have with the friends and family that in Your grace You have placed in my life.
My heart is so thankful for all the many blessings that I enjoy day by day, and today I am once again reminded that Your mercies are new every morning and Your faithfulness endures from generation to generation.
Thank You, that I have been brought into Your family and have been made a child of God and a citizen of heaven. Words cannot express my love and devotion to You Lord
I pray that You would watch over me as I rest tonight, and that You would give me a restful nights sleep so that I may wake up in the morning refreshed in body and spirit and ready to do Your will.
