Finland reports underwater communications cable with Germany has broken A fault has been detected in the C-Lion1 cable running from Santahamina, Finland to Rostock, Germany. The fault is interrupting communications links running through the marine cable. The C-Lion1 cable was commissioned in 2016. The cable is approximately 1,200 kilometers long and runs alongside the Russian Nord Stream gas pipeline. This is the only Finnish submarine cable that goes directly to Central Europe.
I also understand that there were two cable breakages.

the Bucks County Board of Elections is trying to steal Senator-Elect Dave McCormick’s seat.
On Wednesday, they are having a commissioners’ meeting & we need to show up in big peaceful numbers.
I’ll be there in-person.
Indict AND prosecute AND jail every asshole on the Bucks County Board of Elections, that pushed counting illegal votes.
They KNEW the votes were illegal to count. PA Supreme Court already ruled on it. IIRC, just before 5 November election.
Maximum sentence AND maximum fines.
No need to wait for January 20, to start enforcing election laws.
I am more worried about the recount. if the ballots are separated from their envelopes, how will it be possible to know which ballots should not be counted? because the county could be co-mingling them.

We’ve got a Liver Transplant Clinic appointment today. Last time my daughter drove, as she’s a staff for Josiah, & that worked out pretty well. She’s driving us again today. She’ll have her daughter along, who did very well last time. It’s an interesting process since daughter can be paid for her time, as a staff for her brother, I don’t have to drive, so it’s like getting chauffeured, & daughter gets more opportunities to learn the ropes about her brother’s medical needs. This provides A Lot of peace of mind for me in contemplating the future, should I pre-decease my son (he’s convinced he’ll die first given all his medical issues, but that, like Everything, is in God’s hands). If I go, or become incapacitated, having had J’s sister become involved in increasing measure in taking care of her brother’s medical issues means that he won’t just be left to “the system” to handle his myriad, complicated needs. The fact that she can get paid for her time is a huge bonus!
Last time we all went out to U of M we were too late for the appointment for a radiology scan (we got caught in unexpected traffic & construction) so have rescheduled that appointment for later this month. Since we were already out there & that scan was in the subbasement I decided to walk them through the hospital complex on a round about “tour” & mentioned various places that were part of my son’s history out there.

Sometimes the clouds are thin enough the Moon has no trouble shining through them. Since the moon is bright enough to punch through, you don’t see the clouds directly in front of the Moon (your eyes simply won’t see the contrast), and it will appear as if the Moon is in front of the clouds.
Watching the clouds move make this much more apparent, and you can catch the fading and sharpening of lunar features where the clouds are thicker and pass in front of them.

I have no opinion of Ms Green as to her prophetic gifts, but I would say that your definition of who is a prophet and what is prophecy, especially when taking the Bible as your reference, may need some fleshing out. I have included the information following to give you some additional perspectives on this topic. Agree or disagree with the author as you like.
Common to the thinking both in the ancient world and in the Old Testament is the understanding that a prophet serves as the spokesperson for the deity. On the surface this not only sounds indisputable but would seem transparent to anyone. Nevertheless, many Bible readers think that prophecy has a more expansive purview. They consider prophets to be individuals who foretell what is to come, predicting the shape of future events. The first job, then, in this section is to qualify that idea with important nuances and perspectives.
I contend that we make a serious mistake when we think of prophecy as prediction. This is true, first, because prophecy does not just deal with the future. Instead, analysis shows that prophets offered God’s messages concerning the past and the present as much or more than they spoke about the future. Second, they were engaged not in telling the future but in revealing God’s plans and purposes (offering a viewpoint that at times extended into the future). When I hand out my course syllabus on the first day of class, I have given the students very specific information about the future. For example, I might indicate that on March 16 we will talk about Isaiah. Despite that specificity, when I do so, I am not engaging in prediction; I am announcing my plan. The idea of the syllabus is not to tell students the future but to help them participate in the course, follow my plan, and hopefully succeed in the course by doing so. As an example, in Daniel 11, the text is not predicting the history of the Hellenistic period. The events listed there are being read out of the Book of Truth (Dan 10:21), which contains the decrees of God. God decrees the course of history; he does not predict the future.

