I am still dealing with farm issues but wanted to get out this quick article.
First, all the rain this last month or so has meant my hay guy has no hay to sell. So I went to buy Abrussi Rye for winter grazing only to find the place I buy from could not get any help so no 50 lb bags for sale. We ended up with a TON (2000 lbs) in a large industrial sized bag. 😱 Thank goodness for great neighbors. My dually and that bag of seed is in a neighbor’s barn at night for the last week.
I mention this because of the larger ramifications. You need dry weather to cure and bale hay and this fall so far has been very wet. Now a large swath of hay producers has been wiped out for this season so expect meat prices to go down and then surge as farmers sell off the animals they can not feed this winter.
Then there is the mess in Western North Carolina and other states. FEMA is being the usual pain in the rump from what I understand. I had seen a comment saying that FEMA was confiscating food and water from the victims. Unfortunately this is NOT at all unlikely.

It is very very simple a bureaucrat’s main goal in life is covering his butt. The more bureaucrats and the more area covered the worse the muck-up. During Katrina, the goal of FEMA was not to rescue people, but to control them. Their directive was to relocate families and businesses, confiscate property, commandeer goods, direct labor and services, and establish martial law. This is what they did. The goal was never to carry out an effective rescue operation it was to protect the government from chaos and establish martial law. THAT is what governments (and bureaucracies) always do, they protect themselves first last and always.
As can be seen the help was there during Katrina but FEMA PREVENTED the help and helpers from reaching those in need because their priority was CONTROL not RESCUE.

In the midst of administering chest compressions to a dying woman several days after Hurricane Katrina struck, Dr. Mark N. Perlmutter was ordered to stop by a federal official because he wasn’t registered with the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
“I begged him to let me continue,” said Perlmutter, who left his home and practice as an orthopedic surgeon in Pennsylvania to come to Louisiana and volunteer to care for hurricane victims. “People were dying, and I was the only doctor on the tarmac (at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport) where scores of nonresponsive patients lay on stretchers. Two patients died in front of me.
“I showed him (the U.S. Coast Guard official in charge) my medical credentials. I had tried to get through to FEMA for 12 hours the day before and finally gave up. I asked him to let me stay until I was replaced by another doctor, but he refused. He said he was afraid of being sued. I informed him about the Good Samaritan laws and asked him if he was willing to let people die so the government wouldn’t be sued, but he would not back down. I had to leave.”
FEMA issued a formal response to Perlmutter’s story, acknowledging that the agency does not use voluntary physicians….
“…crews for three U.S. Customs Blackhawk helicopters stationed at Crestview Airport in Florida are “livid” because they have not been directed to provide full-time support for the ongoing hurricane-relief…Conrad says instead of helping people left desperate in the wake of Katrina’s wrath, the Blackhawk’s actually were slated to transport a CNN news crew to take video shots of those people.” LINK

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11051 specifies the responsibility of the Office of Emergency Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders into effect in times of increased international tensions and economic or financial crisis. EXECUTIVE ORDER 11310 grants authority to the Department of Justice to enforce the plans set out in Executive Orders, to institute industrial support, to establish judicial and legislative liaison, to control all aliens, to operate penal and correctional institutions, and to advise and assist the President. Hospitals to begin monitoring your credit card purchases to flag ‘unhealthy’ habits
What you buy at the grocery store, where you live, and even your membership status at the local gym are all subject to a new data collection scheme by the American medical system. Reports indicate that hospitals and doctors’ offices all across the country are now collecting this and other personal information in order to target individuals deemed to have “unhealthy” lifestyle habits that put them at high risk of disease.
Bloomberg reports that hospital systems in both North and South Carolina as well as Pennsylvania have already begun tracking people’s food-purchasing habits by spying on them through public records and credit card transactions. Carolinas HealthCare System (CHS), which operates some 900 care centers throughout the Carolinas, has teamed up with a data-mining company to compile and track this information for the later purpose of calling “high-risk” folks and urging them to make a change.
“What we are looking to find are people before they end up in trouble,” stated Michael Dulin, chief clinical officer for analytics and outcomes at CHS, to Bloomberg. “The idea is to use big data and predictive models to think about population health and drill down to the individual levels to find someone running into trouble that we can reach out to and try to help out.”

