I think I’ve noticed this, too. Now that idea is somewhat ritualized in the upper echelons of Catholicism, and perhaps to varying extents is real, BUT it leads me into something I’ve been thinking about recently.
For all the criticisms that can be leveled against Pontifex, i.e. Pope Francis, lack of openness is NOT one of them. Anybody – and I mean anybody – of any religion whatsoever – can tweet to the guy. It USED to be that people were afraid to, so he would only get dozens of replies, it was EASY to reply to his tweets and be seen. Even now, he only gets 500-1000 replies, typically.
I mean, think about that. In fact, I have to say – Francis is likely THE most approachable pontiff EVER.
I think that’s pretty cool. And maybe THAT is exactly what Catholicism needed right now, and why the guy is where he is.

Ferguson was an exploited opportunity. Trayvon Martin was the dry run of sorts. Ignore judicial decisions that try to stop you as 1. you are in a Free State and 2. The Federal Government minus swamp, is still controlled by us and hopefully both will just put up token objection which should of course be ignored. This would sort of be a reversal on the sanctuary cities idea tied in with a reversal on the resist idea.
Now understand this before you disregard this. Our current problems have been exacerbated by population movements. So I’d think in keeping with Saul Alinskey tactics, we’d want to overwhelm their system instead of ours by pushing the kind of people they want to make, back on to them so as to dramatically as possible unburden ourselves and shift the costs back to the Slave States.
So I’m not talking about pushing out the working poor or those that can not take care of themselves (as they will always have a social safety net). Were just talking leeches, illegals (prioritized first to those not working while taking benefits) and whatever dems we can drive out through what ever concoctions we can devise. Mind you many of the concoctions are already there such as in; advocating for school choice programs, arming of teachers, lower taxes, cutting funding to most non essential services, taking control of school boards and city councils, and the like. We just need to up the ante some and encourage politicians to get serious with illegal immigration and enforcement of current laws.
If done well enough, you would cut state spending to the extent that business and talented people will want to move here.
Okay, a bit puritanical, heavy lifting involved and such. However, if you didn’t get anything from this at all you can use, maybe you can start artfully referring to certain states as being free states or slave states when off site and opportunity is presented. Which may of been the whole point of all the above, creating a new meme of sorts 🙂

Just so you guys know, there is a massive wave of troll activity going on at practically every major pro-Trump hangout on the internet today. It is very much astroturfed, likely the usual suspects such as ShareBlue (formerly Correct the Record) and the like.
This happens off and on, and has since 2016 during the election. You can usually tell it is trolling instead of natural response to some news when there is a buildup before the news, as it has been this time.
The way it works is, using both paid humans and scripted “bots”, comments, replies, tweets, posts, etc are targeted to give the impression that Trump supporters are upset about this or that thing concerning the President, or one of his policies, or whatever. The point is simply to give the impression of a fracturing of his base, or to setup a “line in the sand” and give the impression that his base should believe that line in the sand exists.
The hope is that actual Trump supporters read this sort of stuff and are either dejected by it and lose faith in the President, or copy it and go along with it, greatly magnifying the effect.
The ultimate goal of course is to actually fracture the President’s base. It has never worked, but they continue to try, hoping to find one thing that creates a crack, and then focus on that going forward.
So, this current “crises” over the Wall funding is no different. ShareBlue and the like got the heads up that this would be another opportunity to crack Trump’s base back before the Midterms with the Omnibus thing.
I don’t know what will happen. I think the President is quite serious about not signing the CR. And very willing to shutdown the government (he knows that it isn’t big deal anyways except to the political types). I think he is using this withdrawal of troops from Syria as a way of telling Congress that, they can appropriate funds for their lobbyists, but he can find ways to not spend that money.
In other words, he’s talking to the lobbyists.
Will it work? Maybe not. Probably not. Will he sign the CR? I’m leaning no, but he might, especially if a veto is likely to be overturned. But if he does sign it, things are going to get interesting. Not because I think he “caved”.