True, prophets aren’t just predictors, and though my knowledge isn’t deep enough to be sure, I’d not be surprised if some of them never made predictions.
I would say that when the Bible refers to a person as a prophet its primary meaning is that that person is speaking as a conduit for the god in question, usually the God of Israel but not always. As such, as Walton suggests, prophets do not make predictions but merely reveal the god’s words.
I was about to say “we’re in agreement then” but then I realized the exact distinction you are making.
I should have said something more like “True, prophets relay more than just predictions. Some probably never have a prediction to relay.”
I think that hits the point nicely. It seems to me that the Bible is fairly clear that God is not that interested in revealing specifics of the future to the reader. However, there is good evidence that God, being concerned with our welfare, will remind us from time to time that the details of the future are best left in His purview.

My personal perspective is that the Holy Spirit is not finished with her spiritual growth. Beyond that I must leave all else to God.
I believe that to be true of all of us.
When someone tells me things that do not come true, that they say came from God, and they never (to my knowledge) acknowledge the error but continue as if nothing were wrong, I think it is not only allowed but incumbent to, at the least, set a boundary. I also think it appropriate to make a judgment call about their behavior and honesty.
I know that she has made a number of statements that haven’t come true that she represents as coming from God. For me, that is the highest form of deception, and worse.
A false prophet is a person who spreads false teachings or messages while claiming to speak the Word of God. In the Bible, false prophets also spoke on behalf of false gods. False prophets functioned in their prophetic role illegitimately or for the purpose of deception. The Bible denounces false prophets for leading people astray.
In the Old Testament, the actual term false prophet does not occur, but references to false prophets are evident and abundant. In the book of Jeremiah, we encounter a clear description of false prophets: “Then the LORD said to me, ‘The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds’” (Jeremiah 14:14; see also 23:21–33; Zechariah 10:2).
The primary difference between men like Jeremiah—a true prophet of God—and false prophets was their source of information. Rather than speak the Word of the Lord, false prophets delivered messages that originated in their own hearts and minds: “This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD’” (Jeremiah 23:16; see also 14:14; 23:25–32; Ezekiel 13:1–7). God distances Himself from all false prophets: “I did not send these prophets, yet they have run with their message; I did not speak to them, yet they have prophesied” (Jeremiah 23:21).
Another difference between true prophets and false prophets in the Bible is motivation. True prophets are motivated by loyalty to God above all else, whereas false prophets are motivated by self-interest and a desire to be popular among the people (1 Kings 22:13–14). While Jeremiah foretold the grim truth of coming desolation upon Jerusalem (Jeremiah 4), the false prophets promised peace (Jeremiah 6:14; 8:11). Naturally, the people of Judah preferred the pleasant messages of the false prophets: “Don’t tell us what is right. Tell us nice things. Tell us lies” (Isaiah 30:10, NLT).
Often false prophets were hired for payment or spoke their messages for financial gain: “Her leaders judge for a bribe, her priests teach for a price, and her prophets tell fortunes for money. Yet they look for the LORD’s support and say, ‘Is not the LORD among us? No disaster will come upon us’” (Micah 3:11; see also Nehemiah 6:12–13; Jeremiah 6:13–14; Ezekiel 13:19; 2 Peter 2:1–3).
Israel could not always discern the difference between a true and false prophet. In 1 Kings 22, King Jehoshaphat of Judah sought counsel from the Lord before he and King Ahab of Israel embarked on their mission to retake the city of Ramoth in Gilead. Jehoshaphat heard the predictions of victory from Ahab’s 400 counselors but suspected that these men were false prophets who did not have the mind of the Lord. Jehoshaphat’s suspicions were correct: they were Ahab’s “yes men,” false prophets who had no concern for relating the true Word of God. They merely said what the king wanted to hear and collected their salary from the royal treasury.
Jehoshaphat asked if there was another prophet who could give a second opinion. Ahab called for the prophet Micaiah, albeit reluctantly: “I hate him,” Ahab complained, “because he never prophesies anything good about me, but always bad” (1 Kings 22:8). True to form, Micaiah prophesied that Ahab would be killed in the battle and Israel would be “scattered on the hills like sheep without a shepherd” (verse 17). Micaiah, whose words came to pass, proved to be the true prophet of God. None of the false prophets in Ahab’s court could keep the king alive.
The punishment specified for false prophets in the Old Testament was severe: “If any prophet dares to speak a message in My name that I have not commanded him to speak, or to speak in the name of other gods, that prophet must be put to death” (Deuteronomy 18:20).
In the New Testament, Jesus taught about false prophets in His Sermon on the Mount: “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit” (Matthew 7:15–18).
Jesus went on to explain the grave consequences of being a false prophet: “Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’” (Matthew 7:19–23).
The Bible describes false prophets as adulterous (Jeremiah 23:14), treacherous (Zephaniah 3:4), drunkards (Isaiah 28:7), wicked (Jeremiah 23:11), liars (Jeremiah 14:14; 23:14), and associated with divination and witchcraft (Jeremiah 14:14; Ezekiel 22:28; Acts 13:6). Scripture teaches believers to be diligent in faith and devotion to Christ’s teachings so that they will be able to spot false prophets and false teachers quickly (2 Peter 1:10; 1:19—2:1; 1 John 4:1). Thankfully, the Bible outlines foolproof tests for recognizing a false prophet. The key is to know what a true prophet is like:
• A true prophet’s words will be fulfilled (Deuteronomy 18:21–22; Jeremiah 28:8–9).
• A true prophet’s teachings are consistent with Scripture (2 Peter 1:20–21; Revelation 22:18–19).
• A true prophet’s teachings will encourage righteous behavior and provide spiritual benefit (Deuteronomy 13:1–4; Jeremiah 23:13–14, 32; Ezekiel 13:17–23; 14:4–8; Lamentations 2:14).
• A true prophet’s life will reflect a divine call (Isaiah 28:7; Jeremiah 23:10–11, 14; 29:9; Zephaniah 3:4; Matthew 7:15–20).
• A true prophet will acknowledge Jesus Christ as divine (1 John 4:1–6).
You write as if you know this woman personally. If that is the case then she may have misled you. In that circumstance you may have cause to seek redress. If you have never met the woman then you should have approached any of her words from the Lord with some skepticism. It was my assumption that your only contact with her was through reading her on this forum. I would be far more concerned that she is deceiving herself than that she is deceiving me.
Whether I have ever met her is a moot point. Her words are in plain sight for all to see. When CNN writes a less-than-truthful account, they are attempting to deceive all who read it, which includes me.
Her words are deceptive. She claims to speak for God but the things she says do not come true.
But she is not deceiving me. That is the point I’m making. I can read, I can research, and I can see what she has said and (not) done. I think she has a large following, so many others are not seeing her deception. I am calling attention to that.

