On Durham traveling to Italy: “Well, some of the countries that John Durham thought might have some information that would be helpful to the investigation wanted preliminarily to talk to me about the scope of the investigation, the nature of the investigation, and how I intended to handle confidential information, and so forth,” Barr said. “So I initially discussed these matters with those countries and introduced them to John Durham and established a channel by which Mr. Durham can obtain assistance from those countries.”

Barr was comfortably retired from govt service since 1993. He worked for GTE for the next 14 years. He then went into private law practice. I don’t know but I would assume that the firm he joined made it very lucrative for him.
He gave that up in order to be Atty Gen. Quite a step down, money-wise, not to mention the abuse he KNEW he would get by doing so. I doubt that his family was happy with his decision, especially his wife whom he married in 1973.
Yet here he is. DJT asked for him and he got him. I’m on board with that.
This is the ideal of government SERVICE.
To all too many people a top government job is a step up and it’s something they strive for because they crave money and/or power. Someone stepping down into a job like this might still be craving political power, but more likely, he’s doing it because he thinks the task (or job) is important.

I lost respect for Sessions in what he failed to do in the Awan case. He failed miserably through inaction, a total miscarriage of justice. This case should have blown the Dems out of the water in Congress, and Sessions dropped the ball (purposely?)!
The book, “Obstruction of Justice,” by Luke Rosiak, spells it out clearly. I, too, wanted Sessions to be a white hat—and maybe he is, but he should have never been AG. He screwed our President right out of the gate!

I remember there was another blog that I used to follow, they used to have a very favorable view of Wray, when suddenly following Wray’s testimony he was thrown under the bus.
Thus was invented the “Bad Wray” narrative.
Many others have jumped on this bandwagon, connecting him with nefarious actors, like him being old buddies with Rod Rosenstein and with Jim Comey. It seems that the “Dirty Wray” narrative has been a big ugly norm for a while now.
It’s taken on a life of its own:
“Wray turned bad!”
“Wray is a weasel!”
“Don’t trust Wray!”
“Wray hasn’t seen the light! He’s compromised Deep State!”
So much well poisoning from people who have a trust their feelings rather than the facts disposition.
There could be more to Wray than meets the eye, but let’s focus on key facts:
Barr has publicly stated:
* He has confidence in Wray (NOT the first time!)
* Wray is cooperating and assisting the Durham criminal investigation
* Barr says that Wray has been “outstanding in [his] support and responsiveness”
* Barr did not say more than that in the short clip that was published
Also:
* WE NEED TO REMEMBER, AND STOP CONVENIENTLY FORGETTING that the Mueller probe’s intent was to cover up information under an umbrella of investigation.
* As a result, Wray could not have produced information about any of these activities that had been improperly vaccuumed up into the probe!
* Don’t blame Wray for documents not being produced in the past. That was done by Mueller+team by design – to hide evidence.
* Now that the Mueller probe is over, that cover over the evidence is finally open for investigators. NOT to the general public. (Yet.)
* Reporters and Pundits do not have a right to evidence during a criminal investigation. FULL STOP.
* Reports show Wray is producing documents now.
* “But where are MUH DOCUMENTS?” Check it out -> They’re in Durham’s criminal investigation.
* What do you THINK “Grand Jury Material” means? IANAL but I’m well aware of the implications…
* If Wray is bad actor, keep in mind that both Barr and POTUS can and will fire him. It could simply be that Wray is smart and knows that this would be a very bad time to be a weasel if he wants to keep himself clean. Regardless, many eyes are watching him.