I agree completely with the “do it quietly” mind set…. But in this case the Dept. of Ag was visiting all the homes in a neigborhood.“A person from the US Dept of Agriculture came to my door and asked me a bunch of questions which boiled down to whether or not I store food. My daughter has ONE pet chicken, and this woman was looking at the chicken and asking if I have any others, etc. Do I garden? Any other animals? Also, she had a list in her hand of all my neighbors, and was planning to see all of them, too.”
Actually, I did see a congresscritter once who stated that the government really needed to either stop or put some guidelines out about people raising their own food. He said that most people did not know how to do it safely.
Gardening is the same way. Technically it is illegal….I couldn’t find the garden thing specifically. This was something a professor pointed out to me, though I did find it odd as well. It was somehow tied into “affecting interstate commerce” This clause however, seems to provide a loophole for anything the govt wishes to do.

Trojan Horse Law: The Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009
…. Lori Robertson of FactCheck.org, who is not a lawyer (she has a B.A. in advertising), claims the bill doesn’t apply to “that tomato plant in your backyard.”
As a lawyer, I am skeptical of this claim (I co-represented the prevailing defendant in the last successful constitutional challenge to federal regulation under the interstate commerce clause, United States v. Morrison (2000), one of only two cases in 70 years in which a challenge was successful). Congress’s power under the Constitution’s Commerce Clause is almost unlimited in the eyes of the courts, and thus can reach the “tomato plant in your backyard.”
…..Ignorance about the law’s broad reach (and how it will be construed by the courts) has thwarted opposition to the bill, which will likely pass Congress. For example, a newspaper claims the bill “doesn’t regulate home gardens.” The newspaper probably assumed that was true because the bill, like most federal laws, only purports to reach activities that affect “interstate commerce.” To an uninformed layperson or journalist, that “sounds as if it might not reach local and mom-and-pop operators at all.” (The bill’s sponsor, Rep. Rosa DeLauro, has sought to forestall opposition to her bill by falsely claiming that that “the Constitution’s commerce clause prevents the federal government from regulating commerce that doesn’t cross state lines.”)…
But lawyers familiar with our capricious legal system know better. The Supreme Court ruled in Wickard v. Filburn (1942) that even home gardens (in that case, a farmer’s growing wheat for his own consumption) are subject to federal laws that regulate interstate commerce. Economists and scholars have criticized this decision, but it continues to be cited and followed in Supreme Court rulings, such as those applying federal anti-drug laws to consumption of even home-grown medical marijuana. Indeed, many court decisions allow Congress to define as “interstate commerce” even non-commercial conduct that doesn’t cross state lines — something directly at odds with Rep. DeLauro’s claims.
And that brings us to THE GOVERNMENT AND ANTI-HOARDING