I listen to my instincts a lot more than I used to. Partly because it is impossible to see what is going on, but it is quite plain that what we are being told is NOT what’s going on. So to try to understand what’s up, I have to listen to my spidey senses.
PDJTs strong stand on the government shut down over the border wall was so exceptionally dramatic and over the top designed to attract maximum attention. And then there is the predictable reaction from Congress, which is to say nothing at all except Paul Ryan prepares for his close up and his six part Netflix series or whatever. And now it’s all hysteria about PDJT is going to take it on the chin and back down blah blah blah.
I have no idea what PDJT will do with regards to this shut down but it is all coming to a head. He has orchestrated it for some reason. I don’t know why. But if I had to bet on something that thing would be that PDJT Builds That Wall before it’s all said and done.
When I can remember to take a few steps back and look at this from a little distance it is really quite an exciting show. I believe in PDJT.
If he’s going to drain the swamp, K Street and the lobbyists need to be neutralized. This is plausible.

I like General Keane very much. He’s a smart man. I always enjoy listening to his analysis.
He’s been a pretty loyal supporter of PDJT. He was asked to serve in PDJT’s cabinet, I believe, but the death of General Keane’s wife in the months before the election caused him to decline the offer and he truly was very sad. He’s finally starting to smile a little again.
I respect Jack Keane’s opinion a lot. But, he has been a part of the establishment for years, obviously. So his opinion is going to be influenced by that. PDJT may be making a brilliant move on Syria or it may be a horrible error. I don’t think anyone, including Jack Keane, can predict the outcome of this.
So, if I have to choose between my girlish crush on General Keane and PDJT, I’m siding with PDJT.

I don’t bring much to the table with my analysis, but you get what I got!
I do think Syria is such a complex mess that there is plenty of room for differing opinions on how to handle it. What rankles for me is the commentary I’ve heard some in the news make that implies PDJT made an impulsive decision without the grave counsel of his wisest advisors (you know, because he is such a lunatic).
GAH! If this is a lose-lose-lose all the way around situation then why not cut to the chase and just do it?
I do think somehow this is an element of the big pot of Anti Swamp Stew that is simmering away on PDJT’s burner. Every now and then he plops something in it and it hisses and spatters and he stirs away and then tastes the stew for seasoning before reaching for the next ingredient to dump in the pot…

He replaced all his light switches and outlets with smart ones so that lights, appliances, etc could be turned on/off right before he or his fiance come home–it locks and unlocks their doors–they have cameras to watch their pet and keep him active during the day…he feels secure…it totally CREEPS me out…
I was talking to a friend last night, a very stable guy and Trump supporters, and he was raving about Alexa. He said he didn’t care about the privacy issues because no one was going to find out anything bad about him (I let that pass; he didn’t realize that the privacy issue was not necessarily or even principally about discovering “bad” things about people).
But his description of WHY Alexa was so great in his opinion got me to thinking. Are the “smart home” functions a significant advance over doing things to old way (like flipping a switch, or putting on Sinatra music)?
I could see practical applications which would be hugely beneficial to handicapped people (those who find it difficult to flip a switch), for instance people with severe back pain who have trouble moving.
But for healthy people, what is the advance in comfort, convenience, or economy?
We release personal information (our opinions; search queries about health issues; product orders, for example) over the internet every day, but we have decided it is worth it to us.
The “creep” factor seems like a big obstacle to overcome, and turning on the lights is not the sort of thing which overcomes it.
But I have an open mind, if someone were to convince me.

Never, EVER use a new technology to REPLACE what you rely on. Instead, use it as an augmentation – and make sure that that augmentation can be turned OFF.
The devices today – even when one turns them “off” … aren’t really “OFF” but “ON”, perhaps for days, and without you knowing.

Adm. Rogers is always in the room. Take a look at his face while Comey testifies to Congress about the wiretaps. (Adm. Rogers is sitting next to him.) Rogers is also at the TT meeting. Obama was a lame duck and was losing his grip on these powerful tools. About all he could do was collect it all and make it disappear; not something that they would want found. Comey likely soiled himself when he realized that President Trump might have his own tapes. The SC investigation becomes an exercise in destruction of evidence from it’s conception. Just a theory. Taking the meeting at compromised TT doesn’t make sense to me. Why would they do that unless it gave them some type of strategic advantage?

