The other day some of us were having a discussion about the crowd numbers that Elizabeth Warren had at her appearance in Seattle. I’m not very good at estimating numbers, and it’s been a very long time since I’ve been down to that part of Seattle. I had my daughter look at it, as she’s been down there recently, has busked in Seattle, and is pretty familiar with how many people will fit in there.
So I just got a report back, and she thinks that: a. the venue was changed in order to inflate the numbers, the most would be 10k, but that might have been the number that filtered through the area as it is also a thorough fare.
b. She also looked at several photos, and one in particular, the one showing a ton of people looks photo shopped to her. A funny looking giant pink bear with sunglasses in a couple of places, and a couple of people with full afros, which are rarely seen up here. She says most ladies wear a short do, braided, or a sensible wig, for the same reason she and I don’t fuss with our hair much (very curly hair) because there’s so much moisture in the air, it makes the hair go pretty natural and frizzy. She sent me a photo where she marked the duplications, but I don’t know how to post it here. I have it saved on my computer.
What I do is go to Imgur.com and post it there. Select the green block “New Post” at the top left corner.
Then select “Choose Photo/Video” then after the photo selection come up, double click on your saved photo.
Once it’s saved to Imgur.com, you can click on “Copy link” at the top of your picture. Once you’ve done that, click on the Leave a Reply box in this blog and be sure to add .jpg after the link shows up. Make sure you put the “dot jpg” or .jpg after the link.
That’s all there is to it. Someone taught me how to do that, so I’m just paying it forward. Have fun.

My old refrain, both on OT and probably here is very much the same….look for the adjectives! Take a printed article, newspaper headlines, etc. and spend about 5 minutes circling the adjectives…just like the red circles in the photo. Soon you will see a pattern of subliminal bias/propaganda by the authors/editors. Again, once you see it….

One thing I really like is having the military music groups provide the “entertainment”…not bringing in some hip hop singers or even any others. It makes the focus on the conversation, the event itself.

According to a criminal complaint filed in July, Border Patrol agents were making normal rounds when they saw a black car pull off the road around seven miles north of the U.S.-Mexico border. They pulled the vehicle over and found Law driving and Salazar-Quintero in the front passenger seat. They had three undocumented immigrants in the back seat; the three reportedly told the agents they were Mexican citizens and did not have documents to enter the U.S. legally.
All five were arrested and questioned. Law and Salazar-Quintero each pointed fingers at the other. Law told an agent that Salazar-Quintero had asked him on July 2 if he wanted to make $1,000 to pick up an illegal. They drove to the Mexican border, then dropped the first immigrant off at a McDonald’s in Del Mar, Calif. They weren’t paid that day and on July 3 they agreed to pick up three more people to be paid for that day and the day before’s work.
Salazar-Quintero said that Law had been the one to introduce him to smuggling.
Two of the immigrants from the car admitted they were going to pay $8,000 to be smuggled into the country.
The Marine Corps says none of those charged were involved in the military support mission at the US′ Southwest border.

I drove past a city hall yesterday. They had a group of 50 climactivists there with alk their signs. Mostly white and they brought their kids. They didnt appear to use public transportation, and they had electronic devices. 🤔

At one time or another, we all face obstacles that seem insurmountable. The question is, How will we respond? Some people try to push through or manipulate their way around the barriers, while others wallow in hopelessness and give up. But the Lord wants us to trust Him to remove each impediment.
Any obstacle that stands between us and God’s purpose is subject to His supernatural power. Most of us would readily agree that nothing is too difficult for the Lord, but fear and worry reveal our doubts. By focusing on the problem, we allow it to grow and block our view of almighty God.
Knowing the difficulty of Joshua’s assignment, the Lord assured him that he would be successful in completing the mission. God’s responsibility was to remove every hindrance that stood between the Israelites and the land He had promised to give them. Joshua’s job was to believe the Lord and carefully obey all His commands.
Obstacles are one way that our faith can grow. When you are confused and cannot see how God could work out your situation, do not walk away in defeat and miss His blessing. He wants to teach you His way of obedience, trust, and courage. Believe Him—He always keeps His promises.

Anyone haveroblems lately with Facebook? I use it to be politically active on my elected politicians pages. 2nd time in last 2 says my account has gone blank, page is just a white screen with FB blue line at top.
I check for outages on pages that track when social media sites are down. No outages reported.
The first time I shut down browser, restarted. Same white page. Went through VPN. Same. Tried other devices same. Tried two other seldom used browsers. Same. Removed all cookies from all browsers. Shut down computer, restarted. Same.
Eventually worked again as usual.
Happened again last night. Still white screen. I am I’m a device I never use for FB on a network other than home. Log in to FB….just white screen.

Two things come to mind. First of all, who was sitting next to her video recording this exchange and why couldn’t he have ordered? Was he deaf too? That was never explained in the article. And she never used the word “we”, but it’s obvious someone was in the car with her.
Also, she “sat there for two hours”? So she blocked the drive up window for two full hours? Where were the police? Weren’t they called?
I sympathize with her and obviously the clerk deserved to be fired, but it seems there must have been alternatives to this fiasco.

Last I looked, years ago really, cochlear implant’s are one expensive and two come with a long list of reasons that disqualify you from getting one. Death people don’t usually make a lot of money, so they are less apt to chase after every remedy and often are comfortable with the way they are.

First: ANY Muslim who says that “wife beating” is not part of Islamic Law and teaching IS LYING.
Islamic Law and teaching MANDATE that the husband, as not only head of the family unit, BUT ALSO as gatekeeper of his wife’s “virtues”, perform any “admonishment” of her conduct as follows:

Fox did a report on deepfakes last year.
The good news is…there is already technology that can detect deepfake video footage and expose it as “not real”.