As a more basic point, if the title is John Doe Ministries, it is obvious that the highest position is not God. Also, Scripture teaches that it is men who lead, not women. A female spiritual leader of today cannot show me any place in the New Covenant where a female was authorized to be a pastor, apostle, or disciple.
Ergo, Julie is providing spiritual guidance but it is not about God.
I am personally uncomfortable for myself to claim that some insight I’ve come to is “from the Lord” for I have a hard time discerning where His voice ends & mine begins. When I Think that something Might be from God I will say so, with a disclaimer that I might be misunderstanding it & it Could just be my own thoughts.
When someone claims to speak for God I am automatically suspicious for historically such people were given power & sway over others & such claims could be made so as to lord it over other people &/or to discourage anyone from questioning any statement from a “prophet”.
When I’ve read the Julie Green statements brought here they typically strike me as someone who is Conservative, Christian, paying attention to current events, insightful, & an encourager. When she makes statements as if she is speaking in “God’s voice” that “voice” doesn’t sound to me like the God of the Bible, more like of a Believer who imagines how God Might speak were He to overtly address current events.
I won’t go as far to call this being a “false prophet” but I have discussed it with my husband a few times & read out some of the (troubling to me) “my children” declarations. No ultimate conclusions were drawn but I Always read her remarks (& frankly most things) with a grain of salt.