I personally have found that perspective is helpful in preparing/adapting to the changes that come with each season. Today might not be the start of Winter, perhaps it’s the center of the Winter season. Consider. Trees are always moving *through* the seasons over time, letting go of one season and embracing the next. (Thinking like this has helped me be a better gardener at least.)

Time is a VERY funny thing for QT readers who wake up at 5 AM Eastern only to find a whole day’s worth of news has been thoroughly discussed!
I was trying to decide whether to make that point myself, about the official start not being the only possible boundary line, but decided to forego it. I know there are places that start winter Dec1, or january 1st.
The usual rationale for starting it on the solstice is that it’s not tied to a human convention (the solstice is a physical event), which eliminates calendar boundaries but doesn’t stop someone from saying (as the Celts did) put the boundaries midway between the solstices and equinoxes). The second reason though is that because of the the moderating effect of the oceans, there’s lag built into the system and the coldest time of the year tends to be a bit after the solstice, roughly a month and a half after. Of course, that’s more true near the oceans than the interiors of continents (like Hungary is for Europe, and Colorado is for North America). So the Celtic system makes more sense here than it would in, say, New Jersey.
We have had an unusually early “winter” where I live, with three snow storms already, and plenty of gray skies. (I define a snow storm as a weather event which requires me to use the snow blower).
Seasonal affective disorder is real, and that too has arrived much earlier than normal (lack of sun, a gray dreariness all about, making things gloomy). It’s like February started at the beginning of December.
When the days start getting longer, it is a very hopeful sign. As soon as mid-January you can see the days getting longer noticeably. But the few days before Christmas is when it starts, and it is good to know at a particular minute of a particular day things are going to get better, and the “worst” is over, and didn’t last so very long.
I have that seasonal disorder, hate winter, but it is true when it starts getting into longer days it helps knowing that is happening, even though I can’t see it.
I hibernate when it’s cold and dark. Too bad I have so much work to do right now.
I have been shoveling Winter since early October.

The proprietors (a married couple) go by the handles “Pamphlet Anon” and “Radix Verum”, and are inveterate patriots. They’ve come from very humble media beginnings, and are getting better all the time.
Now, they seem to have regular schedules (one of the owners is on from 5-7pm, and the other hosts from then ’til 9 or 10). They do deep dives, go over Q-posts, and offer many, many “sauce” packets on the published news for all to go over themselves, and download gratis.
As I’ve said before here, on Wolf’s blog, I often listen in the background … and have found out awesome intel from them. They can’t be totally on point, 24/7, but at this point, I think the best times are evenings.
They are trying to become TRUE alt-media. They’re REALLY nice.

I am positive that what we have been experiencing was yet one more abuse of IC and LE for political purposes – that this is the work of what I have been calling “the event people”, which overlaps with or can use FBI resources. There may be HIDDEN government agencies here.
All the weirdness of the Treehouse (including some top-shelf cyber and WordPress games) and what I have experienced in real life was tied together with the FBI – that means it was tied together with the DOJ – and what just happened? Mueller is about to come under full examination and control of Whitaker.
I dropped bombs in public that open up questions within FBI which I expected to be problematic if the operations were not justified, or were a thinly veiled plot of some kind. I found threads which link up to Trump enemies, and dumped THOSE in public. Everything was converging to a solid theory, and I think White Hats saw it. This was extremely cunning on their part, but desperate.
I can’t really reveal all the specifics – but I think there is massive justification for the Q project. I can say that much.

