What a roller coaster these last three days have been, Fellow Deplorables! I think I said twice that President Trump does things I don’t expect…and he certainly did so today! The shutdown is on a three-week hiatus.
Does anyone imagine the Dems are going to cave on the wall in the next three weeks? So I think the Great Glorious Shutdown is just going to be coming back.
Meanwhile anyone with more brain cells than a planarian who is ALSO paying attention will realize the Dems were holding federal workers hostage, given that the Republicans tried to get their paychecks to them on at least two occasions but were rebuffed.
And they did promise to negotiate. Yeah I know, their promises are worthless. You know that and I know it.
But millions of Americans don’t know it, and they’re about to learn.

The Standing Liberty quarter design is a favorite of coin collectors, but the mint absolutely hated the coin. It was nearly impossible for them to get the design to strike up fully, and almost all of the coins had flatness on either Liberty’s head or her shield.
The Type I, introduced in very late 1916 (1916s are major rarities) depicted her with a bare breast, and there’s an old story, apparently NOT true, that there was a public outcry over this so after Mid-1917 she sported chain mail. The series ended in 1930, replaced by the Washington quarter.

He was, in the subsequent articles he wrote after that one, he again attacks Epoch Times, Jeff Carlson – @ themarketswork. I’ve long like Jeff, he’s able to discuss things, debate, but not get antagonistic. SD is turning on all other conservative analysts who don’t share his viewpoint.
Frankly, something is very wrong. It makes him feel good to make sure we know that he thinks POTUS has lost, and impeachment is here, and the end of POTUS.

I think that right there shows its not the same person. The fact that the site is going downhill as well. The correct videos are not being put up. Or new threads on hot topics. The threads that were being put up made no sense. It got very toxic and no comments were being pulled. Yet we kept being told ‘here are the rules read them, follow them’.
He seemed to be spending more time on twitter instead of the site.
I think he got bought out. He’s in FL. Maybe something happened and someone paid him off to take over the site. He went from pro MAGA to very anti MAGA that much is clear.

Too many don’t realize that we already “WON” with POTUS’ election. I was tearful for days after Obama, and the next 8 years revealed it was even worse than we’d feared.

The more I watch, the more I think the panic in DC is more widespread than we know. There are people desperate to at least LOOK like they have nothing to do with border enforcement. Yep, House GOP tried to do a Bill to only pay Coast Guard and Dems nixed it. Earlier a rep said that Coast Guard is unique, they’re in the Military, they’re stuck so to speak, they don’t have the option of quitting their job to get another, like the rest of the workers do.
Coast Guard AND Border Patrol need to be included FULLY in the MILITARY – budget, training and weaponry/equipment!!!

I’m glad you mentioned this video, Judy. I’ve watched the first hour and 20 minutes with Juan Savin and was going to post it here. This is a great overview of exactly what the Q plan is and why certain things are happening the way they are. Plus the fact that what is happening in Venezuela has been planned a very long time and is hugely important to the plan. I’ve been following Q from the beginning, but this really helped me understand the overall plan better. Highly recommended! Hopefully I’ll have time to watch the rest tomorrow.
It really connected some things that were loose in my overall understanding….hope he comes back again. It is very helpful to have someone speak from the trenches!

I just caught up reading the record # of comments on yesterday’s thread. Holy moly, Wheatie – you beat all expectations with your cozy tree invitations 😊👏😊 And I noticed at least two familiar CTH treepers commenting – a hearty welcome to BlognificentBee and SingingSoul.
I always thought of “the last refuge” as a place where we would uplift & encourage each other because there was nowhere we could gather that wasn’t inundated with never-trumpers and worthless commenters. But it didn’t turn out to be a refuge for me, because many other treepers never understood how venting their angst & “concern” – usually as immediate kneejerk reactions – affected those like me who were looking for uplifting camaraderie, not being a dumping ground for whatever bothered them.
Steve’s post tonight is a shining example of the positive refuge we have here at the Q-tree. Not only do most of us take a measured first reaction and exhibit a willingness to wait for additional details, but there is still humor & optimism even on difficult days, and an abiding willingness to trust POTUS even when we can’t quite understand a move he has undertaken.
I hope the Qtree grows. And I hope we grow with people who value a supportive refuge as much as we all do.
I am really missing Wolfie tonight. He will be so proud of all of you hosts and comment contributors. We truly are stronger together.
Alison, you’ve stated openly what I had hesitated to say. I loved CTH because it was a place of refuge, and the fellow Treepers gave community and family. No one can go forward, day in, and day out, with negativity. Even on the worst days, the general must be a leader and rally his troops.
Perhaps I didn’t understand SD’s purpose with CTH, and his goal wasn’t the same as mine/ours? It’s natural for a healthy person to seek daylight when all seems dark, a refuge when the enemy is at our door, so our responses are natural.
It’s obvious we’ve recognized that by being here.
Sunlight exposes evil, it makes us recoil in horror.
But Sunlight also is the birth of hope, a new day dawning, a world fresh with life and new possibilities. Sunlight means the end of the night, the evil doers scurry away and hide.