(2) the Secretary of Energy with respect to all forms of energy;
(3) the Secretary of Health and Human Services with respect to health resources;
(4) the Secretary of Transportation with respect to all forms of civil transportation; (5) the Secretary of Defense with respect to water resources; and
(6) the Secretary of Commerce with respect to all other materials, services, and facilities, including construction materials….
She then goes on to say:
These EOs are not aimed at anti-hoarding but rather at seizure or confiscation of items and facilities “to provide a state of readiness in these resource areas with respect to all conditions of national emergency, including attack upon the United States.” You’ll find most ‘seizure’ legislation ends with this phrase. These Executive Orders don’t define what specifically constitutes a national emergency and maybe this is as it should be. The specifics on hoarding are left up to the individual states.
However she did not actually look at the 1950 DEFENSE PRODUCTION.
SUBCHAPTER I—PRIORITIES AND ALLOCATIONS Section 4512. Hoarding of designated scare materials.
§4512. Hoarding of designated scarce materials
In order to prevent hoarding, no person shall accumulate
(1) in excess of the reasonable demands of business, personal, or home consumption, or
(2) for the purpose of resale at prices in excess of prevailing market prices,
materials which have been designated by the President as scarce materials or materials the supply of which would be threatened by such accumulation. The President shall order published in the Federal Register, and in such other manner as he may deem appropriate, every designation of materials the accumulation of which is unlawful and any withdrawal of such designation. In making such designations the President may prescribe such conditions with respect to the accumulation of materials in excess of the reasonable demands of business, personal, or home consumption as he deems necessary to carry out the objectives of this chapter. This section shall not be construed to limit the authority contained in .

EO #11051 is interesting; it authorizes FEMA near-total power in times of crisis….
FEMA was created by President Carter under Executive Order #12148. Its legal authorization is Title 42, United States Code 5121 (42 USC Sec. 5121) called the “Stafford Act.” During activation of Executive Orders, FEMA answers only to the National Security Council which answers only to the President. Once these powers are invoked, not even Congress can intervene or countermand them for six months….
Who will determine how much food we can have in our house? FEMA.
And the amount depends on the needs of all…not your needs or my needs…but the “welfare” of the needy.
Again, she gets it incorrect. FEMA’s job is the orderly distribution of supplies. The 1950 law confiscates and the 1988 law distributes.

For Hawaii, this information will be found in Title 10 under “Public Safety”. It is located after legislation on militias, state guard troops, etc. Then you find the jewel… In Hawaii you are considered a “hoarder” if you have more than one week’s provisions on hand BUT you have to dig to uncover this information. Here is a specific example:

(1) Prevention of *hoarding, waste, etc. To the extent necessary to prevent hoarding, waste, or destruction of materials, supplies, commodities, accommodations, facilities, and services, to effectuate equitable distribution thereof, or to establish priorities therein as the public welfare may require, to investigate, and any other law to the contrary notwithstanding, to regulate or prohibit, by means of licensing, rationing, or otherwise, the storage, transportation, use, possession, maintenance, furnishing, sale, or distribution thereof, and any business or any transaction related thereto.”

IG report says FEMA is sitting on billions while Mayorkas says no more funds, agency is broke
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas faces a new firestorm of criticism for claiming FEMA is out of disaster funds right as the DHS’ Inspector General released a report saying FEMA is sitting on at least $8.3 billion in untapped, unspent funds.
On Oct 2, Mayorkas said, “We are expecting another hurricane hitting. We do not have the funds. FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season and what is imminent.”
This new controversy is surfacing as Hurricane Milton has become a Category 5 storm, and massive evacuations are now underway in Florida, which is still struggling from Hurricane Helene, as is much of the Southeast….

We should be OK, a neighbor is going to bale some of his fescue in sq bales (40 – 60 lbs) for us instead of the round bales (600 – 900 lbs) that are just too difficult for us to use at our age. I can not just put a round bale out with ponies. I did it once and lost one pony to heaves (horse asthma,) a second pony lost an eye, 2 more became very sick with heaves… NOT DOING THAT AGAIN!!!
So we used to unroll the bale and fork it into the paddocks. Very labor & time intensive and a real pain. We unroll the round bales for the goats and sheep but feed square bales to the ponies.
Again we have really great neighbors!!!
Do the round bales become moldy? I’m wondering what the allergen (or whatever) is that causes the heaves.

It is over eating grain that causes colic or a sudden switch in feed.