you are exactly correct – the big guns are going to have to start coming out for the DS and they have many, but we the people need to hold fast, stay focused, stand for our country, never give up, vigilant until the end because you cannot take your foot off the gas at any point once this all starts going down.
there is a big picture here, and in my opinion (that i know many here may hold or are beginning to see) we are going to see straight up what is real and what is fake…i will name a couple things that i know for a fact deep in my heart are fake:
the money markets. completely fake. if you get all in a tizzy over it you are wasting your time. if you let “financial” problems sway your belief in freedom then you probably want to get off the train now. we have to be ready and willing to fight through tough times in order to get our way of life back (well, what we “thought” was our way of life – what we wanted it to be not what they’ve been allowing us to think it is)
our “political system”. completely fake including the “vote”. all of it is to keep us complacent and feeling like we make a difference. can we get the vote back to making a difference, i hope so, but right now it is broken and has been taken over. we have to secure voting to where it is accountable, and trustworthy again. think about it, we’ve been “voting and voting” all these years and look at where it has gotten us. by some luck of chance or divine intervention or just another globalist plan that they thought would go their way gone wrong – we have been fully blessed to be living in a time where the lies can be exposed.
the MSM is fake. everyone including fox – but the globalist plot is REAL and they have all signed on to make it their goal to sink freedom, and individual thought.
i am willing at this point to be in situations where i have to find shelter, where people have to band together, whatever happens, i am ready in my mind to go to the extreme. do i have all my supplies and all that? no, not yet. but what i am saying is that sacrifice is not going to be easy and i do not expect that we will all come out of this just as we have gone into it. and the beauty will be we might actually have FREEDOM after this is said and done. if we give in because we don’t have some cash to spend on amazon or to go out to some god awful movie or to buy a new car or phone then you might as well surrender right now.
and if we can’t have our freedom and we are defeated and vanquished after a battle fought hard, then i am willing to end it all for that battle and that fight. i am not going to let some politician, some journalist, some celebrity tell me what i think.
they might make life very difficult for us for a while but we must never give up.
one thing is for sure – we are at the precipice. the top of the coaster as Deplorable Patriot and others have been mentioning. we are in a time where our whole lives are surveilled and stored as data points and citizen ratings – it’s already done and implemented just not forced on us like china we have willingly accepted it and we need to make sure that goes away because the “good side” could just as easily adopt and abuse such a system.
this is a battle with forces that we do not even comprehend and things are going to happen. things that will scare us, probably terrify us. the real battle is not trump and congress. it’s not mueller and clinton. it’s huge it’s big it’s more involved and powerful than our minds want to imagine.
scott, jason and some others know what i am talking about. elizabeth knows about it. a few others are quickly seeing how much they have been led on in the past…my whole body has been buzzing for months and i am not just making that up. my mind has not stopped once. i get only a couple hours of sleep a night and i’m not just fooling around on a computer reading and posting – this is like full on manic overload and usually the feeling subsides but it has just been getting stronger and stronger. we are on the verge of something here folks. my internal deadline was january 3rd when the new congress was sworn in and i was nervous that things would not progress, but here we are. and tomorrow the election report is due i believe and that news that came out about the “russian bots” in the alabama election is very telling – remember the judge who lost part of his family in that hit and run?

and when there are some that are needy we need to take care of them if we can. we might need to band together at times, and that’s ok. this is for a cause that is greater than all of us i believe.

A mentor of mine taught me that I needed to go out and learn how to really help others in need. I was warned it would get messy. That I would learn a lot about how hard it is to be generous in a way the does not strip the recipient of dignity. That what others feel they truly need with not always be the need we want to meet. That good deeds often appear to be in vain.
When my sacrifices seemed to go up in flames I often reflected on the choice of many churches to remain open to the public after getting trashed by vandals repeatedly.

Daughn, I don’t know what to make of this. But I do know this much. The DOD and the military have their own swamp going on. I know that BO purged the military ranks of those who didn’t follow his social engineering and political aims. It makes it difficult to trust the military leadership, IMO. As much as I want to.
Somehow, I feel like PDJT is culling out to strengthen his hand for whatever is coming. And I’m kind of sad, but I expect PDJT knows what he needs and I imagine in a lot of ways he has been displeased by military leadership. Just look at Afghanistan.

SD has a pretty good piece up on Mattis’ resignation. He posts Mattis’ letter. Here’s a troubling bit of the letter:
“We must do everything possible to advance an international order that is most conducive to our security, prosperity, and values, and we are strengthened in this effort by the solidarity of our alliances.”
Possibly I am overly sensitive to language but expressions like “international order” cause me to leap straight up out of my chair with my hair on fire. If I never hear international community, new world order, global community or the like again it will be too soon.
I think Mattis was probably a good choice for a transition. We needed the military muscled up and retooled. But good grief we don’t need someone who wants to hold hands with our allies, stick daisies in the barrels of our rifles, and sing “We Are The World.” Allies are great and all, but when the going gets tough you can only depend on yourself.
Time to move on. I will be eager to see who PDJT selects.