Lately, every time a conservative differs with MAGA, people say it must be controlled opposition, without an explanation of how that would work.
The purpose of controlled opposition is to artificially insert “opposition” into a debate to get the two sides to a desired solution. The two sides are basically arguing for the same goal, just with different words.
Example, in the vaccine debate (and I don’t want to get into this debate; this is just an example!):
***The government says, “Vaccines are safe and effective.”
***Controlled opposition says, “We do not oppose vaccines. We just want them to be safe.” The government would manufacture this “opposition” so it can be overcome to eventually convince people to use vaccines.
***True opposition says, “No vaccine is safe.”
The current issue is getting funding for a border wall and ending the government shutdown. Pres. Trump and conservatives want the full amount of funding and the government reopened. Dems say they want money spent on security measures but not a wall.
Using controlled opposition toward the goal of building the wall would involve getting some conservatives to act as if they are opposed to the plan for similar reasons as Dems are, in order to get Dems to see the reasonableness of our position and get them on our side.
But that isn’t what’s happening. Conservatives are not acting opposed to the wall in a way that would get Dems to see our side; instead, some conservatives are saying Pres. Trump caved.
A different way to frame the issue with regard to controlled opposition is that Dems are opposed to Pres. Trump, and now conservatives are agreeing with them that Trump caved. But how would that be controlled opposition, whose goal is to get the two sides to the desired conservative outcome? How does conservatives saying “Trump caved” bring Dems to the point of building a wall?
This is where the controlled opposition argument breaks down for me.
Some might say that conservatives saying “Trump caved” will serve to disarm Dems and make them think they have won. But that would not really be controlled opposition, and it’s so damaging to the conservative cause that it’s completely ineffective, in my opinion.

2) even if Stone decided that proving his innocence was his best defense strategy, if Mueller is a black hat, he already knows Stone is innocent and would not assist Stone by playing into a process that brings Assange’s evidence into the trial — there is no reason for Mueller to subpoena Assange’s documents to prove Stone’s innocence (that’s not Mueller’s job or objective) and expose Mueller’s corruption at the same time.
3) and if Mueller is a white hat, then how can Mueller be ‘proven the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on the American public’?
There was no “hack”. Too much data requiring too much time over internet lines. Had to be downloaded into some sort of flash drive from the inside, then transferred to Assange. Assange has pretty much revealed it was through Seth Rich by putting a reward out for information relating to Rich’s demise.
If these assholes wanted the truth about all this, they would just go to Assange (as Rep. Rohrbacher did, as Sean Hannity did), and look at the evidence Assange has proving it was not a state actor who gave him the emails, etc. I realize this is difficult and time consuming to do because you have to take a ship all the way across the Atlantic to the UK., which would require several months roundtrip.
Whatever the case, who knows the truth better than Assange — and yet, we are made to believe that is an impossible task. Hillary’s solution — can’t we just drone him?

I don’t think there is any comparison between Libya and Venezuela at all. That seems like very sloppy thinking. Venezuela is in our hemisphere, and the Russians are putting military assets there. Also, they are aggressive and communist, and the people there are suffering terribly. So many differences.

Venezuela’s top military attaché at the Washington D.C. Embassy has broken with the Nicolás Maduro regime Saturday, and has urged other members of the Venezuelan armed forces to recognize Juan Guaidó as the legitimate interim president, according to the Miami Herald.
“As the Venezuelan defense attaché in the United States, I do not recognize Mr. Nicolás Maduro as president of Venezuela,” Silva told el Nuevo Herald in a telephone interview from Washington.
“My message to all armed forces members, to everyone who carries a gun, is to please let’s not attack the people. We are also part of the people, and we’ve had enough of supporting a government that has betrayed the most basic principles and sold itself to other countries,” added Silva.
Silva, like all other Venezuelan diplomatic mission staffers in the United States, was ordered to return home after Maduro announced he was breaking diplomatic relations with Washington because it had recognized Guaidó as the legitimate president of Venezuela.
Maduro’s order met with some resistance from the diplomatic mission staffers.
One diplomat at the Venezuelan consulate in Houston contacted Guaidó to report that she would not obey Maduro and would help him, the interim president announced Friday in Caracas.
Silva told el Nuevo Herald that the great majority of Venezuelan diplomats in the United States share his disapproval of Maduro. -Miami Herald
According to Silva – a colonel in the National Guard, “A high percentage of diplomats here do not agree with Maduro’s usurpation of power, but there’s always fear of what can happen to relatives in Venezuela and the uncertainty of what can happen in a foreign country. Even diplomacy is now prisoner of the minority that has systematically seized control of the power in our country.”
Maduro cruised to re-election in May last year amid low turnout and allegations of vote-buying by the government. The domestic opposition, the United States and right leaning Latin American governments declined to recognize the result of the vote.
Guaido proclaimed himself interim president on Wednesday though Maduro, who has led the oil-rich nation since 2013 and has the support of the armed forces, has refused to stand down.
Earlier this week, the United States declared support for Guaido, with Vice President Mike Pence calling Maduro “a dictator with no legitimate claim to power.” Since then, most Latin American nations and Canada have all said they back the 35-year-old opposition leader. -Reuters
Many members of the Venezuelan armed forces fear reprisals by Maduro, however Silva emphasized that honest members of the military must step forward and reject the regime “because of Maduro’s usurpation of power following his allegedly fraudulent reelection,” according to the Herald.
“Enough! Leave aside the illegal control of our territory and the executive power. The leaders have become millionaires on the backs of the people,” he said. “Captains, commanders: Think about everyone who suffers. Don’t forget that your wives also can’t find milk for your children. Don’t forget that your mothers and fathers also can’t find pills for their [blood] pressure,” said Silva.
“Enough already! Let’s recognize the man who under the law is the true president of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó.

A few days earlier, Stone – a longtime Republican operative and close confidante of then-candidate Donald Trump – had mysteriously predicted that the organization would reveal damaging information about the Clinton campaign. And weeks before that, he’d even tweeted: “Trust me, it will soon [be] Podesta’s time in the barrel.”
Stone’s connection with and boasting about WikiLeaks during the campaign has always been fishy. But thanks to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, the truth is finally coming out.