This link said that the round bales are less likely to become moldy because they are more dense and moisture resistant.
The problem is the outer layer on the round bale. Generally the animals will eat the middle first and the outer moldy layer falls on their faces.
That is why we will unroll a bale and feed it in sections.
Yes, hay has mold and some ponies/horses are allergic to that mold. Before Stanlee started making pelleted hay, it was SOP to wash down the hay ‘flakes’ you fed to a horse with heaves.

Fortunately, when I get home, I will be able to talk with my older brother who worked for a farmer for about 40 years. That farmer harvested 700 acres when I asked one year. To me that is a lot, but not industrial size.
That led me to thinking about very big farms and big government driving small farms out of business. Then my mind jumped to seeing Walmart drive small independent businesses out of our small towns. Many different ways of destroying families. hrmmm… Many things that Trump/Vance could help fix.

The clause, when written, used the word “Regulate”. It’s still there.
When that clause was written, the definition of that word was defined as ‘to make regular’. In other words…to ease commerce…
The word has nothing to do with regulations.
And come to think of it the actual definition makes complete sense. The problems with the misunderstood definition show up bigly in the SCOTUS decision.
Here is a Constitutional Amendment well worth enacting: return the clause to its original definition, and erase the huge damage done. Use the same words otherwise, but substitute an appropriate word for the word regulate.
Altho also come to think of it, Congress can overrule SCOTUS by enacting the definition of the word reulate, can;t it?

Half of me thinks “hiding low protection” is not the real reason – that it’s cover. It’s a more publicly acceptable reason.
The Secret Service likely realizes by now that other government agencies include parties behind the assassination attempts. The USSS may even have identified suspects – and those suspects (deep state members of the administration in CIA, FIB, DHS, etc.) are likely pushing cut-out auditors with phony reasons to get advance information on Trump events.
This is good, in a way. It shows that we have pushed back to the point of visualizing the conspiracy.

The SS has found out who in the government is involved. They want to stop the next try, so they are denying the access. If the players were uncovered right now, it would blow up the country.
They also don’t need the black eye from the very real failures of the SS in protecting Trump.

I made it about halfway through that video. They are presenting nothing new. Lots of information about Operation Popeye, for example, is readily available on the internet, if people will research and separate out the components of these questions and stop conflating weather modification, which has gone on for years, with PROOF that there is the ability to steer a Category 5 hurricane. There is no such proof.
These suspicions and facts are not proof:

“The government is doing secret experiments.”
“The government wants to kill us…take the land…influence the election…” etc.
I don’t see a ground-breaking discovery that proves they are steering hurricanes.
I haven’t watched all of the videos, but in the text he presents not a shred of evidence to support this. Some of the cloud seeding experiments did reduce velocity, but there is no evidence that I’ve seen that they could steer hurricanes. The one that everyone talks about in 1947 was later believed to have been steered by an upper level system.
Tech has moved on. While cloud seeding is still likely used as an assist the tech has moved on to ground and space based assets. Both of which are layered in top secret compartmentalized organizations who are not going to hand over what you seek.
We have been left with the crumbs to piece all this together. We managed to use crumbs for the Election Steal, crumbs to uncover the COVID charade, crumbs to combat the Global Warming Hoax etc… Just keep moving the crumbs around and eventually a picture will form.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

