Starting very soon, like almost immediately, I will NOT be available to pull DRAFTS out of the DRAFT bin and either SCHEDULE or PUBLISH them in the evening.
Not everybody has figured out how to schedule/publish posts. I’m sorry, but I can no longer do it.
SO – WHAT is a good time by which ANOTHER AUTHOR should put up a new Daily Thread?
1 AM Eastern? 2 AM? 3 AM? What makes sense?

Yes, theoretically, but it won’t happen, for other reasons. I simply need people to use the vanilla API as it presents.
Again, I’m coming at this from linux, where you can do anything the hardware can do at least a dozen different ways, each of which causes problems…..
Could you have different draft buckets, that publish automatically at different times? Could you create a SchedPost group that can schedule or post out of draft (but nothing else) and assign trusted authors to that group?
Too much effort, insufficient return, won’t guarantee solution, can’t do for other reasons.
What people need to do amounts to using a date-picker widget as the final step of doing a thread. This is just like scheduling an online payment. No harder. That easy.
This is the new end of basic training! Trainees have to be able to fire the gun and hit the target, clean the gun and put it away.

So I can’t even reliably be here at that time if there is a problem with *anybody’s* scheduled posts. So we just have to have a kind of group coverage on this.
Gil is going to step up as an *extra* Daily Thread author – that gives us some flexibility. If people just “work it out” on the end of the current daily thread, I think we can solve this robustly.

During Hussein’s tyranny, the Left became MS-13 on the subway blaring rap music and daring anyone to tell them to turn it down. You’re trapped in a tube with these violent animals, and the thumping rap bass is so loud you can’t even hear yourself think.
So we hired Trump to MAKE it STOP.
But that didn’t happen.
What happened is MS-13 got a thousand more ghetto blasters, starting playing different rap songs on each one, and turned the volume on ALL of them all the way up to 100.
THIS is what is causing so much stress.
We elected Trump to STOP THE NOISE and CONSTANT PROVOCATION and AGITATION.
But it didn’t stop.
It got a hundred times WORSE.
No doubt DJT is making great progress on multiple fronts, and no doubt he has a plan, and no doubt he is going to nuke the subway train and all the MS-13 on it, as soon as all the civilians are safely evacuated.

UCLA receives $20 million donation to study kindness
The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), on Wednesday announced that philanthropists had donated $20 million to establish an institute studying kindness.

Cataract surgery is replacing the natural lenses with artificial ones. The replacements are actually miniature versions of eyeglasses, eliminating the need for glasses. I am 71 yet I can mostly see as clearly as I did when I was 25. I still wake up every day grateful for the skill of my eye doc.
Depth perception under 10-15 feet sometimes is a bit tricky for the patients who opted for bifocal lenses (no need for reading glasses). This is why DJT looks down as he is exiting AF1.

I use the trifocals ONLY for driving and shoping and don’t put them on until I am safetly downstairs! If I do have to navigate stairs I either take them off or hold on to the railing. The railing safed me from a bad fall but wrenched my shoulder.

Hint: if night glare on the road is an issue, you have cataracts. Do not delay.

However, everyone’s eyes are different … I’ve had cataract surgery in both eyes, followed by additional procedure to ‘clean up’ some lingering fuzziness. While that significantly improved my eyesight, I still need trifocals and, like Gail, must pay very close attention on stairs and curbs.
My left eye is getting fuzzy again, so I will have the ‘shaving the fuzz’ clean up procedure one more time. And I’ve learned to train my brain to ignore the many black spots that constantly roam through my vision – the worst my eye doctor has ever seen. I am thankful there are procedures to help correct my multiple eye issues, but I’d have been sorely disappointed if someone told me ahead of time that cataract surgery would eliminate my need for glasses.
Looking ahead, I pray I can avoid two decades of blindness from macular degeneration which afflicts Mom. Stay physically fit is a key component.

I have worn glasses since I was nine. Because I was a chemist I never used contacts. At this point I NEED my glasses to protect my eyes because I am used to them protecting my eyes. They have certainly saved my sight a number of times over the years.
So I will continue on with my glasses until I need the operation for cataracts.

I had cataract surgery in one eye that was my macular degeneration eye. Even though I have plain glass on that site of eye glasses.
The other is bifocals. Macular degeneration is in my family. My treatmends for macular are working and I am seeing better and better.

Be triple//quadruple careful that your doctor or hospital have not had a bunch of staph infections on his cases. We had a gifted doctor in my hometown whose procedures were ok, but the results blighted by eye infections, until the cause was determined.
Unrelated – Another talented popular eye surgeon in the area died in a skydiving accident.
Be careful and get all the information you can about the doctors and hospitals you intend to use.
One of my friends had back surgery in a neighboring small hospital, because of insurance dictates, and suffered longterm infection issues afterward.
Avoid problems by being proactive and not going under the knife unless you are sure and have lots of people praying.