Yes. In my research today I learned that outlets like Newsweek connect Julie Green with MAGA. I’m not sure how that got started, and I haven’t heard anything about it during this campaign season, so I hope it no longer applies.
I heard her say that God speaks to her, that the things she says and writes come from Him. Therefore, IMO, she considers herself to be a prophet. Many others call her a prophet as well, and I haven’t seen her correcting them.
Since she considers herself a prophet, I think we are at liberty to judge the fruits of her pronouncements. For me, since many of her predictions have not come true, I have no problem saying she is a false prophet.
I’ve never seen her admit to being wrong (though I could have missed it). I speculate that admitting she was wrong even once would spoil her prophet persona. IMO she is fake, through and through.
The cult-like following that she has is concerning to me. Otherwise reasonable and even godly people refuse to see the obvious con-artist nature of what she is doing. She is the stereotypical charlatan.

I guess if she is a charlatan I that that passage by Paul, I forget exactly where in the NT he says it but basically whether people preach Christ from false motives or true he rejoices that Christ is being preached. Prediction is exactly what Julie Green does, and did in this instance. And she predicted incorrectly.
God’s words are not incorrect, as Julie Green’s were.
If the word “prophet” is a point of contention, then it would be instructive to look at the facts:
• Julie Green represents herself as talking to us, “My children,” from God.
• She writes things that are supposedly going to happen (prediction).
• Those things do not come true.
• Therefore, she does not speak for God, whether as a prophet, a predictor, or in any capacity.
If not clear from my reply to this same comment by Robert Baker, I do not think Julie Green is a prophet. The only remaining question is whether she sincerely believes she’s speaking for God, or whether she’s just another never-to-be-sufficiently-damned charlatan/grifter.
But either way, she’s not worth a moment of consideration.
Clearly, a number of “words she has heard” have not come true. That should make her pause, but I see no sign of that.

You don’t find the obviously wrong “prophecy” that I posted to be significant or noteworthy? It’s interesting that you don’t address it at all. You don’t appear to believe that all it takes is one false “word” for someone to be a false prophet.
Many of the things Julie Green has written that have come to pass could have been written by any one of us. Like this:

Yes – it was to the sentencing phase. The only question now is whether the judge dismisses it outright or if he will face the sentencing phase in 5 years. His attorneys will be finishing this off soon because the judge knows that if allowed to stand it will be appealed and won by Trump in five years. He has an out to dismiss because Bragg used WH documents to help make his pathetic case, which are federal documents in a state case.
The jury returned a guilty verdict. DJT has not yet been convicted, which is a pre-requisite to sentencing.

Couldn’t log in today for some reason. When I did the normal routine (normal as of about a week ago, the last time it changed), it refused to log me in.
It used to be (for at least a year or more) that I would click ‘login’ at the top of the comments section, which took me to a login page, where my username would auto-fill, and I would click login, then a password would auto-fill and I would click login, and that would be it.
Then a week or two ago, a third step was added. After the above, I would be taken to a Jetpak page showing my avatar, and have to click ‘login’ one final time, before being returned to the WQTH page where I initiated the login process.
Today, I think the first two steps were normal, but the third step (on the Jetpak login page) would not recognize me.
So I tried logging in using the other option in small text hyperlink, with screen name + password, and that didn’t work. So then I tried the other option, email address + password, and that didn’t work (but it did use of 2 of my 5 allowed attempts, apparently).
So I decided to try resetting my password, to get a link sent to my email, but I never received the email. Tried a second time, same result, no email, not in the inbox or spam folder, after 10+ minutes and refreshing the email screen.
So I went back and tried logging into wordpress directly instead of logging into theqtree.com, and somehow that worked, but I won’t remember how I did it when I try to log in tomorrow.
Not sure what changed or why, the login process is usually subconscious, but today it was a mess.
What browser are you using? Brave Nightly is having problems with WordPress today, and it may run deeper. Regular Brave and Firefox seem to be working better.