CTA is the for-profit equivalent of Department of the Treasury’s partisan overreach. With the IRS scandal, nonprofit organizations with the word “tea party” and “patriot” were targeted and subjected to further scrutiny and/or outright denial of their tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status. Under the CTA, an overly aggressive anti-Second Amendment bureaucrat could decide to do a word search for “gun,” “firearm,” “patriot,” “freedom,” or similar, and they would have a ready list of small business owners to target, investigate, and audit. It happened before with nonprofits, and it will happen again with “for profit” small businesses.
The true goal of CTA appears to be setting up yet another new database of citizens to monitor, observe, and punish. The federal government is moving quickly to implement the CTA, as millions of small business owners in the United States have no idea this law even exists (only 13 percent of businesses in California, 5 percent in Ohio, and 4 percent in Pennsylvania have registered). Millions of businesses owners face becoming felons in three months unless they comply.
There are currently seven separate lawsuits challenging the validity of the law. Last year, the House of Representatives passed a bill to give businesses more time to comply, but the bill is sitting in the Senate going nowhere. A recent email from their accountant may have been the first time many businesses realized this law exists. The legal confusion and seeming lack of urgency to inform the public suggest that FinCEN’s true intent is to “catch” millions of small business owners in “non-compliance” so that they can be investigated and audited by Department of the Treasury and punished. Serious criminals will not be concerned about paperwork violations. Mandatory compliance is required by January 1, 2025, or business owners will be subjected to hefty fines of $591 dollars per day (or up to 10 percent of a company’s annual receipts) and up to two years in federal prison.
Unconstitutional Power Grab
President Trump vetoed this unconstitutional power grab, as part of the National Defense Authorization Act of 2021, but his veto was overridden. In an unprecedented act of overreach, the feds are moving to collect data on all small business owners, who make up the backbone of the U.S. economy, for reasons that seem murky at best. And the information collected goes to FinCEN, the counterterrorism arm of the Treasury. Business owners have to register with a terrorism department. This seems to infer criminality on millions of law-abiding citizens.
Under CTA, for-profit business entities with fewer than 20 employees and under $5 million in revenue are in the crosshairs. But businesses that make more than $5 million annually, or employ more than 20 full-time employees, are exempt from this invasive self-reporting requirement that could put owners in prison. That means BlackRock, Amazon, Facebook, Pfizer, etc., can operate “business as usual,” but “Grandma’s Donut Shop” will be required to show her “paper’s please” if she wants to make a living.
Massive Economic Surveillance Program
Business registration and entity creation has always been handled at the state level through State Corporation Commissions. With the CTA, even though a business is a registered entity at the state level, if it does not then self-report and register into a criminal database at the federal level, owners will not be able to operate the business. The federal government is overreaching into a state rights issue and creating a massive database in violation of the commerce clause. State attorneys general in every state should be weighing in on this issue. Unfortunately, their silence is deafening.
Every small business owner in America needs to make their voice heard on this issue, and lawyers who care about the future of this country should be lining up to represent them pro bono. CTA is the last nail in the coffin of what remains of the illusion of a “free market” economy in the United States. It is nothing more than a massive economic surveillance program with no discernable oversight.

I just became aware of this on Monday. I went to the website. Business owners required to file this must upload a copy of the driver’s license of any party having “beneficial ownership”. If your business has any change of ownership, you must report it within 30 days. Penalties for late or non-filing include $500 per day penalty up to $10,000 and imprisonment of up to 2 years for the “willful” failure to timely file initial and updated reports.
I have not seen any direct communication to a business from “fincen.gov”. A notice from an accounting firm was passed along to me to look at. The accounting firm explicitly states they are not filing this report for their clients. They suggest their clients file this report themselves and/or seek assistance from their attorney.
In all of my years in bookkeeping/accounting, I have never seen anything like this. All of
the normal taxing agencies send multiple communications regarding new returns or changes to existing returns.
As an aside, our local bank demands to scan my personal driver’s license if my business bank deposit contains cash, regardless of the amount. I could not hate this shit any more.
Gotta suck every last tax dime from the slave class…
sole proprietors are exempt. Great way to make sure a business does not try to grow.

Just The News: “A tornado reportedly touched down in South Florida ahead of Hurricane Milton’s landfall on Wednesday. Milton is now a Category 4 storm with maximum sustained winds of 165 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center.
The National Weather Service Miami released pictures on Wednesday of a tornado crossing Interstate 75 while cars were driving. Local news outlets reported that the Tampa Bay area is currently under a tornado watch until Wednesday evening.
According to the Associated Press, mandatory evacuation orders have been issued in 11 counties with a “combined population of about 5.9 million.”