I have problems with my knee and my doctor suggested not to have the surgery unless I cannot walk. i walk fine sometimes I use a knee brace and if weather changes I take one aspirin in the evening.
I know to many people who had infections in their knee after surgery and some people walked worse afterwards.
So I am limited and cannot walk my dogs for miles and limit to one. I have walking sticks I can use to walk my dogs they work well for the back and take pressure of the knees. In Europe many people use them for exercise.
Some people who truly need operation need too for quality of life. At my age is all about quality of life and that is why I use waling sticks that strengthen the back and help my knees and I can walk my dogs.
I still can clean my home just slower and not the whole house in one day I used too.

I have bifocals and never tripped and do not even now I have bifocals.
I believe it has to do with who grinds the lenses and if one goes to cheap production places that is what one gets. My husband has the process yep of glasses no bifocals has all kind of problems but he is stubborn and fights bifocals.
I tried a different glass grinder and it was a mess. I took the glasses back. Maybe I am lucky with the my eye doctor.
Then maybe it depends on the person.

You seem to have conflated confession with repentance. Confession is obviously (to me) secret but I am talking about repentance, which is an ongoing process and is shown (IMO) by trying to undo the damage one has done to people. There is no justice in allowing someone who led multiple people to the road to perdition into Heaven based on a secret only God knows. Repentance in part means taking responsibility for the harm one has done.

First, children need affirmation that they are loved, accepted, and competent—the very things we see the Father speaking about to His Son in today’s passage. We must give children a sense of security and belonging so they won’t look to unhealthy sources for acceptance. And the way we care and provide for them will help them grasp the heavenly Father’s love.
Second, children learn godliness when it is modeled. Reading Scripture aloud and sharing stories of the Lord’s involvement in our life are both important, but our everyday actions matter just as much. What we do should match what we say and testify about God’s love. For example, we can’t expect kids to understand the golden rule if we act with selfishness, arrogance, or insensitivity.
Modeling a godly life is often an intentional pursuit, like studying Scripture or serving as a family on a mission trip. It can also be as simple and unplanned as picking up a piece of trash on a neighbor’s lawn. But keep in mind that actions and words aren’t always perceived correctly. Check that the child’s understanding matches the message you hope to communicate.
Your words and actions teach lessons. Children need to know, beyond any doubt, that they’re treasured and capable, so be mindful about giving them the tools they need in order to follow Christ. Remember, God doesn’t expect perfection. He’ll guide the willing heart—and cover missteps with His grace.

I don’t know of any horrible consequences of that, but I would have to research it. Do they get escorted out of the hearing? You said you were looking. I started looking for rescues in my state and seeing if they were legit. You can find older ones a lot at rescues. To find a puppy you should find a breeder with mom n dad on site. Id check for epilepsy history too.
I keep checking the rescues in my state since they have a lot online and keep getting beagle puppy mixed with lab, pug, pit bull and other things. AKA these people have no idea what a beagle is.
Also some of the things they want for a rescue dog is just crazy and TMI at times.
I would not mind getting an older one but I really want to start out again with a puppy. 🙂
Some rescues are run by nuts who are hoarders or dishonest. Probably your next pkace would be to check the akc website for the breed clubs in your state, then you could find someone with puppers.
Have a guy just south of us who breeds and trains beagles. Known him for 28yrs. People come from all over, stay with us, to pku their dogs. Expensive business.

As I read all what goes on, I try to analyze and compare to what’s happening in other parts of the swamp, govt, etc.If you have some way of getting ideas noticed by Team Trump, this may be worth some value.
Our President is fighting a bunch of low life’s that will do anything to get rid of him. This whistle blower scam is an excellent example of why ‘Red Flag’ laws are so dangerous. PDJT is disgusted with this hearsay evidence in trying to impeach him. Since he seems open to some sort of Red Flag law to “curb’ gun violence, he now is experiencing first hand what a law abiding gun owner would go through with similar accusations.

We had an exterminator out today. He got rid of a hornet’s nest in a mulch pile. The pile was not that big, but my hubby had been working on getting rid of it for 6 wks without success. The guy put on a bee suit and went to it. It was amazing how big it was underneath in that mulch pile.

I have a question about this part. Isn’t it in the Constitution on how the impeachment process must work, Like the vote to begin an inquiry must be held?? A change of House rules cannot possibly override the Constitution, so new rules be damned, their subpoenas have no backing. And their “official impeachment inquiry” is still fake. Anybody know anything???

The House can do whatever apparently they want, but nothing changes the fact that Articles of Impeachment have to be delivered to the Senate – and would require a full vote in the House. Those articles have to have something in it for acceptance in the Senate. Until a vote occurs in the House, there isn’t anything delivered to the Senate. Yes, I guess the Dems will all jump the shark and vote for it…
