One Thanksgiving, I sat down, and my one $#!+ disturber brother said [DePat], go get me a beer. I said, you’ve got two arms and two legs, get it yourself. My grandma, God rest her, LIT INTO ME.
My poor grandmother almost never sat down until halfway through a meal. But that’s not how it works in my house!
My grandmother chose to wait on people. Of course, at one time, she was a waitress.
As long as she didn’t bring you a bill at the end of the meal …
After the restaurant she ran died (not her fault), grandma waited tables at the restaurant in one of the department stores. There were fashion shows on an elevated platform in the middle. She and mom used to take us out there when we were little and show us off. Whole chocolate milk and a PB&J…no wonder I can’t stomach milk.
Mom did too–for company. for the rest of us, we waited on her and her dad when we were old enough.
Mom thought of it as being a good hostess.
Getting used to my daughter’s multicultural inlaws big dinners was trippy. The women always made the men’s plates and brought them to each.
At first it surprised me but as I got to know them well..lol, it seemed like part of the tradition was to keep the menfolk out of their pristine kitchens. No slopping food on the stove or counters, ice cubes left to melt on the floor and whatever other things men apparently can’t see! 😄
Breadcrumbs around the toaster, used glasses on a clean dishtowel…I could write a book.
My daughter has 3 boys..I can’t tell you the amount of times she says…USE your girl eyes and you’ll see it…could be any number of things directly in front of them

It seems that the upper hinge pin on the front door had worked loose about an inch-and-a-half. It was the only pin that wasn’t snugly in place, which was odd. I went out to the garage, grabbed a hammer, came back, and tapped it back down.

MASSIVE excitement last night during rehearsal at the Cathedral Basilica. Unfortunately, the way it was reported on the news, the general public doesn’t know the whole story…like the ladies’ sectional interrupted by thumping which turned out to be vandalism. All the city knows is a statue was vandalized. I never really liked it, but still, private property was destroyed. Police were present when the choir left last night.
Whoa! Who was behind this vandalism?
A single man as far as we know. Info not made public by the police or the archdiocese indicates he was “under the influence” and not by booze. Our choir director’s truck was vandalized in addition to the statue and the temporary rest room trailers while the rest rooms are being renovated. It’s anticipated the truck is totaled. We will see.
For the future, off duty police will be on campus for rehearsals. It won’t cost that much, but this is the first time in decades I can remember that neighborhood needing such security, and that’s my stomping grounds.
Sorry to hear it happened, but glad it was just one perp, under the influence, and not a group attack with an agenda. Or at least, not a group outside the guy’s noggin!

I think it’s very sad that the sculptor made it out of stainless steel, thinking that it could last thousands of years, incorruptible. Didn’t even make it a few decades before being vandalized.
And the truly ironic thing is…there are panels on the Arch that are rusted to the point that they need to be replaced. What’s holding it up is the carbon steel on the inside. I can’t remember what the shape is called.

NOT ONLY is there a concern regarding the blood that this young woman is receiving — at 0:11 in the video, the doctor ALSO confirms that if she had been transferred to another hospital, it would AGAIN have been MEDICAL RESIDENTS who would be taking care of her. The doctor then stated that Alexis needs “expert care.”
So, here’s the deal:
Young woman is admitted to the hospital for treatment for a pre-existing condition.
Admitting / attending MD refuses to give proper treatment until the young woman receives THREE different vaccines. The patient is given the vaccines AT THE SAME TIME, ONE AFTER THE OTHER.
The patient IMMEDIATELY begins to have SERIOUS and LIFE-THREATENING reactions to the vaccines.
The patient is then given BLOOD PRODUCTS — blood products which may have been tainted with spike protein from COVID-19 “vaccinated” donors. NOBODY KNOWS EXACTLY how long the spike protein from a COVID-19 “vaccination” circulates in the blood of the “vaccinated” person. What IS known is that the COVID-19 “vaccines” induce things like MICROSCOPIC BLOOD CLOTS in the blood of the “vaccinated” person (proven by Dr. Charles Hoffe — who, by the way, is fighting his medical licensing board, which has instituted legal action to revoke his License to Practice Medicine.)
The patient is then supposed to be “transferred to another facility”, but this order is cancelled. The young woman is instead transferred to the ICU of the admitting hospital.
Her care is now under the purview of senior physicians on staff.
Yours Truly has no beef with Medical Residents in general. In fact, it was a Resident in Emergency Surgery who literally pushed the inguinal hernia that had popped in one’s abdomen BACK INTO PLACE so that the emergency surgery to repair it was a laparoscopic surgery, NOT a “cut all across the abdomen” surgery.
However, it appears that in the situation with the young woman above, there were MULTIPLE signals that SHOULD HAVE, IMO, alerted the Attending MD to IMMEDIATELY transfer care to senior physician staff WITHIN THE SAME HOSPITAL — instead of trying for a “transfer to another facility”.
Here’s another detail: the videos, photos, and the broadcasting of these on social media AND the internet, regarding what happened to this young woman — videos and photos that, by their being spread all over the world, likely, IMO, saved her life.
The lawsuit filed by this woman and her family ought to be big enough to own that hospital several times over.
The fact that a doctor involved in her treatment is allowed to make any public statement about her is proof that the hospital is scared about getting sued , imo.
His statement about the blood transfusions with possible vax in them is also a hedge on their culpability because IIRC she gave permission for transfusions. I’m not as trusting as some about the doc’s motive about this update transparency.
They ought to be scared about making her start a go-fund-me to cover $700K (and counting) in medical bills for injury caused by the hospital.
Talk about adding insult to injury.
You go in for whatever, they try to kill you, and then they’re going to ruin you financially before they try to fix the damage they did.
She should own every hospital in the city before this is over, and the medical boards too.

On the bright side, I’m trying to figure out the legal argument that can force the legal system to establish that a DNA profile is the ID of a specific human being.
Some work in this area is being done by idealistic prosecutors seeking to evade the statute of limitations on sex crimes. IOW, file charges in the name of a DNA profile instead of the name of a suspect. Then when the guy gets arrested, they just swap in his name for the ‘placeholder’ DNA’ profile.

“The Attorney General Merrick Garland just vetoed charging Ryan Routh with attempted assassination. So I want you to think about what the thought process of Merrick Garland must be. He must somehow think that this man was in that bush on that golf course for some other reason.
Even though this man, Ryan Routh, has actually written and published a book where he calls for the assassination of Donald Trump. This man then went and camped out in a bush on Donald Trump’s golf course for more than 12 hours with body armor and a fully loaded SKS.
Like, sure, the rifle you could explain away, but the body armor, you only have body armor if you expect for rounds to be fired at you. And I don’t know any animals he’d be hunting with opposable thumbs, so I can only surmise that he was worried about people shooting at him.
There he was camped out in a bush on Donald Trump’s golf course, waiting on the 6th hole while Donald Trump was on the 5th hole minutes away from being within range of him. And thankfully, the secret service was able to notice the barrel of his rifle sticking out of that bush, and then they opened fire, he fled, and he was eventually apprehended.
But to not charge him with attempted assassination, that means that Merrick Garland has found some reason to think that Ryan Ruth was there for some other reason, wearing body armor and carrying a fully loaded rifle.

This was an interesting interview / update about the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. It has espionage, intrigue, alien technology, and apparently two videos that have been secretly released by some insider, showing the plane disappear into some void.
One video is taken from a U.S. drone, part of which is visible in the video footage (I forget the name of the drone type, but everyone would recognize it), and the other video footage is from U.S. satellites.
Supposedly (as discussed) the two videos can be (were) synchronized, proving the authenticity of the video from different angles.
